Major Setback for Couriers After Latest Update

The recent update to the Just Eat Courier app has significantly impacted the efficiency of riders. It frequently prevents couriers from extending their runs, forcing them to end their shifts prematurely. As a result, drivers are often left waiting for extended periods—sometimes hours—before they are able to start a new run. This not only disrupts workflow but also negatively affects overall productivity and earnings.

I genuinely can’t believe that a billion-dollar company has produced an app of this quality. The Just Eat courier app is extremely glitchy and unreliable, which makes day-to-day work unnecessarily frustrating.
Orders often don’t show up on the screen, and at times the accept button simply doesn’t work. There are also situations where completed orders remain stuck on the screen for hours, creating confusion and slowing everything down.
One of the biggest issues is the lack of in-app navigation. Having to constantly switch between the Just Eat app and a separate maps app is inefficient and distracting while driving.
Even worse, there are times when you receive an order notification, but it doesn’t appear in the app at all—leaving you unable to accept or reject it.
Overall, the app feels poorly designed and not fit for purpose. It would be wise for the developers to take notes from competitor platforms like Uber Eats, which offer a far more stable and user-friendly driver experience.

Preference button suggestions

They should create a button in the delivery app like the Stuart app, a button for (not delivering alcohol). And create another one for (not accepting multiple deliveries) since they claim that rejecting deliveries lowers the acceptance rate. I, for example, rarely accept multiple deliveries, only if it's on the same street, since the app also doesn't inform the customer when the driver has two deliveries like the Uber Eats app. At least the customers know we have another delivery and don't call desperately thinking we're lost or driving around with their food.

Dont bother

Imagine to pay insurance, use your car and mobile clothes bugs and gear, on your time and have the amount of time to write this lengthy review on a busy Sunday twice, as the previous review removed without any explanation! I decide on Sunday to give them another chance and to a trial for a 10h shift, but I gave up on 7h after I got just 80£ for this time spend which was including 15£ bonus… (without it would be 65£ for 7h minus petrol, tax and insurance)
The app is designed to waste your time, and this is why
1. Location accuracy is away from yards to miles! One order today the location was on next hill (8min driving)
2. When you you have to complete an order but you are 100yards far from them (because no reception or the location provided is wrong) you have to speak with support (15min waste) as the app wont allow complete it if you far more than about 100yards
3. Canceling an order after you accept it but BEFORE you collect (because either the restaurant is unable to complete or it is asking you to cancel it because of any reason) is another 10-15 min contact to support as the app wont allow you to cancel with simply click cancel
4. The app fails to register “order picked swipe” which will lead to cancellation of any compensation and then you will also receive thread by sms (yes sms) that is a serious violation and you will not get even the 1£ per half our “compensation” for the delays and they may also block your account too (yea ban you because of their issues)
5. App requests mid shift identity authentication, the issue is that it doesn’t work on low light (even with car cabin lights), this is another 10-15 min waste until you go on a place with good lightning
6. Every action is multiple clicks. eg accept the order, I have arrive to the business, pick the order, start navigate to the customer. If app miss any of this swipes then check problem 4 above…
After last update, even to pause your shift you have to exit from order, swipe, click, swipe, go again in the order… Honestly, whoever thought that is a way to use an app, should immediately change job.
7. Random push notification that you have an order, but when switching to the app - nothing. Ghost orders that canceled (but you had no orders accepted) and a lot other non sense random bush notifications (can write a paragraph).
8. No way to find a push notification history to check what the app sending to you (seriously?)
9. App may soft crash upon delivery after you insert the 2 digits pin and the order will disappear (and of course you deliver an order but no payment)
10. If you decide to extend your shift BEFORE it finishes, the app will completely ignore the extension and will go offline, then you have to start new shift and wait the time slot to go live (easy 15-20 min lost)
11. Age restricted item, if customer doesnt have ID or date of birth is wrong, app will lock the order, then you have to speak with “support” which is 10-20 min wasted
12. If you have to return an order (eg age restricted) then, the app doesn’t provide navigation back to the shop, also, lets say that you remember where is the shop, it will cost you ANOTHER 30-40 min chat session with the “support” until the app get unblocked and allow you to continue your shift
13. Update document (eg insurance) is NOT possible within the app, the redirection to their site is also on a random link without any instructions. 
 
I can keep writing for hours but you got the point, honestly do NOT bother even to download it unless you happy to work from 5-10£ per hour…

Time wasting app

I have been working with Just Eat since 2022. In the beginning, the app worked well and payments were fair. However, recently there have been too many glitches and technical issues. The system is unstable, and it directly affects our ability to earn properly.
The acceptance rate system puts a lot of pressure on drivers to accept very low-paying orders. It feels like we are being forced to take cheap deliveries just to protect our account status. Because of this, I have started using Deliveroo and Uber more often, as they currently provide better earning opportunities.
On average, I am not earning more than £50 from this app, which is very disappointing compared to before.
Customer support is also very poor. When an age-restricted delivery gets cancelled and we have to return the item to the store, both the original delivery payment and the return payment disappear. Drivers end up wasting time, fuel, and effort without compensation. No response for emails.This is completely unfair.
Overall, the platform has significantly declined in terms of driver support, app performance, and fair pay. Serious improvements are needed.

I haven’t received my payment from the period of 15-21 December 2025 and also, 29 December to 4Jan

I have been ignored since December 2025.
I feel like I have been rubbed by such a renamed company.
I am writing to urgently escalate my ongoing issue regarding the missing payment for the period 15 December to 21 December 2025, totaling £847.41 and £747.91 for the week 29 December to 04 January 2025.
Despite contacting you guys several times, I have repeatedly been advised to check with my bank. I have visited my bank on multiple occasions, and they have confirmed that no payment has been issued by Just Eat for this period. Today, they explicitly advised me to return to Just Eat, as the payment has not been released on your side.
I am now caught in a loop between your support team and my bank, with no progress being made. This situation has already caused significant financial difficulties, including delays in paying my rent and other essential bills. I have fulfilled all your requests, and I urgently need this matter to be taken seriously and resolved.
I kindly request that this issue be escalated to a senior payments specialist or manager who can properly investigate and confirm when my payment will be released.

Latest update does not handle update to driving license

This is one of the worst ever versions ever. When you update your driving license due to expiry of your previous one. Even after you upload your documents you are prevented from earning money as the app seems to be stuck in a loop. Sometimes you get the inactive message without any acknowledgement that your driving eligibility has passed when you look at the portal it suggests you need to prove work eligibility and check emails but there's no emails whatsoever from
Sterling. The worst thing is you never get any replies to emails and now they say use the courier support form which on my iPhone does not allow you to select any of the options in the drop down. This is so frustrating when you are simply trying to get to work quickly. YOU NEED TO URGENTLY FIX THESE ISSUES AND TREAT YOUR DRIVERS WITH MORE RESPECT!!!!

Payment issues

I am a Just Eat courier, and I’ve had repeated serious payment issues that have still not been resolved.
Multiple times, I have delivered orders to the customer’s address, but the customer did not answer. I contacted support and was instructed to return the order to the shop (especially for alcohol orders). After returning the order, it was completely removed from my app.
The problem is not only that I was not paid for the return — I was not paid the original delivery fee either. That means Just Eat owes two fees, yet I received nothing.
This has happened several times, not just once.
On top of that, I have also had orders cancelled after I already drove towards the restaurant. According to Just Eat policy, couriers should receive partial payment in these cases, but again, no payment was added, and the order disappeared from the app.
Customer support is extremely unreliable:
•Emails often go unanswered
•Issues are marked as “resolved” but payments never appear
•Orders are removed from the system, leaving couriers with no proof
This is unacceptable. Couriers should not lose money for doing their job correctly and following support instructions.
Until Just Eat fixes these payment and support issues, I cannot recommend working for them.

It’s high time this app is looked into

It’s honestly high time this app is looked into. First, it’s highly network sensitive, hence for drivers in areas like Canterbury, it’s hell using this app. Also, the face scan irks me to my nerves. I mean, Uber does the random face scan, but not with the same flood light requirement as Just eat demands. Like y’all expect me to drive to the nearest stadium where my spirit and soul can be seen before I can continue working??? I mean it’s takes a whole to make above the minimum wage, why do we have to go through sooo much stres? Please call your PM, dev guys, etc, and review this thing. App issue

There is a big issue now i am facing that i cannot go offline either log out everytime I tried to log out by ending the run its showing an error message. The last double order is just disappeared in the middle of the order while i am delivering the order since then now i am facing the issue that showing matching with orders and didn’t get matched with one order. I tried all the troubleshooting steps nothing happened. Why the app is giving the courier’s so many problems. There is no reply from the courier support for the email that i sent. So disappointing

Extremely Unreliable and Poorly Managed App

The JustEat app is one of the most frustrating apps I’ve ever used. It constantly crashes, frequently doesn’t respond, and is riddled with system and network errors. For the past two days, I haven’t been matched to a single order — not even during active blocks — and the app won’t even allow me to end my block early due to ongoing system issues.
Support is virtually nonexistent. I’ve messaged, emailed, and reached out through every possible channel, but no one replies. It feels like complaints just disappear into thin air. There’s zero accountability and no communication from the support team.
Sometimes the app works — but most of the time, it doesn’t. The performance is completely unpredictable and makes it impossible to rely on for consistent work.
Overall, this app is very, very poorly developed and even more poorly managed. It needs urgent fixing, better support, and basic functionality before it can be taken seriously.

Unreliable App & No Real-Time Support

As a Just Eat courier, I’ve faced frequent and frustrating issues with the courier app. Almost every other day, a new technical problem appears — from orders disappearing after arrival to the app freezing completely. We never know which order might be our last of the day due to these unpredictable crashes.
The biggest concern is the lack of real-time support. When the app is stuck or frozen, how are we expected to contact support through the app chat? It’s not practical to rely on online forms or delayed email responses when we’re out on live shifts.
There needs to be a dedicated support helpline or a responsive in-app help system that actually works during emergencies. This ongoing lack of stability and support affects our ability to earn and provide good service to customers.
I hope Just Eat takes these issues seriously and improves both the reliability of the app and the availability of real-time courier support.

Terrible app & support

Just Eat has become the worst platform out of the food platforms to work for, your so called support for drivers is a joke, take a leaf out of Deliveroos support and app, they are second to none and run rings around you. The pay has dropped so much on just eat for the orders that take the longest to be ready cause you send us to the pick up at the same time they are receiving the order & the distances for your orders are getting further whilst you drop the fees per order constantly! You do know we have to pay for our fuel, insurance & ware to tear to our vehicles right?! Then we can’t even get our pay immediately and have to wait for the following Friday to arrive. Then there’s the joke of booking shifts and shifts being taken away from us if we miss one by error!!! What a joke, should be made illegal because you don’t actually pay us a set wage per hour so why the rules about taking shifts. I used to think

Just Eat, honestly, the service you’ve been providing to drivers is getting worse by the day. With every app update, things only get harder for us to work. And the support? It’s by far the worst among all delivery platforms. You’re the only company that forces drivers to go through support just to cancel a delivery — even when it’s obvious it can’t be completed. I’ve personally waited up to FIVE HOURS just to have a simple order cancelled, something that should take seconds if we had the option to do it ourselves in the app. This is inhumane!
This week alone, I lost several hours because of your platform — I couldn’t even log into the app during peak hours due to constant errors caused by your terrible update.
And as if all that wasn’t enough, the pay per delivery has become absolutely insulting. It’s a complete lack of respect! Deliveries of 7 miles for £7? That’s a bad joke. Do you really think we’re starving and desperate enough to humiliate ourselves for that kind of money? Have some decency and start valuing the drivers who actually keep your platform running — because without us, there is no Just Eat!

As a delivery driver, using the Just Eat app has been frustrating and disappointing. The app is glitchy and unreliable — it crashes randomly, routes are inaccurate, and sometimes I don’t even get notified of new orders properly. This directly affects my ability to work efficiently and make a decent income.
The pay is also inconsistent. Some deliveries barely cover fuel costs, especially during off-peak times. There’s no transparency on how fees are calculated, and support is almost non-existent when issues come up. If an order is cancelled or there’s a problem at the restaurant, drivers are left to deal with it on their own with little to no help from Just Eat.
There’s also no incentive or recognition for hard work. No bonuses, no flexibility, no proper support system. Just Eat treats drivers like we’re disposable.
I wouldn’t recommend this platform to anyone looking for a fair and reliable gig.

Stupidly working app

This app is most stupid app i ever experienced. Even when app required update its not updating, or at least it takes hours before it starts updating. Regarding support services for driver - if you need to cancel or remove order you are waiting at least 25-30 mnts to get respond, especially when app gives you 3 hour shift that’s nonsense to waste 30 mnts to be supported. Regarding earning - last 6 months just eat pays like uber, average £3-£3,5 per trip, most of orders are outside of dedicated zone - pick ups and drop offs much far from your zone. Stupid! Recently I witnessed the fact that becycle driver get payment more or same like motorbike driver;) funny and again stupid!! Motorbike driver got more expenses to drive same mileage. Regarding shifts - one driver gets 4 shifts a day, which is 12-14 hours a day and other driver get just 22-24 hours a week in total which is 6-7 shift a week/ 3 hours daily.
Overall, after using just eat a year i can say this app is stupid app ever!!
Just Eat says - do money when you want, where you want and how much you want - really?!! Giving shift for exact hours, low payments and limiting driver for zones and tracking- thats a fake statement from company!

Worse app ever

The Just Eat Courier app is by far the worst delivery app I’ve ever used – and it’s not just my experience; every single driver I know faces the same issues:
1.App Freezes on Launch
The app often gets stuck on the loading screen for 3–5 minutes. Other apps like Uber Eats and Deliveroo open instantly, but Just Eat’s app is extremely slow and unreliable.
2.Crashes & Freezes During Orders
While accepting or completing a job, the app regularly freezes or gets stuck on the map screen. This affects my ability to work properly and causes huge frustration.
3.Worsening With Every Update
Instead of improving, every update makes it worse. The latest layout change added more clutter on top of the map, making it harder to navigate and use. It’s poorly designed and not driver-friendly at all.
4.Performance Issues
The app drains battery, lags even on fast phones, and struggles with basic tasks. GPS and routing are slow and unreliable.
Suggestion:
Just Eat needs to seriously rebuild or properly optimize the app like Uber and Deliveroo, who have fast, smooth and driver-friendly systems. Focus on speed, stability, and usability — we need a reliable tool to work, not an app that constantly holds us back.
Apart from all these, there are unlimited problems with the app , I can make a list it will never finish. I face million problems every day I end up not using it. They need to hire better developers right now the app has been going worse and worse with every update.

Not working

This is the worst delivery app jut yesterday I received a txt message as I didn’t swipe collect from the restaurant which I didn’t and obviously if u don’t swipe at the restaurant u can’t after only if u go online chat and they can do it for you and today as I’m writing this review after nobody answered to chat as my app I can’t open it and my shift just started I deleted the app restarted my phone and still the same issue, I can’t start my shift I mention that I’m home connected to WiFi and all other apps working fine
My advise to you guys restart the app or reset it as is the worst delivery app instead donating millions to football pay the delivery partner a fair price and fix the app

Worst app in the world ran by the worst company in the world

Clueless company. I am Cyclist Courier and the jobs you are getting ridiculous and for the pay off is a joke.
App is awful, they change app so you can’t get route on Google maps until you accept the job because they de-fraud you of money. They go as the crow flies but a route could be longer than what it say especially longer jobs. Job could be 4mile as crow flies but it’s actually 6miles. Less mileage means less money they pay you.
Support is the worse, don’t bother trying get an answer from them. They sound like they are restricted to copy and paste from a word document just eat made them download.
They don’t know difference between towns and cities or difference between cars and cyclists.
If you are in low acceptance rate, you get awful jobs to see you are willing to do them before you get others. I’ve had no jobs for like 3 days then you get an offer that 7miles away from where I was.
We need to stand up against these people or they will keep winning.

This is the worst app to work with

This is the worst app to work with, both as a driver and as a customer! Just had one the most ridiculous experiences with the chat support as a driver (and consequently the customer I was delivering to as well). Collected an order with restricted item and drove to the customer, when I got there the app’s gps wouldn’t recognise that I was at the right place, so could not mark that I had arrived (with the customer looking right to me). No matter how hard I tried or how many times I explained, only got the same message: ‘return the order’. Not sure if your chat is purely AI, but it’s ridiculous! your customer said to me she’ll change to either uber or deliveroo.

Location accuracy very poor

I’ve been working with Just Eat, and while the job has its benefits, there are some major issues that need improvement.

Newly built zones are never updated

I don’t understand why this app is made in a way that the driver can’t report anythting that isn’t related to an order the app is just not functional as the only way to talk to a real person from just eat is only if you have an order and the most annoying them of them all is how you never update the Newley built houses and have to waste half an hour going further than you were actually told because of it and because you have to go so far from the actual adress that is on the app you end up getting reported by just eat from leaving without completing the order so then it’s still somehow my fault change this asap because I know so many couriers who said them same thing it’s genuinely such a big problem it makes it so annoying to use and making you lose money because you can tell anyone from just eat your problem properly and also how long a lot of people take when you text me because I don’t Indy why I can’t just call someone as they take a million years to get a reply back fix this l.

Several issues

First of all it’s the support for us couriers, it simply lack in respect both for us and for customers, takes ages to cancel an order no matter the reason leaving us waiting and losing money and time and the customer starving waiting for food. Secondly the map is completely bugged, when you get an offer the map doesn’t open widely, you have to stop your vehicle to manually open it, making you lose time and attention specially with the countdown time to accept the order, so you can’t see where you suppose to go, that issue takes out our ability to avoid traffic and plan the journey. Third thing that still bothers a lot is the fact of Just Eat sending orders first to Couriers than to the merchant, in many cases I got to the merchant right after having accepted an order and it doesn’t had gone into their system yet! That in my opinion is a trick to limit our capacity of making 3 or more orders per hour, that way limiting our hourly income, it’s a dumb algorithm that makes us wait for ages for an order to be prepared!

Zero stars

I'm giving 1 star because there is no option for 0. My account has been inactive for two days, after a verification of documents that they sent me out of the blue, without warning, everything is fine, I did the verification and the account was unlocked for me to use. When I woke up the next day to work, my account was full of crashes and errors. I've been trying to contact support for two days now, but they always end my chat without any explanation of how I can solve it. I'm stopping working for this application because until today I have not had this problem with any other! Very bad. Rating 0 for the app full of crashes and Rating -1000 for support! Unprofessional

I am waiting from last 1 year 2 months to update zone near me however till now I didn’t get chance to get update zone in app as showing no open zone however my 2 friends applied 2 weeks ago as new driver they just got Id and zone within 10 days however I was waiting more 1 year. This is really unprofessional. I contacted them as well no response and always said zone is not open. If I was on just eat from more than 1 year and zone is nit open for me hence how It is possible to get just eat id and zone within 10 days. There is no waiting list system who apply first and give chance first to them give zone, no record of data just regular check for zone by own this is kind of luck. So it is like a gambling platform not a professional platform I am serious disappointed. Other food delivery app just put you on waiting list so once they have space they give ID as per application dates.

Absolutely horrible and never to work

Absolutely terrible experience i drive with them drivers ver a year and never been an issue and sudden of no where they blocked me saying I have multi accounts opened which are against their policy. But wait there I’ve never have multi account I only have 1 and why would they do this now not before / when I started So basically if you work less hours and choose more shifts and put the app on pause trips. Which likely they will block you for not covering hours especially if you reject to many orders trust me guys!!!!

App Stuck at One place since 40 days

My account is stuck on the Main Page. Its been 40 days now, I wasn’t able to go Available or Offline, and I am even not able to log out of the Id; it's stuck on the Available Option ).
I did try all ways: Restart my Mobile, Reinstall the app and Update the app and change the Mobile as well.
It happened after my account went on hold on Thursday night due to expiration of documents, and they sent me Logout, and I wasn’t able to log in to my account. But after submitting my documents, and my documents got Approved now, now I'm able to log in to my account. But I am not able to start any shift, and my app is stuck in one place. Please help me out as soon as possible. If there are still documents required, I will send my Insurance CBT and Provisional License as well. Please sort out my issue today so I can do it on the just eat.

Rubbish

So I’ve been trying to return to the network after a long term illness. I’ve done everything I’ve been told to do, submitted new docs etc, but despite my account being active for 2 weeks the app keeps saying my courier account is not currently active. I use the email link to ask about it & am told I have to now submit a form. 4 times I have now submitted the form only to receive a standard reply telling me how to use the app.
It may be not a fault of the app but those in the service department but without anyone with an ounce of intelligence working with the app makes it unfit for purpose.

Very buggy app

The app still has so many bugs I wonder if anyone is actually testing it or listening to driver feedback?
The pause orders button hardly ever works. Always says ‘try again’ when pressed. I have to close the app and open it several times to get this button to work and pause my shift.
Sometimes running the app in the background whilst using another app will cause you to miss orders and the Just Eat app ask ‘are you still there?’ It will then pause you automatically, all whilst running in the background so you don’t notice it.
The app will give you an order then ‘update the order’ which then disappears altogether.
I will sometimes get an order and it will ask immediately why I’m delayed. The app thinks it gave me the order 5 minutes ago and will also miscalculate the distance I am from the restaurant because I’ve moved in the time I actually received the order on the app.

Fixing one problem just adds two more

I’ve been using this app for 3 years and there hasn’t been a single day it’s worked without issues. Every time Just Eat tells us they’ve improved the app to make our lives easier, you know there’ll be trouble. They introduced customer location based on GPS coordinates, and a lot of new drivers, instead of delivering food to the address listed in the app, go to the location shown on the map, which can be way off. They gave the app a new look and removed the ability to call the customer while waiting for an order, so now we can’t call and ask if the customer wants a substitute because what they ordered isn’t available. The only good thing about the new app design was the distance; for one day, the app showed the full distance to be covered, from the current location, through the restaurant, all the way to the customer. They removed that after one day because it was too easy to see how they were cheating us on the distance. I could go on forever, but it’s a waste of time on these jokers. Shameful.

Work on other delivery app during the shift

Hi,
I noticed many drivers are working on other delivery apps during their just eat shifts and collecting multiple orders. Some of them are running two just eat accounts. Many of them sign up for bicycle but working on cars. What about those drivers who are honest and paying their insurances and other expenses.
You have to look into this.
You should look into this matter very seriously. The honest driver can not make money if they do run on just eat only. Many honest and hardworking couriers are struggling to make money.
It is your responsibility to look after this.

Change the design of the app as soon as possible

Older version wasn’t good but .. omg the new version will get our self injured ! The hold button is very dangerous , we are driving not playing ! Hold to accept hold to pick hold to start hold to arrive hold to deliver , terrible ! The map is so small you can’t see your point on the map , zooming is difficult! You are hiding the tips from us and when we see a good fair we think you are generous to the drivers but in the reality it’s the customer and we don’t know nothing before we go to deliver to them and say a thank you . Remove acceptance rate ! We are self employed and we have the right to reject if we don’t want to and go offline or do whatever . Why I have to give a reason why I want to end early . And so much more !

updating delivery zones

i'm using just eat delivery from last 7 months but the delivery zone i have is far away my home address and i'm always too far from my delivery zone and getting less deliveries . i have tried to reach customer care to change my delivery zone to my home address but after asking them nearly 100 times they said its not available . i asked them once in a week and always expect to change delivery zone but always they said its not available . they are not improving zones for drivers and its so much worst now like if i have to use it then i always have to go far away from my home everytime 🤐

New update the worst yet / hopeless jan 2024

Just updated it and the new update is horrific to use. The screen is now covered in tiny size 5 font which is impossible to read when an order pings in. The writing now covers half the screen and map pick up points so you can’t see where they are. Added useless meaningless straight lines over the map between pick up points to make it look a shorter distance. Unless you have an airplane or are prepared to drive through buildings then they are pointless. Then to top it off they changed the only thing that was half decent in the app. The swipe button. Now have to hold it down for 4 seconds. Ideal when you are moving and have to hold a button down. Person that has updated this has clearly never delivered an order.

Inactive application

Last month when my insurance policy expired no notification arrived warning, they simply blocked my user, I contacted via email to send the new policy, because there is no way to attach it in the app after it is blocked, after a week it unlocked. This month I made the change of insurer, and even before the old insurance expired I made the exchange within the App itself for the new insurance of another company, but when the insurance that was in the App expired you do not consider the new one I added, blocked the App again, and it has already been a week with it blocked, I send several emails and I do not receive any response. I've already sent the insurance by email and none of the app is unblocked.

Delayed Orders In Reason With Restaurants

In general the app is very good we have to be reasonable about demand with restaurants delivery orders I think it’s not always technical it’s more employees in the restaurant staff shortage or no concentration on the drivers kiosks when high demands with orders coming in I can’t see this changing manager area manager staff concentrate more in the the McDonald’s restaurant on drivers when he is there sometimes on Saturday I have seen this with my own eyes on a number of times will it change, the big question when demand is high for the online order customers.

Not really worth it

App constantly crashes on my iPhone. Especially in low signal areas. So then you have to drive round trying to load the app back up again with somebody’s food in your bag. You have to tell the app your outside, and that only works when you’re at the address. So if there’s no signal you’re buggered, a problem in York unfortunately.
Also if there’s traffic don’t bother, it keeps telling you you’re not moving you and prompting you to tell the app you’re still doing the order. Encouraging you to use your phone while driving. Eventually it just takes the order away from you. Sent me down the same road with roadworks backward and forward 3 times today, every time it got upset at me for taking too long.
If you’re desperate for money between jobs then do what you have to do, other than that use it for ‘beer money’
All in all, it’s terrible, but honestly, all delivery apps are, and the ‘help line’ is never worth using 😂

Used to be a good platform to earn but gone down hill…

Used to be a good platform to earn but gone down hill recently. When it works, it works well & when it doesn’t it leaves you stranded!
The support is non existent, the support staff are all illiterate and don’t understand the query and they reply with copy and paste irrelevant info back which doesn’t help at all.
Email support is just as useless and if you do get a response it’s irrelevant and you have to bounce a few more emails to them.
I’ve been a delivery driver with them for over 2 years and I’ve been working pretty much every day. Shifts are allocated every Thursday for the following week.
The area I work in isn’t over saturated with drivers so the earning potential is reasonable.
After an update my app stopped working and have been emailing support for a week and there’s no reply! This means I can’t go online and that means I have no income!

Poor support

The support is very poor. Most of the time they don’t even understand what the query is. The responses are copy and pasted. No real effort is made to resolve the issue. One driver is sitting with no orders while another driver gets order after order. There should be a better way to deal with order cancellation. If I get 2 orders and only want to do one, I should be able to select one, we shouldn’t have to accept both and then message chat to remove one of them. Half the time by the time they understand what we want both orders are ready. In general the app is pretty poor and even worse support.

If I could leave 0 I would

I am so angry with Just eat, I’ve been waiting for 1.5 years for them to release new slots in my area and because it’s so confusing when apply I thought I’ve done something wrong because it would just say ‘not available in you are’ but no email confirmation nothing. Then after a while a try again and can’t remember what email address I have used and used another one and so on few times because they just can’t be bother to send back an email saying ‘thank you for your application will contact you whenever’ and now when finally was available they said they blocked me because I applied from multiple email addresses … So angry!!!

Some suggestions

The app has generally improved since I started with JustEat 2 years and 3000 deliveries ago! But the main two problems still exist i.e. couriers cheating the run allocation system and the automatic reimbursement pay.
Tracking suspicious shift grabber activity is a great idea, but it’s not really making much of difference yet. Maybe it’s time to scrap shift allocation and allow free login? The 50p bonus could be applied to times of low drivers or high delivery demand. I certainly think it would at least be worth trialling in a few areas to see if helps.
The reimbursement system has improved massively, so I rarely have issues, but when I do it’s very frustrating. There needs to be a complete change of mindset. The support staff seem to have been trained to assume that a delay is most likely down to a courier cheating rather than a pickup being delayed. I’m not suggesting that some couriers don’t cheat, but we’re all being treated as cheats when delays are, by a HUGE margin, caused by orders not being ready.

Joke..

This app became an absolute joke. Have been working for JE for over 2 years, but recently this job is becoming unbearable... Ignorance, cheating, lying, accusing of things I have not actually done wrong like updating my status incorrectly so they can avoid paying me money for long waits in restaurants... The live chat is actually a bunch of useless robots...
Accusing of being static while actually driving to the restaurant is another chapter... I understand they are trying to eliminate the multiappers, but come on!
I won't mention other glitches in this trush app,because I would have to write a whole roman..

Poor support to the extreme and payment inaccuracies.

Work for Just Eat if you’re prepared trade flexible working, for poor support to the extreme, and payment inaccuracies.
Unfortunately the Just Eat support system is woefully inadequate. I’ve tried to clarify or resolve various issues, for example, adding or changing zones, and the fact that I have yet to receive a single restaurant delay reimbursement despite many delays, among other issue. The support agents frequently contradict each other, give you an answer that bears very little relation to the question you ask, disconnect your chat if you attempt to persist in trying to get a sensible answer (under the guise of answering your question with a non-answer, then asking if there’s anything else they can help with and then no longer replying to anything you say), and in relation specifically to the fact that I never get reimbursed for restaurant delays, trot out the same ‘if you follow the correct swiping procedure then reimbursements happen automatically’ - it doesn’t, I’ve followed the instructions to the T.
The problem is a lack of accountability mixed with a faceless organisation. The support agent you chat with cannot be identified by any means and there is no way you can engage in any escalation process if there is an issue (and there frequently is.)
In conclusion, you have to accept these facts and also that at any time you can be booted from the network - you are entirely expendable and therefore you have to understand you are a completely unimportant resource to the organisation.

Buggy mess

The app uses every possible trick to lower your fees, this action makes bugs that effect your experience. You can drive all the way to a restaurant, arrive, a bug happens and your order is gone, support won’t help you and you will still pay insurance, fuel etc. This app needs another app to work, Zego, another scam app designed to strip you of wealth. These apps are scams, they feed you for a month and then you become just like everyone else. These apps can’t steal money from the customer, so they steal it from the restaurants and drivers. I worked just eat for 3 years, it’s dead now, go ride a bike with deliveroo, you’ll make more money.

Many bugs and needs improvement

When I first started delivering for Just Eat, I loved the app. But after nearly a year, you recognise its many failings.
The biggest problem is that picking up or confiming runs frequently results in an error message. This makes it virtually impossible to pick up decent runs quickly on a Thursday. Your only option is to mash the screen with your finger to dismiss the message and try to accept again before someone else grabs it.
Another failing is that the order number is too small. We often have to show the order number to restaurant staff before we pick up the food, but you have to hold the screen right up to their faces for them to see it clearly.
The active order screen also often does not update properly after you swipe. You swipe to say you've collected an order but the screen simply returns you to the 'collect order' screen. It's easy to refresh - you simply pull the screen down - but there's no good reason why this bug shouldn't be fixed.
The little animated screen which pops up after you've swiped is also an unnecessary distraction. Often, I'll swipe to say I've arrived at a customer's address, and need to see their house number quickly - but each time, you have to wait for the little animation to finish. It's not long but it's irritating when you're trying to complete your job as quickly as possible.
The quality of the support experience is separate from the app but I can't not mention it. Sometimes the people you chat to are polite and helpful. But more often than not, they're rude and don't appear to understand what you're saying. There are many occasions where I've had to explain things to them multiple times - for example, that I'm literally right outside the customer's address yet still cannot swipe because the app thinks I'm further away. They seem to assume that we are stupid or that we're trying to cheat the system. A bit of sympathy and better listening skills would go a long way.

App feature

The app is getting better each update, I think a good feature to add is bathe customer being able to see the courier driving to the restaurant or remove the parked at restaurant swipe and make this automatic to help prevent couriers using multiply account and delaying the food delivery to the customer, I think most of the couriers that do this correctly will have no issue with this change and will only have a negative impact on the couriers that use multiple accounts and apps.

1 star because of the live chat support

Many things I can overcome that are not okay with the app, but NOT the completely unhelpful, incompetent and quite frankly - plain stupid support team. It happens ever so often that waiting at a Mcdonalds does not pay delay reimbursements to the driver, this is when I personally attempt to contact the support team by telling them I have actually updated my status not even close to the restaurant but INSIDE it and every time I get the same pre-written response, that the systems calculates automatically and no one bothers to actually check or do something. Many times I’ve asked what is the system that they’re using to track the drivers and why it’s off, never do I receive an adequate response. When I want escalation they send me a longer, again automated response and redirect me to Their courier e-mail support. I wrote a very detailed email, explaining how unhelpful their live support is and asking the same questions about delay and low and behold I receive an automated response of when And how I should update my status....
Appalling support team, just appalling.

DISGUSTING COMPANY

I don’t understand why just eat still keep hiring more drivers?
We secluded our shifts but we only get 3/4 hours in a week but I have seen people they work all day in whole week even taxi drivers.
The app is disgusting it gives wrong distance if it’s 3 miles it’s shows 2.5
We get very less fee for long distance delivery there should have an option to decline on order because of long distance and most restaurants takes so long and we only get £1 for 10 minutes delay .
Where’ve I park I see other drivers they take 2/3/4 orders but I have to wait when they all leave and then I get an order which over 3 miles and I get only £7.65

Lots of bugs and improvements needed

Like many other reviews here, and I’ve fed this back, when a run is due to finish (say at 3pm) and another run start at 3pm, you don’t get any orders from about 2.30pm. I’ve fed this back but they don’t listen.
Also, there should be an option to receive tips through the app, as most people don’t have loose change at the moment and also want to minimise interactions, due to COVID.
If you refuse a delivery, your acceptance rate should not be affected. It could be because that restaurant is notoriously slow, but your future deliveries shouldn’t be affected.
Any payments for delays at restaurants do not always come through. I’ve been told it’s automatic, but it doesn’t work. I’ve had many delays at McDonald’s and I’ve rarely had a delay payment.
So there are quite a few things to adjust and fix.

Annoying things

In the last half an hour it basically never gives me an order/delivery, which means that if I have a 3 hour long shift, that is technically 2.5hrs only at max. The app sometimes loses connection randomly, but that’s a minor issue. Another problem is that I constantly have to toggle location services for this app only, because it refuses to work when I set up “only when using app” and only works with the option “always” share location, which drains my battery all day long even when I’m not working.
The big issue is that if I complete a delivery 35-40 minutes before my shift ends, it usually refuses to give me another order which cuts deeply into both my time and my payment as well. The app actually prefers you to finish your shift half an hour early rather than sticking around to wait for another/last delivery... This should be fixed somehow.

App Calculate wrong

I’m working at just eat like 4 months and during this time every time the app calculate wrong my trips fees like this week I was working £427
After they show’s I was working jute £412
Unfortunately non of the Costomer service can’t do anything this issue not a just one time happened,every time happens .
no good management even you send them screenshots of your earnings still they not do anything I just write the reviews maybe some of the head office can see this problem until now I calculate they didn’t pay me like £100 which is not fair we working hard at corona risk and raining ,Insurance fees,and petrol and your body energy if they take of your money you will get mad isn’t?
I’m regarding to manger which we can’t talk to you please do good management of your company we are not happy wit your app and listen to your drivers we are a not bad people we are hard working people I’m reviewing from United Kingdom from Portsmouth.

It puts you offline all the time!!!

This app is full with bugs and issues.
1. The map have no point I don’t know why exist in the app when is not used I just sits there and not do anything.
2.No visual representation in the app every time when you receive order you need to switch to apple or google maps to check where is the restaurant and where is the costumer, which can lead you to accident.
Again they have map on the app but why using it!
3.The app can’t hold the screen on all the time it’s switches off.
4. They are claiming that they are paying for waiting times in the restaurant but they don’t even if you follow all the rules.
5. The Most Important
The app puts you offline all the time when they will give you order because the notification for the order doesn’t come if you have another app open like google maps or apple maps.
6. I have reported all of this bugs to the support 100 times and they haven’t done anything at all and it’s been more than 1 year.
