A must have for any business owner/content creator

I’m not one to write reviews but this has been blowing my mind for about a week since I got this. The AI script generator is impressive with the ability to tweak it yourself and add your own flow. The whole process in making content has compounded my time in such a way it’s a game changer for my business. The AI eye correction doesn’t always work, but non the less it’s brilliant

Quick and accurate

The tool is fantastic and so accurate even with my accent!

The support team are amazing, I’ve raised 3 queries with them so far, which to be honest was down to user error on my part, but they’ve responded quickly and pleasantly every time.

Has potential but not intuitive and has bugs

The price is ridiculous for a buggy app. I like how the subtitles look, but the timing of the AI subtitles is completely off. Plus I couldn't figure out how to reposition them.

It would be nice to have a basic free version before asking for such a high subscription fee. Otherwise I can't even have a good play with it before having to pay to see if it's any good.

Disappointed as a big content creator

For my first video the app was fantastic but timing is definitely off. The words are 90% correct but the timing is awful. Plz fix this

Terrible

It wouldn’t even follow a 20 second video. Words start way too early no matter what format. It begins great and later the words appear faster than they are said. Sometimes slower. Video keeps skipping parts and there is no way to add time to the breaks in between each sentence. It automatically does it but even that is not the right amount. At this point I’m better of doing it myself manually. Yes it comes up with them and the wording is right but what’s the point if it’s still typing chocolate when you’re now saying spread.

The captions look great on my videos and there rarely any mistakes, even with my brummie accent😂. Which saves me a lot of time.

Almost amazing

Almost an amazing app - but the translations (in my case in Spanish) work only a small percentage of the time. Funnily enough, repeating the process sometimes seems to make the app work. I simply haven’t been able to get any reliability out of it and I’m about to give up.

It’s worth the money

I trialled the app for a few days and it was very easy to use, and I liked all the designs that they have an all the different fonts you can use. And I also like that, it gives you titles for your videos, as well as descriptions and hashtags to use all round great app

Amazing, but can use some improvements

I’ve been using this app to caption dozens of videos over the past month, and my experience with it has been great.

it’s easy, fast, and simple to use. There’s a variety of options for captions, but there are a few bugs and features I wish this app had.

Like, it’d be nice to have a magnetic grid that you can turn on or off to reposition the text and make sure it’s centred, and it would be nice to save the positions as a preset, to keep every edit consistent with the position of the captions. It would also be cool to have a better ‘safezone’ outline, to highlight the top and bottom of the video, where your captions won’t be very visible.

It would be nice to get more options for fonts, and to have the option to import my own.

I think an iPad optimised and a Mac app for these would be sick. And it would also be cool if I could export the video of just the captions, without a background, that I can then import into another editing app, and resize the captions and stuff too.

And overall I think the app could use a bit of a bug cleanup. Like on my iPhone the app thinks my screen is larger than it is, and some options on the right of the screen are cropped out when selecting captions (a reinstall didn’t work). And sometimes the audio and captions are off by a few seconds, which causes me to have to fix stuff and is annoying. And some captions randomly repeat themselves in points where there isn’t supposed to be any captions at all.

But I’d say this is the best app on the App Store right now for captions. It can use some tweaks and improvements, but overall I’m happy with it, and the yearly subscription is really well priced.

I definitely recommend this app to any content creators out there, and even people with their own video editing business.

Amazing and Revolutionary

Amazing app, does what it’s supposed to with great accuracy and very quickly!

This app will help you save sooo much time with subtitling and is easy to use.

Just some improvements that could be added:

1. be able to centre text vertically, horizontal or both.

2. be able to change the colour of one specific word

New update not working

It now adds ‘pauses’ but For the last 2 days a lot of the timing is completely off. Words come much later or before they actually do on several points of the video. Impossible to fully fix manually.

I saw an advert for this and decided to try it. But it is PAID. Because of this, I tried to delete the app. BUT IT DOESNT LET ME. What’s the point in the app if you’re going to make me pay without even showing the feature? Just make the whole goddamn app paid, and also LET ME DELETE IT. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

This app deserves a great review. It’s awesome. When I first got it, it was good. Now through some new updates, the auto subtitles are so accurate, it’s unreal how much time I save when producing content. Thanks for making an incredible app.

I thought this app would be too good to be true. But after seeing an advert on TikTok about it I really just thought “let’s just download that and try it later on” I did…. And I got amazing results. Why censorship?

Hi. I get very suspicious when an app censure information. You can’t write about politics, religion or other controversial matters. Wonder why you are stopping it? If platforms are stopping things is one thing but a creator app. I didn’t even had a political intention with my post. It was more describing the timeframe. I’m put off help like this and apps. I promote freedom of speech in normal doses.

So close yet so far

The app is good at best. I have 2 things to say, lack of customisation and poor timing

You really don’t have many options to edit your chosen caption style and once the captions are generated its very hard and tedious to edit the timings of the captions when nearly all the time they’re a half second out of time which makes it more unpleasant to watch than if there were no captions.

Fun Captions, But…

I love the captions style options. I’m personally a FOCUS loyalist. It’s pretty good at creating almost perfect captions that fit the dialogue. I wish we could caption videos that are longer than 3 minutes. Very annoying I have to trim it to work. I also wish that you had a desktop app. If I could run this exact app on my PC, it would be a game changer for me.

Update: the reply to this said an update would fix these requests but they are still not available. Since updating, every video now automatically includes emphasise, which I would love to keep permanently off unless I press the button to enable it (like it used to be). Love the new red bars telling you where not to space your captions.

Need more aspect ratio options

Just starting using the app and so far so good with the captions and options to edit them.

Possible future updates which would be helpful (in my opinion) more aspect ratio options 4:3,4:5, 5:4 etc

Would also be great if you could import fonts for the captions, I use it for clients social media and would be great to try and match their business font in the subtitles.

Can’t trim long clips down to 1min?

I am a paying subscriber for this app but there’s one thing that is really frustrating and I am considering cancelling my subscription because of it.

You can’t trim longer clips down to one minute or 90 sec which is necessary for IG reels.

Not there’s an easy way to edit videos.

For a paid app, I would expect good basic editing facilities (clips rearranging, save your progress, not lose work you’ve done).

I had to start over several times because there’s no precise way of trimming your clips or rearranging them.

One month to go, if this doesn’t improve I am back to Instagram built in captions which don’t looks so well but they work.

Another expensive subscription

This works pretty well but it’s not at all clear you can only use it with a monthly subscription though you get 3 days to try it out.

To me, “in app purchases” means free with add on features not try before you buy.

Immediately deleting as it’s another misleading app.

Why is it so hard to be up front and honest and say there’s a subscription?

Yes, if you expand the “in app” section you can see the prices listed out but there is no way to opt out of a regular charge and have a reduced set of functionality. I expect they simply want you to try it and hope you think it’s worth £7 a month or £53 a year.

It’s clever and will have taken hard work but I’d rather have a single payment and actually own an app.

So it’s quite good with captions. I just need to find a way to highlight certain words and have the text colour of those specific words change.

Game changer

Absolutely love this app, I run a video production and SMM agency and we do a lot of subtitle work for clients. This is probably saving us about 15 hours per week.

Good but could be better

The captions feature itself is very good, you have plenty of options to customise it to your liking, the accuracy is quite good and it’s easy to edit when it doesn’t get things quite right.

My only frustration with the app is that you can only export videos in 30FPS. I make my videos in 60FPS to make them extra fluid but there is no option for this. So while I enjoy the app and think the captions look good, I won’t be using it for my videos unless this feature is added.

The Best Caption Styles

Honestly, this app does lack a few features that others offer, but find me an app that gives you caption presets like this. There isn’t one. This absolutely delivers when it comes to creating amazing looking captions that defer from the basic style every other app creates. Also the emojis are so good.

The captions are not in sync…

I’m new to the app, after seeing it on tik tok, this app’s idea is great, and will save creators so much time but after adding in a video to try it out, it’s delayed so the text comes on the screen slower than when I’m speaking in the video. This shouldn’t be a problem….

Sometimes the text is wrong but that’s not a huge problem, should be an easy fix, I’m just annoyed that the text is delayed even though this app would have been so useful. I’ve already paid as-well so please sort this out.

After the recent update, I was asked to pay before exporting my video. This app used to be free. I missed the memo where this has changed. I lost all my work. A warning should be given to users before recording because I can’t retrieve my recording even without subtitles anymore. What happened?

Now expects £35 to use!

Used to use this app quite a bit then had to pause my social media content for a while. When I came to create my first video up my return, after filming and then tweaking my captions, the app asked for money in order for me to save my video! Didn’t give me any option other than to pay, and I couldn’t get back to my video, so I lost my work. This app used to be free. Can’t find anything out about when this changed or why, so the loss of my work and the lack of transparency has meant I’m finding an alternative.

Sometimes it work sometimes not

Editing captions is well impossible… adding extra works in the middle of words also very difficult unless you have a full day to move everything by one or adding 2 words in 1 box. One of my videos I had to give up as it only picked up on 20 words and left a massive blank I tried fixing it but can’t add or move the time slot when it’s shown up…..

It’s not censoring bad words properly

This is a good app for adding simple captions to your videos, but one thing I don’t like is how it censors bad words. First of all it doesn’t even bleep it out properly… you can still hear the word. Second of all, this system is very confusing with what words it censors! Some swear words don’t get bleeped out. I think it is best that all profanity gets bleeped out, including slurs.

Can’t share to TikTok..?

I rely on this app for putting subtitles on my TikTok videos. Today, for some reason, the ability to share to TikTok has disappeared. Not a huge issue because I can just save the video, but I enjoyed being able to do it in a streamlined way.

Also a couple of issues with recognising my voice - I’m always having to edit text at some point because it’s got it wrong, sometimes to the point where I have to re-record the video. Thought my voice was fairly clear... apparently not.

Can’t save to iPhone

This app produces good captions but when I try to save the clip to my phone, only the captions and a narrow vertical strip of the video are saved. I’ve tried several times, saving to iPhone or uploading to TikTok, with the same result.
