Unreliable and corrupt
The last update DELETED EVERYTHING from my Ente account supposedly and is now uploading everything from my phone again!
This is ridiculous given my phone no longer has everything — I deleted all my larger videos in the confidence that they were available on Ente
Despairing doesn’t begin to describe how I’m feeling about the possibility of having lost so many memories.
Save your money, time and sanity. If you’re looking for cloud photo storage, look elsewhere

havent been able to use the app properly yet as it just freezes when i try make an account and i cant proceed onwards

An Amazing Google Photos Alternative
Why is it good? Good app, solid face recognition that is far more tweak-able than Google Photos - oh and the end to end encryption! *chefs kiss*
Also, I like the ability to manually check whether the face recognition is working correctly. Sometimes, the software gets confused and it’s reassuring that I’m able to correct it myself!

My final photo app
A really great open source experience. The developers are slowly but surely making Ente the best open source E2EE photos app, and I’m very happy with the experience. Ability to self host is extra nice too

Was looking for a dedicated photo service for a long time and seen Ente recommended and I’m glad I subscribed, I like the machine learning included and the fact it plays my iCloud videos flawlessly. 5 star service

Phone heats very quickly with significant battery use while using the app. Albums were also created for imported photos but the photos were not added to these albums, which I then had to manually delete as the delete empty folders option resulted in their reappearance.

Super Slow
I find this super slow with only less than 300 photos/vids to transfer from album, so far it’s taken nearly 8 hours and still waiting for it to finish.

Easy enough to migrate to and use
I have found the app pretty great so far. I have seen the occasional issue which I will always try to file on the GitHub page. Keep up the good work, Ente
