Poor IT Configuration
Files does not move forward after open the PDF. Reported few times but no help from support team. Just said: will raise the issue with IT and no timeline to fix the issue. Ikea should withdraw their contract from Ikano.

Unusable
Got this app to apply for the ikea finance for our kitchen, absolutely fine applying and logging in to spend it. But haven’t been able to login since despite having saved the password and it absolutely will not send password reset emails to my email address which is also correct and working no matter how many times I try. And yes I checked the junk folder. The worst part of this is that if you want to return anything purchased with the finance you need to login to use your details for that they will not return without it. So we now cannot return items after borrowing a van to do so for an hour round trip and ikea store customer service could not give us any contact details for where to go for help with this.

Photo ID doesn’t work
So tried every way to get the photo id to work on app and web. It just comes up with photo ID but doesn’t access the camera. Settings all on for access to camera. Giving up now

Can’t login to my account

Absolutely terrible experience – still can’t log in after 2 weeks
I’ve been unable to access my account for over two weeks now. Every time I log in, the app just loops me back to the sign-in screen. I’ve cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried multiple browsers (including incognito mode), and even reset my password – nothing works.
I can see from other reviews that this has been a long-standing issue for many users, and clearly, nothing has been done to fix it. This is completely unacceptable, especially when I need to check my balance and make payments.
For a finance app tied to a major brand like IKEA, the user experience is shockingly poor. Do better.

This app is slow and when you get to marital status it freezes. So you have to restart and start again, and then… it freezes again… unusable… I guess I’ll buy my stuff somewhere else

Login and authentication issues
Terrible app, unable to finish applying for a loan as it either crashes with an ‘Oops something went wrong’ message or hangs for hours with an ‘Authenticating’ message. I’ve tried different devices with the same result

Authentication Issues
Applied for a loan and had to log-in to see whether or not I was accepted. However, the loan process requires logging in on the app and not the website, but the app constantly cycles between entering your account information, authenticating, and going back to log-in.
I don’t know if I’ve been approved or not.
Ended up paying IKEA through an entirely different method and unsure if the loan process will cause any credit issues in the future.
Don’t bother with the app as is now.

Was able to apply with no issues. Was advised a decision would be made withinn 15 mins. A few minutes later I get the email advising me to log back in to see the decision.
Now stuck in a loop of logging in, entering a one time password and being sent back to the sign on page
I can’t see the decision and if I try to log in on a web browser it says I must use the app!

The ID verification doesn’t focus the camera
Trying to submit an application, and as you get closer it doesn’t let you refocus the camera so it goes blurry / it only stays focused from so far away they can’t then approve your ID! Poorly designed verification. Baring in mind I’m on a new 15 Pro Max that the camera works fine on in every other app.

I applied for a loan, I received an email to sign my agreement but when I go to website it says “we couldn’t find … if you apply from the app go to app” when I go to app I can login but I see nothing.

Camera access issues
Dear Devs,
Tried to find contact details via the web and app, but can’t, so sending a message here.
iPhone 12 on latest iOS - is asking me go to settings to allow camera access, but there is no such setting in the app settings screen, and the camera settings screen does not list your app as having requested permission - and so can’t allow it there either. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app to kick start the permissions and still nothing. Had to switch to web to validate ID.
This is a major roadblock and would stop most people from using the app.
Hope you find the issue.

Appalling
Applied via the app, got an email & text to say there had been an update in my application but no way of logging in because the app doesn’t work just constantly sends you back to the log in page and the website doesn’t recognise you’ve made an application. Gave up and walked out of the store.

Poor app
Poorly designed app. Like many others I also had issues with logging in, having to do a OTP, it authenticating and then having to redo it all over again.
I spoke with CS who advised that if you’ve applied for a loan you just need to through the process of applying again and half way through it’ll pick your account details up and acknowledge you have an account/application in process.
This worked instantly for me but clearly a bug they’re aware off

Good app but
I can’t log into the app… my password and email get accepted I made an application got through but now can’t get pass the authentication part. I type the code or starts to load and then goes back to the log in stage. I think I’ve done it about 30 times and the same thing happens in my phone, my partners phone and my iPad. Done it with WiFi and data and still the same result, I now can’t see the update on application

As a few others have commented, you end up going round in circles constantly having to get OTP to log in, only to then be presented with the same two options, Start A New Application or Sign In.
Currently have no idea if my 0% finance has been approved or rejected, and thinking I’ll buy my sofa elsewhere

Not at all user friendly
In order to use IKEA finance, you need this app which essentially is absolutely fine. However, the usability of it is disastrous.
For example, you’re in store and ready to pay. You have to log in at the till so the assistant can see it’s your account, which needs not only the password, but then a OTP, which you have to input into the app to open it. Then, in order to use it, you need to type in what is effectively a card number, and expiring date into the card reader. Now all of that might not seem like an issue, but can you imagine holding up a queue whilst all that happens?! And if in some stores 4g and WiFi is intermittent, it’s awkward at best and sometimes, pretty embarrassing.
Every time you log into the app, it needs a OTP. Why face recognition isn’t configured to the app is a mystery. It’s all it would take to make transactions and usability seamless but instead, by cutting out the coding, just makes it laboured.
It’s frustrating. Not impossible. No glitches or faults, just not user friendly for speed.

Difficulty in filling out form
After being unable to get loan in store had to come home to get help with filling out first on my phone then computer, as I am not that good with computers both these failed with codes not being sent, finally after 4hours we finally managed to sort this out by doing it on an app , Surely there should be a facility to sort out in store very annoyed with whole thing

I was able to set up my finance properly and access my account when finished and buy my items at Ikea. But as I use strong password I am not able to login via app, I can login via website but via app it says “the password does not match the requirements” which sounds to be a validation pre-sign-up, anyway, I tried a wrong password and the error changes to “oops, your email and password is incorrect”

Insecure open banking connection
Requires open banking access to snoop though accounts but their in app browser view is not up to standard thus it doesn’t use a secure connection thus my bank Barclays won’t allow a connection through it.
Just like their smart home stuff, IKEA disappoints when it comes to digital

I recently got my apply iPhone 15 pro, tried logging multiple time, even uninstalled and installed it again but after putting the passcode from verified mobile number, it keeps revolving for authentication. Many a times it showed internal error. Not sure how to access my account as no url access available.. ridiculous..
It used to work seamlessly in iPhone 12 Pro though..

Great for large purchases - zero interest and and flexible payment options. I like to keep an eye on transactions so it would be really helpful if you could enable Face ID along with the OTP sign in - it’s quite painful to have to keep typing in the password every time. Otherwise would have given 5 stars

Waste of time
Fantastic you get approved then are unable to access your funds.
I sm unable to get past authentication process as it just sits on a white screen with the timer going around and around and around and around and around for hours, days, weeks, months and if I left it FOR YEARS!!
Customer service can do nothing.
No time frames given.
No line management to speak to.
No urgency.
Wasted credit check on file.

For some reason this bank is near impossible to contact about the quality of the app.

1.5 hours to get the thing done! Unclear instructions, crazy that you have to get a virtual card and then use it. It means that if you get the amount wrong you need to redo the process. Klarna is so much better. This is terrible

I went round in circles filling in the basic info. After at least 6 attempts and getting to the end ,each time, to be shown an error message, something wrong with my personal details. Had to wait until 9am the next morning to speak to someone - the glitch was that I hadn’t entered a street name! Living on a rural lane with no name plus the address was submitted from the selections offered from my house name and postcode. The customer service person said there was nothing they could do and had to report the issue to the technical department. It’s then up to them. This wasn’t the first time, she was getting information from a colleague who had the same prom Ken last month. Waste of time.

Inputting a date of birth is the most painful experience I have had on any app.
It was also difficult to navigate the contract documents for signature. The signature button on e mail does not defer directly to the app.
There is no information to restart an already submitted and approved application before I could sign the documents.

Easy to apply but app is not working
Really easy to apply, got approved within minutes, unfortunately I’m unable to use the app because it keeps crashing every time it loads the virtual card when you view your loan.

Can’t get past authentication screen
I downloaded the app because my card wasn’t showing on the website for some reason. But the app won’t even complete login. Hopefully it’s just a simple bug that will be fixed soon. I must say though that the 2 customer service operatives I managed to talk to before 6pm were fantastic. Really hope I can actually access the funds before the item I want is sold out again…
