Great idea but dodgy investment

Daniel's content is excellent and his work impeccable. I wish him every success. However, as a consumer, I am less than keen to use an App to make audio and ebook purchases. Firstly, the content is restricted to this app, on a phone only. It does not appear to work on desktop devices. Secondly, the downloads will only work as long as the app itself is supported. That's fine so long as Daniel is around and working on it. But there is no guarantee that Daniel won't at some point want a career change, or find this isn't a good platform for him. In short, these files could work as audiobooks (the tech supports this these days in epub). Wrapping everything with DRM and tying content to an app is I think unfortunate.
