Disappointing
Poor app - I was using them at first and it was going well. However it appears they have liquidity issues changing gbp to Tanaznia shillings. I been waiting 40 hours for a important transfer and nothing has been done

Stable and Trusted
I haven't lost any of my transactions to Nigeria so far which is more than what I can say for other similar platforms. Their rate is usually competitive. 4 stars as there is always room to improve.

Works fine so far
Been using Wise for a long time, recently shifted to Nala. It’s (so far) cheaper so the recent gets more money. I’m still a new ish customer and I have seen reviews by people saying the experience got worse so o might be jumping the gun here but I haven’t experienced this so far. In terms of speed, I’ve had to wait a couple minutes with Nala unlike Wise which is instant. Also would be great to see a “payee details matched (or not)” confirmation instead of the general “if you didn’t confirm account details it’s on you!”

This Nala look like they are fraud, over 48hour I haven’t received the money I send to my Nigeria account and they keep giving me stupid excuses that’s from their partner, what my business with ur partner, seem they are up too something, beware of them, use Nala at ur own risk. Bye

Most Useless & UNRELIABLE MONEY TRANSFER COMPANY
DO NOT USE THEM. This company is so useless I can’t explain. I used them more than 1s to send money to Ghana. Almost every time, they encounter problems with ‘their payment partner . The annoying thing is that because they want to earn their commission at all cost regardless of the sender’s predicament, they will tell you that they cannot reverse the transaction therefore you have to wait till whenever they are able to resolve it. Mean while other companies like LemFi are able to reverse transactions within 24 hours if not delivered. I will strongly advise anyone NOT to use them. All the other companies have phone numbers you can contact except this particular NALA. It’s not as if their rate is also the best.

Boycott Nala
Nala will be extremely useful at first only to mess up with you later, I was warned with the app but I ignored it. I need to send money to my mom urgently with my last penny, I have been messaging without response. But they can send you messages for review. Kindly refund my money no jokes

No second level transfer check hence Erroneous transaction
I made an erroneous transfer because there was no second level transfer check. But one will expect that when a wrong account name and number is imputed it should show a mismatch but it didn’t instead it sent the funds to a wrong account without a second level check.
I’ll advise that you create a second level check on the app if a transaction is been consummated.
But asides that, the app is okay and transparent

If you do not want to be frustrated, do not use this app! They debit you and steal your money. Transfer transactions never goes through. They debit you and they never credit the recipient. They are thieves!

I made a transfer of £69 to Nigeria via the Nala app on the 14th of September 2023 to my access account. I have since not Received the money in my naira account. I have had a chat with your agents and I keep being told give give time. I requested a reversal of my £69 pounds but Nala says it will take months. Please help me ask them why? Why put your customers through this emotional trauma? I am indeed unhappy and frustrated by your service at this point.

Nala took the money from my back but it never appeared in my Nala account, it just says pending, every-time I ask support for my money I given an excuse and “please let me check and get back to you” but still no money. Just avoid it.

This has to be the worst app ever. The team were so slow in getting back to me. In the app every time you speak to a team member they say they will get back to you and never do.
After two month I hear nothing back only for them to send me an email saying;
“We're sorry to inform you that we've made the decision to close your account. This is due to the fact that your account no longer meets our strategic business objective.”

NALA was recommended to me by my sister. Before then, I was struggling with sending money to my relatives and friends in Uganda. Other apps’ exchange rates were so bad and it used to be a hustle for money to get to the recipients. With NALA I have no regrets, their rates are so good and the service efficient. My only regret is, what took me so long to find NALA ?! I would not have lost a lot of money through bogus exchange rates. I deleted my other remittance apps
I found that other remittance apps were confusing to set up and use. However, Nala Money is speedy in both set up and transactions. Great for those who are time poor and need an easy app to send money. Wonderful that it also saves transactions to .xls files which makes personal accounting easier
