Had the app for one day and advice has already been very helpful
I downloaded this after following a puppy schedule posted on the zigzag website. Since it was so useful I downloaded the app and signed up to the free trial. The puppy coach got back right away with extremely helpful advice as soon as I signed up and asked a question. The lesson on “down” got my puppy to learn to lie down when I had been struggling to teach this command using my memory from teaching puppies years ago. It’s also helped a lot to make our awake time much more productive using controlled play without hand biting and better training advice for the basics like toilet training. I’ve always been skeptical about puppy training apps advertised online but this seems like a great deal for the amount it costs.

Zigzag is a great app providing structure to puppy training while still having the flexibility to fit around daily life. The coach facility has been invaluable- fast responses to all of my questions. I really rate this app highly - there is so much information out there on the internet some good but some bad. Zigzag advocates a non-coercive approach which is fun and, with patience, it works!

There is so much help and advice and it is so easy to contact the experts who answer all questions within minutes. Untimely
At first I was very impressed but gradually got disenchanted due to the untimely nature of many of the units.
I found that time and time again a module would pop up and my reaction was one “and you tell me this now, three weeks earlier would have been useful”.
I do t have an issue with the content. Just shuffle the pack so that it pops up for people in a more logical manner.

Meg training
It has been brilliant having the help of professionals to work through Megs training. I have had 3 border collies and got on really well training them but Meg is totally different she’s border collie/ springer spaniel. Sprollie.
She tends to be really easily distracted, she gets a smell and she’s off. I’ll get there eventually. When she’s in the mood she learns quickly. Thanks for all your help. 🐾

This app came up as an ad as I have recently gotten a puppy and thought I’d try it out. I had the free trial and I’ve now paid for a years subscription because this app has been so useful. The chat feature where you can talk to your puppy coach is brilliant, and Emma has given me great advice and is just a really lovely person. I had a poo trauma situation with my pup and she helped me resolve it, calmed me down, and gave me a laugh! We had a laugh and a lovely convo.
Absolutely recommend this app and I am advising all my friends that own dogs to get it, even if just for the puppy coach feature! Honestly fab. Shoutout to Emma :)

Great training app
I’m finding this to be a very useful app whilst training my new puppy. The steps are broken down into stages to make it easier to train. I also really enjoy the articles within the app too - which give me a little more understanding of where my pup is at in his development. Definitely recommend to any new dog owner 5⭐️

Life saviours
I never write reviews but this app and its coaches are just amazing!! I was really lost when I got my toy poodle puppy and they’ve been incredibly helpful and supportive and all their lessons and tips have managed to teach me how to understand my little Coffee and get her to be house trained without damaging our relationship in any way. All the coaches are lovely and they reply straight away when you message them. Just the best, highly recommended 🧡🧡

Zigzag has been invaluable to me since getting my pup
I can’t recommend this app more. The daily lessons are written in clear, simple steps with little videos to support - very easy to understand. I like that you get to rate how your pup has done on each activity and if a 3 or less they get listed in a ‘practice’ section on your today screen. That way you don’t forget the things you need to do a bit more work on, which I am very prone to do 😅
In addition to this, I have been SO impressed that there are real human beings (puppy coaches) to talk to 24 a day! How amazing is that! I have already spoken to them 3 times and I have only had puppy home for a week. They have been so helpful, supportive, kind and knowledgeable. It really is incredibly reassuring to be able ask someone for advice about anything you need to… rather than having to search the internet / you tube for hours on end, not knowing if what you are being told is good advice or not.

Lacking In Detail
Much as I loved the idea of the app I have found it rather lacking in detail. The app takes the approach of drip feeding tips and lessons, layering on the detail, but this assumes that puppies learn at the same speed, which they don’t. If I want to learn about toilet training / crate training, for example, I have to go through lots of bite sized lessons that are light in detail, repetitive and not really providing tips for me to get a grip and deeper understanding of what to do, how the puppy is thinking and why he may be doing what he’s doing. I personally find this frustrating and have ended up googling topics to find more useful, succinct and informative data to help me train my puppy.
As any new puppy parent will tell you, we need answers quick as we don’t have the time to go through repetitive, time intensive lessons to find a useful answer. I have literally spent 30 mins trying to find an answer, went through 5 lessons and still was none the wiser. I’m tired and have to fit this in before he wakes up again. Not useful I’m afraid.
I wish I hadn’t signed up to it now as it wasn’t cheap and I’m using google more effectively than the app.
Clearly this is just my POV and experience, it clearly doesn’t resonate with my learning preference and time available.

This is a great app. Firstly the design, look and usability of it is great.
The content is great. Genuinely straight forward and gives you a great menu of things to work on in a straight forward way with videos and the ability to track your pups progress.
You also have access to the trainers all the time via the app and that’s been great when you just have little questions or worries and just want to ask if something is normal.
The Facebook group is also such a supportive community and just great for any support you need about how you feel or things that did and didn’t work for other people.
For the price, this is definitely worth it.

Great app, terribly annoying music
App is great, tips really simple to follow and a nice UX. However, the background Muzak on all the videos is infuriating. I’m watching them multiple times to see them and would much rather hear the people and dogs in the clips than the same awful music again and again.
Please - can you ditch the music on the clips or let me mute them in the settings somewhere!?

This is one of the best apps I’ve ever experienced, even as a second puppy owner (but my last was over 10 years ago).
The helpful content, classes and tailored advice about everything from puppy proofing your home, sleep and taking your first steps outside to training and everything in between - this is a great all in one solution worth every penny. It’s all designed and presented in such a great way, I love the app and how it looks and feels.
The on demand puppy coaches you can message also are incredible and really take the service to the next level. They’re so friendly, knowledgeable and understanding of the stresses you’re facing as a new puppy owner. They even provide links and downloads backing up their advice!!! Their expertise alone would be worth the annual price.

Really buggy and training declines after a few weeks
This looked like a really useful app during the free trial but the quality and quantity of training really declines after the first month.
There are also a number of frustrating bugs in the app which were never fixed despite raising with the tech team at Zigzag. It’s an app with good potential but the quality doesn’t meet the price point at all

I downloaded this app on arrival of my 8 week old boxer pup. I'd grown up with boxers but hadn't had experience of their puppyhood for 15+ years. Some of the classes we mastered straight away. It was easy to follow, and would be ideal for first time dog owners. We still continue to use the food calculator as the bags of food can give such a wide range. The only way we feel the app could improve would be slightly more content for free. Like from a different module- like learning recall or something. Other than that, easy you use, interactive and lots of helpful info 🤗

ZigZag helped us enjoy the puppy phase
I appreciated only a couple of apps and teams like I appreciated ZigZag. I knew raising a well behaved puppy was going to be challenging but I never knew how much support I’d need! I downloaded ZigZag when I was confused and needed a schedule for training our puppy Bowie. Not only ZigZag made gave us a good a schedule with great tips and lessons but it also made it far more enjoyable! Knowing I can reach out to a real person and ask all my silly questions anytime through WhatsApp and having access to community of other puppy pawrents make the whole difference!

Brilliant app!
I downloaded and started using this app when I got my 10 week old cocker spaniel. I was a bit lost as to what to do in all honesty so when i saw Zig Zag I thought I’d give it a go! It’s been so useful in giving me advice and guidance on training Bailey and gives useful reminders to continue training on the things we’ve not quite mastered yet. I’ve also used the online coaches a few times to get instant support from someone who has experience with puppies. It’s provided me with lots of reassurance and let me know I’m not alone. The Facebook group which you get access to also is amazing. I enjoy speaking with other puppy owners and offering any support where I can, and visa versa. Overall it’s a fantastic app which I would highly recommend to any new puppy owner! Five stars!

Fantastic app and service

Game Changer!
This app is helping us settle our puppy into her new home so well! She’s already got some basic commands nailed and managing short periods of time alone/without interaction. The access to the training experts via WhatsApp is brilliant - so responsive and knowledgeable. Layout is great and food calculator is so helpful.
Only thing is it occasionally glitches but will be fine once you close the app and restart it!

Chocolate lab tamer in the making!
Perfect for new puppy owners. Easy steps to teaching pups all aspects of life and getting them on the right track for a peaceful life (well as much as possible with a puppy 😂).
I downloaded it when my chocolate lab was 12 weeks and I wish I had got it sooner to start him off right!
The library and the calculator is what I use most. In particular the calculator to see how much he should be eating and how often, labs will eat forever if they could!

the content is great, the support function is great. but the app itself is full of apps meaning that training practise often can be logged properly and the app has to be killed and reopened and unclear whether progress saved. sometimes random music starts playing. other items ‘complete lesson’ buttons don’t work. no support contact details. not impressed for £40

I downloaded this app as a trial to see if it would help me with my new puppy and even though I haven’t got her just quite yet I’ve been able to learn a lot about my dogs breed and what they require. It gives great tips for when they do arrive home and how to train them. Amazing app for the price plus a weeks free trial! Tailored to your pets breed and age and love that it gives you milestones and reminders. I have a very boisterous miniature pinscher and thought I would need to get a dog trainer in to help but no need now I have found this app! Love that it has a food calculator also so I know how much to feed him by the brand he’s on plus by his weight and age!

Couldn’t fault it. I’ve never had a puppy before so I had zero clue of how to raise and train a puppy at 8 weeks old.
I love the personalisation part and each chapter is detailed & relevant. I like how it starts with the basics so it’s easy to understand & follow.

Okay until you offer someone your own advice
The App and the information started off being really useful even the medical advice and information that was sent to you directly. I found out though if you offer people your own advice, from your experiences or from other sites you’ve seen, the moderators don’t like it and they delete your comments. It was at this point I deleted the app.

Great App with invaluable lessons and responsive WhatsApp service.
We bought an 8 week old working cocker puppy a couple of weeks ago, and along with excitement, were feeling quite daunted by our lacking experience in training. Our formal (in person) training starts at 16 weeks which we felt gave us a good 8 weeks to get things wrong and miss opportunity to work on important parts training such as toilet training, behaviour and recall work.
Anyway, the app has been brilliant. I think it’s great value, giving daily tips and lessons, tailored to your puppy’s age and breed in a really easy to read and digest format.
I have also used the whatsapp service to ask for trainers advice on other things that have come up or i have wanted further advice on and every time have received prompt detailed response.
Couldn’t recommend highly enough for anyone with a puppy.

Fantastic app and amazing support
I downloaded this app two weeks ago in preparation for our puppy coming home. It has been invaluable, with great advice and simple but effective walk-through lessons. Having never had a dog before I felt overwhelmed with the amount of conflicting advice out there, about training schedules, methods etc. even just basic details about a puppy’s life stages and what to expect. This app has been a constant companion and everything I have put into practice from it has been really effective and everything I have read has made me feel more confident. The WhatsApp support is also amazing; I’ve used it several times and have had such comprehensive and positive responses, I really feel like I’m not alone in this minefield of raising a happy and healthy puppy. The app is so easy to use and the interface is brilliant, I honestly can’t praise it enough and it is totally worth the money I paid for complete access.

I can’t recommend this app highly enough. It has been an invaluable resource to us these past few months. Everything is broken down into small lessons, everything you need to know about owning and raising a puppy is on here. If there’s something you aren’t sure of or anything you need more individualized help with, you can contact their experts. I use the WhatsApp option, the response time is so quick, I’ve never waited any longer than 30 mins for an answer. And the answers are from real people, not a bot. And you can tell by the detail in the answers and advice they give that they actually care about your puppy and want to give you the absolute best chance of resolving whatever issue you are having. There is also a private fb group which has again been invaluable. Best app/service I’ve used and in my opinion it’s excellent value for money.

Amazing app for anyone with a new puppy
This app has been superb. I love the short video clips to show some of the lessons and getting them daily is a real bonus.
The ability to not only be part of the zig zag Facebook community but also be able to reach out to the coaches at any time has also proved invaluable for us and they are really quick to respond to help you with the problem.
Everyone new dog owner should get this app.

Amazing service
This app is so fantastic. Specifically the support that you get with the paid service. They are so quick to reply with very thorough responses. They are so kind and helpful. It’s like having a personal dog trainer that you can ask anything to at the palm of your hand. Can’t recommend this app enough:)

Wonderful app
I was given a 7 month old cocker spaniel who came with an abusive background. He was terrified of everything and everyone. I wasn’t sure how I was going to train him. Then I found this app it’s amazing. He’s come along so much in just a week. Not only that but my older dog has benefited from the training and also refreshed some of the habits we formed over the last few years. All around brilliant app. Must have for every puppy owner

Excellent app for puppy problems
This is a great app with puppy training tips from even before pup comes home. I feel like there is always someone there if ever they are needed… my main problem has been biting, I received a response almost immediately even though it was around 10pm and it provides me with a feeling of security knowing someone can help me if I am ever feeling desperate.

Such a great app!
I’ve recently got a puppy and this app is just brilliant. I love that it breaks everything down into simple bitesize lessons and tells you what to train and when so you don’t have to create your own schedule. I recently reached out to ask for some advice from the trainers via WhatsApp and they were so lovely. Really down to earth, super helpful and clearly knew their stuff! Helped with some toilet training issues I was having so will 100% be using them again! Thanks Zig Zag 🙌🏼

Help when needed
We were having trouble with our puppy barking early in the morning and generally being a nuisance to the neighbours. I asked for some advice and very quickly got some really good tips which have helped to solve our problem.
I’m finding this app really useful, and we’re working our way through the training.

Very intuitive interface with a lot of fantastic content
Downloaded the app ahead of getting our first puppy. I downloaded this app along with some others, as well as a LOT of googling, in order to prepare as much as possible before we take the puppy home.
Not had a chance to try the training sessions as the puppy is not with us yet, but the content so far has been absolutely amazing in preparation - the interface is extremely intuitive and I like the structure of the programme, which focuses on working through lessons in “order” and doing 3 lessons per day, but still allows you to read ahead as much as you want and to explore specific topics whenever you want to.
Will definitely be using the app as we continue to prepare, and when we get our puppy home and start training her.

Fantastic App!
As a first time dog owner I needed all the help I could get! I downloaded this when my dog was 9 weeks old and he’s just turned 21 weeks - I owe all his good traits to this app. He is well socialised, confident and above all happy - the WhatsApp feature is great, and the team give fantastic advice. I would highly recommend, such a good idea

I downloaded this app whilst trying out different apps and none came anywhere near close to the level of support I received with ZigZag! The WhatsApp service has been a godsend with our new puppy and I can’t even imagine having survived the first few days without it! If you want a stress free puppy experience, get this downloaded ! Worth every single penny!

Absolute life saver!!
I downloaded zigzag after picking up our Great Dane puppy and it’s been a LIFE SAVER! The app itself is really easy to use and has fun training tasks to do every day (or whenever you can). They instructions are easy to follow and have tips for if things aren’t quite going to plan. There’s a mix of ‘core’ training tasks (sit, stay, come etc) but there’s also more fun tricks if you’d like to go beyond this. Love how there’s also practical training for things such as preparing for firework displays during October (in time for November the 5th).
There’s also functionality to message training experts which is a game changer too! Within a short period of time, I have received responses which are thorough and tailored to my training query.
Will recommend to every dog owner/carer I come across!!

Fantastic- an Invaluable Resource
This is a brilliant app. Full of loads of great info. Arranged so that you can properly plan for your pup’s arrival and then work through stages once they are with you. There is so much and variable info on dog training around now but this really is brilliant. And no, I don’t know them personally and I am not being paid!!! I got the recommendation from a breed / type specific Facebook group. You personalise the app to your dog type so the training suits what your dog is bred to do. It’s really great.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE WITH A NEW PUP
Honestly, there is just so much information on this app and it takes you through step by step in so much detail. I can’t tell you what a help it has been. And then on top of that, one evening I was getting a bit despondent and I saw that you could use WhatsApp as well. I tried this thinking I might get a generic reply the following day but I got one very quickly giving me lots of information and best of all encouragement, saying my puppy had the puppy “zoomies” and that it was very normal, he would grow out of it and gave tips on how to deal with it. I felt so much better. Absolutely brilliant!!!

Excellent App for Puppy Owners
I downloaded this App after navigating many websites looking for information on how to raise my puppy and after reading 2 books. I felt overwhelmed by the amount of information out there but this App is very clear and takes things in stages. The lessons everyday are easy and fun to follow and even go back over things my puppy wasn’t getting first time. I have also used the App to chat with one of the trainers Susan about an issue I was having and she was very patient, gave lots of great tips and guided me through what I needed to do. This App is highly recommended and definitely worth the money for the amount of guidance, information, training tips and support that you get from it.

God send
As a brand new pet parent I’ve been on a roller coaster already of highs and lows and after endless scrolling of the internet on how to potty train, I found Zig Zag. To be able to message a real live person and get an immediate response to questions about my specific and unique puppy has been a blessing and relief. What an AWESOME service! I can’t wait to do all the daily mini courses to make sure my pet is getting the best of me. I am happy beyond compare to have the support I need to navigate this exciting and challenging time!

Every new dog owner needs this app!
I wish I knew about this app in my first week of getting my puppy!
Premium is so worth it compared to all the other things we have, it really is money well spent. I speak to the experts everyday almost and bombard them with questions but they’re all so kind, helpful and reassuring with their responses. That has to be the best feature without taking anything away from the lessons and trainings they have.
I rarely leave any reviews on apps and never buy anything premium as I’ve always been disappointed but thank god this app exists and thank you to the trainers so so much!!

Great Service
I have a 10 week old puppy and this app has been such a great help, even when I had an ad-hoc question, they were so helpful and gave some really great advice.
My puppy is doing so well at such a young age so hopefully things keep going the way they are which I am sure they will with this app to hand!!

Absolute godsend to a new puppy parent
I don’t think I’d have survived the last two weeks with my sanity intact if it hadn’t been for this app. We have a (now) 10 week old Alaskan Malamute pup who has gone from wild and unsettled to happy and contented all thanks to the help of the daily trainings and specialist advice from trainers that is offered through the Zigzag app. Loads of the content is free to access and you don’t need to purchase anything to still benefit from the amazing content. Given the experience I’ve had in these first two weeks however I’ve upgraded to unlock all content and features. The pricing for this is very reasonable IMO, especially when you consider the cost of in person dog training. I also like it that, with the app, I’ve got support on hand pretty much 24/7 and you definitely don’t get that with a conventional puppy training class🙂

This app is great!
I am a fresh owner of a little chihuahua puppy and I was scrolling the internet to use help for training and making him well behaved.
I found this app accidentally and it I am honest I was sceptical that anything would be for free. However I can tell you they are so amazing, so helpful and everything is for free!!!
I am strictly following advice and will update this review in a few weeks time!

Really engaging, bite-size training sessions! Brilliant!
Aside from the fact that this app grabbed my attention straight away for being such a fun, interactive, personalised, humorous tool - it’s been fantastic to have daily sessions with my new Springer pup. He’s responding so well and I feel like my puppy training plan has proper structure for the first time. Great tips, too! Normally notifications drive me a little mad but I love seeing Zigzag pop up with daily reminders for Bruce. Thanks Zigzag!

Truly amazing
This app is a must-have for anyone planning to train a puppy or even older dog!
I would say this app is essentially training for me to enable me to train my pup. You will learn skills that you will use again and again with your furry friend, and its not all work and no play either, it is fun too!
You also have access to experts, i have found this invaluable!

Amazing dog training app
This is the first time I ever write review for anything. I just want to acknowledge my gratitude for the support I have received from the expert trainers by sharing my experiences. Being a first time puppy owner, it’s extremely anxiety provoking. Having easy accessible WhatsApp support to an expert has been amazing. It helps us manage the challenges we have faced with our new pup and when we have a down day, the encouragement from the experts keeps us going. The training lessons on the app are helpful to keep us on track. There are also so many articles we can access when we are not sure about certain issues related to our pup. The app and support have kept us motivated and also given us the best tool to make sure our pup and my family have the best start of our journey together. I strongly recommend this app.

Fantastic App - Must get for puppy training
I have been using the app for the last 7 weeks and have found this to be an excellent source of learning.
The lessons are fun for me and my puppy, as well as being able to follow her learning journey, and read useful articles.
I have also been really impressed with the what’s app support feature. I have used this several times where I have needed some extra information and the response has been great as well as feel very personal.
I really recommend this for any puppy owners or potential owners.

This app has been amazing, the first weeks of having my puppy and settling him in alongside my older dog were overwhelming. The bite sized training really helped to keep us on track. Fab app for first time owners
We downloaded the Zigzag app as we are first time puppy owners and wanted a step by step guide to take us through the first few weeks. The lessons and advice have been so helpful in helping us to plan our days and understand what to expect from our puppy, whilst also managing expectations and stopping us from rushing ahead/overwhelming her. The team are constantly looking to improve the app so I’m excited to continue following it as she grows. Great value for money.

Day 1 with our new Pup
Day 1 with our new Cockerpoo and already Zig Zag is helping us to identify our Pup’s behaviours and what he needs from us! Because it’s “Live” and the information provided is specific to the age and breed of your Puppy you can use it quickly, right there and then, on the go. It’s so simple, just great, I’d highly recommend Zig Zag! Well worth giving it a try!
