I paid Veygo for learner driver’s insurance £145.16 for a month, after a week the car insured broke down and I had to change the insurance policy to a different car, Veygo doesn’t allow you to change the car in your policy and makes you cancel your policy and start a new one. When I cancelled, after a week the refunded me £59 out of £145.16 JUST AFTER A WEEK. And after sending several emails, they tried to force their refund policy/calculations as CORRECT? Saying that’s how the calculate refund?? Go for any insurance but Veygo, their no hidden fees or full refund policy is a lie.

Bad app decides itself when you can get insurance one day it will give me it the next day it will say can’t insure you this has happened so many times this app is jst not it so many bugs mistakes and issues I hope they can fix this problem because I was glad with the app until it wants to pick and choose when I can get insurance either I can get it or not don’t make it so one day you can do it but if you need it on an other day it has a chance of saying you can’t be insured on this vehicle so how did I get it the first time if I’m not able to be insured

Flexible and convenient
It can be a pain, finding a good car insurance quote. It seems very difficult to get short term car insurance. However, with Veygo it was so easy to do. My situation has changed so I extended twice. It was so easy to extend and it was good value. All done with the app so no waiting around in phone queues, no having to repeat my details, just efficient.

Avoid! Use cuvva instead.
I contacted Veygo customer service and explained that I needed help and I was stuck, just bought a car and couldn’t drive it away as the new reg of the car wasn’t updated on their system.
On response they misread or even failed to read what I said, they made numerous failed communications, I told them I needed the matter to be resolved ASAP, which even up until the next day they failed to do.
All within this time Cuvva got it done within a hour of me contacting them.
Don’t ever use this service, go for cuvva if u value customer service and response time.
Even a day later with Veygo the problem wasn’t resolved, an apology wasn’t given and they gave me the wrong advise, they told me to look for a quote under the OLD REG even though the rights to use the old Reg have been given up months ago. Absolute joke of a system. AVOID & USE CUVVA OR SOMEONE ELSE.

As a 18 year old I tried Cuvva first but that said it only provides 19+ but this one gave me quotes straight away at very reasonable prices, way better than other competitors.

Me personally I think the quotes are ok the priceyer side. But this is the only place I could find temporary insurance for me as a newly passed 18 year old.
It also helped me get it hours of experience under a provisional lisence allowing me to pass first time.

Genuinely so valuable
Insurance is well priced, I got a whole month on my mums large car for just £67 a month, bear in mind lessons are £40 an hour so I can get many many hours of experience with this learner insurance for way cheaper. I genuinely think I wouldn’t have passed without the constant practice in my mums car. I recommend this app to all my friends whenever they talk about learning to drive

One problem
After you choose the hours, you get the estimated price. When you click next, sometimes you get a bigger price. I don’t like that. If you don’t notice you end up spending more. I know, I KNOW it depends on personal information, as the price increases (or may decrease maybe) on top of the default price, but it would be nice to have instant pricing.

Useless App
The app hasn’t been developed very well. Any time I try enter a car registration it says invalid and won’t recognise, and I’ve tried plenty of different registrations. I’ve also tried reinstalling the app, clearing cache, restarting my phone, logging in and out yet it hasn’t solved the issue. I can’t get temporary insurance due to this. Will probably find another alternative that actually works.

Have to occasionally drive other people’s cars, super reasonable prices and easy to book with no hassle or unreasonable restrictions. Admittedly haven’t had to file a claim whilst on this but I can assume that it’s the normal Admiral level of quality. So your mileage may vary

Crashes on launch
I otherwise like this app and I found it really useful in the past but today when I run it crashes, I uninstall and reinstall and it still crashes. My daughter installed on her iPhone and had the same thing happens, so we had to use the website to order cover.

I was in a crash in September 2022 that was about two 3 years ago now and ever since I’ve not been able to get temporary insurance from them again the crash was not even my fault and they have probably blacklisted me if you’re going to use this company would recommend not going through the claims, if you want to use it again because this is the only place that gives cheap temporary insurance prices

Don’t get why this useless app advertises cheep temporary insurance when it will not give quotes for any cars, when I ask the help AI it simply says it’s down to the individual or the car. Old app was better, new one is very glitchy and shuts down every time I try to review ALL TRIPS. Very annoying. Not to mention the very strict upgrades that all of a sudden penalise my safe driving for very trivial and ambiguous numbers. Come on Veygo, I love my insurance and how it works but now am scared to drive for fear of very excessive standards being imposed. I am a safe and attentive driver, this is worrying for me

Amazing app!
I have been using this app for almost 2 years, since before i passed my driving test! I had my learner insurance with veygo and now the app helps me when i can’t find a suitable quote! I have not had the best luck with cars and unfortunately have had to change, i’m already on my 3rd after only a year and a couple months of driving but veygo never let me down! I have had veygo insurance on every single vehicle i have owned!

Has been great until “Road Closed”
So I have been using Veygo for a couple of months now and everything has been going great, until 3 days ago. Whenever i try to get a new quote on the same car it refuses to give me a quote as it says “Road Closed” which I am confused about because this never happens and not really sure why it would happen. I contacted support but unfortunately they couldn’t provide the exact/specific reason as to why this is happening, i hope it will be fixed soon.

Can’t insure past 10pm
The app used to be good but now they’ve done it so you cannot get insurance between 10pm and 5am. I get it but at the same time when I’m the sober driver on a night out I have no way of being insured. I couldn’t even get insurance from 9pm because of the 1 hour rule even though my destination was 30 mins away. Admiral, please re-think this policy; it’s so inconvenient.

Best insurance app
Veygo has been a lifesaver for me over last few months. I had a couple of job interviews to go to and Veygo helped me with the insurance on a family members car. I don’t know what I would do without Veygo. I can’t honestly think of a better app than Veygo. Veygo is reliable and you can be on the road in minutes with reasonable prices.

Veygo better than their app
For great deals on learner insurance you can’t do better than Veygo in my opinion. Very good for unlimited repeat cover. I thought using the app would be a convenient step forward but it simply doesn’t load. Managed to open it once from AppStore but that was it. It just freezes at every attempt.

Not user friendly, Can’t use it as it says my name is not matching with my driving license so I can’t go ahead with the claim, but all details I entered are 200% correct. After a few days I went to try again but with each step a message comes up that something went wrong with the app and then I have to start again, after a week i ended up giving up and deleting it, luckily I couldn’t go ahead and losing money too.

Ok app for when you want to insure a young driver only when they need the car.
However, although the app stores the car details, you have to enter the owner details every single time (why does it not keep them with the car details??? It doesn’t change every week!) Likewise for payment details.

The insurance concept is great but the app is not user friendly. Was on the verge of paying for a quote but went back to change the period of insurance and now am stuck in some Kafkaesque loop where the app has deleted the phone details I had entered, tells me that I can’t proceed with a new quote because some of my details are missing but won’t let me edit them to put the phone number back! 😖

Only one that insured me
FANTASTIC APP. I downloaded all 4 of the leading temp cover apps and as a new driver of only 8 months, 2 wouldn’t insure me at all the other was 400+ a month but Veygo turned out to be cheaper than a proper 12 month policy. So I will remain to do a monthly pay and I go subscription until my first year is up and more than likely go direct to Admiral for my next yearly premium.

Handy to pay for just the time I need when teaching my son and his test, rather than pay for a whole year or even monthly when he wont be driving much. 4 hours per week is convenient for my needs ahead of test.

Not providing me with insurance
I had my learner insurance bought from Veygo for my driving test, fast an easy to buy!
Only thing is that they do not provide me with a temporary insurance now that I hold a full UK license and I do not understand why. I want to insure the exact same car that I insured for my learner insurance.

Apple Pay
I like the Veygo idea but was really frustrated that I used Apple Pay four times to purchase cover for my son and the system approved the payment but the app did not move on to complete the purchase so I had to use a credit card and fill in all the details. Great product. Just a disappointing hitch with the app.

Strange company
Got my quote was about to pay, went off the website quick to check my card details on my phone so I could type them in as didn’t have my card on me at the time. Went back on the website for them to chuck me back to the start to complete all of the questions again and now not being able to give a policy at all?
AND HAVING THE AUDACITY to send me multiple emails asking if I still want the policy and then not give it to me
Appalling as really needed it, can’t get in contact with them for assistance either

‘Road closed’
Not going to lie, the apps amazing! Been using it since September and it’s very easy to use and nothing too complicated.
My only problem is that all of a sudden it’s refusing to give me a new quote, I select on how long I want to be insured for and it gives me a price but as soon as I click continue after putting in the main insurance company it says ‘road closed’
I’m struggling with assistance and It’s such a shame because everything’s been great until this point🙄

Got blocked
Tried to make a claim but they didn’t help me at all no one opened the phone or replied, on top of that my account got blocked i cannot proceed to checkout with any of my vehicles, just a little advice if you are a person to make a claim after a crash this is not the app. Plus they spoilt my NCB but also didn't help. Just sad that this happened because this company works with Admiral.

App difficult to use & amendments not allowed
The app seemed easy to use at first but basically once your policy is setup you cannot make any amendments to it. You have to cancel it if you have made errors eg start time setup wrongly and are then expecting a refund and you have to put in details again and get charged a second time.
The timings were wrong a second time am instead of pm although I used a 24 hour clock to set them. They took my money a second time but the policy documents did not come through because the policy was essentially in the past.
So I paid twice to not have a policy in place.
I got stopped by the Police and had a very uncomfortable conversation and showed that I had tried to buy insurance but effectively drove without any. Even though I paid for it twice.
Be wary about this and double check everything before you pay. I’m still trying to get refunded.
