The app is not loading. Both me and my friend’s phone app didn’t respond/load.

Unable to log on - rectified right away
I’ve reinstalled the app twice but I cannot log in.
UPDATE: They fixed the problem right away. App is actually very easy to use.

Logs me out what I try to make a claim
Keeps logging me out when I start to make a claim. I had to do it via the website in the end. This has happened a few times, so basically I can’t use that app for what I need.

Seriously considering cancelling my plan as app is appalling
This app is not fit for purpose. Simply Health and their developer need to get a grip or suffer losing customers. Update 10/5/23 has just made it totally unworkable!.

Making a claim
When making a claim through the app, you insert the claimant and the app just closes, this is so frustrating.
Please fix this issue.

Rubbish app.
My relationship with SH has gone belly up since having to use this app. First time I used it I made a mistake, but there is no facility for editing or deleting anything, and an entry of £27.50 showed up as £277.50. Endless stupid encrypted emails and intransigent customer services later, I’m about to part company with them. Still feel they owe me £200 and no one can be bothered to explain why not.

This app was really handy to send in claims.
However now crashes every time I try to put a claimants name in.
The app is now as useful a an ashtray on a motorbike.

App & website crashes
Same issue as previous reviews. App used to work but now crashes on claimant name. Website freezes on Treatment type with drop-down option not expanding. Tried on Safari, Edge and Chrome browser. Called Customer Services who have raised a ticket with IT but previous reviews show this is ongoing issue. Only resolution offered is to email claim in. Please fix this!

Worst app I’ve ever used
I had to resort to using this app as using my iPad I was unable to upload my photo of my receipt, no matter what I tried. This is too small for my iPad, can’t use it on my phone as I don’t have iOS 13 on it. You’ve just made it so much more difficult than it was before.

Fault
When I try to enter claim details the app crashes every time I get to the point where I'm entering the claimant. I called Simply Health who just advised me to keep trying. Pretty useless.

Used to work - now broken
Tried to submit a claim via the App for the last two days, but every time I try to select claimant, the App simply crashes.
You say you’re going digital only for claims, but then you don’t have the tech to back it up. Looking back at reviews, this has been a known issue for well over a month. Not good enough that you’ve not fixed it yet. Especially when the App has previously worked well with no issues at all. Please fix it.

When making a claim it stashes every time you choose the claimant. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same.
Have to use the website now to claim and then the claims don’t show in the app.

Crashes when submitting a claim.
Like other reports, it is no longer possible to submit a claim, crashes as soon as select claimant is clicked, happens on multiple iOS and iPadOS devices so not a one off. Works from the website but always fails via the app.

Suddenly and repeatedly crashed out of claims process
It worked fine for several claims. Then a couple of days ago the app started crashing as I tried to select the claimant. Repeated over at least five days now. Frustrating!
I received a response today, two weeks after the posting above, from "Esther" saying she hoped it works now. It Doesn't! Still the same issue. I have reported it again despite getting no response yet to my previous report (about 10 working days ago!).
Hence downgrade to one star now.

Clunky badly developed app - terrible experience.
I have been told I HAVE to sign up to the app/online service to use simply health. Once the app downloaded none of the steps worked to register. It was overall a terrible experience and have given up. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Worst app I’ve ever had
Will not let me log on. Tried ringing 3 days in a row but left on hold for ages so gave up. Did live chat but couldn’t sort it at the time so chose to use contact by email. This still hasn’t been resolved 10 days later. Been a member for years, but customer service is now very poor.

Keep asking me to check my emails - even though I already have been verified, when trying to login it’s keep asking my name and date of birth and then just freezes.
Managed to login once a few months ago and thats it… And even that was so much effort with it keep freezing

Failed from the get go
Tried to register. As instructed, gave my email address for a link to be sent to validate registration. Email never arrived (yes, I checked in my junk email box too). Tried three times but no use. Great start!

Looks good initially, has useful historic info but just keeps freezing , I’m having to redo claims over and over. Have deleted and reinstalled but no better. Am spending hours on what would take minutes with a paper form.

Terrible
Terrible user experience. Tried to register and app didn’t work. Called them and after waiting 20 mins told need to register on website first. Tried that with all correct details they held on database still didn’t work. Great contact centre agent but awful login experience. They have raised with IT as still can’t login in app or online.

Hide and seek app
To make a claim for day admission a form is required for the hospital to endorse. How simply planned it would be to download said form. But no. ‘We don’t have that facility’. In this day and age? Really? You either have to fill in an online request (done that, no form yet) or when you phone in there is no human just a message to leave a voicemail asking for the form to be sent. (Done that as well, still nothing) Btw, there is no clear signposting stating you need a form and where to find it, or if the hospital actually provide it. Like my old school report used to say - Could do better.
Edit: I received a response saying Simply Plan are no longer sending out forms and the hospital discharge should be uploaded.
1) This information should be on the app site. Perhaps it is and I missed it.
2) Try getting a discharge form from a busy hospital. We said we needed one to claim on a plan and they said we hadn’t been charged for anything so what’s to claim back? Got one … eventually.
Updated to 3 as I at least got a response.

A lot left to be desired
The app is good one negative thing I have to say about this app, is when you log in with finger print ID. Every few months it ask me to put in my password, this is the reason why I use finger print ID. ( as I don’t have to remember every single password) I don’t have this issue with any other app, just simply health app. I raised this issue with them, which they couldn’t resolve not even the department that’s responsible for this issues. Which is shocking, when you reset your password. You have to wait after 24 hours to login otherwise the system doesn’t recognise you hand updated your password. Not all the time that works, so I have to contact them for them to remove my details so I can re-register all over again. ( which is annoying) I was even ask if using a different browser and deleting cookies ( which I do on a day to day basis which is standard) Apparently any issues around the password isn’t to do with them but is to do with Australia as their responsible with regards to resetting the password so I was told by member of staff. This took me over a week to gain access to the app. It was when the staff simply removed my details I had to register. If you can fix this aspect of the app would be great and train staff on this aspect too or technical dept. That would be wonderful. I have tried all the steps and I go through this every three months hence why I left a review. So basically you don’t know how to fix this issue?

Spinning heads
Should be good after a while I quite liked it.but I’ve been finding harder and harder to log in with the app just spinning around ,but yes the process when it works is good..but I been trying to log in for an hour on and off..of course it might not be down to SimplyPlan app ..so I will give it 3 !! Update is working perfectly now superb..

This app does not work at all. It does not login at all and don’t give any error messages if login details are incorrect.
I can login on the Simply Health website using same details as I am using on the app.
Facing this issue for a while.

Very Poor
Won’t open documents etc tells me one minute the browser doesn’t support it try another. Then opens in same browser.
Tells me that pop ups are blocking it even though they are off
Tells me to update the App when I am already on the most up to date version.
Won’t let me log in most times telling me that my details are wrong, even though I have activated Face ID with my correct details.
Really disappointed in this App.

23/8/22 I downloaded this app on 15th August 2022 and to date I’ve been totally unable to get into it. It will not accept the user name nor password. My husband and I are on a joint policy and I need to make a claim. I’m really unhappy that you’ve changed the system that previously worked so well at Simply Health. I last made a claim earlier this year without any issues before it became necessary to claim via this app. The only reason the app has one star is because it won’t allow me to post without giving a star rating.

Doesn’t accurately reflect up to date account information. Claims submitted in the app can take several days before appearing in the account, resulted in me having several claims having two entries. Better sync between app
and account required.

Doesn’t work!
Thought I would install this app to make life easier but can’t even log in. When using the same log in details as I use on the website it say it’s wrong. Logged into the website and it works there! Thought I’d change my password just in case but after entering the provided user code and changing the password and trying to click the login link absolutely nothing happens. Waste of time!

What happened to the simplyhealth app?
Had to update my simplyhealth app and it turned into simply consult. Why? I don’t need to use the GP service’s or make a physio appointment. I have my own GP and physio and just need to claim health costs back. Why did I then need to download a different simply health app to try to simplify claim management, only once more to have GP services and physio appointment services pushed at me? Confused and somewhat annoyed!
