Loving my Meta AI glasses!
I’m really enjoying the functionality of this mega enjoyable piece of technology! Got the glasses as a Christmas gift. Worked out how to connect them by Bluetooth to my iPad as well as being linked to my iPhone. I’d love it if they would work off my cellular Apple Watch plan, but I’m told that’s not available. Shame, but who knows? Maybe in the future?

Editing an image

Meta Glasses
Over all I’ve been really happy with my glasses, but only if I overlook the fact that I’ve paid the same as other people for my glasses but I haven’t got all the features. I could understand if this was different countries getting different rollouts, but in the same country, I think my glasses should be discounted if I haven’t got the same features as other people, especially with no forecast as to when the upgrade may be available to me.

Got the new AI glasses. Zero instructions other than a QR code. That takes you to an app called vibes. Everything in the vibes app is just scary videos and meme nonsense. Everything online tells me that I need. Something called Meta view. Can’t find that anywhere. Glasses only connect to my phone for music and phone calls. Been trying for two hours to make them work.. this is the most ridiculous consumer item I have ever bought. They are very likely to be going back.

Meta Oakley Vanguard Can’t use Strava or Garmin
Based in the UK and cannot connect Garmin or Strava to my Meta Oakley glasses which is one of the main reasons I bought them. Getting a white screen when trying to connect the appS within Meta AI - Spotify and Audible work fine, the two apps I wanted don’t. Seems a widespread issue.

This app lets you change anything about an image. Except put feminine clothing on anyone who looks too masculine. It’s embarrassing discovering the limitations of this app are around femininity. Fun but !
I’m enjoying this app extra options like video generator and the ai assist but I’m having trouble with deleting some items strangely some can be deleted and others can’t I’ve got four videos that will just not delete! The app has been updated twice now and still nothing also my notifications have stopped displaying i get notifications on my phone but in app it says I’ve got notifications but on the notification tab nothing! Strange but every thing is early access nowadays 😂😂😂🫠

This is rather good, the only issue I had was once Ai helped me make a email more professional, someone distracted me, I didn’t get back to Ai until the next morning, I was gutted to see it had gone, however Ai explained what had occurred, we reconstructed the email and everything was sweet.

The latest app has taken several steps backwards. UK AI requires constant turning off/on to reenable the talking to microphones and messaging listening and reply features have gone backwards even using latest IOS 16 models Works better on 2nd gen SE than Iphone 13 & 16 phones Such a pity

Glasses won’t upload pictures or videos
These was working fine but then I was getting phone calls while recording, I didn’t know at the time the videos would stop and you need to press the capture button again to start a fresh. This lost me all my moments never to get the opportunity again, this was so annoying. Videos should remain recording and only stop if I choose to answer the call, and no call was worth answering as it was the wife just wanting to main at me.
Now I thoughts I’d do a test and put in airplane mode so if I should need to record again without said wife messing up my videos, then I’d just put the phone in that mode, but this is where it al got message up.
Now the glasses fail to connect to wifi, just says searching for glasses then fails.
I have restarted the glasses, deleted the app and started a fresh all in vain.
Now they do eventually auto upload but anyone’s guess when or how, I have auto upload on but you can’t even click upload because this is when it says try and again.
If you click trouble shoot and type in ray bans will not upload, it says check spelling.
No matter what I type in that report page it always says check spelling, £400 these cos and the support is shocking.

It doesn’t work with Meta Ray Ban
It’s incredibly frustrating to have a premium device like your Meta smart glasses not deliver on its core promise, especially after all the troubleshooting you've done.
Despite being located in London, UK, and undergoing multiple troubleshooting steps including a factory reset of my Meta smart glasses, reinstalling the Meta AI app, and seeking in-person assistance at an RB store, the Meta AI app continues to display the message 'Meta AI app features aren’t available in your region yet.' Also whey asked “Hey Meta, who is the king of the UK? It gives answer, “features isn’t available in your region”. AI function is missing the app. This renders the primary AI functionalities of the glasses inaccessible, effectively reducing a premium smart device to the capabilities of standard glasses and causing significant user dissatisfaction.

This app needs lots of work as there are many problems location being one and another big one is when you change the the language to UK it turns the camera settings off and you are not able to turn it back on. Come on Meta get these basic things fixed

Buggy App
At first it allows you to use the AI to snap and give you information regarding what you're looking at but after a short period it starts asking for you to set up permissions which are missing from the app (camera access permission) to be exact. Also no location permissions make it think I'm in Canada and not the UK. Until this is fixed the glasses seem quite pointless apart from easily being able to snap a photo. META please fix your app.

I’m enjoying my new Ray-bans but found an issue with not having location permission prompt stopping AI maximisation. Looks like since moving to new app - IOS users new to meta AI (not having previous app) can’t get location allowances. Please get this fixed. Also it’s a shame that live AI not in UK as yet, same issue for using Shazam it would seem. Hoping these updates don’t take months and months.

The app is falling apart. I cannot turn location services on in my iPhone because the app doesn’t appear there on location services, making this an expensive pair of joke glasses. If this is not fixed soon, the only option is to return these glasses.

Why did I buy?
I bought Meta Wayfarers shortly after the rollout of ‘Look and tell’ in the UK this month. The app version installed is up to date. Still being told this skill is not available in my region. AI chat tells me the same. As someone with sight loss who trusted Meta to get it right, this is very disappointing. Website has nothing on it to explain any processes required to remedy this.

Brought these glasses in Aug 24 and still not got the rollout.
Wish I never brought these.
Few updates since April 10 which claims ai voice but still in dumb mode.
Wish I kept my money in my pocket as it’s just a lottery if you get the update in April 2025.
Also not easy to get hold of meta in the first place, just ask a few shops who have decided not to trade with them is an eye opener in the uk.
Not got time to get legal advice just yet, but it’s probably one thing that’s on my list to do shortly.
So steer clear if you’re a uk buyer for this tech.

No Look and ask, No reminders, no Ai access to camera. No live translation. 6 months ago this would have been a 5 star review, but now all the good features have been restricted in the UK and I am left with an annoying AI that likes to say “I can’t do that on your glasses” or “this feature is not enabled in your region” So disappointing!!!Come on Meta please sort this out so I can get to use my two pairs of glasses to their full potential…

Look and tell me
I purchased the wayfarer raybans and was excited to use all the features (based in the UK) and after a really quick and brief update the glasses were good to go and fully loaded with reminders, celeb voices, meta view AI etc and then this worked well for literally 24hrs. I woke up the next day to my look and tell being non-existent and was deeply disappointed as that’s the feature I enjoyed the most. Please fix this Meta asap as after reading several reviews this seems like it’s a common problem outside of the US. Would have been happy to rate the app 5 stars otherwise but this let it down big time

AI works great in the UK, I can look at something and it will tell me what it is and any further information or summarise text that I am looking at which is an awesome tool to have at hand.

Can you please finally update the software for UK and release AI for the ray-ban glasses. Also please fix the app, 1 min is connected and after it disconnects. Good app, but unsorted import is annoying
Photos and videos aren’t sorted by date and time when exported to camera roll, it’s very annoying, especially if you try to make stories in chronological order. Otherwise pretty much good app.

Feature Failure
On launch the App was feature rich with regards to creating montage style videos. This feature was dropped and it’s missed by the community. Very Very slow to roll out ai features outside the US. At this point who knows if it will even happen.

When I got these they were amazing the app had an option to add text, make little snapshot videos, et etc, after the latest app update they have removed that feature which makes the glasses pretty useless. Funny or coincidence that the new version is now available.

Fantastic app especially with the new glasses but please add a basic editor to trim clips before posting directly from the app. Then it’ll be a 5 starer

Broken meta login, no way to proceed
The app has been a bit painful to use, mainly due to not connecting reliably to the glasses. A few attempts and usually it works in the end (annoying). However a few updates have triggered the need to completely pair the device again and subsequent long and tedoous process when it was working fine. The most recent update to use meta login has now locked me out completely. An unknown e rror message popping up and there is no way to proceed (I have been through every option including setting ap a new account). I have in my email inbox a load of codes sent but there was no window to use them in. Now I cannot use the app at all or get my photos that are stuck on the glasses. Come on guys, if there is an error message - give some options or at least allow a support request. Especially when it is an update forced by you with no benefits for me the poor user. Now I can’t use my hardware when it was working fine before the update you forced. Unacceptable.

Worst app ever
Unfortunately, whilst Ray-Ban Stories sunglasses are amazing, they pair perfectly with iPhone and all features are great. The problem is, the Facebook View App, which is the only way to access recorded photos and videos is AWFUL. 9 times out of 10, it doesn’t connect to the glasses, even when the phone is already Bluetooth connected and working with the glasses. Occasionally, forgetting Bluetooth connection and restarting, solves the problem, but more often than not, it doesn’t - even if this worked every time, it’s a major hassle. As it stands, I can’t view new photos when taken, because it’s too much hassle. At best I’m usually a whole week behind taking them and actually seeing them. It’s about time Ray-Ban, or someone came up with an alternative to accessing recordings, without the need for this TERRIBLE App. I have to say, this App ruins the experience and the great sunglasses.

issues and glitches
This is my second pair of RB Stories. The first one just stopped working after 1 month. It was replaced under a warranty (but don’t expect a smooth customer experience). The second pair worked fine for 10 months, but now the view app cannot download the captures: “an unknown issue is preventing the import from succeeding”. My phone has storage, everything else seems to be normal… quite frustrating considering that I cannot use glasses - their memory is full and I don’t want to loose captures from the new year celebrations. Great idea, but very poor execution.

I would’ve given it 5 stars. If only you could use it with the iwatch to take pictures and videos. Hopefully in the future updates this feature could be added.
