The Skydiving Weather Report makes planning your next jump a breeze. It offers you:
- Visually appealing and easy-to-understand altitude forecasts for cloud cover, wind and temperature up to 12 km (38,600 ft).
- Nowcast with the most important parameters for your jump location
- Weather maps for wind and clouds at all relevant altitudes
SURFING WEATHER REPORT
The Surfing Weather Report provides all the forecasts you need to plan your next surf session at any seashore. This includes:
- Helpful daily and weekly forecasts for wave heights, periods and directions as well as tide forecasts (MSL).
- Nowcast with the most important parameters for your surf spot
- Weather maps for wave heights, periods and directions as well as currents and water temperatures
DAILY LIFE WEATHER FORECAST
Do you bike a lot, are you planning a vacation, or do you just not want to get wet on the way to the restaurant? For all these purposes, the Daily Life Weather Report offers you useful forecasts:
- Current weather with temperature, pictogram and wind forecast
- Hourly forecast for a quick overview of the next few hours
- Weekly meteogram with the most important parameters such as temperature, precipitation, sunshine duration in percent and cloud cover
- Rain radar as well as UV index, temperature, cloud cover and extreme weather maps
FORECASTS FOR ANY POINT ON EARTH
With Sonuby you can predict the weather for any place in the world. With the integrated location search you can find cities and popular landmarks in no time. If this doesn't give you the results you want, you can use map search to select any coordinates and find your drop zone or favorite surf spot.
HIGH QUALITY DATA
Weather forecasts are provided by the Swiss company meteoblue. Their weather model accesses different weather models such as ECMWF, GFS or ICON and chooses the best forecast for the selected location.
LOCATION COLLECTIONS
Mark locations as favorites for quick access. With built-in location collections, you can even go a step further and save locations by topic. For example, save all of your dropzones in a separate location collection and compare Skydiving forecasts even more easily.

What's New in Version 1.1.0
VERSION 1.1 IS HERE!
The first major version since the release of Sonuby includes the two most requested features as well as many improvements and bug fixes:
DARK MODE
By far the most requested feature on Sonuby’s Feature Board was Dark Mode. As an Enthusiast subscriber, you can now switch between the light standard design and a beautiful dark design. If your device is already set to dark mode system-wide, you don't need to do anything. Sonuby will automatically detect the setting and switch to dark mode. You can also switch between light and dark design manually via the app settings.
If you are not yet an Enthusiast subscriber, you can try the subscription for three days (monthly subscription) or seven days (annual subscription).
Also, this month you can get a 50 percent discount on the annual subscription by using the coupon code XMAS. This can be redeemed within the app.
FORECAST ACCURACY
A feature requested by many meteoblue fans was the display of forecast accuracy in the 7-day forecast. From now on, you will see five dots next to the day's date that change color depending on how accurate the forecast is for that day.
RENAME LOCATIONS - NOW FREE
You can now rename locations as a free user.
SKYDIVING WEATHER REPORT IMPROVED
Based on numerous feedback to my post in /r/SkyDiving/ (Reddit), I have made the following adjustments to the skydiving weather report:
Nowcast:
- Air pressure has been moved to extended mode as it is irrelevant for many skydivers.
Daily forecast:
- Wind direction is now displayed with arrows by default, wind barbs can still be enabled via the module settings.
- The altitude meteogram for wind and temperature has been reduced to the most relevant jumping heights, the full altitude meteogram can be enabled via the module settings.
- UV index has been moved to extended mode as it is irrelevant for many skydivers.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
- Wind is now displayed everywhere with wind arrows, wind barbs can still be enabled via the module settings.
- Precipitation in 7-day forecast is now split into rain and/or snow.
- Increased the contrast of light design in some places to improve readability.
BUG FIXES
- Windbarbs now point in the right direction
- Fixed meteograms to correctly display larger amounts of snow
