Not sure what to say….

Seemed cool at first after seeing it advertised on Instagram. However I tried to transfer 3 pensions, they just stuck in transferring for months. Had chased this up two or three times. Then today I sent a message just to cancel the transfers and delete me account. They just deleted it without giving me a message about transfer status or cancelling. Idk what happened here but this doesn’t seem like a very professional or well-run service. As it turns out there’s lots of other providers that do this transfer service, this app is not unique.

Didn’t complete sign up

Wanted to transfer my pensions under hsbc and onto the app and I don’t want them moved, I only wanted to find them. Would be preferable if I could see the pensions before being made to move them. Didn’t complete it as I don’t know what would happen if I moved pensions I may want to access later.

Not worth the time if your serious about your pensions

After waiting nearly 4 weeks it says I have no pensions with any of the suppliers I know I have. Dismal waste of time.

Brilliant!

Pensions are something so many of us really don’t think about near as much as we should. And then when we do it’s such a daunting task. Honestly.

But penny does it automatically. Behind the scenes with very little input required. It found a pension of mine that I had forgotten about.

Love the simplicity of the app.

To say this app is a let down is an understatement.

I have rated it at 2 stars due to how easy it is to use.

It then says that it may take 2 weeks. Well….. after over 6 weeks, it found one of my pensions.

Pretty useless really. I know I have at least 5 pensions, and the company I work for now want even listed.

Not happy with the service at all.

Misleading Approach

Listed out my previous roles for which I have old pensions, deliberately not including my current role; was fully aware these would be transferred which I was prepared for.

However within a few seconds of doing this on the app, I received an email from my CURRENT (active) pension provider that someone or some system had attempted to reset my online password for my current online pension account. Why on earth would the app need to do that? They make a clear point of saying they don’t touch any current active pension, but clearly they were trying to here.

I immediately closed my Penny account and deleted the app, would strongly advise anyone not to use this service.

Very misleading

Read the small print !!!

If you agree for the app to search for your old pensions it will automatically transfer any pensions it finds into a a new scheme with a new company !

Not up to the hype

So I already have details of 4 separate pensions, but I was keen to know if I’d missed any after years of job hopping. I signed up to Penny and after providing all my details, so far they have found 3 which has taken over 3 weeks…..all 3 I knew about. So I’ll be deleting this account, not quite the promise they advertise.

Can’t log back in

Tried several times to log in after submitting details, but no joy! Dumped the app, reloaded it, restarted phone at different points….. Still no access. I get as far as the code, then it sticks with the spinning icon, giving the impression of something happening but it never does.

Then, when I close it all down and try opening the app, it sticks with a white screen and the icon…….. and thats ad fat ad it goes. Deleted and not reinstalling. Thanks for wasting 2 hrs of my life☹️

I wrongly assumed this app tracked down your pensions so you could view them in one place… just received a letter from one saying they are transferring my fund presumably to this lot….. not happy and will be looking to move it on ASAP

Nice app but concept is agressive

Enjoyable UI but I don’t like the lack of control. Why must I transfer all my past pensions? I just want to know what they are and then chose. Because of this I didn’t complete the sign up. There are other free services that do this without commitment

A couple of suggestions

Early days but if I might add a couple of suggestions for this app

One would be a “back” button so you could correct any mistakes while registering

Secondly when you get to search different pension companies might it be an idea to “select all” if you have no idea who the company is .

Along the same vein how about being able to type in the name of a company if you know it but it’s not on your list .

Just a few ideas that came to me while setting it up .

Simple, well made, does exactly what it says

V easy to use and works well. Found all of my old pensions (if only I had more 😭) and integrated them into a pretty well performing fund. Got much more control now. Cheers guys ✌️

BeAware!!!!!

The App chat will sneakily get you to authorise the transfer of your pensions - the only option you get for viewing all your pensions is to authorise them to access and transfer together - pretty sly!
