Could be so much better

Shame there are so many flaws in this game. Graphics missing from some questions…one q said ‘type what you see’ and presents you with nothing to look at! Apparently that was a tune fish! Another’s answer is wrong…a simple counting of the number of O’s gives 7 but you seem to think it’s 9. Graphics on some of the 1% questions are impossible to see properly. A bit more variety in the 1% questions would be good too. Sort it out and it will be so much better.

I enjoy the tv show. The app game gives the same questions after just a few goes. Gives the player explanation of the answer if you get it right but not when you get it wrong. Sometimes it gives no answer at all. The images for some of the questions are very poor. Some questions are just daft.

Should be called ‘Frustration’

This app was so irritating to play that I had to delete it! Some of the answers don’t make sense, the app doesn’t give you time to answer, especially if you have to type an answer, the numbers/letters are too small to read on a smartphone and as someone else has said, you can’t go back to the question once you’ve answered it. Not fun or entertaining to play, just FRUSTRATING!!

Total rubbish, the questions are either pointless and so easy that they are not worth asking, or completely wrong / lacking explanation. You’d think that an app endorsed by a TV Game show would have. Been developed by professional people rather than amateurs. So not like the game show, maybe something g primary school children will enjoy, certainly not anyone in our family.

Useless

Some questions don’t display correctly so you can’t answer the question. Others are repeated after only 2 or 3 games - at different supposed difficulty levels. Some questions are ambiguous or the ‘answers’ are just plain wrong. Many have already been used on the show so answers are obvious. When you choose to play a pass it says you are timed out and you lose that round. For an app that is endorsed by the TV show, I expected better.

Promises to be good, but several questions get repeated on next go of the game, so can become a memory test. Pyramid maths question is wrong, says the answer is 39 but should be 44. Grid question you can put correct grid ref, but if you put number/letter you’re counted as wrong as the game wants letter/number.

Could be great but needs updating

Currently this almost works well. The skip never works even if you use coins as it times out and you have to start again. Some questions are formatted badly that they make no sense. If the bugs were ironed out then it would be a lot more enjoyable. Unfortunately I gave up after 30 minutes or so as got too annoyed with it

Poor programming of app

I answered December 31 to a question to be told it was incorrect, then have the correct answer revealed as December 31st. So I missed the st of the number??? Surely you could have programmed it to recognise any variation of the correct date as a legitimate answer. Lazy programming…. when will app developers take the time to go over the finished effort before releasing it on the App Store?

Unable to pass level with the correct answer being submitted

I am on a level in the 10,000 section where the answer is “the vowels are all in alphabetical order”

However as there is not enough room to write that so it doesn’t matter how you write it even to the short version “alphabetical order” you cannot pass the level so there is literally no point playing anymore !!!

Great TV show, awful app

So disappointed with this app as I loved playing along with the TV show. Many of the questions are just weak and you only have to play this a couple of times to see how badly written some of the questions are, so you don’t give their supposedly correct answer.

Just awful and frustrating so I would not waste any time with this.

No pictures in a picture question

It doesn’t tell you why the answer is wrong and also some of the questions are impossible to answer…I had a question today that asked which picture had been turned upside down, except there were no pictures just phrases that said ‘child hanging from tree’, ‘child hanging from climbing frame’ etc. This app needs work.

There is a question of ‘What am I?’ The answer is ‘caught between a rock and a hard place’. Unfortunately, there is not enough room to type the answer on the screen and consequently it always rejects the answer as incorrect. This can be frustrating! I think the game could be much better

Mistake

One of the questions is incorrect as it asks which letter in Vanish do you change to make something disappear. The word should say Banish in the question but it says vanish which is confusing.

You’ll have to take my word for it, but it’s rare that I don’t get to the last round when I’m watching the TV show. I mention this because it would be really easy to dismiss any complaint about the questions as sour grapes. Multiple questions are written in such a way as to be unintelligible, either through unintentionally ambiguous language or poor formatting (for instance, one question asks for a set of letters that can be used to complete a number of words, but the words aren’t spaced out so it’s impossible to see how they are grouped). One question made no grammatical sense whatsoever, and when you are presented with the answer there is no explanation and the question is obscured, so I couldn’t even figure out what it was trying to ask me.

Unfortunately, in a game that is based on gambling with your progress, this is a bit of a deal breaker. Some basic quality control would rectify all of this.

Such a disappointment

We live this show but the app is a huge disappointment. Many of the visual questions (I.e the grid reference) are just too small to see on a smart phone which is likely what most people are playing on. The accuracy with which you need to type answers is impossible in such a small field that you cannot edit typos in - at least bit in the allotted time. Getting an answer wrong for typing the correct two works required but not an & in the middle just does not make sense. There is huge potential here but it’s just bit realised…

I get questions right but it doesn’t recognise that my answer was correct. For example, if I answer 31st December, it will say incorrect, the answer is December 31st. Another one was a grid reference which was 3b but they said the answer was b3 !! This is a bug that needs fixing.

The questions in the app are not enough like the ones in the show. They are too easy and really the sort of questions that are asked in the show. Got to 1% club too easy - I usually struggle when playing along with the show.

Pictogram for names question shows Olive, Holly, Cliff, but table (the answer) only sporadically. When it is absent, you can’t click on it despite knowing it SHOULD be there because it has been before.

Candle pictograms so dark and of such poor quality that you can’t see that candle B is supposed to be alight.

The “pours” pictogram in pause, paws, computer mouse missing, so, again, you can’t click on it as your answer. I’m sure there are other examples of missing/ unviewable/ terrible quality pictograms.

Programmer can’t count correctly. The small “o”s are not as the “correct” answer specifies. The total of words AND numbers in one particular sentence is out by the sum of the number of words. There are numerous examples of this.

More than one correct answer in some questions (e.g., find the animal in “crate” could be rat or cat, only rat accepted as correct). More than one example of this, too.

Unless you’re a speed typist, it isn’t always possible to type “your eyes are bigger than your stomach” for one Catchphrase-style clue answer.

Keyboard sensitivity highly variable, causes absent letters/ characters even when you have typed correctly. No minus sign on my keyboard when the answer was -1.1

There are other problems with this rendition of the TV gameshow. Some may well be me being dim, but one example for me is that the trays of differently coloured shapes don’t seem to match the “correct” answer given.

NO explanations ever given for wrong answers and not always for “correct” answers, either.

Repetition. Identical questions can and do sometimes appear in consecutive questions, and also they can be at both the easy AND the harder end of the 10-questions-scale of difficulty, which makes no logical sense at all.

Programmer, PLEASE sort out your algorithms, sort out your pictograms, and re-check your faulty counting results. It’s enormously frustrating for players to know they absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, have given the correct answer only for your programme to insist it’s incorrect, ditto knowing the correct answer option is absent from the screen.

Please also provide a way that players can enlarge the minuscule renditions of long chains of characters when asking which one matches the slightly larger version shown in the centre of the screen. Players currently need a jeweller’s loop to be able to see these options clearly.

If you could also set it so that when players have reached the “unlocked” page for the 1% questions, the next available row of unlocked questions is immediately available instead of requiring players to scroll past already-answered 1% questions (that you can’t play again anyway), that would also decrease the frustrations you are currently causing.

Great idea, miserably poor execution. Expect frustration and stress if you play this and want to be credited by the game for providing correct answers, because this game will not always do as it should. It’s a bit like having a calculator that insists 2+2=7. You know it’s wrong, but there is nothing you can do about it!

Lots of Glitches

Some of the pictures are wrong or missing for example one question is about the background colours rhyming with the objects on them but all the backgrounds are white and another asks the grid reference of a picture but there is no picture! Oh and some of the maths questions are definitely wrong! Also it's quite unresponsive to touch especially the keyboard and sometimes time you get it to respond you've run out of time. If you are incorrect it doesn't tell you why but if you're correct it does - when you obviously already know because you got it right, it would make much more sense to explain it when you're incorrect so you could learn.

Your 1% question about how many times the hands overlap on a clock in 24 hours has the wrong answer stored in your system. The answer is 24 but you state 22 and miss 11:55 in your explanation.

For example what can you hold on your right hand, but not in your left. The answer is your left hand. But my answer was your left elbow which was also correct. So sad I didn’t get through to 1% 😂

Wrong answers and silly questions

Some of the answers are just plain wrong! Even in the easier questions. I think they need a bit more checking. And some of the questions are ridiculous. Asking “how do you spell pronunciation” so all you have to do is copy the spelling from the question. Positive: at least it’s free so I haven’t wasted any money.

Similar to the missing 99 % review I think this game is the absolute worst game to ever grace this earth, I hope the creator is force to live with the 99% of peoples life that was ruined by this game, I cannot stress my anger to this game as a whole it I wish to beat the game developers to a bloody pulp and twist their nipples blue, I am not sure if I will survive the amount of anger searing through my veins. I hope the worst part of Africa is fed you so you can feel the misery I felt. Sorry for my bad English.

A few bugs adds to frustration

1st off me and the wife enjoy watching this show on TV so thought give this a go

It’s very buggy and some questions don’t make sense…. If only when we got a question wrong it told me why?

I took a screen shot of one number sequence and I got it wrong. I googled it and guess what…. It was right

I went on a took shots of about 20

Different questions BUT then after googling them about 60% was wrong

If they sorted out the actual right answers with the questions & like on TV they said what the right answer was and WHY then it could be a good app

But until they do I have got to un-instal

A few issues

Great app just a few things not working properly (for example a question about background colour had all white background for each answer) and some of the answer choices are far too small to see on a small phone screen.

Too buggy

Some questions can't be answered - eg the formatting of text is wrong, pictures don't appear for 'what is this' and a sometimes the questions are incomplete or wrong (eg the kite question has no background colours).

I'm getting to the 1% a lot though, but now I have to figure out pieces on a chess board all the time... boring.

Too many negatives…..

It started well but……

Some questions are very ambiguous and similar questions do not follow the same ‘pattern’.

Some questions ask ‘what is this’ but the image is that of the 1% Club Logo ( if the image was ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ I imagine it was supposed to be a Dingbat style question.

Some of the questions are too hard to work out the answer to in 30 seconds.

It’s been fun but I’m deleting it - it’s just too frustrating .

Really badly made app, I answered 10 and it said wrong answer, correct answer is 10!

And their questions are also wrong “I’m 21 but celebrating my 6th birthday what date is it”

Presumably I thought 29th of feb, but that occurs every 4 years so if it was their “6th” birthday they would be 24 not 21! Don’t waste your time

Questions are either too easy or impossible

The first question is easy as it should be, but the following questions are near impossible. Either worded strangely so It’s too hard to understand or long-winded unrealistic answer in the 30 secs it gives you to type out the answer.

The questions were being repeated within a few goes. Some are so pointless as to make the game boring.

This could have been the next big thing that everyone was talking about, but poor development, copy and testing has let the show down.

A lot of the questions are either typed incorrectly or images and colours are not displayed as they should. Someone needs to go through and proof read all of the questions to make it viable. I’ll look out for updates and see if it improves.

A question with half missing from the screen. Questions where the checking is stupidly strict e.g. ‘How many times do you need to turn a page to read a 20 page newspaper?’ If you put ‘10’ you get it wrong- you have to put ‘10 times’! Don’t bother.
