the app is really great for demo tracks. its a good place to start an idea and get it off the ground
the only think is i wish the chord progression included modes in it im trying to get my idea off the ground but its in C dorian and theres not much help for it. yeah its doable but not as intuitive

Great app but needs improvement
One of the greatest apps for writing in the AppStore.
I had Tully before and if I did not close the project overnight it would delete itself.
I would love it if the developer created a search option so we could simply writing down the name of the project we are looking for instead of having to scroll.
The app also need looking into as it does freeze quite a lot especially when scrolling up/down.
Apart from that it’s all good.

Not allowing refund
This app was downloaded by my little brother and he did not mean to purchase the premium subscription. I am not being given a refund and this is wrong. Please give me a refund!

Only one thing wrong with the app:
So the app itself is great but there is only one problem. You can add any style you want and duplicate a verse and stuff but it just won’t sing the duplicated verse which I find really annoying but other than that, the app is alright.

30 seconds after opening this app for the first time, I’m hit with pop-ups asking for my money, offers for subscriptions to a paid version of this app. Bad start.
It gets worse. As a rock/metal musician, this app is useless to me as it’s clearly geared towards bedroom singers — pop oriented. I’ve not even tried to record anything yet, as I was interrupted by subscription pop-ups every time I chose a different instrument or pressed any button…
It may be useful to you if you’re into low-effort pop rubbish, though I doubt anyone would be patient enough to endure all the pop-ups.
You’d be wise to avoid this app.

Deleted my recording
Not a very good app. I paid for the yearly subscription. What a waste. Wish I could a refund. I recorded myself singing and playing piano on my iPad. Later tried to listen on my iPhone. The cloud syncing function does not work then deleted the recording I made. Then it got wiped from all the devices. So its great for syncing if you want to delete stuff but not if you want to make songs. Need I say more.

Fantastic for 10 minutes but useful
Literally you’ll get about 5 or 6 maybe around 8 midi loops if you’re into lofi house, deep house or acid house like myself. Roughly around ten minutes to 20 minutes of your time unless you purchase the monthly subscription 🙄 they offer an amazing discount however, sadly, it’s still a monthly subscription fee so I what exactly is the purpose of the discount I ask? Perhaps it’s the developers way of saying Don’t Waste Your Time Downloading “DEMO”. lol 😂
But no seriously if there was a way I could receive some kind of rebate or what’s the word? Oh that’s right duh time is not refundable 😀 Благодарность

App is great for songwriting ideas. However it could be improved by adding a cutting tool such as scissor in splitting recorded vocals for various parts of the song. Also it could great if you add functions of copying and pasting recorded vocals to used as chorus without re-recording chorus..apart from that I can see how this is going to a great to use during my PhD program.

Simple and easy to use
So easy to use and it’s really enjoyable, the recording quality is better than expected. The only issue I have is the timing of the song and the lyrics I wish there was some sort of countdown to the next verse that could be put in so my timing of the song would be better. Other than that amazing app! So many free samples I can use without even reaching into my pocket.

I have 100’s of songs in my head and this app suits it all most perfectly! I’ve already made a killer track . I wish you guys would put in more instruments tracks in tho as it gets a bit messy when moving it to midi, but apart from that it’s the best app like this I’ve tried . Love it well done guys I can’t thank you enough especially as a singer who can’t play anything but this helps Me get all my ideas out . Thanks 🙏

I’m not musically trained and can’t read music but love to sing. This app is so easy to use that I was able to learn how to use it and write my first ever song all in one day! Definitely recommended!

Nice app!
Easy to choose different chords and make different vibes with them. If you dont like an accord in a chord, you can easy change it. The vocal has been choosen easily between your voice or a lyric, so you have many options to make a good track. :)

Take all my money . For someone building out an understanding of music theory and songwriting & producing is a hobby , this is a God send . The UI/UX design of the app is amazing too . I can’t wait to see more video tutorials of how to use it properly .

a genuinely great tool for sketching ideas!
lovely way to sketch ideas on the move, especially helpful if someone (me) only has a light knowledge of music theory as it displays chords/etc in a well l-designed, segmented way, AND displays them in number form (like I IV V VII etc) which is helping to hammer all that stuff in my brain better.
I will say the one caveat is you basically need to buy the full thing for it to be actually useful, but the free demo easily demonstrates why you should, and why it is absolutely worth it.

I thank God every day this app exists
There’s so many apps out there which are great but we end up taking for granted. Not this one. This is one of those things in life that make you think: “I can’t believe this exists” everytime you use it. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible Demo has been for my creativity. It allows me not only to create with endless possibilities, but also learn a great deal about structure, music, and sound. I hope I’ll one day be able to release something and that will be all thanks to Demo. A few tweaks here and there (eg it is limited to only three instruments, and there’s not much flexibility in changing how sounds go) but the future is bright for this amazing service to the creative industry. THANK YOU to everyone who works on this app. I salute you and thank you for allowing me to express myself.

I’ve been writing songs in my notes for months and have struggled with everything else but the lyrics. This app helped me make a chord progression, helps me change round my verses/choruses etc and I’ve nearly finished my first song on THE FIRST DAY OF THIS APP!!

Brilliant app for when your on the go and don’t have an instrument. Would be better if you could layer piano melodies on top but it only has chords so I would say it’s purely for writing lyrics and chords rather than building up the instrumentals

Not bad but very limited
Not a bad app but it isn’t cheap and as such, I feel the options are very limited for the price! There is only one main instrument which is piano/synth and you can’t alter the drums or bass presets other than add reverb to it. The mixer tool is very limited too. The tutorials are very minimal. When I record vocal with reverb on, it adds reverb to the whole track and I can’t work out how to not make it so. I hope new versions of the app will address some of this. It’s a nice little app, not worth its price yet in my opinion but could become it with more development.

As a theatre maker I love to add original song to our work, I’m good with lyrics but have not much clue on how to put music together….an app like this allows me to create the sound I want and saves time in front of a real musician highlighting what I want it to be.

Amazing for a beginner like me
I love to sing and write lyrics but have no musical background and not able to play an instrument yet. The app is so helpful in the creation of simple chords and writing out your lyrics and coming up with a melody almost instantly. It’s a really good app to help you build your foundation so you have something to work with and you can pitch the idea to a music producer you wanna work with for example. Definitely recommended for someone just starting out like me.

I absolutely love this app.
I struggle with putting together instrumentals (before this I had lyrics written for 10 songs with no instrumentals, I now have 3 demo recordings after 1 day of having this app), so would absolutely recommend to anyone I meet!
However, please consider adding some rockier/grunge/alternative tracks to work with, it would be a massive help to me, and I’m sure to many others too, and would just take this app from being great to excellent.
I hope the developers read this and consider adding that in, would be highly appreciated by folks using this app that prefer a more alt taste and want more options other than the current “alternative” sample tracks.

Good but too limited
I was very excited to use this but bumped into the limitations of the app in the first 10 minutes.
No customisation of the drums or bass lines. No guitar. No custom chord builder. Only 3/4 and 4/4 time signatures available. No tempo changes possible. All in all a very promising app but with features that I found limited my songwriting rather than helped it.

i think theres a lack of choice, piano definitely isnt for everyone, if there was an option between guitar or/and Piano that would be brilliant.
An attractive design, really easy to understand and certainly makes writing music more fun and enjoyable.
I like this app and id recommend it to anyone trying to start music.

It’s decent
I’ve been trying to put a song together with lyrics for a while now, I feel like this hits on many of the things I want in an app like this. I put the chords together, and there is a nice handy lyrics rhymer. You can choose from a variety of different chord shapes which is nice and easy to use.
Issue is, there’s just stuff missing that I feel I need. A way to add melody. Different time signatures like 6/4, 7/8. Tempo changes. Maybe even just a chord builder so I can just layout a custom chord rather than the preset.
I do feel this has helped me in my simpler songs, but there isn’t much control to create more complex songs, at least as of right now.
Overall I’d say give it a go since it’s free, but I’d like to know they’ll add some of these features before I commit to a subscription.

Fantastic little app. It does what it says on the tin, ‘democratises’ songwriting, especially for those who aren’t familiar with using complicated songwriting software. Have been able to write a respectable tune in minutes with this app, just because of its easy accessibility. Looking forward to playing around with this and seeing the full extent of what it can do.

If like me you are not great on instruments but you want to create and give other musicians your thoughts, you can with this… I like the fact that I can add my lyrics and my music ideas into some kind of format… I am new to this so I am still figuring things out but so far it is ok… I am trying to learn how to copy and paste a verse somewhere else for repeating … but any other wise it good

I literally only have ONE reservation before buying this app.
I’ve only used the free version so far but it is very helpful when formatting chords and lyrics. In fact it’s a great app and significantly speeds up the songwriting process. The only concern I have which has made me hesitant about purchasing the full version is that I don’t know how secure my songs are when using the app. I don’t know what they do to ensure that music songs are not lost, seen or used by any other user or anyone else for that matter? If I knew that… I would buy in a heartbeat.

Extremely helpful for songwriters & musicians
I never normally write reviews but I feel like this app has to be the exception because it’s so brilliant! As a vocalist and keyboard player, it’s a great tool for me to write songs on the go when I can’t have a keyboard with me. The library of different chords is huge and I like the way it gives recommended chords based on the key you’re writing in.
The yearly subscription is 100% worth the money & I like the fact that it’s yearly rather than monthly. This app allows anyone to easily write and record demos of original songs & the full version is great value for money which makes it accessible to everyone.
In terms of improving the app, I’d say maybe some more variety of the way the chords can be played & maybe the option to have acoustic or electric guitar. I’d also love to see some more genres/sub genres eg. Country pop, pop rock, rock, Irish, indie, classic rock, metal, bluegrass, punk, pop punk ect..
The app is brilliant the way it is already but those are just some suggestions :)
