This is the 3rd time in days I’ve had to delete and down load this app. Just keeps crashing , once I come out of the app it doesn’t open again a waste of time.

No update for two years. And it badly needs it!
Used to love this app. It was the go-to app on the way home from work to see what shop was the cheapest for my weekly shop and would therefore decide which one I was going to.
Now it’s missing loads of products, missing some prices, missing actual product data in some cases, unable to create lists, often hangs with a blank screens and needs force closing and trying again several times before it works.
Just an all round disappointment. Now closed account and deleted app.

Waste of time
I was all for this app, when it was first announced and even participated, when they sought funds for their start-up. However, the actual implementation has turned out to be a complete disappointment. The whole app is buggy with inconsistent search results and items disappearing from lists, without warning. I really would not recommend anybody waste their time and loss of hair, over it. With great sadness.

Prices are incorrect Lately
Lately prices are not the same as online or in store on some of my favourites. Trekking to the supermarket to get my bargains only to find they're not on offer.

Oh how I miss mysupermarket.com
This is very much mysupermarket.com’s much poorer brother. Lot of the time the prices are incorrect, 90% of the time Sainsbury’s aren’t even listed as a comparison, the app crashes all the time, if you’ve been in it once that day it will come up with a blank white screen, forcing you close the app down and start again. It seems they are getting many of their so called deals from Amazon, which aren’t deals at all! When reporting prices as being incorrect, nothing is done.

Prices always inaccurate
Each time I’ve tried to use this app, the prices are always wrong. I’ve checked the prices on this app then went into a store and they’ve been different. Checked on the stores website and they show the store price, not the price on the Trolley app.

Great idea but not found prices accurate. App says £36 for 1 litre of Jack Daniel’s in Sainsburys but I just got it for £26. Only by chance I spotted it in there. Would’ve missed out on offer if I’d gone by app. How do the prices actually get updated? Crowd sourced data?

Brilliant App!
This is a great app - very simple to use, no annoying pop-ups, reliable. You even get alerts when a watched pice has changed.
Would be helpful if Farmfoods was also included.

Ended up overpaying for an item
Have been using this and thought it was a great idea, so easy and had all the deals in one place. I went to order a large size of coffee using their direct link. It turns out it was for a smaller size and I have paid a lot more. Don’t really trust the app anymore. It’s not a quick to check prices. Easier to check online instead.

UPDATE: white screen issue STILL EXISTS

This issue is still not resolved! Often when you open the app you get a white screen. Once you’ve force quit and opened back up again, it works okay. A little frustrating. The app itself is amazing. So good that you can check prices across numerous supermarkets to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

This app works when it feels like it. You return to it sometime and are met with a completely blank page. When starting up from scratch it is fine, but at some point later, nothing. Odd.

Trolley App
Downloaded the app and was confused at first because when clicking on an item the pop up display doesn’t show the options which are hidden at the bottom which is annoying. So I opened trolley in a web browser and found the layout much more user friendly. The prices appear to be mostly accurate but a lot seem to be wrong when showing £/100g. It could could do with the option to sort the order of items in a list so you can have them in the order that you shop in a particular store.

Used to love the app ...
I used to love your app but the past few updates have made it annoying to use. You've added eBay and Amazon but when there is a notification the price is rarely comparing the same quantity so not really cheaper. I've removed all notifications now because of this. The option to see updates for preferred shops only would be great. The other pain is often when clicking on an item in my list there sometimes isn't the option to click on "go to the product" only "i've bought this item". Then have to search the item to click on it.

Poor search function
When filtering the search to list the lowest price items it brings up items containing the words rather than the specific food item.
e.g searching for chicken breast with the lowest price filter on brings up chicken cat and dog food and items like chicken burgers, nuggets etc rather than just specifically chicken breasts. And the chicken breast that were listed came up in price order rather than price per weight. I’ve also noticed items that are wrongly priced or that the store doesn’t stock. Sort these issues and the app will be great. I’m on the look out for something better to compare prices.

Saving £5 on first time use

After using this app for the first time I saved £5 instantly. I was looking at Carling lager 18 pack. I would have usually called in Sainsbury’s where it was £15 each. The app showed that Morrisons where doing the same product at £10 , win win . Happy days.

Great! But…
So glad to see another good supermarket comparison site up and running - I used to use mysupermarket back in the day and was sad when it died a death.
The only thing that would improve the experience, for me anyway, would be to be able to order search results in order of “price per”, be it price per item, per wash, per 100g, etc.
But keep up the good work, really enjoying the app!

Needs a lot of work
I want to love this app I was so disappointed when the my supermarket app shut down because it was great and let you do comparisons and workout the cheapest place to buy products quickly and simply
But this website is a complete chore, the search function is glitchy and not well optimised for instance if you search for a product it has a random mix of items not just the product your looking for and then if you try and use any filters you suddenly get completely different results not the item your searching for
Each item is individually listed per shop so you can’t just click on the product and see how much it is in each super market you have to search for each supermarket to find out if they have a deal especially with generic items like potatoes 2.5 kg
It just makes everything take longer
I really hope they hire some of the people who used to work at the my supermarket app and are able to get this running more smoothly

My favourite & go to app pre food shop..
I’ve been using Trolley since it launched and each time I log in it’s continuously improving all the time.
It’s changed the way I shop resulting in being able to increase my savings which prior to using the app I was massively in debt spending way too much in supermarkets!!
When I hear people struggling I show & share this app I’m so glad you were saved.
Pre leaving the house to do my grocery shop after I’ve put together the list I got trolley and workout the most cost effective place to shop that week.

Inconsistent
A really good app for ease of use but lately I am finding the offer on the app isn’t always same as in the store……on the same day.
I have on numerous occasions travelled to an alternative supermarket specifically for an offer to find it incorrect on arrival - false economy really when that happens.
I’d advise anyone to check the actual stores website rather than rely solely on this app.

Cannot use this app while actually shopping
I was delighted to discover this app and have created a list of items that we only purchase occasionally, like washing powder and fabric softener. But when in B&M or Poundstretcher I want to check that they have the correct type of product that we prefer, however at that moment the app doesn’t load due to no internet connection. I only use wifi on my iPhone so it works In Tesco and Sainsbury’s but not in some of the other stores. It’s very disappointing that I can’t even view my list offline. Surely this can be made to work offline.

Exceptional app
I think this is one of the smartest apps for money saving that I’ve come across. No wonder the supermarkets hate it so much, when you can compare a product across ALL supermarkets. I hope this app survives the Big Brother lawyers and the corporate bullies.

Great app but room for improvement
I have found a few times prices are not accurate. However have to appreciate prices move very quickly. Would be good to have a feature where LIVE customers can verify if price is still core t at time of purchase.
Great insight into supermarket prices and how frequently they shift prices around.
I love the fact this app groups your shopping items per store where to get best price.

Been using Trolley for awhile now and so glad that they did not have to close.
Always use to check for deals and like the idea of being able to save certain items that I buy and if there is any price changes trolley will always email to let you no of price change.

Super handy
I like to post a review when I think an app exceeds my expectations. I did a quick search on google and discovered Trolly. I have to shop at multiple stores due to my diet so coordinating my shop is usually tedious and shopping in store can take hours.
What surprised is I can select the items which creates shopping lists for each store, game changer! I just hope it reduces my shopping time and I don’t get sidetracked 😁

Wonderfully useful
I really like the fact that this app is UK based so everything is relevant. There’s a few things we buy regularly, a particular blend of ground coffee, “ Sensodyne Repair and Protect “ toothpaste etc. Before I got the app I’d pop into various supermarkets to check current prices and stock up if I found them on offer. Now I can keep track of prices and wait for items to go on offer.

No good if prices aren’t accurate
Decided to do a shop at Sainsbury's due to several items on my shopping list being on offer/reduced in price according to Trolley. Did my shop within 20mins of checking the prices on Trolley and none of the prices were accurate - all items were full price. Great concept but pointless if you aren’t going to make sure your prices are accurate.

Unnecessarily complicated!
I consider myself technically savvy,I sit on computers 24-7 and when I ran out of Nescafé gold blend I assumed using this app would find who was selling it the cheapest? Boy what a crazy complicated website this is! I cannot see the average shopper being patient enough compiling list after list AND you can open up an item only to find you cannot back up a step so you have to completely come out of the app! Crazy!
What SHOULD happen is you search for an item and bam it just lists a range of places that sell it and how much,it ain’t hard that’s ALL people need!

Great for meal prepping at cheapest rate
I meal prep and use organic ingredients often so it’s It’s really helpful to know where the cheapest items are as it does vary. It lets you create your own shopping lists which it separates by supermarket. Perfect so that you know which shop you need to go to for the cheapest ingredients. Only downside is it doesn’t seem to have every item available in every supermarket.

First impressions - buggy as hell
Do you even QA this before release? Predictive search options aren’t actually selectable, rendering the feature useless beyond giving you a spelling to copy. Register with Google just puts you in an endless loop and isn’t working at all. I gave up at that point

Very handy app
This is a very useful app. Just two suggestions:
1) it needs an offline mode so you can check it while you’re in the supermarket (often with no signal). Offline mode could have a banner to let you know it’s offline and when prices were most recently synced.
2) Annoying Tesco’s advertised prices which understate what you get charged in the local Tesco’s shops. This is probably Tesco’s fault for false advertising (and should surely be illegal), but if there’s any what to actually show what you’ll get charged in your local Tesco it would help figuring out where’s best to shop!

Helpful but not a game changer
The app is lovely; clear and easy to use. Sadly it’s lacking one key feature which made my supermarket so great. It’s missing the ability to add products to a basket and checkout at the cheapest supermarket. I can’t find any website or app that does this - trolley please listen, you would fill a big gap in the market if you made this happen.

I like this app it’s very detailed and clever, this is the first app of this type I have used so I’m impressed however there’s a few things that could be improved, there’s no option to remove lists, the app bugged out a little bit and caused me to create 8 lists of the same name and I can’t remove them, other suggestion is when you browse by categories it would be more useful to have sub categories. I would also suggest a more improved user interface as the current one is very basic and can be hard to navigate, overall, 4 stars, great app and very useful.

At last!
Like other reviewers I used the mysupermarket app and was lost without it. This is an excellent replacement - it has saved me money already! Very easy to set up the list(s) of favourites and a good coverage of supermarkets and other shops like Superdrug or Wilko. Best feature for me so far is the notification option so I can see when offers start & finish. Very impressed!

This app has helped me see price differences with other stores and helped me save a lot of money so great full to have been introduced to this app! I highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay on a budget and save money to download this app as it’s a brilliant creation!

I used to use mysupermarket app regularly and missed it when it closed, I’ve just found this and it seems to be as good and I’m impressed with this
