Fussy springer

My 5 year old springer spaniel is very fussy with any type of dog food. She was on a mix of human food and dog food when I decided to try Butternut. The difference in her eating her food is amazing, she doesn’t leave a scrap in her bowl. She loves the recipes and now really looks forward to her food time. I’ve had to make sure I stick to the portion size otherwise she would gain weight for wanting more food. Recipe favourites - all of them 😀

Butternut is the best!!

We’ve been back ordering Butternut food for around 2/3 months. I’ve been researching and buying loads of human grade dog food from different companies. My boy Westie started losing his fur and his skin became extra dry - poor guy was really down. Apart from vets and dermatologist help I was also researching natural skincare and as I said human grade dog food. The dermatologist advised many things but some of the advice was my dogs diet hence my research. My winner is Butternut Box - my boy is smiling again and now reminds me when it’s Butternut time! We are delighted that since we’ve changed his diet new hair is growing on areas there was no growth before. I’m desperate trying to avoid strong steroids(the vets next step). Thank you Butternut - your food is great quality and delicious and I know because I’ve tried it. The meat/fish and vegetables can be recognised when preparing the meal. We are enjoying using the Beef and Chicken broth. Happy 8th Birthday you deserve every success. Well done so glad we found you again.

Poppie The Fussy Eater

I just had my first box delivered yesterday. Was delighted how promptly it arrived and so carefully packed. The instructions and guide book are first class and makes it so easy to see how the process works. I have an 11 year 8 month old Mini Schnauzer called Poppie who is a ‘fussy eater’. I was completely amazed when she scoffed the first helping down with her kibble. Today has been the same and I wish I had signed up much sooner. Thank you so much - Poppie and I are looking forward to our next delivery. I highly recommend this exceptional Company.

10 month old Goldendoodle

So glad I switched from plain kibble. My girl loves her food but just decided to not eat kibble. I was so worried - completely out of character. My sister recommended Butternut Box and now my lovely pup does circles and tells me through an excited bark to get a move on when I dish her dinner up. There’s never a scrap left. She loves it warmed for about 30 seconds in the microwave - am sure the smell is more intense warm. Since switching she gets a mix of junior large breed biscuits with her Butternut and is a very happy pooch. Thanks Butternut!!

Brilliant

I have never ever seen my sapphire eat so well and she was really loving it. Her first try so did half and half with her old food. She was even licking the floor in case she missed any. One very happy mummy and woofer. It was so nice to see her eat with enthusiasm and enjoy every last bit. I hope it will continue but I’m sure she will be fine. Definitely recommend if your unsure

Great!!!

Have wanted to buy food from this company for a while!! I got so excited when I did my first order!! I couldnt wait to give my dog his first Butternut meal! So far he loves the recipes, and hes getting old now so wanted to look after his health and what better way to do it than buying food from a company that makes fresh food, and even for human consumption!? The delivery was the next day after i ordered so it was very quick! also got a few freebies in my box! I mixed Butternut box with a little Bakers, and he spat the Bakers out🤣🤣 My dog definitely approves! thankyou

WOW - I have had to put the above description as my dog has had all of their frozen foods and loves them!! Butternut delight.

Morning all I am Ruby a 5yr 3month old red miniature Cockapoo. My daddy calls me his princess. I did not like to eat much I was a fussy dog. But my Dad got me some new food this month. The first time he put it out I was very delighted with the taste of the food. First time straight to the bowl I eat the lot it’s great but I still do lots of exercise to make up for what I have just had yum yum. I can’t wait for tomorrow meal. I hope I get the “Butternut” delight surprise tomorrow.

Changed my dogs life

I brought a chihuahua in July 2023, was struggling to find the right food and food he liked, after spending so much money and wasted so much food that he didn’t eat that was just going in the bin. Months and months of trying, to the point I took him to the vet concerned about his weight and eating, they told me to try different things but he wouldn’t eat it, I came to the point of tears. Then I suddenly saw butternut being advertised on instagram and I thought I’d give it a shot and never have I looked back, he had gained weight, looks amazing and I’m soo happy. Extremely Friendly, Convenient and Fuss Free!

Very happy with Butternut box. The food is fresh, healthy and has no bad ingredients. Max & Kodi love their meals and we like to mix up the flavors so they dont always have the same thing. The meals are convenient, deliveries arrive on time and safely every single month, we never run out of food. Great quality food, poor customer support

I like be the food and have never seen m dog more excited about meal times, however having used the app to change a delivery date, it indicated it had been changed but hadn’t and I haven’t felt well supported in addressing the issue. The email address provided doesn’t work and the online support or messaging doesn’t really exist in real time. Expected better.

Best thing I did for my dog

When I got Frankie he was a rescue, his diet was poor his bones were thin and brittle his coat was dry matted and he farted a lot and it was disgusting. A colleague of mine introduced me to Butternut box. It changes his life completely. He loves it so much the meals are delicious for him and the snacks are great. The farting completely stopped. It’s so amazing how his gut has healed with having a proper meal❤️

Only has two deliveries

Only had two delivers before they pumped up the price then over £70 to feed two chihuahuas for just over a month isn’t realistic! I’ve other bigger dogs on butchers grain free and they are a fraction of the cost to feed compared with o butternut. Foods nice dogs like it but it’s not worth the money they charging.

Best choice we’ve ever made for our fussy little Frenchie

She loves the meals every one of them and the chicken/turkey tenders she goes mad for. Really struggled to get her to eat any brand/type of food longer than a few months to the point she’d lose weight by not eating properly but when she started on these meals she gained weight and had a lot more energy. Would recommend to anyone.

The Very Best!

We cannot even begin to tell you, Rolo and I, how glad we are we’ve found you!

Rolo is a rescue and from very start we wanted to give him only very best food. We tried other brands but Rolo is a fussy eater and nothing was near enough. He won’t touch anything artificial ( like treats for example). We knew we are up for a challenge. But fortunately we came across Your offer and to our satisfaction - and Rolo’s of course we have had hit a jackpot! I tried it first- the food was delicious! We’ve seen exactly what is on the plate. And Rolo loved it- it was love at first bite!😍

Amazing amazing amazing

I cannot fault this company at all. The quality of their product is outstanding. If you break down the ingredients list compared to other top brands supplying dog food there is literally no comparison regarding quality. The high meat, fresh fruit and carbs is excellent. I also love how they remind you in advance that your next box is due and give you the option to reschedule or amend your order before the money is taken out of your account. Included with my Christmas box was a free pouch of Christmas dinner which I thought was a lovely touch. It might not be the cheapest but a way round it is to order larger pouches and divide the quantities. I own a dog groomers and highly recommend this product now above all others. Well done guys… fantastic

Simply Superb

Having fed my dogs all different kinds of food , I decided with my new pup I would give Butternut Box a try . I mix it 50/50 with fish 4 dogs kibble and she goes Nuts for it.

Also customer service is excellent, the best I have came across.

100% recommend for fussy dogs

I’ve tried my dog on everything. Raw, wet and kibble and she always got bored after a matter of weeks and took a lot of persuasion to actually eat a full meal most days. She has now been on butternut for 3/4 months and hasn’t turnt her nose up once! Also the app makes it very easy to order, keep track and customise there plan. 100% recommend for fussy dogs!

Christmas disappointment

We’ve been using Butternut box since February and Margot has thrived on it

The system works well usually

Had a email telling us that in the next box there would be a Christmas meal as a gift.

Box arrived on Thursday 14th December… no extra Christmas meal.

I emailed and got a response about how it was human error and many apologies- it’ll be taken to a higher management to check the box next time etc etc

In replacement they would send some treats.

So instead of a 200 gram meal we got ONE 70g bag of treats in a box that would have cost way more than the treats do.

I did take a photograph as it looked utterly ridiculous but it seems I can’t add that to this review.

Anyway on this occasion not impressed with the customer service- I also wondered how many other people missed out on their pets Christmas meal - maybe it was just us

Find the app hard to use

My dog loves the food but I find it difficult to use the app. Why when I’ve made my choice Why does it not have the option to put in basket which I could click and pay instead of keep going back and forth it’s so annoying . Please think of us older people trying to order for our pets. Get the app updated a bit like Amazon there’s is so easy to use even a fool like me has no problem.

Perfect for my pup

Best decision I’ve made!

Recently switched my dog to raw and I’m constantly at the shops and weighing out my dogs meals along with adding veg making sure it’s balanced, butternut box is amazing! It comes in handy packages so saves room and also means I can easily take her dinners with me if I’m ever going to my mums, my dog LOVES the food! And I love that there’s variety in every package 🙌🏽 and the fact it sets up a reorder window automatically means I never need to worry about running out! 10/10 in every way ☺️ also recently had a friend use my code and they donated a dog meal in my name to a dog charity - think this is such a lovely thing to do!

Food Ok but extremely difficult to cancel auto delivery

Having tried to cancel my account as recommended by my Vet. The food is too rich for my puppy. I contacted Butternut today and was told. All orders cancelled. .12hours later money taken from my bank account. Not Very Happy!!!

My dogs have suddenly got very excited at feeding time now that I've switched to Butternutbox. Their stools are not smelly and no more farts! Lovely! And they have much more energy .

Best decision ever

Since changing Freddie to Butternut he gets so excited when it’s breakfast/dinner time. Fred has always been a fussy eater and not really interested in some foods I have given him but Butternut he eats straight away. Best decision I ever made.

Can not believe it, definitely worth a try for fussy dogs

We have a 11 month old Bichon Fries and we have always struggled to get her to eat and enjoy her food, we have tried Tails and many other top brand foods and we have thrown more away that she has ate, since we have given her Butternut box she is a different dog, eats every scrap of the food and licks the bowl clean, she has so much more energy, her poops are healthy and she seems more content than ever, we do have to warm it up in the microwave but she loves it and hardly ever wants treats anymore, let’s hope this continues.

Great food

My dog is 7 and is very fussy with eating. He doesn’t like kibble and would often turn up his nose for breakfast kibble from tails.com and occasionally even refuse his evening meat and kibble mix. If I gave him any raw chicken or other meat leftovers, he would refuse to eat his own food for a couple of days! He became very unsettled when his tummy would rumble! So we tried natures menu raw food, he loved it for a week then again started refusing. I was throwing lots of meat away and wasting money, so we started cooking the meat for him, but he would only eat beef or chicken. We got fed up of the awful smell cooking up the raw food, so decided to try butternut box…..

Wow what a game changer, Murphy is two weeks in now and has not refused a single meal, he even goes back and licks the bowl just in case I have put more in😂 My children even say it looks good enough to eat ourselves. Well done butternut box you are hero’s! My only gripe is the price, it is very expensive, even with 20% off. Please reduce your prices please so low income people can afford to treat their dogs with this food.

Amazing

My JRT has been a fussy eater from day one and at 13 mths old it’s getting tedious we tried Dried/wet/raw/bit of both many different high brand/low brands still wouldn’t eat regular switched to butternut box feeling dubious about wasting more money but my god was I wrong my doggy absolutely clears his bowl in minutes I’m so delighted to see him eating well at long last thank you to the butternut box team massive well done !

Butternut WOW

I have a 16month old springer spaniel, we’ve had her since she was 4months old and we have tried so many different foods with her which is not good for her little belly. I’ve seen butternut advertised and wasn’t really sure as I thought it was going to be expensive. I’m so glad I took that chance because actually it works out cheaper then what I was paying and the best part is she cleans her bowl out 🥳

I like that there are different types of meat rather than the standard 2 or 3 so we can mix it up and I like that I don’t have to worry about running out of food and doing a mad dash to the shop to get her food and the fact that I don’t have loads of tins taking up room in my cupboard. Honestly best thing I ever done was giving butternut a chance. I wished you done this for cats as well as I’ve caught my cat liking Roxie’s bowl which she has never done before so it’s definitely a paws up from Missy the cat as well 😂

Was misled

I think I was misled by the advert and website as I thought this was a reasonably priced subscription but it’s worked out in the second order to be over £90 a month without any treats. I’m supposed to be saving money not trebling my out lay. So make sure you read all the information first before ordering.

What a difference

After just 1 week my French bulldog’s fur is like velvet. Previously he was eating kibble and grain free wet food, I tried salmon oil, blueberries but still his fur remained quite coarse and prickly. He looks happier and he can’t get enough of his food thank you Butternut Box 🙌🏽

Superb

I tried all different foods for my 6 year old rescue even resorting to cooking food for her. Nothing worked, she tied most of it initially then refused to eat. Been eating butternut foods for 3 weeks now as if it was the most delicious food on earth! Such a relief that she is at last enjoying her food

Recommended by our vet

We have two little pups that were underweight due to being such picky eaters. One day they loved chicken, the next they wouldn’t eat it. We tried (what I thought) was everything, from expensive wet food, to premium dry food to human food. Nothing worked consistently.

Our vet recommended Butternut and I said I would give it a try but felt it wouldn’t work. These pups will walk away from steak if they’re not in the mood!

I am amazed at what has happened!

After a month they look forward to meal times. They lick their bowls clean and ask for more! They are not fond of every pouch but we have 5 recipes that they love.

I hoped this would work, even getting them to eat a little more than usual but I could never have expected it would change their entire attitude to food.

What a find, what a recommendation and thank you Butternut!

Great food, my dog loves it but the App, terrible to navigate. Just the worst app I’ve used. Doesn’t show whole screen and can’t cancel or stop easily when you don’t need a food supply

9yr old rescue Jack Russell

We recently rescued a 9yr old Jack Russell from Dogs Trust. He had been suffering from an upset stomach and had been put on canned hyper allergenic wet food plus biscuits on the recommendation of the vet. Sadly he just refused to eat either the tinned food or the biscuits. We persevered to allow for the changes brought about through the adoption….but his poos remained very sloppy and infrequent.

We gave Butternut a try reasoning if it was human grade natural food gently steamed then it couldn’t do any harm. From the first pouch he absolutely wolfed it down. Within a couple of days his poos returned to normal and he is a picture of health. His coat is glossy and he has the energy of a two year old. We cannot recommend Butternut highly enough ….it looks and smells good enough to put in a cottage pie!

Can’t wait for dinner time

Olly & Murfy we’re getting tired of the same tin & dry food which I got from my vets. Olly has lots of little issues with his tummy and I had to be careful what I gave him.

Since changing to Butter nut Box they have gradually gone onto the pouches and they can’t wait for me to put it down for them.

I do warm it up as it was a bit to cold for them straight from the fridge, but they love it. So glad we made the change.

Great app

I love this app and honestly the food choices are amazing. The selection of extras you can add to your subscription are constantly growing

My only issue with the app is when picking what meal options you want theres no way to filter out the ones that you don't want. For example opting only to see those that are grain free. The only way to see what they are is to go into the more info section which slows the process down. It is functional but could be made more streamlined to allow you to pick quicker.

Amazing

My Dad has a 10’year old westie he was fed on fish rice and peas before my Mum passed away. We couldn’t continue with this due to my Dad having Alzheimer’s and not able to cook it. We have tried numerous different foods over the last 6 months and none have been successful. We have one unhappy dog and Dad. The vet recommended Butternut box and finally he absolutely loves it . It smells so good I could eat it . Alfie is back to his happy bouncy self and all because he’s enjoying his food again. The choice of flavours is so good. We will definitely continue with this. Finally the worry about Alfie not enjoying his food is over. He can’t wait to eat it and it’s not in the bowl long . I would definitely recommend it

My dog loves Butternut

As my dog got older I found she was eating her kibble slower and despite being a foodie was finding meal times a bit of a chore. Her teeth and gums were fine and there was no obvious reason for the lack of interest.

I decided to give Butternut a try and she took to it instantly! She gets so excited for her food and spins around like a dog half her age as I get it ready for her.

Recently she was diagnosed with liver cancer. Thankfully the tumour was removed and she is well on the road to recovery. Throughout her illness she didn’t go off her food at all and the vets have been amazed at how well she’s bounced back. Knowing she’s been enjoying and eating her food has been a great comfort and I’m sure it’s helped her recovery.

Very upsetting !

Dissatisfied and disappointed dangerous feeding guidelines to the fact our young dog lost 5kg within the month , we asked for help only to see that the quantity of the food was doubled on the app ?????? which was ridiculous and extremely pricey as the dog food had doubled due to the miscalculations that butternut had made , this was

extremely upsetting to think we had starved our dog at the hands of Butternut , they did nothing what so ever to rectify this problem not even an attempt of an apology however once cancelled was asked if would like a 25% discount if we resume to Account after we cancelled ! Very dissatisfied

Fantastic company and products

Our dog loves the pouches and treats. When we go to get a pouch she gets very excited and scoffs the lot.

Love that you get text message before next delivery due and allows you to update / delay etc before despatch date.

Never had any issues with delivery, food always well packed and frozen on arrival. We use the 125g pouches rather than the larger pouches.

Great food, terrible app

We have fed our dogs on raw for about 10 years, but have moved to cooked for various reasons and Butternut has great recipes. My issue is with the app, which is only available for phone yet doesn’t seem to fit the phone screen (button text on 2 lines and a confirmation pop up that you can’t click because it drops down, hiding the buttons, so you can’t click them).

Also, I’m finding it really hard to get the right quantity of food. Why can’t I just say how much I want and when? Our oldest dog has a medical issue which means she consumes much more food than Butternut have worked out for her, while our youngest needs less than they say. 2 girls, 8 years apart in age, and they set their needs the same. I should be able to set it to whatever I want.

I want a 28 day delivery, but I have to keep moving it to get the set-in-stone quantities delivered before the food runs out, or before we have a massive stockpile.

Please, BB, I can add. Please let me just pick how many packets of whatever size to be delivered on what ever schedule and stop trying to work it out for me.

Amazing

Our Shih Tzu Bella has always been fussy. No real interest in eating her food and meal times were hard.

Bella has been on Butternut box for a couple of weeks now. The change is amazing. She is excited to eat her food and her poo is solid and more regular. Lots of food options and it’s easy to amend as and when you need to.

I received a personal video yesterday from the service team for me and Bella which is an amazing touch.

The best food choice for both my dogs

I have an extremely fussy eater Shih Tzu and a constantly hungry Labrador. Trying to find something that they both love, maintains my Labs weight AND deals with a fussy Shih Tzu, has been difficult. Tried them on this and it’s just been amazing. Seeing my little girl eat and enjoy her food instead of pushing the bowl away has been great. I highly recommend splashing out on this to give your dogs the best and healthiest choice. They both drool when they see me preparing their food now. Thanks Butternut, you are a life saver 👍

Great food but totally overpriced and hidden charges

M cockapoo is a fussy eater and was on Bella and Duke for a long time but then started missing meals. I tried Butternut box and she really liked it. The rub with me is that they charge delivery, which no other company do and have now added a surcharge on lots of the flavours which adds to the total cost. I posted about this on their Instagram ad page and received a huge number of replies saying people had cancelled their subscription because of this. There is a lot of competition out there and I hope they listen to the feedback and start to look at incentives for regular customers and also stop the delivery charge.

How dog food should be!

We have had our three doggles on Butternut for the last five years, and we cannot fault it. Our dogs absolutely love it. Honestly, it smells great and is rather tempting to us hoomans. 😂

Butternut themselves are a company others should look up to; every and all customer service interactions to date have been dealt with diligently, swiftly and with genuine care. Point in case we recently lost a dog and updating our meal plan was easy, and to boot, two days later we received a card and flowers in the post from the Butternut team. A beautifully thoughtful gesture, which flawed me to be honest.

It’s not often you experience such good customer aftercare as that. Thank you, Butternut; your efforts don’t go unnoticed, so thank you. 🙏🏼

Immediate change in stomach problems

I have an 8 year old black lab, he has been on top quality kibble all his life, but has suffered with extremely bad wind for years and always eating grass. Although Butternut is quite expensive, we thought we would give it a go. We have seen an immediate change in his wind problem, he has not had any wind from day 2 of eating this, he isn’t drinking as much water and is not constantly looking for grass to eat. He enjoys every bite and licks his bowl clean. I love the variety of flavours that he has and he loves everyone.

Poor service

Hi people if your reading this then please avoid like the plague, I’ve been getting food from butternut since October for my two Great Danes who loved it by the way the food was amazing I’ve been doing over £200 a month in food ,But the deliveries and customer service is unbelievably bad ,only this week I ordered for a Wednesday delivery to be told sorry will be Thursday then will be Saturday then to be told it will be Monday and all you get is sorry sorry sorry it’s absolutely the poorest service I’ve every had . This is NOT the only time I’ve had issues , I’ve had a few delivery issues which is a shame as the product is really good . I would try elsewhere first if you don’t want to keep swapping and changing your dogs food due to butternut not delivering.

Great decision to switch poorly Tilly

An eleven year old whippet taking steroids for a spinal condition combined with pancreatitis / stomach sensitivity is challenging to feed to say the least. Since April she’s lost about 25% of her body weight and looks terribly thin.

Before Butternut Box the only food she was able to handle was wet Chappie. Recommended by vets and it did the job but she wasn’t particularly keen.

Butternut Box, however, has immeasurably improved her quality of life. She absolutely loves it and literally shakes with excitement when I’m putting it in her bowl.

My border terrier, riven with jealously, went on hunger strike until I moved him on to it too.

They love it

Both our dogs have been very fussy eaters since they were puppies. Over the past 3 years we have wasted so much money on dog food through changing food. Butternut came to our attention by accident really; decided to give it a go and haven’t looked back since. Yes, it’s expensive compared to various other foods on the market but they both eat it and nothing is left in the bowls and I think our fur babies are worth it. 🐶🐕‍🦺

Great food

I have a 4 month old cocker spaniel that had been fed on home cooked chicken and vegetables with rice since 9 weeks old, it was beginning to get a bit much making her dinners every couple of days with the hours I was working so I thought I would give butternut box a try. When my first order arrived on opening a pouch for my dog Winni I was amazed to see the quality of ingredients used as I like to know exactly what my dog is eating and they smelled great, there was no transitioning to her new diet and this has not affected her in anyway.

Game changer

My puppy was a super fussy eater when i got him, we tried various different wet and dry foods, both mixed or fed separate and he just wasn’t interested, until i swapped him to butternut box! Now he has a slow feeder bowl because he gobbles it up so fast, more pricy than other foods but you 100% pay for what you get and i love the convenience of deliveries and only having to worry about getting it out the freezer in time for tea! Also love the variety in flavours so he doesn’t get bored, aswell as the vegan and veggie options even though i personally don’t feed those two.

Brilliant food - happy and healthy dogs

We had previously had both of our dogs on a raw diet which they loved. They had both been steadily putting on weight despite our cutting down their portions and exercising more. When I saw an ad for Butternut I decided it was worth giving it a try. There is so much to love about this food from the really convenient packaging, easy to defrost and portion and great recipes. Both dogs love it and have dropped to a healthy weight. They love mealtimes, and always get excited when the delivery arrives every fortnight. Thank you for producing such quality food at a reasonable price.

No more fuss

This really helped my dog in his eating he used to hate any food but butternutbox really helped we started with just the chicken as he was fussy but now he’s eating all the meals accept the vegan ones he’s not so keen lol. I recently put my pup on it he is also obsessed one thing that was annoying is customer love aren’t good and you can’t get a hold of them for dear life which is really a shame I have tried but they don’t respond and the bot chat doesn’t work anymore bit annoying… other all is a good dog brand and defo recommend as long as you don’t need any customer service help…

Best food for my boy and vet agreed

I had a 10 year old rescue dog who was starved previously. He is a foodie. I have tried so many different foods and he was on raw when he was in foster having to put on weight. I tried butternut box since January 2022 and will never try anything else. It’s so easy being able to change what he has and it being sent so we never run out! My boy whenever you say do you want some dinner goes crazy! 360 spins, dancing and jumping around- he didn’t do this before. His poos (sorry) are so much easier to pick up and are solid, no more love puffs (farts) and his coat is in great shape. He has so much more energy and enjoys long walks. When he was losing weight (as we did some training walks of 25 miles) butternut box were brilliant and recommended upping his dinner. He now has a small breakfast and dinner- a very happy Boston!! Thank you so much, so glad I found you. When we saw the vet about him losing weight she asked what food does he eat and when I said butternut box she said they’re one of the best and just tell them he needs extra food! Best food ever

My Ted is a Bedlington Terrier cross and he’s not only a very fussy eater but struggles with quite a lot of food allergies. He’s tried all sorts of different foods including raw, which he hated. Since switching to Butternut he eats his food without fail as soon as the bowl is placed down for him and even tries sniffing round our other dog’s bowl; he’s got no chance there though as Wizzy wuffs it up in the blink of an eye! I wouldn’t swap ever again, Butternut is best in our house!

Multiple Dogs

I took the decision recently to give Butternut a try having 3 dogs one 11 with a few health conditions and two 1 year olds, fit and active. The food they all love but I have got to say the app is a little disappointing as I’d expected to have at least the details of each of their plans available given the questions asked to register and get the right mixture. It’s very basic account info so if you’re looking for a record or app to help, this isn’t the one. Would recommend the food.

Amazing quality food - great app

The food quality of butternut is just amazing, my dogs have never eaten so well, and looks so healthy. I do use this to supplement a dry food, however this end up being really good value for money if you buy a month in advance and doesn’t really add any extra cost to cheaper food brands, but with miles better value for the dog and much better quality food. I would not buy anything else now

Marley is now 10 years old but just as we went into lockdown he started to have stomach problems. Many expensive vet visits and tests later including trying lots of different types of kibble from hyper allergic to low fat made little difference. So we tried him on a mixture of cooked chicken and boiled millet. There was a definite improvement but it’s not a balanced diet and is time consuming to make. We came across Butternut Box at an exhibition and decided to try it. I can honestly say this has been the best decision we have ever made. He absolutely loves the food, no longer has stomach issues and is happy and full of life. What more could you ask for.

I have had a lot off trouble with Bella eating her food I have tried all types off foods from the best raw foods to biscuits-biscuits and meat and she may have a tiny bit off one or just smelling and walking away and not eat nothing at all meal time has never been an exciting time. Some one told me about butternut so i made an order before my order arrived in the afternoon I put down her last bit off raw food in the morning which she turned her nose up to I thought some thing was wrong with her now. Butternut turned up I put half a pouch in her bowl to defrost she stood by the side next to her bowl when it was ready I put it down and she ate the whole lot a clean bowl never seen before. Bentley had stomach/bowel problems since we got him at 12 1/2 weeks, by 5 months he was on 3 tablets a day at 7 months the vet suggested a fresh food diet tried him on chicken and had major problems, found all puppy food had chicken in it so looked on line. Found butternut box and by the time he’d transitioned on to it fully he was down to 2 tablets a day, 2 weeks later 1/2 a tablet twice a day. For the last 5 weeks he’s been off them completely, he loves his food now and is like a hack in the box when he sees me go to the fridge! He’s a completely different dog now. I only feed him butternut box meals, treats for training and biscuits nothing else. Can’t praise it enough.

My Dog Gabriel who is a Pomchi has been fussy about food since I adopted him 5 years ago, constant worry if he’ll eat that day due to being so fussy. I gave butternut a shot and I’m so happy I did, since receiving the first trial box, he’s eaten ever bowl! I can’t tell you how this has made a difference to Gabe and to me. And for the advice to warm up slightly as that really has helped, sicking with butternut from here on in! Great product and it’s made my little Gabriel all that much happier and healthier too! My boy Diesel has been a Butternutter 3years this August & it’s the best move we made. His weight is perfect, his coat is amazing and best of all he just loves meal times. That said,he is a food monster lab but I can see he enjoys all his different recipes rather than just the same boring old kibble. My Hugo has been raw fed since he was a puppy, he’s going to be 8 in July, 6 months ago he started getting really fussy and wasn’t enjoying his raw food anymore. He was also suffering with a bad tummy at least once a week.

I made the decision to try him on Butternut and it’s the best decision I’ve made. He loves his food now, he’s waking me up early morning for breakfast, literally diving on me to get his food ready. I can’t believe the excitement around mealtimes. He also hasn’t had a bad tummy since being in butternut. Thankyou for your amazing food you’ve made my big extremely happy which makes need extremely happy. I love the plans, the only niggle I have is I wish you would do a few more low fat proteins.
