Used to be a Dream, now not so much.
I used to love this app, it created dreamy pictures based on any prompt. But now, the pictures seem to be an internet search of the prompt with am overlay of the art style, rather than the machine taking pictures from all over and generating something new. I preferred it when it was vague, it was beautiful. Furthermore, the pushing of premium is just dystopian. Another great app ruined by greed.

Try before you buy
For me this is something I heavily want to be good for making textures to be used in things like video games, for this purpose it’s very hot or miss and that’s the only reason why it’s not 5 stars. For the price I can’t complain if I were to buy premium and I am considering it heavily. Depending on the purpose you want this for it could be amazing but either way it is certainly worth a try

If I was to write a review on this app back a month or two ago, I would have given it five stars, and in a way, I still will, the AI draws beautiful and stunning images, it can capture very fine details for free, however now with the adds and my lack of a stable income, I am forced to watch add after add, I understand that in order to continue this service, it needs money, however I do not believe an advertisement for a brain dead candy-crush clone every time I press generate is necessary, I could understand it if it was simply one of very few, but it is getting ridiculous, I hope this is simply some sort of bug or coding error, and if this is resolved I shall happily delete this review and write a new one

Lift a cap off of the word censorship like on the Discord
This is a superb app, that is really evolving with its styles and rendering, I’m limited by the censorship of words, eg, muscular, . I can’t even draw a panther in peace of the entry , retry exclamation popping up. I also got a premium invitation to discord and have been locked out… please resolve these issues, in spite of that it’s a great app.
Also could you look into making an offline function that still renders based on the image pool/folder on one’s device..as this will refine the iterations and help the rendering learn the dynamics of the image creation. Cheers , Pongtrometerart

It was ok
It was not as good as many other apps for this proposed purpose, but it did its job. There are quite a few adverts and I couldn’t see the reason for this app being here when there is so much good competition. The things you could create were much more limited than you would first imagine. But, it doesn’t annoy you about upgrading to premium which is quite refreshing and I would like to say well done overall. I would recommend this to slightly younger people interested in this medium.

Incredible, astonishing, magical!!
I’ve heard about these AI art apps, and in truth I still don’t understand how they work.
This being said I wanted to try it out.
A few random words, a thought of the day, even your name. Click the style and let the magic being.
My favourite and most addictive part of this app is the ability to put in your own drawings and then let the app create an interpretation of it. Everytime I thought “oh yeah that’s what I wanted my picture to look like “, the fact just being that the new app generated picture was so much better than what ever I was dreaming up when first putting pen to paper.
This app is phenomenal, I also found that just sitting and generating magnificent creations based off my own tiny sketches would make my imagination run wild , this in turn calmed me down and made me feel at peace . I felt so much happier, calmer and a lot less stressed after watching some of the creations this app can do.
If you have never tried AI art before I beg you to try this . If like me, you will get lost in a world of unbelievable creativity…

Started out with promise and artistic integrity, now it doesn’t work as a free app, fails every time, every time not a single thing, now because that’s how it’s behaving I point blank refuse to pay out, why would I? It works, and then it doesn’t right after they implement the payment model… seriously???

Another app that was good but the developers decided to put profit above creating something amazing.
You’d have to be completely nuts to pay £4.99 a month for premium and without premium the app has gone from brilliant to just annoying.
Like others have said, I’d happily have paid a sensible up front for what was a great app but whoever convinced them to turn to a subscription model at £4.99 a month is an idiot.

The app overall is really good. Only thing that bothers me is when it starts rendering 4 different images and picks one at random, sometimes I see one of the 4 that I absolutely love and then it picks a different one for me and I can’t get the old one back. Would love to have an option to click on one or swipe through all 4 images to pick the best one.

Amazing but..
I’ve already left a review but would like to leave another! I love this app and i’ve managed to get amazing results - I would like to be able to have more crop options as i don’t want to have to crop a square image into the typical iPhone screen size, and I would like to be able to access different folders in my photo library so I can easily locate an image, as it is very tedious scrolling and scrolling to find the image I want to use! Used to be incredible
…until this app went the way all apps seem to go nowadays. Not even an option for a one time purchase; Subscription only. Not to mention, that since this ridiculous subscription system was implemented, a forced wait of anywhere from a second to 10-15 seconds or even more takes place before it begins generating your image, to “queue your request.” It worked perfectly well before money was involved, and I know it was still popular back then too, else freedom of use of the app wouldn’t have been monetised.

I absolutely love this app and the possibilities seem endless until you realise you want an image of another shape.
The only reason I’m giving it the 4 stars is because I’m already finding it limiting becase of the lack of square and landscape options.

I’ve only just downloaded the app and created half a dozen images but am already blown away by the results. The images are all on portrait format. I hope that a future version will have the option to create landscape images. Update Having used the app a lot more, I’m still very impressed. However, I’m still convinced that a landscape format option would be desirable. At present if I create an image from a prompt of say, “city”, the result is often effectively two images, one above the other. A landscape format would be more conducive to a single image.
Update: I’ve just upgraded to the subscription version. The realistic mode is interesting but also a bit disappointing. It starts by generating four or eight variations as thumbnails but gives no opportunity to save them or to select one to be rendered as the final full size image. Often one of the thumbnails is better than the final image.

This app used to be completely free and ad-free. All features could be accessed for paying nothing. However now Wombo has added premium and has locked new content behind that pay wall. And has added a priority queue system to those who pay.
This is only a greedy attempt to make some money after the explosion of AI art.
They’re not adding premium because Dream is too expensive to run, because it’s been free for a long time.
However the app still works great.
The app is still very good and the base templates are good and it still doesn’t take too long to process. So that’s why it’s a 4 star.

Started off great but now ruined by ads
First off this app is great and the results are excellent however since the updates adding a ‘premium’ option prepare for a long and irrelevant ad after the image has been generated. The subscription cost itself isn’t too bad so we’ll done to the developers for not being greedy but why not put the ad on during image generation? This feels like an annoyance to get you to subscribe.
TBH I’m getting fed up with the way apps and software are going with ads or subscription models. Ads are just an annoyance, totally irrelevant and subscriptions are a rip off in the end, just charge a flat price for app and when you have something amazing a year or two later release a new version. Apps come and go and I won’t subscribe to something that’s currently in vogue and that I’ll only use a few times a month. Come on developers let’s get back to charging a decent one off price - I’d happily pay £20-£30 for this as a one off.

This app is truly amazing. I can’t believe it’s free to use! I wanted to pay premium just as a gratitude for the operator of this amazing AI experience. I only wish there were more interactions on the app to the publishers of the artworks as some posts are support-deserving. I would suggest maybe a like button on posts and being able to follow our favorites artists. (Though there is a discord channel to share your art).

How to work it
To those that are saying the create button is greyed out. You have to write a prompt as well as selecting the style and image. A little bit silly to HAVE to write something for it to work (you never had to) but that’s how it’s done. Otherwise great and fun app.

Great app, have spent hours typing in different things and trying different art styles in order to save them to my profile and make it look as neat as possible. Would give this a five star if it had a couple of improvements. It would be amazing if you could add friends and be able to see their artwork on your community feed, with a like and comment feature. I like that you can see different artworks on the community feature but it doesn’t update frequently enough and is usually all by the same people. Still a great app overall but a few minor updates would take it to another level

Prompt button
Hi, so loads of people have said this is an amazing and app and loads of people have said it doesn’t even function and I would like to clear that up for anyone unsure whether to download it or not. This app is really really good but the reason some people are saying the creat button isn’t working is because you have to choose an image, an artwork style AND write a prompt.
The button for that is quite easy to miss especially for eager first timers who want to immediately click the big bright pictures and I missed it at first too. The create button will not work until the prompt is filled.
As for the app itself it is REALLY REALLY really good and I defo recommend, the only reason this isn’t full stars is because I think that instead of just being greyed out there should be a notification or something to tell you to fill in the prompt or at least it should be made more obvious it see!!

A really simple idea now that we have the AI technology to make it possible, yet this app is absolutely brilliant! So much room for quick and easy creativity and so many endless opportunities for what it is. I wish I didn’t have to pay to be able to experience the full version! But as long as there still a feee version (with minimal ads, I might add), I’m very happy 😄 ideas for the future since you can buy prints which is really cool, would be to branch out to other products, and namely phone cases!! Which I think would be really cool and very popular because of how personalised that would allow them to be 😊

This app is incredible u write let’s say fox orange fire choose your theme and boom u have ur self an amazing piece of art work . This app is amazing i totally recommend it ! The only issue is that if u don’t sign in u can’t save ur art work so I have to screen shot it but then that takes up all my photo storage! Please add so u can save . Thx :)

The confusion?
I firstly made a picture and it turned out amazing but when I tried to do it again it just wouldn’t work. I selected a theme and a photo from my camera roll but the create button wouldn’t turn into the darker purple colour? App is awesome but one problem
I think it’s amazing how you can create images and home screens however, and correct me if I am wrong, you cannot change the measurements of the image. This means the home Screen it has fat black lines or is zoomed in. This is okay for some images but for many it is annoying for it to be zoomed in. Other than that it’s amazing and the best AI image app here.

This app is so unlike others and actually does what is advertised ,my grandfather died last year so I took a photo of him and placed it into the app ,the result was beautiful and I’m beyond I love with it

I download this game seeing if I could make a picture of my dead dog I wanted a picture off us for my Lock Screen but when I finally downloaded the app It keep freezing and then when I got the picture of us 2 and it loaded after 5 minutes it would not take me passed the next step and I tried 5 more times and I did everything I could but this was my last resort I thought it would be a good app but I was disappointed

Account issues
Hello, you really need to fix these major issues. When you open the app, I have found that it takes a long time to load. Then, it pops up either saying you need to retry or that you need to sign out? When clicking sign out you can then access the app, but cannot sign into an account. When retrying, it takes a while but then let’s you in. Please fix these issues because I would really like an account to save my great photos your app has produced 👍🏽 Thank you for hearing me out and please fix this. i saw this trend on tiktok and was excited to try it out on this app... i opened the app and i clicked on a photo from my camera roll and the art style i wanted and then it wouldn’t let me create anything. it keeps kicking me out of the app so i though ok maybe i need to create an account. i entered my email and a password and it kicked me out of the app AGAIN. i clicked back on the app and it came up with and error saying my account doesn’t exist or something so i pressed okay and tried again and again. if u have patience maybe this app is for you but for me it was very frustrating and does not work.

It is just me or..?
i don’t know if it’s just me, but i’m not able to create an artwork. it won’t let me tap on create and says it’s unable to refresh the feed. if i try and make a picture, it doesn’t let me press create to make one. it will give me all the options to do it but i’m unable to press create as it’s just a translucent purple as if i can’t tap on it. i don't know why this is happening and if it’s just me but if you could help me out that would be much appreciated!

Still isn’t working
I have tried everything for this app to work but it just won’t. I have accepted the verification email and everything but it says that there is a problem and just won’t work and keeps telling me to retry but I can’t do anything. Extremely disappointed because this app looks very good but it is currently screwed up right now

As someone who can’t draw
… this app is great for fun and has users beyond just making NFTs lol.
Combined with other imaging apps you can create great album artwork, which is what i do. I can’t draw, don’t know photoshop etc, so this is fantastic for getting content made

Fantastic
I don’t often write reviews but this is the most fun app. I’ve spent far too many hours generating pictures trying to find the best keywords to make amazing art. ‘Rainbow’ seems to get added to most of mine. Haha. I’ve made a folder in my photos called Wallpaper that I put the best ones in and I am using a shortcut on my iPhone and iPad to change the wallpaper on them every time I charge them. Love it!!!!

Ordered as a bit of fun, liked it!
I ordered as a bit of fun to see what wacky things it would come up with and pleasantly surprised by how well some of the artworks worked out. Also, like it because it helps visualise scenery etc for different projects. I like that it is free too, my only complaint is that there is no landscape option.

Absolutely brilliant
I don’t often write reviews on iStore… but this I had to. I downloaded another AI app I found that was clumbersome, not to mention cost £16 a month. At the time I thought maybe for that price it was worth it but it was not. Starryi or whatever it was called generated poor artworks and cost far too much. After a few tries I uninstalled and cancelled the subscription. Decided to try again and randomly came across this app. Figured I’d give it a try and I do not regret it. Whatever software they use seems to understand the request far more officiently and generates some high quality pieces. And it is beyond nice to have it free. I really wanted some inspiring artworks but didn’t want to spend money (that I technically don’t have) so to have someone design an app that is high quality and doesn’t cost is absolutely amazing, thank you so much.
My only suggestion would be, as others have said, to offer a landscape option. Also, maybe an option to evolve a particular piece if we want to see how it could improve without losing the original design. Or loading a piece of art or photo as a reference maybe?

Art or science
An interesting app that interprets words as pictures. Mostly attractive and interesting, sometimes baffling images are created. I would like some control over the final image and that it might correspond more closely to the written prompt but that would imply a learning process outside the scope of the app. In a word, the app is FUN!

Perfect
A wonderful app. Can really use your imagination and produce some stunning pieces of art. Even better no ads, paywalls or in app purchases - but has the option to buy a print which I may well do when I want something in a particular specification!

Was good but needs work
The early version of this app was brilliant for creating art and generating ideas. Aside from the screen size being too small, I had no complaints.
Now, the latest update has the app now at full iPad screen size which is good. However the art styles options are gone and the app just freezes before you can start creating anything. Needs an update patch.

Superb!
This app has had me lost for hours at a time creating surreal, other worldly images. It’s fascinating watching the works come together…almost therapeutic.
The only way to make the app better (only my opinion) would be a landscape option as others have mentioned already. And maybe a way to add a main “source” image reference to work from. Otherwise the team behind this have created something utterly brilliant. Great job!

Incredible App
I’ve spent way too long in the past day trying out random words and different combinations to generate intriguing images. My only suggestion would be to add a feature where you can step back a few iterations as it can be a bit annoying to watch it create an ideal image only to go on and ruin it by adding a bit too much like an extra pair of eyes to a face.

My Personal Review
I like the app because some images created from words are beautiful but some images really scared me and made me uncomfortable so I deleted the app but if you need inspiration for something try this app, i would 100% recommend for people with ‘Art Block’!

Good but breaks sometimes
Usually when I load the application up it works and it's amazing but sometimes it doesn't work and it gives me a pop up which either reads,"Can't generate art." or "Failed to fetch user art gallery" which frustrates me because I have loads of art work in my gallery and then it all disappears. You guys really need to fix this, but other than that it's a good game 👍

Amazing!
I have never written a review for any app before but this app is honestly astoundingly brilliant. For a start you can use the AI to make completely custom images using key words and you can chose through a bunch of image styles or you can leave the style blank. My favourite style is probably the Synthwave style but all of them are great. I can’t believe that the app is FREE! I would 100% charge money if I was the developer of this app. I promise after downloading this app you will have so much fun with it! I have just been chatting with my friends coming up with cool ideas for what kind of images to create. When I used the keywords “Steampunk City” and used the basic style it generated some amazing images then I just tapped the download as background image and now it is my unique 1 of 1 phone background that all my friends compliment! So if you have not downloaded this app yet then what are you waiting for?

Never been more impressed by an app
This app is completely ridiculous. It feels like professional software I should have paid hundreds for, there is literally zero adds and every time I generate an artwork it’s completely unique, even with identical prompts. Thank you so much for creating this and making it free!

Absolutely Amazing
I’m seriously addicted to this app, generating art all day long. It’s beyond incredible how good some of these turn out. Props the devs, and to let everyone have it for free as well is crazy!
I’m going to be using some of the art for custom MTG cards to play with my friends :)

Insanely cool!
Amazing way to generate forms and lighting conditions for inspiration, hope to see a native iPad version with landscape format option soon…? Would happily pay for the option to remove branding frame and have access to additional style themes

Wonderful!
I’m a writer, so I’m imagining these images as book covers. When I’ve put the titles of my books in, some of the images have been better than my original covers! I’ve been reading through the T and Cs, trying to discover how I can use a WOMBO cover for my next book. I can’t work it out, but anyway, whether you’re using this app for fun or for a project, it’s fantastic. Beautiful, imaginative, and fun, and you can lose yourself in it for hours.

Endlessly fascinating
I've been putting the lyrics of my favourite band into this thing, and the atmospheric images it creates are amazing.
I would really love to see the ability to share the "phone wallpaper" version of the image from the gallery and the ability to link people to my gallery.
That said, one of the best free apps I've downloaded in years.
