Buggy as heck

PvP does not work because of a crash bug that’s been affecting the game for weeks.

The communication from the company has been horrible around the game’s issues.

It’s unfortunate to see Blizzard fall to these depths, because this game has potential.

Good when you can actually get on

Every time there is an update, I find that there is a problem when trying to load up the game. I haven't been able to get on the game for a couple of days now, it just seems to black screen. Tried all the tricks to try and fix. The game itself though is very good and enjoyable

Broken app no longer functions as it should

The app is laggy, broken and doesn’t respond as it should do. Nothing about this app is good anymore, I have requested a full refund for all purchases made as it’s a waste of time and money. There’s been huge problems with PVP for myself since 26th January and I can’t stand it no more. The developers don’t care about this game or its players and that’s sad. They are money hungry still putting out deals on in the in game shop even though the game doesn’t work as intended. I give up, give me my money back please.

Unable to log in

When I try to log in with my battle.net account it requires I use the Authenticator app to do the login. When I install the Authenticator app, that also requires me to use the Authenticator app to log in.

Wish I could give this game a try, but sadly cannot.

Bug update

Since the update and my previous review, the game loads after crashing now whereas before it was getting stuck on 50% but I still can’t play PVP.

Standard Bliz Money Grab - pay to win

Nice graphics, engine and gameplay.

You get leaders/mobs to approx lvl12 and then the paywall hits.

No gameplay way to get reasonable progression, which of course you can pay plenty to get past the ‘inconvenience’.

Shame as the core game is good and they should just charge a one off fee for the game. But, as with most of blizzard games now, they build for some whales who have more money than sense.

Money for cosmetics is one thing, but pay to win is another.

Great game if only you could play it.

Paid for lots of extras, still get chucked out of most PvP matches I queue for instantly, then get recycled through 50% loading and blizzard black/gold screen. Please can you actual fix it so it’s playable.

Latest Update Causing Crashes

The latest update repeatedly crashes my game if I try and use play more than one PvP match. Once it crashes, the game refuses to load for at least half an hour. Very frustrating.

PvP bug is annoying

Overall a great game I’ve collected all available minis and leaders. Completed all areas on normal, just working my way through heroic and the pvp ranks, which brings me to a new bug I’ve come across a few times. It great when you’re appointed is locked out snd can’t play minis, but when it happpens to you, all you can do is watch.

Apart from that and the occasional crash or having to restart the app it’s very good addictive game, I’ve played it almost every day since launch.

Game has a great engine and beautiful visuals. Some strategic depth and engaging mechanics. However. Game starts to get very grindy and push you towards spending more and more money to progress through the little amount of content it has.

And the amount of stability issues this game has… I’ve never seen a game crash this much. You will be stuck in loading screens, game will randoy restart or close while you are in the middle of a match. PVP has been broken for weeks with no fix or even communication from the development team.

The game had promise. But it is let down by predatory monetization and lack of development resources. Shame.

I started to play this game and was really enjoying it. The game is fine for the generic map but as soon as you try to do quests or pvp the game crashes. Improvement

Decent game for blizzard and could be enjoyable provided they keep the updates coming. The main campaign is ok and the packs that open up to buy early game and along the way are decent and cheap but in order to progress steadily and not have to do 30 quests a day (daily side content for exp) F2P it drops off rather quickly if your not spending a few £ here and there. I would still consider the game F2P friendly casually.

PVP needs improving as there’s a hand full of minis that MUST be in your deck to stay competitive at the higher brackets and it could seriously do with a shake up. I think anyone with a bit of time to waste will enjoy this mode in bite sized chunks.

The S.A.F.E Pilot character is the most annoying thing Iv ever seen in a game if your not a fan of the character style and pushing woke ideology. Its in every deck for PVP and PVE because of how good it is and all your opponents play it and its the narrator for all of the main story. This becomes incredibly boring after a short period. It would be great to see more WOW characters from different factions have equal opportunity for this rather than just be one singular character throughout the entire game.

I think this game could stick around for a long time after more characters and leaders are added and adding faction focused buffs such as an entire deck of undead characters get X amount of Hp, movement speed, attack speed etc or even a collection of one of each faction could add that touch of complexity and strategy the game is just missing but all the ingredients are there for something great!

Beware the auto living bomb

It’s a fun game. But if you ever get a squad together too early that’s going to steamroll the level the game just auto living bombs you. This stops as the timer ticks down. I get that they’re trying to make it seem more challenging by preventing quick wins, but it just makes it very meh.

Fun but buggy

When a match ends, the app closes. It doesn’t happen all the time but it didn’t start doing it until a couple of weeks ago. I lose the combat xp but get the quest xp. It also sometimes freezes upon match completion and the continue button doesn’t work. As far as spending money to progress and keep up, I’m not willing to spend more than £20 a year on a mobile game. I’m here for the lulz, not pay to win.

Close to Perfect on Mac

It's nice to be able to play the game on the bigscreen using my Mac. Not encountered any bugs in many hours of play, and controls are generally not an issue given the nature of the game.

Only thing is the game seems to be locked to 30fps on Mac, meaning it runs half as good as my iphone. If there was a way to change the limit to 60, or even better 120 that would be awesome!

Goblin bombers must be nerfed! Damage reduction, speed reduction, make them a single unit, increase gold cost! Any of these will save this game!! As the title shows. This is the first game where without any announcement or anything they made a mistake and instead of owning it they punished people for it.

I have played many games before, mistakes are fine, but they never punished the playerbase for it.

Above the expectations!

I thought it would be the same map over and over without any other strategies to it, but the different maps and objects make it fun and not repetitive.

Matches are also not long and you can just do one and still feel satisfied. Fits into my life as I don’t have time for WOW anymore but this keeps the nostalgia alive.

The most frustrating game I’ve ever played

I started off really enjoying the game. But unless you’re willing to spend a lot of money, you’ll soon realize how horrifically frustrating the game becomes to progress once you have to complete every mission with all factions. The most impressive thing about this game is how well it manages to disguise its extreme pay to win nature until it finally reveals itself. If you pick the wrong talent for your first Mini, congrats, your deck is broken for the foreseeable future. Unless of course 💰

One star is too many for the game.

It's astonishing that this game still has players and positive reviews, managing to persist without being taken down, and Blizzard has not addressed this bug at all. Although the game is enjoyable, I advise against playing it. After completing each level, there's a consistent issue with claiming rewards. Upon logging in, you're prompted to claim rewards, but upon selecting it, an error occurs, rendering the game unresponsive. I simply want to continue playing without concerning myself with rewards, but skipping is not an option. I've attempted to resolve the problem by reinstalling the game several times, but it seems futile. I'm unsure if the previously accumulated information is still retained.

Good game, but incredibly buggy

The game mechanics are fun and it is only moderately P2W, but the amount of buggs is unacceptable. You will be kicked out of the game 1 out of 3 matches, what will require you to have to reload the game in order to get to the main menu and then reload again in order to get to the relevant stage (and you can then get another error that will require you to sit through another 2 loading screens).

Blizzard has no intention of fixing this, as it unfortunately does not impact the most important aspect of the game for them which is the shop.

It can get frustrating to have to wait 3 minutes in order to play a 45 seconds stage…

Slow and buggy

Game melts my iPhone 13 and constantly crashes. The “continue” button after every match needs to be pressed 20+ times or wait 10+ seconds before it responds, loading screens are common after nearly everything and the game itself is time gated to push you to spend money with the only other alternative to do weeks of grinding at their pace not your own.

Grind or Pay to win

The title says it all. It’s good fun for the first few hours, with solo play being fun and interesting up until around 50. Then you need to start levelling your collection more.

You can do this by replaying earlier missions *extensively*, or handing over your wallet. Sure, PvP is also an option, but if you’re not playing one of a handful of builds then you’re in for a bad time. And woe betide anyone running up against a player with upgrades (oh yes, it happens regularly) unless you’re sinking significant time or money into getting upgrades too. The monetisation isn’t in small sums either, with costs beyond the basics climbing rapidly into the realms of predatory.

Overall, I’ve played for nearly three weeks. The first few days were fun, but it’s a game designed to hook players in and squeeze as much cash as they can out of you before you realise there’s always someone willing to spend more.

The game has a wall in both PvE and PvP quite early on. PvP is the worst, after ranking up once you’ll start getting paired with players who have fully upgraded multiple minis, which means spending probably £100+

There’s no way to spend a sensible amount of money and enjoy this game. Worse it tries to trick you with the asinine ‘legendary value’ nonsense on packs that barely improve your collection. Don’t waste your time or money on this garbage.

Good, but could be better

I just completed the normal campaign - glad I picked Rumble again after initially dropping it. Gameplay is engaging, with short matches, units, bosses and battle arenas are good interpretations of their Warcraft 3 / WoW equivalents. Artstyle is too childish for me, even more than Hearthstone’s. Campaign gets too difficult too early - about halfway (level 7-8), unless you are lucky/prescient with troops and leader selection. Would be better if such level of difficulty, requiring noticeable grinding and/or in-game purchases started around 2-3 last zones. Some technical issues - long loading times, buttons not working, dungeons bugging out, but nothing critical happened for me.

Looking at level requirements for the latter stages of the heroic campaign, and their increasingly absurd exp/gold/energy tresholds, I’ll probably drop it now. Still, was good fun while it lasted. 4/5

Constant crashing

Game crashes constantly, have to wait ten minutes; log back in; crash again… literally all day long!

I love Warcraft in general, including flagship Wow, played all Blizz games since W2/3 through SC1/2 - they have great gamestoeies behind their games but they sure as hell do not know how to make a mobile game that actually works!

Very disappointing, was looking forward to this game but alas, years of waiting resulted merely in a higher blood pressure count…

Decent Warcraft game

I must say I am surprised in a positive way. Love Warcraft 3 lore (not a wow fan). The game is enjoyable, fun, entertaining. Graphics are amazing, gameplay seems solid. I love that you can always play compared to other games with timers and lives etc. Even monetisation is okay so far - no xp walls, no need to buy everything, no FOMO at the moment. I want to say this is a fantastic product, developers took their time to deliver.

I want to finalise my review with some positives and places to improve.

+ tons of activities to do

+ great variety of play style

+ lots of different talents to get

+ amazing graphics

+ easy to setup

+ monetisation is decent compared to other games

- highly addictive

- after a while my phone gets hot

- after some time I cannot carry on by simply press a button, have to wait for a few seconds (needs a restart in the end)

- add a confirm button in the store to prevent accidental purchase

- sometimes as I am loading a map I get a crash message and the game restarts itself

Game Crashes A Lot on iPad Mini 5

Really enjoying the game. They’ve been diligent ensuring that you never lose progress on a crash. But I am getting a bomb out every twenty minutes. Plenty of space, nothing else running, full charge on good Wi-Fi. It’s new so expect something to not quite be right, so here’s my feedback. Game is brilliant otherwise if you’re a Warcraft universe fan 👌

Help and support hangs, literally forever. Four days I’ve tried logging a support ticket and every day it just blinks yellow on the submit button.

Game breaking bug. Progress lost

This was a fun game until a game breaking bug stops progression. Sigils are required to progress but during the Arc Light feature you don’t gain the sigils and therefore don’t unlock later areas. I was on 43 sigils needing 44 to progress with no way to unlock. Others on Reddit and blizzard forums have the same experience with no solution

Logged out to see if that would work, upon re-log it started a new game so progress, unlocks and in app purchases have been reset. Will be requesting a refund as no solution to log back in to old account even after a fresh install

Actually not that bad!

If you’re a fan of WoW, this scratches that itch whilst you’re out and about. Just wish this was actually a real table top game with minis though! Blizzard if you’re reading this, get onto a tabletop game already!

Needs a lot of work

Overall could be great but it needs a lot of work! Overall feel is just sluggish and not very smooth between screens. PVP matchmaking is a joke getting put against players who are way above where your at there is just no point in trying and the obvious issue of pay to win is so obvious already. The gameplay itself is actually good and the concept is nice but again the polish is not there feels very rushed.

Slow, buggy, unfinished, expensive

First, clearly not tested or ready for release, typical blizzard. Next we have the pay wall, around level 8-10 on your units you hit that wall, xp ramp up per level vs enemy scaling makes progress less than a crawl, the game is designed to make levelling faster for people who pay a LOT through collection bonus, without it …. Don’t bother, 10 xp for a match where you need 640 for one level at 10, that will only get worse. Enemy scaling also makes it feel like you are penalised for progress because enemies become far more powerful than you despite being slightly lower level unless you counter this with hefty rmt. Did I mention the regular crashing and bugs? I also spend more time in loading screens than I feel that I do in the game. Graphics jagged and glitches half the time, particularly in “cutscenes”, despite being on an iPad Pro.

The game concept is fun and mayyyyyybe with a lot of bug fixing and a hefty change to the levelling system or some new ways to grind it could be remotely fun after level 10, but at present once you have finished your capped quests (20 a day which takes maybe 30 minutes) it’s pvp or nothing, not everyone enjoys pvp.

Fantastic Rendition into the Warcraft Series!

Warcraft for me has been a childhood game for the longest time! Im always happy to receive a new experience captivated by the World of Warcraft Franchise and Rumble does just that. It allows for me to use some of my favourite characters in a battleground-esque manner and i get to enjoy watching the combat from an eagle eye point of view!

Having this, Hearthstone and WoW keeps me occupied in my spare time!

Game is slow…

problem: After some time, somewhere over an hour, even if my device(iPhone 14Pro Max and very good internet speed) is capable of playing the game and my device does not heat up, etc., when I finish a battle, either take PVE or PVP, when the continue button appears, although the button is pressable, the game crashes there for about 1 minute. If you could address my problem for a bugfix. It is not possible for something like this to happen in 2023 after investing more than $60 in the game. I would like to add that I deleted the game and reinstalled it, this problem still occurs. Im sure im not the only one w this problem. Please fix it before i delete the game.

A bit unbalanced

Like many have said, great to start off but soon it becomes impossible to progress.. Paid for 3 upgrades but makes no difference.. So had a look at PvP and despite being right at the start with less than 500 honour I’m facing opponents who have the PvP leader unlocked at 10,000.. Feels like such a shame as it could have been so much fun, but the old Blizzard playability factor is missing due to the paywall..

Great game, small issues.

So while the game play is great and what I have done has been brilliant. The only issues I have is when doing certain quests on trying to get into the dungeon the game crashes. Outside of this game runs smoothly and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my gameplay.

Another Blizzard money grab…

Really wanted to like this. Got really into it first few nights! Loved the blizzard nostalgia and memories and goofs from the World of Warcraft days. But as with most of these games you soon hit a wall where spending money is the only ‘sane’ way to progress and keep up. Sure you can be a ‘free to play’ player if you wanna spend hours/days/weeks grinding out your team. But why not just pay a quick fee and the magic is done for you. It even has deals that come out that seem really great, you buy them, then they release and even better one so you SPEND MORE, then they release better deals again, and when you don’t fall for their trick, they release worse deals to make the other ones seem like more value so you want to buy them even though you regret the last! I know it’s confusing but I’ve never seen more blatant mind/money manipulation in my life. I wish blizzard could just come up with something with a great fair system that isn’t trying to rob you of every penny you have. Just like Hearthstone became… Very sad. I’ll update this review if I see some serious changes in their greedy system.

This game is a lot of fun but would definitely benefit from implementing 1v1 with friends, being able to invite to guild rather than request only and more ways to earn gold for troops other than surges.

Okay, buts it’s a pay to win

Being a massive wow fan since 06 I was looking forward to a mobile game, seeing monsters and heroes I know and love

At first the game was great, lvl 1-9 felt good, some challenges but overall a good experience

Unfortunately as other reviews state level 10 is roughly when the massive paywall hits you, I’m fighting other pve battles and gone from comfortably winning to getting destroyed every match, and that even when I’m confidently controlling the mines gold supply, how the enemy is able to spawn 8 minion strong battering walls is impossible

But I persevered, purchased a few cool power ups with real money and I was able to progress a level or two before the same issues once again hit me, much to my disappointment

Also there is no reliable way to level up the troops and heroes you want, it is all chance based, you will often find yourself levelling up troops and heroes that you will never used, but are forced to just to get passed the screen, on the main window a conveyor belt of purchasable upgrades from in game currency are available, which is great if the ones you want are one there, and most the time they are not so you are forced to spend in game gold on upgrades you won’t ever use just to have the conveyor belt refresh in hope you get what you can use

Good Game But Unplayable

I want to start by saying that this game, to my surprise, is good and fun to play. I’m still in the early days so it’s possible that it has a paywall down the line but so far very fun and enjoyable with no stamina limit, so I’m free to play as long as I want.

However, there is one MAJOR problem with this game. It looks like it is an apple only problem but when you play on a map you’ve previously completed (either quest, event, etc) the game will fill the loading bar up and the crash, it will also crash upon completing the level. This is really ruined my interest in playing it.

Undead FTW!

Terrific tower defence game. Very addictive. However, I find some levels to be extremely difficult. Not sure if the game’s unbalanced or I don’t have the right characters. Either fix the unbalancing or have a hint system where the game suggests which characters are the best to choose from for a specific level.

Needs another year before release

Core gameplay is good and enjoyable, however this really needed another year to cool before they released it. Game crashes constantly in pve, in pvp it stutters and freezes all over the place. The matchmaking as well is awful, the game either puts you against people well under your rank, or well above. Don’t get confused thinking this game is skills based. It’s resource management at its finest, resources are limited and if you make the wrong upgrades or purchases you’ll be punished for it later.

Requires INTERNET TO PLAY ?!?

im really tired of games not being able to play while offline, i hate this new norm big corporations are inputting, im sorry but i dont want a mobile game that cant play normally after i have fully downloaded it. I know you guys want to run your in game store so you can make money but if it doesn't have an offline mode its not worth it as a mobile game.

There is absolutely NO reason for this game to require internet to play other than the optional PVP and the optional store.

Game is fun but has game bricking bugs

The game is fun to play, doesn’t get you too addicted and has some fun depth in all sorts of places. However, there is a bug that bricks your progression, and has existed for months. Developers seem to have no answers or help whatsoever, and the soonest we might get help is next patch. At which point you will significantly be behind other players. Sad I spent money on a game that has no respect for helping players who experience game breaking bugs that they know exist but refuse to fix

Good game, clearly not tested thoroughly enough for certain devices.

I genuinely enjoy the gameplay and the nostalgia the game provides being a long time Warcraft fanatic. Unfortunately this game from my experience is unacceptable in regards to loading times and the game crashing consistently. I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps recommended by Blizzard to still get no joy. I have also tried the game on multiple devices and different internet connections. In its current state I will not be playing rumble for long (which is a shame) and certainly wouldn’t be spending any money on it.

I am happy to revise my position if Blizzard are able to move quickly enough in making their game at least stable enough to play consistently.

Challenging but fun 🤩

As the title says it is challenging but fun and easy to learn. The fact that you can pick up and play for 5 mins if your bored or you can literally play this for hours. It’s still early days but I can’t see any need at the moment to purchase any in game coins however it would give you a bit of a boost but you can easily earn these rewards whilst playing. This would be 5 stars but I’ve only been playing for a day this may change as I progress in game.

So far so good this is a nice little boredom badger 👍🏻

Game is good, why no offline?

Game is fun, plays well other than a few bugs but it’s very new so to be expected. It’s nice it has a campaign mode so you can play it when you don’t have an internet connection, oh wait you still need to connect and maintain a good connection to play pve. Disappointing on that front.

Crashing issues

I’ve been happy with rumble’s release since I stumbled upon crashing issues when you jump into a pvp match, quests and sometimes when you defeat the final boss from world maps. I have an IPhone 8 with the latest IOS that exceeds the game requirements as well as I have tried uninstalling and installing the game numerous times and it still lacks to resolve the issue so until that’s fixed, I have to call it quits

Enjoying it so far but abit unbalanced; you can have a real easy level and then have an impossible one. It’s also very buggy, constantly crashing with a general error and it doesn’t like switching between apps because it will restart again.

Good game, but full of glitches

Overall, this game is fun and addictive. I like why they tried to do with this game, but you can tell there are many things to consider and evaluate in the future (i.e. how is it possible that, in pvp matches you are not given 10 seconds or so to check the map?). Besides what I already mention, the main issue here is that the game reboots itself many times during a gaming session (literally, it kicks me out and it has to load again), and other times does not even let you replay a match (despite the option is there), just kicks you to the main screen. Again, it’s a good game but they need to fix these bugs, and then reconsider the gaming experience

Great, heavily recommended

I think it is an amazing game, especially after playing WOW for many years. The only thing that I can think of that would count as a complaint is the limited activities you can do at a low level and the repetition of it. I don’t want this to bring down the review so I am still giving a 5 stars and I understand that every game has it and the game has to start somewhere it is just something I want to say for new players and they don’t find it so boring as it does end eventually. Take my review with a pinch of salt and remember this is a great game, one of the best on mobile 🙂

Better than I expected!

I only downloaded this game for the WoW in game bonus, but I think I’m gonna actually play this now. Fun tower defence, and the first zone did not ask me to purchase a single in game item. I’m sure it’s there, but with this restraint they’ve made a better first impression than most free to play mobile games.

Great fun to past time!

I’m a longtime Wow player and thought I’d down load this to play when out and about. Glad I did, as this is a great game to just pickup and play if you’re bored for a minute or two.

The ability to pause and carry on where you left off is a great feature.

A new chapter begins!

I have been waiting patiently for another wow themed game to be released & a mobile version is just what the community needed! Fun to play & many different characters to unlock I for one will be playing Rumble for the time I am away from the real game. Huzzah!!
