This isnt a remaster

The origonal is completely the same as the remastered version with only the difference being that it is getting new updates a massive waste of exitement only to get dissapoined from the already pay to win game getting more money

Good but could do with some extra touches

First thank you for producing this game, it is a fun alternative to these typical games and it is interesting with the combos and research. I like the character designs and the general gameplay.

There are just a few things that I think need improving which are around user experience:

Sort Options: This one is a major issue for me in playing the game. To recycle and upgrade effectively, it would really be helpful to be able to sort by volume / quantity and alternative layout options to viewing the cards rather than just a wheel which resets when a card is recycled or upgraded.

Filter Options: A lot of the card deck views include cards which I don’t own yet so are irrelevant for some of things I want to do. Being able to add a filter option to only show owned cards would be great for UX.

Research Options: Again, it’s just a little frustrating with the auto reset of view to the start and not being able to filter out.

Mixed emotions

The Game itself has a simplistic but addictive gameplay loop which is easy to understand and allows new players to quickly start playing the game and having fun…

Atleast for the first 5 minutes. It takes very little time to realise the entire game is pay to win, from incredibly small payouts from every boss to arena and portal being impossible for low-mid level players to compete in.

Most your early days will be spent waiting for energy to grind through the incredibly easy first 90% of the first map just for minuscule gold payouts and incredibly low chance drop rates for anything but terrible common bronze cards. The next few weeks is spent attempting to research as many combos as possible which is an incredible slow and partially useless process as 95% of the combos are dreadful with many combos being worse than the original cards.

These combos however are imperative to learn, as without them you will never be able to play the game any further as bosses start to have exclusively gold or higher cards which do double the damage and have double the defence of every card in your pack. This is where you are forced, not to pay to win, but to pay to play, as in 4 weeks I’ve amassed 7 more gems than I started with, allowing me to purchase none of the store packs. Which are all vastly over priced and underwhelming weeks of grinding gems can result in maybe having a decent card. Which you need many of to be able to compete in arena PvP and portal.

The game is very clearly designed specifically to force you into spending your real money if you actually want to play the game

Conclusion = DO NOT BE FOOLED this is not a full free game, this game is basically a demo. Comparable to games such as destiny where with intense grinding you can access 20% of the game with the base price and the other 80% of the game requires your money to be pumped into it. Which is likely to only become an even larger problem as the game is updated with its many different packs which all cost weeks to months worth of grinding for gems just to have a chance at possibly getting a useful card from said pack. It is highly possible you could spend months heavily grinding every energy that you gain and never get a useful card and still be stuck at 0 stars in arena and 0 portal wins.

Cash grab

One of the most pay2win games on the entire App Store. You can pay hundreds if not thousands to skip months if not years of grind. Clearly the remaster was released without any new content so they could charge the same amount for packs in game without doing much work.

Great game

Played for 3 days straight and I love it. However 16 energy is not enough when it costs 5 to fight. I now can play for around 4 mins before I have to wait an hour(s) for it to recharge. Please make this quicker or increase the energy! Thanks

perfect game

slight bug tho currently if you win a game and get a card as the reward u do not actually receive the card, this has happened everytime since i started the game and i have lost a massive amount of dust that could have been from never receiving the card as the reward

Honest review of 3-5 days

It’s a good game , slowly learn combos and new cards . However you find that you’ll be waiting awhile not for the combos but for stamina too. It’s free but you’ll have access to speed ups and more options if you spend money . But wait , if your having a deck of weak cards you can spend more money to get better cards although it takes along time to unlock new ones and upgrade them .

Missing some things

This game was great originally when I first started playing. And I spend a lot of time and even some money on the game. However the old game and my save is now more for some reason. So that is lost, otherwise I’d have transferred it over. I’m a little saddened that when I saw the remastered version was just a graphical update and not some new features that I wasn’t sure wether I wanted to start all over again or not. However is did start again, and it’s still the basic game I enjoyed but graphically better and that’s it. My o key gripe is that I’m unable to purchase gems due to a bug where it says my credit card details are out of date and proceeds to put me through it. But however I can make purchases on other games without issue. So that needs looking into asap. Or at least point me in the direction of resolving the issue. So I’ll stick to 3 stars until then!

fun but could be easily improved

love this game, i really do and have since i was really young , so was excited to move my account into the remastered, though the same issues persist. make recycling easy with an auto button that axes low level unneeded duplicates, with a button to choose how many copies you want to keep (3 in a deck, but maybe someone wants to keep 5 to research that card all at once) and on that note, deck building. introduce fan made decks, an easier deck building mechanic, maybe some UI that shows the number of combinations youve unlocked with each card while deckbuilding - separating bronze silver gold etc. and introduce easy mechanics to see which cards combine well, maybe you can tap a card in deckbuilding and it's combinations have an aura the same colour as the rarity of their combo. (bronze silver gold etc). ive never paid money for the freemium parts of this series but have always enjoyed and poured time into, this would be a lovely way to fix the difficult mechanics and show some love for the fans

Useless game, even worse than the original. Completely locks you out of things unless you pay, could be a really fun little time waster but instead it’s just irritating and the way it works, you know almost immediately whether the code will allow you to win a battle or not, it’s just horrifyingly coded..

Pure joy

This game is my childhood, I grew up playing this non stop, there’s no game like it and I’m so happy it got a remaster.

Thank you developers for giving me a passion.

I also hope more basic cards get added, that you don’t have to buy.

I strongly recommend playing this and showing it to a friend after some hours of play.
