Very helpful
Gizmo is very useful for making flashcards learning topics you missed or want to know more about with the ai tutor and free to use. The only thing that could be better is a widget for the home screen so that I can remind myself to do the streak like Duolingo.

TERRIBLE APP
firstly the app will randomly not save your cards and hours off progress can easily be lost which is a real pain as there is no way of getting it back.
Secondly there is no option to export the cards to a different app and I’ve emailed the customer service multiple times about this and nothing has been done for months
There are so many bugs like the app randomly crashing and it’s very disruptive.

i can definitely see this being the next amazing app in revision and education but the glitches almost make the app un-useable ESPECIALLY on mobile devices, for example whenever i try to create flash cards it misses out letters i type making the question look confusing when i notice that it’s missed out all the final letters. for example if i wrote “how is romeo portrayed in act 1?” when i get the question it would say “h s rom porays in at 1?” that’s obviously an exaggeration but you can see how annoying this can be. another bug is it changes the answers i wrote like if i wrote an answer as “10k” it changes it to “10,000” like thanks for the correction but it makes it a gamble on what it will be because it picks and chooses when to change it. i love this app and would love to use it more because it’s so motivating and useful but the glitches are just a bit much sometimes that i can’t continue.

I really enjoyed the app at first, but now its slow and buggy. My decks disappear, glitch and highlight words i don’t want highlighted, and sometimes won’t let me use the decks. Please fix this

what is this app?? its so laggy, its so confusing and there is no dark mode. forget trying to revise geography i need to revise how on earth this app even works. now im probably not going to fail geography im a lot better than that but im not getting any more than 70% either courtesy of this app… i spend an hour making flashcards just so im not able to actually revise with them? everytime i try to im not even being tested on what matters

This app is non arguably the best educational app out there. I used this app as my main study tool 2 weeks before my exams and achieved 7 A grades. It is so easy and aesthetically pleasing to use. Strongly recommend!

This app is absolutely amazing- I’m not being funny but I used this app for revising for a chemistry test on Stoichiometry and molar volume etc. and I came out with 100%! Macbook logs me out
on macbook air using chrome browser about every 15 mins of using gizmo ai, chrome logs me out and i need to open a new broswer tab to sign and then this issue repeats.
How do i fix this so i can do my flashcards with ease? im on the most up to date chrome browser and most up to date ios?

Great app, one complaint
Over the summer break I have been using gizmo to revise for my gcses and it’s been very helpful (especially for business, languages and science). My only problem is that the flashcards most of the time get you to fill in one word which isn’t the most useful way to learn the content; it would be 10x more effective if you had to type out most the answer or something of that sort. I also love the AI tutor feature and how the learning is broken down into steps. I would say this is my favourite study app ever

I love it but there are a few things that still need sorting.
The idea and the way the learning on this app works is amazing, I love it so much! However when making flashcards, it glitches and is really difficult to edit the cards or make them at times. Honestly if that wasn’t such a big part of the experience it would have had a 5 star review from me. The app has a lot of potential.

Do not waste your time with this app
At first I thought this app would be useful to make flash cards without wasting time writing them, but the lack of sense with this apps design just makes it harder to make actually useful flash cards. The AI features are basically useless, they are full of bugs and it’s almost impossible to get a good flash card out of the AI scan feature. Overall there are so many annoying bugs and problems that I would not recommend this app.

very very expensive for premium service. (compared to other revision apps like Quizlet).
I get that the app has a comp advantage with a subjectively better AI help tool that does lots of things, but realistically, mostly students are using this, and the price is, for me anyway, quite unjustifiable.
Great app though, you should download it, but it kind of operates like Duolingo, as in it gives you 15 hearts a day.
Although, you can earn hearts by continuous success in practice mode.

Simply frustrating, especially the night before an exam. It’s just not as smart and useful as it seemed to be. The magic import generates nonsense and the questions are dumb. I thought i found a gem but this is just disappointing. Not to mention the lack of flexibility along with the limited number of hearts. At this point quizlet is worth buying.
Honestly surprised how this is not rated lower.

INCREDIBLE.
This app has been EXTREMELY useful for me!! It’s features are amazing- customisation options so you can make it look aesthetically pleasing, and how it can structure questions so well so you get quizzed on the same question in many different ways- this app has helped me save a LOT of time writing down revision cards manually, and as I had to revise for my end of years this has been so useful. 10/10 would recommend.

Started off strong
Initially Gizmo was a really great resource for me and i’ve managed to maintain a streak of over 100 days, however, due to the diminishing quality of the app, i’m struggling to find motivation to use it let alone the capabilities to use it. With the app often crashing, glitching and being unable to open, it’s difficult to revise when needed - especially during exam season. If you manage to even get into the app, it’s slow and buggy, often making you repeat cards without building your streak, removing days where you’ve achieved a certain streak like pearl or amethyst and using up a streak freeze. It’s quite disappointing considering the original app worked so well but their constant updates adding useless features which only slow the app has made the app almost unusable. Some days it won’t let you quiz cards at all.
Really frustrating, especially considering other questions i’ve asked about the quality of the app have been ignored entirely.

App is great, however practically forces you to pay
I love almost everything about the app aside from the occasional bugs when trying to save or edit my cards. The whole UI and sound effects are very rewarding.
However a lot of the key features are behind a paywall and it becomes very demotivating when you have to wait till the next day to go over your flashcards because you ran out of lives and don’t have the premium version. Remember, your main users are students and majority of us are unable to justify spending £51 a year.
If the price of premium for a year was lower, or it was a one time purchase then perhaps I and others would be interested.
Also it would be awesome if there was an option to print out your own flashcards!

Okay needs a lot of improvement
It’s good app and helps me revise my flash cards in a fun way but there are so many bugs in it its frustrating especially because i pay to use it, for example when i click the words i want it to tests Me on it tests me on the ones i didn't click it just slows down my revision process fix this and the app would be good another thing is that the answers has to be very specific for example if on my card i said ‘reduced’ and i typed ‘decreased’ for the answer it would say I’m wrong Quizlet with their ai generated answers would be able to tell the similarity and mark it as correct

I loved the app when I first got it but the hearts really got on my nerves so quick. So after 5-10 mins of using the app which I was really enjoying, I’m stopped as I have run out of hearts and I don’t want to pay just so I could use what could be such a great revision resource. Ruined my GCSEs
I would give it 5 stars because it is a really good tool for revision. However, it gets 2 stars because ,unlike other apps for revision that I’ve never had a problem with, Gizmo consistently disappoints when you need it most; night before each GCSE exam so far, it simply will not load. On any device. Any browser. Anywhere. For anyone. This is a huge problem that needs to be fixed because many people have several thousand (self-made or otherwise) flash cards saved on this app and the inability to access them when you need them most makes this app one that I advise you to avoid (if you care about revising). This is why I can trust Quizlet with my cards and why I was sure to back them up on Quizlet first. Gizmo, fix this, it’s unacceptable.

so laggy and buggy
the general features of this app are great, i like the cards system and i enjoy the generated questions but it is probably the slowest and glitchiest apps ive ever used.. it takes so long for text to even load in sometimes and ill be stuck on a screen for 2 minutes straight because it lagged or bugged out. whats more is that its the day before my english exam and the app is stuck on ‘No internet connection Check your connection and try again’ this isnt a bug to do with my internet, ive reset, deleted and redownloaded, downloaded it on my phone even, and it does not fix. all my other apps work fine so im confident in this being an app issue.

favourite app for revision
Such a great app for revision! I found it really hard to find where to store my flashcards and honestly Gizmo is perfect. The ai tool is also very useful for getting the bulk of your flashcards in, then you can just delete a few which aren't perfectly precise. One thing is that I wish I could add multiple tags to categorise my cards, as with quotes for English sometimes they fit into multiple themes.

Very useful honestly, but it’s quite glitchy and slow and it’s missing a few features, eg. Having an option to turn automatic word highlighting on or off or making it so more and more words are blank every time you review a card. Also UI could use some work. Still a good app though!

A lot of the time cards I’m adding straight up disappear, the automatic highlighting is ridiculously slow, questions are automatically added to cards, the app constantly goes back to the main screen at random intervals and the 10 minute timer for getting questions wrong is absurd

Useful app for universty students.
Great app, easy to use.
If errors do occcur the team responds and solves them quickly.

Whenever I try to upload a picture of my vocabulary notes the AI removed the English translation and when I type it the card is too big,. I’m done with Gizmo because the tests aren’t even that good, they just ask the same thing over and over again

Another review (some things that could improve)
I have been using this since summer 2022 and it’s come a long way. Going to write another review cause I think they do read all of these and try to improve that app.
1. Key concern- it’s happened once and will it happen during A-Levels? There was a period of time when the app stopped working and users could not study. I have over 2000 Flashcards and need to use them for A-Levels this summer. With more users than ever is there a way to fix the glitchiness and unreliability?
2. Ineffective studying. The entire concept of the app is amazing and unique but some parts aren’t executed too well. If I have a flashcard more than 2 sentences it will only ask me for the first highlighted word then class it as ‘learnt’ so basically I am not learning half the content of my flash cards. The suggested multiple choice options are also sometimes questionable with isn't an issue but would be nice if we could change these on game mode so with the other options of ‘edit highlighted words’
3. The option to highlight multiple words on a device without a mouse e.g. iPad
Everything else though is wonderful - easy and accessible, free (please keep it this way and instead of really needed introduce add after AND ONLY AFTER 15 hearts are used - learning should not be inaccessible so right now is good), Active recall, fun concept, good use of ai, great use of streaks and overall a great app.

Gizmo Review
Love this app, helps me get good grades as it encourages me to use the active recall method to remember information. I have recommended this app multiple times to a variety of people and they also love it as well. The only reason it is a four star and not a five star is because of the lives, and while they are a great feature, having to stop revising for 15 minutes when you are in the zone for revision is extremely off putting and frustrating, especially when you then get asked if you want to pay to remove them, when I first started using gizmo I was so happy that you did not have to pay for more lives, but once you use the free refill more than a few times it starts asking you to go premium. If I could change one thing about this app it would be too remove the lives, as the app is just as brilliant without them.

Best revision app available
Not only is the resource engineered to help you remember the information - a lot better than flashcards will - but its fun additions and colours make it enjoyable and easy to revise. I also like that upon opening the app you are not bombarded with “buy premium” blah blah blah and the app is very affective without it. However premium, if you want it, is affordable and worth it for exam season. I love this app.

Normally I don’t leave reviews too but I absolutely loveeee this app its motivated me to revise more and in an entertaining way, it’s almost like I’m playing a game but also revising at the same time, love it and everyday I keep finding new features which help organise my decks and revision. I usually struggle with making flashcards or revision resources but this app has helped a lot.

Lagging
This is a very useful app. It helps me study more effectively and faster. It would’ve been an amazing app if there weren’t any lags. However, the app is lagging a lot which makes it not so amazing. For example I have to quit the app every time I make changes in order to see the changes I made. Every time I enter the app and do a quiz it quits me through out the middle of the quiz that I’m in and it keeps loading saying “We’re preparing the quiz”.

This app is really amazing for active recall. So easy to make flashcards and can take them everywhere with you. The streak feature really encourages me to use it daily, I even have a streak of 90 days. However, I have been using this app for a while, and personally the rebrand and redesign of the app seems childish and unnecessary to me. Before, the app looked more sophisticated and nice, but it now has an odd 3d almost effect that makes it look like a cartoon, and has started to put me off using the app. I just use the website which is the same as before the redesign. As well as this, after the redesign I find the app glitches a lot more and gives bugs, and I may be about to lose my 98 day streak because of this.

Really good but…
Really good but it would be even better without the heart/life feature. For two reasons: one, it’s really discouraging for students and makes it hard to jump back into the same pace of revision they would have had before the time ban. Second, during exam season, you can’t expect students to wait and stall their revision if this is the app they use (this happened to me).
It would just be much better without the heart feature; I find it really difficult to go through a stack (200+ cards) and make fewer than 15 mistakes. Being able to make as many mistakes would be much better. Other than that, the app is really great.

Amazing. Truly top quality!!!
I don’t usually leave reviews - but I love this app. If you are someone who hates usual cue cards and finds it monotonous. THIS IS THE APP FOR YOU! Now some do say the lives in annoying, it can be but you can optimise this, such as making a mindmap in the 10 mins. Trust me it improves your performance SO much. The ai is insanely good. I love how you can have decks within decks and colour coding! Also love the way you get cut of at a word limit, it really does help you learn better!
I have 100% seen results with using this app everyday. Alongside blurting on a whiteboard and practice questions, I went from Cs and Bc to A*s. It is truly impressive! Obviously a lot of that was my own discipline.
The team behind this app are also lovely and genuine, I can only ask they stay this lovely and working just to make revision more accessible. I wish I had this for my GCSEs!! I recommend it to everyone I know, everyone LOVES it. It’s such a change of pace.
Highly, highly recommend if you need something more interactive (plus, the sounds and rewards you get from getting things right is like a conditioning method.)
I can’t say I’m a huge fan of the rebrand - but the app itself is amazing so don’t let the cheesy style put you off!!! Ps. Hope to see more of the little star popping up throughout the app. He’s so cute.

Extremely helpful but the new update has made the mobile version a bit awkward
I love this app, it was extremely beneficial for my GCSEs and I plan to even use it as a tool for my A levels as well, however I do have a complaint.
Being able to change the colour of decks is a welcome addition as before it could only be done on a laptop or PC, however now it is extremely awkward to read the information on cards and decks before you select them, as you have to swipe around and move around the screen just to proof read everything. I also don’t like the fact that too much information become split across two cards, as it’s a bit inconvenient and just makes decks a bit messier, I think the old word limit that it had before was much better overall.

This is the best flash card app on the market. (Even better than anki) I wish I found out about it earlier because it has helped me so much in just a month.

One of the best applications for flashcards
Perfect for students both at GCSE & A levels, flashcards are very easy to make and incorporates spaced repetition through its AI system.
Minor fixes:
- Repeating words in a question don’t always get marked so you have to repeat the word
-The questions it generates for you sometimes can be useless

Love it.
Save all is a great website/app. I use it all of the time to get ready for tests. It is also great if you want to have a "friendly competition" with your friends to see who is better. It is so motivating with the streaks, because losing a high streak just makes you want to cry 🥹.
I would recommend save all for everyone, it truly is a great app.

I started using it for a day and worked well. I purchased the premium and I was instead met with no access to my decks, very slow app AND website, having to log in so many times because it was so slow. It’s very disappointing.

Quite good
Works really well with memorisation (of both terms and paragraphs), but the text boxes are a little iffy - I have to turn off autocorrect when making cards. There aren’t as many options/ways to learn as Quizlet, but it's great as a free alternative for broke students.

Brilliant but not hassle free.
I absolutely love how I can finally revise without the hassles of popups and premiums all over my screen. But is it hassle free? The hearts system where if you run out of them you have to wait 10 minutes is pointless, I feel like I’m being forced to buy the premium just like in Duo Lingo but I deleted that because it kept stopping me learning when I ran out of hearts. Please don’t turn into Duo Lingo. I simply can’t afford the premium but I can definitely agree that this app is much better than Quizlet.

absolute amazing! free does what you need it to do literally best flash card app you could have. Gives you the same question in many different ways.
