Annoying adverts

Is it really necessary to have adverts popping up every time new words are needed? It’s endless adverts, can’t even have a clue without watching an advert. I know games need to make money from somewhere but this amount of adverts really spoils the game.

I love them game and love how some words appear and could be in multiple categories, so making it more challenging

What I don’t like is the amount of adverts!

Each time you have to get the next set of words (not even leveling up) there’s an advert! I could understand at the end of each level/game, or when you need a clue or life but EVERYTIME you’ve run out of words and need to the next set to complete the level.

A real let down.

I understand that I can PAY for an ad free version but it just seems the number of adverts is unreasonable and really spoils the flow of the game- especially when they adverts are essentially the SAME game!

Keep accidentally selecting a word

This is a good game, not too many adds. The down side, I keep loosing lives, games because as I drag my finger, I’m selecting words by accident.

Especially when dragging my finger up the screen.

Too many ads!

The game itself is ok, but you need to watch between 4 and 6 ads to complete a single level which is boring and time consuming. I don’t usually mind ads when it is a free game but when you’re watching a 30 - 45 second advert every few minutes it is off putting and just makes me want to shut the game. It is also very repetitive. We have millions of words in the English language and this game seems to focus on the same categories and words which doesn’t offer much variation or challenge at times.

Waste of time!! i downloaded the game I don’t have levels just daily challenges, even though I complete it logs as not completed, words get in the way that you can’t move so some times accidentally touch a word then says wrong an puts me back to beginning, when words are right with the subject like picnic blanket snacks basket set need 4 words but it’s wrong yet no other words in the entire set it gives plus the extra 4 sets also don’t work even though they are the last 4 words and rest of the sets are complete! Associations is a great game overall, it’s fun, relaxing and addictive. But every time I run out of lives I have to either restart the level or watch an ad for one more heart. You also have to watch an ad randomly to add more words. Also you only get three lives for each level so I keep having to restart and watch more ads! Overall the game as a whole is great I enjoy it and the idea of it. However, no matter what it’s AD after AD after AD and the only way to surpass this is to pay for no ads which isn’t worth it on a free game. When you clear all the words you have to click the ‘+’ to get the next lot but there’s an AD before you get them, this occurs 4 times before you end the level. I agree with it for hints and lives and maybe between levels but not to progress in one level.

What a great game. First you have to think of the category, Association between each word then find a path to link each word. It’s not easy as it looks 🙈 mind bending challenging. 😊 set a time limit, for yourself, as you can spend hours playing. Like all free games there are ads but not many. But worth playing the game, the ads give you time to think. No timings, no pressure just get everyone involved.

Misleading

I downloaded this game from an advert whilst playing a different game. It asks you to tap the words associated to a topic. This game doesn’t have a topic at the top instead you have to join all the words in the same category together in a line. If you accidentally join a word not in the category you lose a life. This is easily done as the line doesn’t always follow the finger exactly. So frustrated as it was portrayed as something completely different, but it’s okay to pass time and my 8year old likes it hence the one star

TOO MANY ADS!

I normally don’t mind ads in games like these because it’s a free game especially one like this with a fun concept, however, I don’t think it needs 4-6 ads every level. For example an ad for entering the level, an ad for getting every set of words to continue the level, plus added extras to “shuffle” the level if you corner yourself in and then another when you finish the level! One or two ads a level is more than enough in my opinion multiple ads like this just make me not want to play the game or play offline so I don’t get ads at all.

I also found that the same few categories were continuously showing up making the game pretty repetitive after a good few levels it’d be nice to have an update where more topics were added.

Nice game ruined by intrusive adverts

This is a nice thoughtful little game, requiring a bit more engagement than the average lowest common denominator app. But … whilst I accept the need for adverts to keep games free, this is ridiculous. You can play for literally 10 seconds, find yourself in a painfully awful Royal Match video for a minute at least, then 10 seconds later find yourself in another ad break. Not really on and completely counter productive because it’s going to get deleted as a result. It wouldn’t be so bad if you could ignore the ads, but having to click up to 5 times to move on is annoying.

Far too many ads!

I love the concept of this game, it really made me think and I could play it for hours! However, I’ve only got to level 5 before I deleted the game because there were wayyy too many ads. Having to watch an ad after every new set of words, every level etc etc ruined the game for me as they are so obtrusive. You can pay to get rid of them, but you shouldn’t be punished for not wanting to spend that money!

Pretty good

I enjoy playing the game, though the same words and categories are constantly repeated, so it’s not as challenging as I’d like. Now at level 28, it seems to have got easier, in regard to placement, I hope further updates will make more of a challenge.

Reading other reviews, some people complain about ads. They’re a necessary evil, pay up or accept them, at least we have a choice. Others don’t know how many lives there are. The little heart symbol, not hard to find. Placement is the point, if you block yourself then just start again and be more careful next time. If you don’t know a word, Google it or guess. There’s no penalty, try again.

It’s a good game to while away some free minutes without a timer or anything to cause stress.

Unable to complete

I do like this game but I tend to get stuck with 2 different categories stuck ontop of eachother with 2 categories ontop of eachother in the corner and I’m about to complete then I can’t merge them as they’re stuck under eachother so I fail every time. Good game to learn new words

I am playing the game in Portuguese to learn new words. I did spend some money to get rid of the annoying adverts who took too long. I do use the dictionary as I am still only B1 level of Portuguese. For some reason it didn’t post the rest I wrote. I am on level 260 or so and it gets too easy. Can’t you add new words and particularly more groups. I have sussed out the system and only once In a while I loose lives. Unless you add new words and groups inwill stop playing.

Way too many ads

Fun little game working out which word groups and where to place the groups so you can move through to where you need them to be HOWEVER a ridiculous amount of ads, you have to add more words to continue the level, ads, finish the level, ads, click through to next level, ads, need more words, ads and you need more words about 3/4 times so far just to complete one level so that’s 3/4 ads plus the others makes it can be about 10 ads per level, just ruins the game, no thanks… now deleted

Some of my most aggressive ads I’ve seen in a mobile app. You complete a level here’s an ad. You get out of that ad and press the button to begin the next level here’s another ad. You press the button to show the next four row here’s another add! You will spend more time watching ads than actually playing this game.

Stuck on level 3. Keeps saying I’ve run out of moves but there’s nothing to indicate how many moves you have to start off with…or it is referring to the 3 lives you have.

Also not great when it selects other words when you’ve not clicked on them and says it’s incorrect so you lose a life. Going to delete the game.

This game is absolutely ridiculous I've been stuck on level 3 for ages now I was about to complete the level had 2 family categories and 2 other categories that needed combining together to complete them then it came up no more moves it's stupid because if something is in the way you can't move it to combine categories, it's in the way

My opinion on the game ‘Associations’

This game is a fun and entertaining for those who get bored easily. But the downsides to the game are the worst part. First of all there are quite a few ads there is at least 1 ad per level. Second, something I personally find annoying is the fact that the game doesn’t show how many moves you have left which means that you could have one more move left to do in order to complete the level but then something pops up saying you are out of moves. Personally I would prefer if the amount of moves showed on your screen as you play the level. But other than those two downsides the game is pretty good.

The rules keep changing. You only have three lives which is very unreasonable considering that your fingers can very easily accidentally swipe onto another word without you meaning to. So many of the words are words people don’t know so they don’t know which category they belong to. The idea of the game is good but they need to make a lot of changes for it to be any good.

Hard to use

Great concept but the words are so small and close together that when you try to drag a word group, it adds adjacent words into that group and then says it’s wrong even when you haven’t intentionally clicked that word.

Needs the words making bigger or the touch being less sensitive. Maybe could add it so you can tap word groups rather than drag to avoid accidental mis-clicks?

Sausage Fingers Lose Lives

I love the idea of this app but it can be a little awkward to use.

I don’t know if it’s just a me and my sausage finger’s problem but I accidentally put words into the wrong categories but I don’t know until it’s too late. When you’re moving your thumb (or whatever finger you use to play) your hand tends to cover the screen and the words you accidentally selected. You have 3 lives per level and all of mine go in this mistake. I had to restart a level so many times that I got frustrated and deleted the app.

It’s a shame as it’s an app I’d really like to play.

Good game but if I can’t move categories out of the way, I can’t, so I have to restart it. Also, the amount of adverts you have to watch is absolutely ridiculous. Also to those who are complaining of “No Moves Available” - it’s because you’ve blocked yourself from being able to drag the remaining blocks together. Be more strategic with how you’re collecting your words and you’ll pass with no trouble.

I have just deleted ‘associations’ app game as it is an unfair game with unfair rules and the rules that I play in one level then change in the next level which is wholly unfair.

The reason for deleting is that there was a word GLASS and the only category left was Chemical compounds - I looked up the internet to check if Glass was a chemical compound and it said it was, so I felt Triumphant in associating both together - the moment I did that it came up saying INCORRECT and reverting me back to the beginning!

Today I was on Level 5 and the App froze on me and no matter how many times I tried to open a new game, it was still Frozen, no alternative but to delete and start again.

If you don’t like Ad’s forget this one too, there are just so many, it puts one off trying to finish a Level!

Out of moves

Thsi game is very additive I’ve with a good concept but I can’t seem to get past level 3. It keeps on saying I’ve run out of moves even though there’s nothing informing us that we have moves or how much moves we have. This is a great game but it’s a real shame it’s practically unbeatable.

Too easy

Sorting words into categories cool. Making it so you have to be smart about where you sort the words as to not block the next ones cool. But when does it get challenging?

It’s the same words nearly every level? Over 30 levels in and it’s just too easy to keep going.

Good game but bug

I loved this game at first but as soon as I got to level 3 it keeps saying I’ve run out of moves. I’ve tried over and over but it keeps saying this. Hope the makers read this if so could u please change this as there was no time in the game where there was moves required so please fix this.

This game could be good but needs a bit of fixing.

This game is kind of unfair i like it alot because it’s fun putting things into categories and stuff but the thing is with this game you cant move the words if they’re in your way it’s so stupid so if you go to put some words in a category and there is another word next to it it’ll say i’ve tried to put that word in the category when i haven’t that word is just in my way. Please sort this out so you can move the words when you need them out of your way. Besides I don’t like this having only 3 lives when you start. You literally lose lives from "accidentally" putting the wrong words in the wrong category.

Brilliant, and addictive.

I do, however, have a couple of suggestions for the update. Firstly, the bar at the top covers the top half of the top row of words, so could do with moving somehow; and, secondly, an Undo button could be useful - even if only a limited one.

Run out of moves

Enjoy playing this game, the run out of moves come in when you have put collected boxes in a place where you can’t merge them with other like collected boxes so you have to think carefully whereabouts you collect them. Hope that makes sense

Would be a great game

I am on level 3 and can’t get past it. Keeps saying I’ve ran out of moves, what moves? There is no indication of having a limited amount of moves, I’ve checked several times incase I missed it. This is a good game with the potential to be great if they sort this bug out! 3 stars because it is a good concept of a game, shame you have limited moves without it telling you/showing you.
