Whenever you’re upgrading bits the game freezes when you run out of resources. It just shows a moving had pointing to what you don’t have and I have to come off the game completely and re open it as it crashes.

Heroes make this unpleasant.
Agree with the other reviewers. Great concept and graphics. The heroes piece is very bad. I’ve been waiting weeks for the one I need to appear. Can’t even opt to buy it. Slows progress completely and just makes it boring and stressful. Play the first level then delete. Don’t spend any money. It doesn’t help you get the right heroes.

I really enjoyed the first few cities and spent a bit of money because of it, but eventually the game almost grinds to a halt if you don't spend money continually. What was initially a testing and enjoyable game became just a tedious and boring money grab which it a pity because I feel that I've lost out and so have the developers.

Impossible Heroes…
The game was initially quite enjoyable but on one of the later early levels I found it impossible to get a hero called Sophia that was required to progress. Get heroes from the shop it said, the inter web said you get her from crates in the shop, but after a month of opening two crates a day and getting nothing I gave up. It would have gotten four stars if it had actually been possible.

Amazing
This is easily the best idle game I have ever played. Turned down the opportunity for free diamonds at the start for a review, but I’ve just had to update the game.
The competitions are fun and engaging, you can earn plenty of diamonds without spending a penny to buy in game perks.
This game is genuinely sensational, it has the perfect balance, even as a “novice” player you will enjoy online events & the rewards you gain from them.

Games okay but it’s glitches a lot!
The game play is amazing, love the side event as well but whenever I watch an advert to get a reward halfway through the ad the game closes down and restarts when you open the app again. Done bother to try and chat to their ‘customer support’ you send a message and they never get back to you. Only worth playing unless you want to pay to make improvements 👎🏼

Build play repeat
Each level is the same it just costs more resources. Heroes harder to upgrade. There are 3 events which again just repeat. If you don’t want to spend money it can take forever but soon gets quite boring.

Battery Drain and Too Reliant on Heroes
When I first downloaded this game, I was totally obsessed and played non-stop for hours.
However, I had to delete it from my phone due to the fact that it had become far too reliant on heroes. Fair enough that they exist, but for them to actually stop you from being able to do ANYTHING is ridiculous and it’s luck on whether you get any heroes is beyond messed up. It led to my heroes revolting (a concept that isn’t even explained how to stop or deal with properly), they starved and died, worked slower due to lack of resources and my need to overwork them just to get enough resources to make it through the night. Having heroes should be a fun addition, not a total reliance! They shouldn’t be this overpowered!
Also, it was draining my battery so fast that it was another big reason why I had to remove it from my phone. It would be a lot easier if they had a battery saver option, like a few other games I play do. I happily accept less in terms of graphics if it means I can actually play the game!
If these problems are solved, I would be the first to re-download this game because it was super fun.

Good game but screen is too cluttered with offers!
Love the game and it’s great you receive so much stock when not playing but the screen is too cluttered with promotional paid add ons. It’s annoying and I keep accidentally clicking on them. Makes the developers look greedy which is a massive turn off when looking for free games to play.

They have heroes in boxes you get from the shop. You get the heroes you need pretty quickly in the first two cities, then the third you start to rely on RNG to get the ones you need. Without the heroes your workshops are working at a paltry fraction of the capacity you need for progression.

I have played the new game several times and have yet to land on plans to get new workers. It’s impossible to get far if you can’t build dorms!! Not the best idea!!

Good game but as far as the update on vein castle you need blueprints to upgrade your dorms, but you never get blueprints to upgrade, so you don’t have people to work on the workshops so you can’t get any further

Loved this game until the 4th village
I really loved playing the game for the first couple of hours, but halfway through the 3 city and on the 4th everything slows down spectacularly. You can really feel that the developer has done this intentionally, because the only way to produce enough resources is to spend real money on boxes to unlock hero’s that allow you to add additional workers.
Feels very disingenuous.

Really enjoyable game!
This game is really fun to play. I’ve enjoyed completing tasks and building the city to move on to the next. The only thing is I’m now on a level that requires blue prints to build dorms and I never land on them thus meaning I cannot proceed my city because of lack of survivors.

Ok at first…..
I’ve been playing this for about 3 months, starts off fun with a fair bit too do but by the time it gets to city10 (where I am ) It’s just a boring grind to very slowly upgrade your hero’s so you can get wore survivors working, this become tedious as it can take days to advance your hero just one level. By this stage it can also take a day for one building to complete even with the requisite amount of resources.The mini events are actually much more fun but very “samey” especially after you’ve been playing a few months.
Overall ok for a few weeks but they obviously want you to spend real cash to advance, for me the games just not worth it, sorry folk!

Worst pay to play setup I’ve ever experienced
This game started out okay but as time has gone on its come to a point where it’s literally impossible to progress in the mini games without spending obscene amounts of money.
It was not possible to progress past stage 17 out of 24 in the most recent mini game unless you spent £12.99 on a card pack, and even then it wasn’t guaranteed you’d get the cards you needed. I wrote to support about this and they simply said my feedback was valued.
Every time you unlock a new city the hero upgrades get slower and it takes days to even begin making any progress unless you buy outrageously expensive packs. If you play a mini game and rank in the top 10, blue gems you get as a reward are only enough to upgrade 1 hero in the main city.
If you pay for a boost in a mini game (such as the 200% production and +6 hours offline that usually costs between £7-£15) it only lasts the three or four days of the mini game, and next time that mini game comes around you have to pay again.
Absolute rip off. Deleted. Don’t fall for it!

how have i now, after a week or 2 been playing, started having people die of starvation?
kitchen staff are full, full menu available, and lots of food stocked up too, hunters are full and topping up thousands of food already available.
sorry, deleted the game at this point, theres no reason for starvation, nobody was working extended shifts, but hey, you got a download hit.
very poor 'simulation' after this started happening, and without apparent reason when food is fully stocked, the only reason is they chose not to eat, not sure how.
very confusing, the mini games are ok but ended up having the same issues. all fully stocked but people was starved.

I used to really enjoy this game, but the higher the level, the harder it becomes unless you spend a fortune on resources and card for “Heroes” to get workers to operate the factories etc.

The need for heroes completely ruins it
Now let me just start with the fact that I was completely obsessed with the game when i first started playing it as the graphics were really pretty and the fast progression was satisfying.
…HOWEVER, after levelling update to the new cities a couple of times i have been completely blocked from progress due to a complete inability to get any heroes, which it seems like is left completely to chance (and luck which i don’t seem to be getting at all). I like the idea of having heroes to help level up the different buildings but not when it mean that without them you can’t do anything at all.
This means that progression has basically come to a standstill and i’m unable to get the resources i need to even complete the task without waiting for hours at a time (or spending ridiculous amounts of money), and all of my workers are constantly starving and dying whilst there is nothing i can do about it. For example, my output on food at the moment is about 18 units every 12 seconds, when i need 140 to make one single meal. it’s just not enough to feed them all and i’m lucky if i get maybe three dishes made before the designated meal time. as a result, the workers are starving and working even slower, which is just creating this endless loop of no progression.
It’s such a shame because i really did enjoy the game and it had great potential when i started playing but it quickly became more stressful than anything.

Latest update not so good
I like this little game, the events make it worthwhile, but this latest event is an old event rejigged, and has bugs in it. You can’t see which survivors are tired, when you play an ad for a resource, it isn’t clear when it’s over, and I’ve cut it off too soon to claim a couple of times with no prompt to warn me, no chance of redoing. The old way was clear, this new way looks similar but isn’t. There’s also a roadblock where you need hearts to continue but you can’t get hearts without the rewards, which you can’t earn, so you’re stuck unless you watch ads, which end too soon…

Really good game!!
I love this game as it is easy to progress but still a challenge at some points. Unlike many other games that I have downloaded the advert/trailer actually resembles the game not making an entirely different game just for the trailer. Its super fun to play and really good graphics as well. Some of the problems are that you can get stuck in the cycle of needing to upgrade something but not having enough materials and then people die or don’t come to help as you can’t upgrade the dorms. Overall amazing game 😁 definitely recommend downloading it

Food Is Broken (making the game unplayable)
I have been playing for a few weeks and really enjoyed the game up until a few days ago. Good graphics, music, gameplay and simple premise. I’m on city 4 without spending any real money or getting stuck, but here comes the issue.
Not long ago my city stopped producing FOOD in the main game AND the events. This is not an issue with heroes, buildings, levels or supply chains. The raw meat from my hunters is far, far more than enough to feed everybody in the city, and my chefs have more than enough time to make the meals. However, my hunters repeatedly take the raw meat to the kitchen then NOTHING HAPPENS. Every single person in both my cities is starving because no meals are being made. I am just in a cycle of riots and everyone dying then being replaced, only to die of hunger again.
I don’t understand what happened to completely ruin the whole game like this but I sincerely hope it gets fixed very soon. I want to give this game the 5 stars it deserves, but this is ridiculous.

It was okay but…
Like others have said, the game was really fun at first. I was looking for something that could keep me entertained and this really did just that. I enjoyed the mini events and unlocking the different camps. However! Once I reached snowcamp castle everything went down hill. I needed a hero for food, and no matter how many rare cards I collected, I was never able to get this one hero that I needed, meaning they wanted me to pay for it. My survivors kept dying because there was literally no food for them to eat, which is really unfair because I worked so hard to get to that camp level. This unfortunately made me uninstall it today, as I know the more I progress the more I will have to pay for hero’s etc to enjoy it again, and I didn’t want a game where I’m always paying for things. So yeah, it’s a no for me sadly!!

Almost the best
This game is almost the best idle game I’ve played. As I can see from other reviews though, it’s clear that the enjoyment lies in the timed events. I appreciate the new things that are being added to these events to change them and make them more exciting. I’ve played quite a lot of the main game levels at this point, and to be honest - I’m getting a bit bored of them. The reason I love the events so much is because they’re much faster moving and you progress at a quicker rate. My favourite thing about the game is checking off the tasks and when it takes SO LONG to get to a point where you can, the game loses its appeal. I’d rather more, smaller tasks to check off so that it still feels as though you’re moving forward. Still one of the best of the market, and I’m always keeping an eye on anything new that released!
I also agree with others that removing the winning of gems in the events has kind of ruined the whole game, they are key to play and dedicating time on the events should come with this as a reward!

Great game BUT ….
I have really enjoyed playing this game and have developed various cities, the extra missions are a added enjoyable bonus well they were when they were offer up to 700 free diamonds every week pretty much by taken part in the extra side missions. BUT sadly this has changed to your only getting 100 diamonds and a lot of other pretty pointless items. The diamonds helped me with my main city by buying resources etc BUT now I get less diamonds progression is very hard I don’t make enough food so workers leave and it’s very hard to make enough resources. Please Please please go back to the old ways of offering more diamonds as rewards as they did make the game worth playing at the moment I am getting fed up of losing workers, not been able to make enough resources I hope you listen to what I have to say it’s an enjoyable game and I want to continue to play, otherwise I will simply do what my workers are doing and leave.

Frustrating..!!
I first downloaded this game as it kept coming up on adds on other games I was playing. I downloaded it on a whim just to see what all the fuss was about.
When I 1st started it I really did enjoy doing all the tasks and the battles but I’ve found as I go threw the levels I never get the hero’s that I need. I also found that I became very frustrated due to not being able to upgrade my buildings due to not having enough sources.
As you level up it becomes incredibly harder. I can’t upgrade any of my buildings or work stations due to not having enough sources but I can’t help that because my men can work quick enough which is highly annoying as they are dying of cold or dying of starvation..!!
I also found every time you upgrade your furnace it always dies out..!! What is with that..!! I’ve been on the verge of a strike due to not having enough or being able to upgrade anything.
I’ve got to the point where I am wanting to uninstall this game. It’s such a shame. I really do think if they created this game but didn’t have freezing cold whether climates it would make it more enjoyable as I really have fun on the mini events they have that doesn’t require a furnace to be on to keep my survivors alive.
I’m only now playing to play the mini events as I’ve had enough of the stress and frustration the main game brings.
A lot needs to change for this game to be successful and enjoyable again.

I love this game!
When I first read the reviews I was a little put off because of the hero situation and needing them to progress in the game! I’m on the 5th city and it took me 2 weeks to complete the 4th city waiting to get all the heroes needed. This game is perfect for me, it’s idle so I can pick it up and put it down, check in every 2 hours for the rewards during the day. I’ve also not paid for any gems, I just watch the ads to get the occasional 100 gems they give, and save up my gems for chests and the time thing for more resources. This game takes time, but doesn’t take time at the same time, it’s idle so when I have time I play it, when I don’t I just go on for the resources! I love the mini-games too!

Pretty decent but wish a few things for were different
Obviously I like it as I’ve had it for a while but something that is funny is the mini games/events that happen every couple days are the best part of the game and I end up just waiting for them. As I saw someone else say it does get frustrating when you desperately need a hero or an upgrade. Also something else is change if the layout of the maps, apart from moving around the buildings it is the same very time, extremely minimal landscape changes so it’s not that exciting moving to a new map.

Pay to play!
Ok to begin with, I love the concept of this game. It’s really good to play. But after you pass the 2nd city, this game becomes virtually unplayable. You need these hero cards to be able to properly produce material. You can only get these cards by finishing certain tasks and obtaining cases which contain random hero cards or by buying bundles of random hero cards. The problem is that past the 2nd city, the game just stops dropping new hero cards which disables the progression. And if you pay for the card bundles it still doesn’t give you the cards you need. Just doubles of what you already have. So I just wasted a bunch of money and still can’t play the game. Reached out to the support team with no resolution.

Amazing game apart from heroes
The game itself is amazing. I can play it non-stop and not feel bored. First mobile game in a while I’ve actually really enjoyed playing.
Especially when the timed events come out, they always feel so easy and smooth to play through and are good fun to get nice rewards.
Only issue is, once I got to the third village, no matter how many chests I opened I couldn’t get certain heroes for my production lines. Mainly Sophia, the one for the iron blocks. Took me ages to get past the 3rd city and now the 4th is also taking me forever to get set up nicely.
I think maybe just increasing the probability of gaining certain heroes would make the game feel more enjoyable.
Because when I can only put 1 survivor onto work in certain areas when I could easily have 6 can be quite annoying to look at.

Coal
In the second city called valley town for some reason every time I open the app after maybe 8 hours or like the next day is says I earned about 3 million coal but when I claim it, it never adds on to the coal bar thing. For example if I had 1 million coal, the next day I come back to play and it says in the (max) two hours it has collected about 3 million coal I claim it and it goes to my coal bar but I check and I still only have 1 million.
It’s probably a bug.
Please fix.
I love this game so much and I would hate to restart all my progress or even delete it.🤕

Love it!
Normally I don’t write reviews, but this one I must. Always looking for a game, but mostly trick you into spending real money if you want to progress, in Frozen City you have the option of course to spend money, but even if you don’t still is quite simple to get a good amount of gems from the weekly events. Ads? It’s your choice to watch them in exchange of a prize so it’s really up to you if you need the resource offered or not. The game as others mini games except your main city and keeps you interested. Love it

Great game but…
I am thoroughly enjoying playing this, I really like to see my workers actually doing something and see how long it’s taking them rather than just get a little message popping up every few seconds, I also love just how incremental it can get down to decreasing resource time by 0.002 seconds.
However where the game falls down is it is NOT kind when it comes to hero cards in cases. For example I currently have a lot of starving survivors simply because I cannot get the hero for the greenhouse which would allow me to assign more than just one planter there. This is very frustrating especially when the cases freely hand out heroes I don’t need while I struggle to get anywhere.
I don’t know if there’s anything the devs can do about this but please look into it.
Otherwise this game is brilliant!

Great game but stressed me out
I start with the good things to say about the game because there is plenty to say. This game is one of a kind that I have played in a while, which made me want to keep playing. There were so many activities that kept me busy and helped me kill time. Though passing time was my main motive, the game has great graphics, music, and gameplay that got me invested in it.
Everything was fine until cities 3 and 4 where a particular workshop can be upgraded but cannot employ more than 1 worker at a time unless a specific hero was unlocked. I was fine with that but things became stressful when I couldn’t unlock a particular hero at all after multiple resource boxes, which affected production of a particular resource which in turn affected farm and kitchen upgrades which resulted in my workers dying, being dissatisfied and building up towards a strike. All of this was not even the result of my decisions. I had to uninstall the game and give it a 3 star rating because of the unnecessary stress around unlocking a hero. I am afraid it may set up the game to be considered pay-to-win.

Good at first
This game was good at first as its exciting going through the tasks and building your factories and things, but as it goes on it gets longer and longer for things to upgrade and build, over 1 hour to build some items on the game, It costs too much in assets to upgrade each time, I can wait over 2 hours and only upgrade 1 level on 1 building then thats it, wait again. The fun is taken out of it and I have got bored now of waiting for very little. Im sorry but you need to sort this out as people like me will just delete the game and not play anymore.

Shame
Game started really good, fun to progress and manage your own city, however, once you get to the third city it’s pretty much impossible to do anything unless you pay for the Hero’s, if not you can do maybe one upgrade a day, meaning it’ll take you weeks to progress into the next, only for it it to get harder on the 4th city I imagine, it’s not even like the hero’s are cheap, if you pay your way you’ll end up spending at least £10 per city, (every day or other day), so I doubt I’ll be playing it much longer, which again is a shame as I was enjoying it

Eventually Boring..
Played this game for around 2 months, managed to get to city 7 and now at the point where I’m not really making any progress in the game or ticking off any tasks which was really good for the few first cities and made the game interesting.
I find myself going on the game with heroes now unlocked and unable to get them (Unless I make purchases, which the game obviously wants you to do..)
Therefore making the game completely uninteresting and pointless.
I think the developers really need to read these reviews and make improvements to the game where people can actually progress and not be waiting a week to upgrade one building, instead they crave money and that’s all they care about..
Do yourself a favour and don’t download this game and please don’t get sucked in to buying heroes and other rubbish this game offers, find another game to play where it’s actually fun to progress and has more things to do!

Not as bad as reviews claim
Seeing a lot of people complaining that it is impossible to make it past city 3 without paying to unlock heroes. Although I will agree getting the Heros at random is harder than it should be, I have made it to city 9 without paying for anything and only now I am at the point where the workers are dying over and over because I haven’t unlocked the Hero for the green house. Games aren’t meant to be completable instantly, it’s an idle game that funnily enough, needs to be left idle to farm materials. There is still many bugs but this game is very early on in its development

DONT DOWNLOAD
Been playing for a couple weeks spent some real money on the game for a couple bits and was really enjoyable then there is these little pop up challenges that are actually a lot more fun and move quicker than the actual game which by the way is really draggy once you’ve got past the initial set up of your first city it’s a real drag after than even if you’re following the task menu but the point is you do the pop up challenges and added bits spend days working your way up purchases things and they never arrive in your inventory so after you’ve completed the tasks you never actually obtain what it is you do the task for tried speaking to customer services sent over 5 messages got absolutely nothing back not even an automatised message saying slow replies or something they just outright ignore you and then when you go to delete your account it just takes you round in circles you can’t actually delete it at all you just end up having to remove the app! Half of these reviews on here are only given nicely because they warn you rewards in the game that is if your lucky enough to have the reward show up in your inventory… what a waste of time and money really had the ground to be as good game but nothing works right good idea BAD design don’t waste your time honestly

Bottleneck City (Unless you pay)
Glad to come on here and read that everyone else has had the same experience with freemium on this game.
First couple of cities were great, you have various buildings to run and you have a ‘hero’ that speeds up output and unlocks more workers for that building. You’re given these by completing quests for these first two cities. When you get to the third city they introduce new buildings that you need new heroes to run.
You’re given the opportunity when you first start the level to purchase these 3 missing heroes for £5.99(?!). That deal lasts a day or so and after that your fate of getting those heroes is left up to the Gods of fate, either by randomly unlocking them for free, or purchasing loot boxes to randomly unlock them.
I’ve left it up to randomly unlocking for free, and after 3 days of this one level I’ve unlocked one of the three. If I don’t end up unlocking the other two within the next few days I’ll probably delete as it looks as though there’s around 5 other heroes this happens with as you progress further.
It’s a shame because this game is actually very well structured and a cute artistic style, 10/10 for a time management game, but it’s let down by a pretty compulsory pay to progress structure.

Disappointing Customer Support
The game is really cool, I like the story and the whole idea behind it but what an awful customer service…
I bought a Skip Minute literally seconds (16:59:59 as advised by customer service) before the end of an event to be rank 1 as was not too far behind the current rank 1. The diamonds were deducted from my account but the purchase wasn’t taken into account as the leaderboard didn’t update accordingly.
I contacted them to have my diamonds refunded as it was clearly not taken into account here, after multiple messages, I was told that the resources were added to my account so they couldn’t refund the diamonds. I provided them with pictures of before and after the purchase where you could clearly see nothing happened and they just advised that the rank 1 player bout a Skip Minutes a few minutes before the event ends. Which is indeed shown on my screenshots.
To sum up, there’s an issue, I’ve got proof I provided them with, they didn’t understand the problem and didn’t even try to understand but thanked me for my feedback. Terrible Customer Support…

Started off well…..
Really enjoyed this to begin with, however, as you progress, the factories that produce the goods you need to upgrade your buildings need to be manned by heroes. You get the heroes from chests and receive the heroes you need in the early chapters, but the further you get, the more heroes you need and you don’t get them unless, I assume, you pay, but I won’t be finding out. You can still progress at a snails pace without the heroes you need, but you have to manage your manning levels and wait days to get enough resources. It’s a shame, as O was enjoying it, but it’s far too much effort / waiting time now.

Good game ruined by greed
It’s a great time passer until it gets to the point you can’t really progress unless you buy packages. There are events that last 3 days, these also offer purchases. I wrongly assumed if you bought the packages in the event you would keep the cards for the next time the event rolls round but no, complete flat reset meaning you have to purchase the same packages again. If these were only to speed up the event then that would be fine but no they are the only way to complete the event. I spent maybe 4-5 hours a day on the game as well as checking in throughout the day and only got to around 60% of the way through. Another thing is, you can’t permanently get rid of ads but instead you will have to pay a weekly or monthly subscription. I’m happy to pay for packages if you don’t lose everything after 3 days. Seems like a greedy way to run a game and definitely burns you out from the game a lot faster. It’s a shame because at first the game is pretty enjoyable.

Too reliant on the heroes
Fun gameplay, could play this for months. However, once you reach the third city you become locked out from progressing at a reasonable pace due to you needing some heroes that you’re gonna find very hard to obtain unless you buy them with real money. I like the hero system but needing them to be able to put workers in a building just makes this game frustrating. This probably wouldn't be an issue if you were still receiving heroes from doing tasks at this point but they give that up after the second city. Literally my only issue with the game but it’s such a big issue it almost completely ruins this game. If you just kept the crate rewards for doing tasks then at least i would just feel unlucky but currently it feels like I’m being kept behind a gate i can only open if i pay £6.99 and thats just for this city who knows how much I’ll need to pay next time.

Good until it’s not
I will start by saying I really enjoyed this game when I started playing. Progression was fast, I was ticking off tasks constantly and it was satisfying to get them all done and move on and start again in a new city with new buildings.
But now I’m on Plain City, only the third city I think, and I don’t have the heroes for the iron mine or foundry 1 so I can only assign ONE survivor to these buildings, severely bottlenecking my output. This has slowed progress significantly and made the game almost completely unengaging.
I imagine this is intentional to incentivise you to buy gems and chests but at their extortionate prices, I won’t be paying for anything in this game.
The only thing I’m holding out for now is the occasional events, one is due to start later today where I can presumably build a new city with progression that isn’t completely messed up.
I don’t know how long it will take me to get past this city because it takes so long to do even one level of minor upgrades on any building. I don’t know if I will get past it at all before I get fed up with the slow progression and uninstall.
This game had the potential to be so good and it was my favourite game on my phone until this point, and my complaint is echoed by every other review on the App Store but the developers seem determined to keep things the way they are in the pursuit of revenue. I hope it is solved, please listen to the players.

Fun game, but roles locked by heroes? Not it
Honestly is a fun idle game if you’re into it. Fact you can be fairly active or idle is a nice balance. I don’t mind building having hero lvl locks but the ones that lock food production or the kitchen just feel bad. I’m yet to unlock the hunter hero so I’m unable to assign an additional survivors to the building. Because of this my settlement is slowly starving an I can’t do anything to prevent or help them. Again I don’t mind the lvl lock of adding survivors to buildings, just not on the village necessities. Still a good game never the less, nice graphics an animations.

I’ve had this game for a while and I love that although it’s an idle game, it’s still entertaining to be on the game for a while and watch all the survivors run around. I especially like the events, I think they really keep the game interesting. I see a lot of people in the reviews complaining that it’s too hard to get certain heroes. Yes I get a bit frustrated sometimes as well, usually it’s because my survivors start to starve because I don’t have the hero for green house production. But I also like that because games are supposed to be a bit challenging right?😂I don’t really get why people are complaining, especially as it’s quite easy to save up gems and buy the booster box things🤷♂️ so yeah brilliant game, keep the events coming!

Good game
honestly, it’s quite addicting and fun. although one thing that’s quite annoying is it’s hard to get cars for all the heroes you need, so in my world at the moment i have some things producing loads because of the person increasing output but in others it’s so slow so i have to stop my people from working there until i have enough resources from the other place. hard to explain but yeah , no ads, it’s entertaining and fun. edit: i think that it would be a good idea to include a button to restart your city, for example im stuck at the moment as i don’t have enough resources to feed everyone and i wont for a very long time, im at ice lake. i want to restart it all and try again.

Love this game!
I didn’t realise I was into these types of games until I played this and I’ve nearly played it every day since starting it. My favourite part is the farm event that crops up every now and then (ba dum tss). I didn’t like the card battle thingy at first but now I’m absolutely killing it, I could lead an army at this point. Would recommend to a friend. A little suggestion to the creators, if I may, maybe you should make a co-op feature where you could trade stuff or something like that, would be cool

Heroes become an issue
Levelling up is now impossible for me and I’m only on the 3rd city. The cost of one material is already greater then the production due to only 1 of 4 possible workers being used as I don’t have the required hero. Having read other reviews I see that people are also struggling with the same issue although at different stages of the game. I think the most common sense solution I have seen is to be able to level up the workers, rather than have the heroes whose actual use is separate in the game.

Great game but needs tweaks
First & foremost, I’ve grown to love this game, the overall management is something I’ve always been into. However, as per in game survey reviews, I feel like the heroes situation needs to change. Or at least increase the probability of getting some. I understand the devs have to make money somehow. But as previously stated, it gets progressively harder to move forward, especially when you’re in dire need for specific heroes. Which then means you’re getting less of a specific material that you need from the get go & you’re literally stuck in the same map anywhere up to 2 weeks. Also, I’ve encountered situations where I had plenty of food, the workers would go eat but not actually collected said food & went back to work, to a point where I had a few die on me due to this. I’m not sure whether this is a bug.

So far so good but...
I want to report a possible bug? Im on the 4th level, and most of my survivors are hungry all the time even tho they all get food, but i noticed even when dinner time for example is from 21:00 to 0:00, they leave the kitchen at 22:00, so some of them leave the kitchen with the dish in their hands, and dont eat anything, which doesnt make sense, they are supposed to be at the kitchen until 0:00... The game is good. You can buy things inside the game, which for me, aren't worth it, because at the end, buying things just allows you to speed your game experience, i prefer to go step by step to enjoy more the game! The music inside is soo relaxing, i have a favourite song i wish i could just reproduce forever, the events are cool and tough, which i liked it! Keep it up guys! Really loved this game, and it hope it never ends!

Stay with the game
At first I thought oh no it’s a slow rubbish game but it’s not its very addictive trying to keep survivors alive and the event are brilliant colourful and really worth playing for as each milestone you will receive a gift at the end of the event I’ve not bought anything in game as it’s expensive for me but thankfully I’ve never needed anything to buy as the devs give you enough in the game I’ve been playing a few months now and it’s worth it to.

Really good idle game
I love this game! I like that you get to build the city, complete tasks and also look after the people. It does slow down the more you play as it gets more challenging but they put little mini games for a couple of days that helps the time pass by. They also have a battle feature that is fun enough without it being to complex. Only thing I wish you could do is add friends to compete against. Me and my partner have it and we see who can get to the next city faster than the other using different strategies.

Great concept but the need for heroes ruins it
The game has a great concept and is very addictive at first. The earlier levels are very fun however as you move along the map it’s much harder to progress due to the reliance of needing heroes. I don’t think that hero’s even fit the design and storyline of this game at all, so the reliance of needing them is a shame. A more appropriate way of having specialised workers would be to have the ability to level up your survivors instead, as the heroes really don’t fit in with the gameplay at all, but rather a way to may you pay. Also, the fact your survivors restart from their dorms when you open the app really messes the daily timelines. I wish they spawned at the appropriate place depending on the time of day rather than having to walk from the doors every time I open the game.

Fun game but looses appeal after awhile
The hero element for production is a bit broken. Constantly found myself stuck with a fully upgraded factory but only allowed 1 worker all because you don’t collect a random hero from a chest. Which can take a while to get to get unless you pay.
This has happened over a couple settlements and it brings progression to a snails pace as there’s a constant bottle neck that I can’t get passed unless I spend money or get lucky. I managed for a while but it really over shadows the good things this game does have such a graphics, combat and the settler happiness system

Need Heroes!
So, I was enjoying playing up until I got to the 3rd town. I am progressing at a snails 🐌pace now because I haven’t been given the hero for my iron mine or 1st foundry. This means I can only have one worker which is holding everything up. It is seriously making me want to quit because I have tried buying crates with my gems to get these necessary heroes, with no luck, and I have tried sitting it out and waiting. 3 days later and I haven’t been able to do more than 2 tasks though = boring!!
This is a major flaw to the general flow of the game and really needs addressing.

Ready to fleece you
Started off great. Fun and engaging. Like lots of other reviewers, once you get to city 3 it’s too hard as they want you to spend money. No heroes you require and nothing to boost your heroes up. I get they want to make money but I’m not paying as it’s not that good.
Update. Finally got to city 4. Now it’s ridiculous. No heroes for most places. You stop production of higher goods so your lower goods can build up but it doesn’t happen. So you are stuck in limbo unless you pay. Scam and will be deleting. Save your money and time on a pointless quest. Devs you are thick as mince. Bye

Frostpunk rip-off with loot boxes…
This game had great potential, but let’s be honest, it’s a rip off of Frostpunk with all of its heart and soul ripped out and replaced with a pay to progress curve that’s frankly insulting to the player.
“Missions” are one dimensional tasks, there’s a thin veneer of story telling (there’s so much wasted potential here alone) and mission rewards are rarely (if ever) what you actually need.
The two biggest issues however; ridiculous price points for in-game currency, and the old rigged loot box mechanics to get hero’s to get you to spend obscene amounts of money to even survive let alone thrive.
It’s over £5 to get a basic set of hero’s at lowest level to enable your city to even function with basic resources and food from the 4th city onwards. Consider that you can buy the full Civ VI game for £8.99, this is many things, value for money it is not.
Play it for a couple of days then bin it before you waste any money on it, a shame to waste something that starts out in quite a delightful way.

Bah. Was going so well.
Snowcap Castle Been playing around 3 weeks now, and I’ve just reached Snowcap Castle, city number 9. I’m used to a slow start, but this one is on a whole new level. Food wise, 700 potatoes are needed for one meal, production on potatoes is 6 (yes, 6) every 10 seconds. This is due to the new hero being needed for production. I’ve spent around £30 over the last few weeks but only because I wanted to, not because I felt like I had to. Until now. Please don’t force us to spend. I hope this isn’t the routine for all future cities. I will stop playing, and spending, if this is the case. My survivors are all hungry immediately, and I’ve no food to give them. They’re dying, and without spending in this instance, they’re going to keep on doing so. Frustrating, and pushing me to quit.

I like it BUT
Previously reviewed and rated a 4 but downgraded as I’ve gotten further in the game. Managed to get to the 6th or 7th city but now can barely progress. The heroes are required at 55+ so you end up with only 2 survivors working so don’t get enough materials. You have to upgrade the furnace to unlock new materials and therefore use more coal and still only 2 workers. My survivors were always hungry and couldn’t have more than 2 hunters. The kitchen were taking 260 per meal which was a joke and yet the tasks were always to add more survivors for rewards equally in everyone starving! The last city I was on, buildings were taking over an hour to build and you’d then realise your hero isn’t upgraded enough. Felt like I’ve wasted so much time. Really loved this game when I started playing it but now I’ve deleted it as greed seems to be the only thing on their minds ☹️ such a shame as could be such a great game!

A great game let down by poor gameplay progression
I agree with many of the other reviews I have seen.
This is a great game with really good graphics and gameplay, HOWEVER, it is really let down by the lack of heroes. The hero that you need to progress is impossible to obtain unless you spend money which is a big turn off.
One way many other games get around this is by offering players the option to watch ads in exchange for supplies, gems, etc. This would help to maintain income whilst also giving players what they want. I would strongly recommend that the developers consider adding this sort of feature to keep people wanting to play more. It’s a shame as everything else in the game is really good.

Fantastic game, but…
I’ve been playing frozen city for a few weeks now and fully involved in the game. I like the idea of having to priorities your workers and their needs throughout the game. Progression is quick at the start but starts to become slow as you reach a certain point.
You really start to need certain heroes and massive amounts of a certain material to have more workers in each station, but the chances of unlocking them are next to none, unless you spend money ofcourse.
You then need a certain type of material to upgrade the heroes, but that material is hard to come by and you need a lot to level them up.
The most recent event though was amazing! The change of scenery and pace of the game made this far more enjoyable in my opinion.
Overall, a great idle game.

Starts well
As others have said, the first 2 cities are good. Steady game play until city 3. The lack of hero cards as rewards (as they were in the first 2) really affects the game and seriously slows progress. I would hazard a guess that many will stop playing at this stage unless it is fixed.
To progress YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY To get heroes to open up extra worker spaces. I have let this run for 4 days without upgrading or spending any in game resources and you cannot get enough to up grade with out paying out to get a hero. So I previously said 3 stars and have now downgraded to 1. I don’t think games should force people to pay to play. Either charge for downloading the game or not. Don’t have a hidden cost to progress

Stick with it
It’s a great game, with horrendous pricing but luckily you don’t actually need to buy anything and the devs seem receptive on changes the community are recommending.
Anyway when I first started this game I deleted it after having to sit there for a few minutes watching people sleep…a week later I decided to give it another go and I’m glad I did. Please remember this is also an idle game so you aren’t meant to stay on it for long periods of time.
It has flaws but I find it very addicting and the events are very good and very fair, they are weekly and so far I’ve played two and gotten every reward without spending at all. If you use your brain to strategise the game and events and have patience it’s a great little game.

Great game until you hit City 4
The first 3 cities are great, you can tick off a few tasks each time you pick the game up, even spend longer periods in the game. Once you start requiring Rare (pink) hero's to increase productivity and open slots in buildings progress grinds to a halt, I had one building in City 3 without the hero which made progress slower, and city 4 amplified the problem. I stopped playing now as I'd need to open the app every 2 hours for 12 hours to get the resources I need to upgrade one building 🤷. Feels like it frustrates you into paying money for hero's which I'm not a fan of.

Good Game needs some improvement
I been playing this since day one release, game is great for the genre it is keeps me entertained for hours. Only thing I have to say is the progression can be bit slow due to the current hero design system maybe not achieving characters till after that city, or not having opportunities to upgrade due to lack of cards or diamonds then you would need to pay in order for chance to gain them. I feel possibly re think of the way hero system is been able to balance between free to play vs Using money to buy diamonds to be able to advance quicker due to not been able to get characters so easily.
