This is the ONLY one I’ve come across that actually does what it says on the tin and immediately starts giving you options for which photos you want keep or trash!!! Straight forward, simple, effective, a great asset to help keep photo massing to a minimum..!
One of the greatest features is that you can remove sort delete videos images to your hearts content but they only get moved to the phone’s recycle bin and it’s up to you to actually either physically delete them or you have 30 days until they are deleted automatically.
So there is no permanent damage, so to speak, done in the app itself.

Great utility of organising photos and storage
Excellent app, being able to compress of videos instead of only deleting them is very useful, and swipe mode is great for fast sorting of photos, which I tend to do en masse at the end of a holiday. The only thing I think is mission is the ability to reduce the frame rate of videos when compression them. All this for free as well.

And actually enjoyed flicking through the memories of the oh so important photos we take and never really look back on!! Happy days!! This app has transformed my photo library with no effort. I wanted to create hi resolution photos from iPhone ‘live photos’ and it went though my 20,000+ library, identified my ‘live photos’ pulled out the ‘high res’ components and allowed me to delete the animated components.
I ended up with better quality photos taking up much less space.
I completely recommend Clever Cleaner, it does what it says it will and much more too !

Great app does everything I need to get in more control
Great job on this application, i tried a few and this is the best so far. It helps you select which of your similar photos can be deleted and find those vids taking up stacks of space. The ‘Live’ Photo cleaner removes all the hidden frames, if you are happy with the picture then clean all the extra data.

That was my impression when I saw a review for this app. I was wrong, it actually works, is easy to use and has cost nothing.

This is a great app to help free loads of space, whilst being incredibly easy to use!!
A few suggestions for improvements: 1) Show when an image or video is Favourited, and give an option to protect these from deletion. 2) Give details as to what the video compression is doing for each level of compression - eg is it just a new codec, does it change resolution, or does it affect quality in any way? 3) When in the Compression option for Heavies, allow videos to also just be deleted with a single click (without having to switch over to Removal mode and scroll back to find the video)

This is an AMAZING app. 10/10. Before I got this app, I was constantly getting annoying alerts saying that I was out of space on my phone. Which meant I couldn't take photos anymore. I tried many apps, but all of them were false claims, or you had to pay an INSANELY UNFAIR amount of money just to clean your phone. This app is DIFFERENT... And before you think "Oh dear it looks like another PAID comment for the app" lemme just say I'm 15! I DON'T EVEN HAVE A JOB. And I take a LOT of photos, so you can take my word for it. This app uses AI to select all the duplicate photos, lives, heavy photos and unwanted photos and sorts them into groups, which you can then approve to delete. WITHOUT PAYING. The only thing I would recommend is make your ads look a bit more convincing as I was a bit skeptical at first, as the ads looked a lot like scam ads. Also, I think you should add some other features too. But apart from that, this app is PERFECT.

It’s worth giving this app a try
I am of a certain Age and i am not computer literate, and even the iPhone I own had to be set up on my friends daughter, and it kept coming up with nearly fall will stop working and various other quotes like that. The thing is I only use this phone as a phone I text I email I take some photographs and that’s it. I’m not on the Internet all the time and there was so many apps on this phone and this service came up so I added it to my phone, but at the same time I deleted 50% of the apps on my phone because I have never used them once so I’m hoping between that and the cleaning service this app provides my phone should work fine from now on, fingers crossed anyway

I’m really liking the concept of this app. I’d leave 5 stars if it wasn’t for the bugs and the fact that I wasted time curating photos only to find out later that all of my work was useless because the app didn’t actually delete de photos. They were left untouched in my gallery. And no there’re not in the deleted folder. It’d be an amazing app if it actually worked consistently

A super easy to use and functional free cleanup for photos and videos. You can either remove types of files (like duplicates, screenshots or big videos) at a click, or swipe through manually. I’ve used both ways, and deleted 30 or 40 gigabytes in just an afternoon. Honestly, the best of its type, it’s saved me god knows how much in storage. Get it!

Be careful
It doesn’t only find duplicate photos, it looks at similar photos that you may want to keep? Do from what I can make out, if you use the smart feature you may lose quite a few of your pictures on the basis they look similar but aren’t exact duplicates.
You may as well just go through them yourself and delete what you don’t want . Its redeeming feature is that it’s free to download and use, though just seems a little pointless.

I’ve recently installed this app to help me tackle the overwhelming amount of photos I have! I find it easy to use, and am working through a few at a time…it helps me decide which ones I really want to keep by grouping similar photos together and suggesting the best one (I can also overrule the app’s favourite). It makes a huge task manageable. Also, as we have had a family bereavement, it means I can skip groups of photos that are too difficult to make a decision about now, and move on to less emotional groups to start streamlining my photos…I’m glad I can do this and avoid being upset, and can come back to those more difficult choices later. Overall, I like this app

Good app but struggles with a high number of photos to compress
How can I delete Live Photos in batches? I have 8k Live Photos to delete and I can only select all photos for compression. It takes hours and then the process is interrupted with not a single photo being deleted/compressed

Amazing App
I’ve been meaning to clean up my ever-growing photo library for the longest time.
But doing it manually is such hard work.
I looked at a few apps, and I was happy to pay a fair price, but some of them seemed really scammy - requiring you to keep paying a subscription or they reinstated the deleted data.
I could barely believe it when I found Clever Cleaner - a completely free app. My expectations were low, but the reviews were good.
Now I’ve used it, I can see why. An attractive and intuitive interface avails a powerful feature set.
Yes, you have to put in some work - but it’s SOOOO much easier than doing it manually. Great app!

I was looking for a storage app that would clean my full storage for free and none of them were. I searched up on Google free cleaners and all of those except for clever cleaner were to pay. I came to this app and it was amazing and I don’t have to lay a dime

I have tried so many apps, all promising a free cleaner app, only for them to ask you for a subscription, I am unemployed through disability and can’t afford to pay, and this has caused me great distress when I have been forced to delete many important photos or documents.

I would have like the possibility to see the pictures about to deleted individually on the full screen of my iPhone, as sometimes (bird pictures particularly) it was very difficult to figure out between 5 or 6 pictures which one(s) were to be kept.

genuinely revolutionary app, with a great team willing to listen to criticism and make changes
i take all my photos as live photos because i like having the option to tweak them afterwards, but they sure take up storage fast. this app's ability to mass select and make live photos into stills (AND deleting the originals) is genuinely a lifesaver. i also really appreciate the heavies category which let me know i had a 30 minute screen recording that i'd forgotten about taking up loads of space
the developers listened to my criticism of the app and have fixed a major issue i had which is a great sign. thank you!
i would still love the option to sort the live photos tab by oldest first so i can more easily remove old live photos, and the option to swipe-select multiple live photos like you can in the native photos app, but those are my only small critiques. the app as a whole is a magnificent
