This app was fine but with the recent upgrade I get this message on my iPhone after I agreed to allow messages to be sent - notifications - this is irritating in the extreme so I have deleted the app on my phone !

Good content, comprehensive, but why search only on American english? Entering "colour" gets me a dictionary entry to remind me that the "correct" spelling is color. Entering "color" in search gets all of the references held.
Really.
I would expect either spelling to work equally and am disappointed that only the US spelling provides expected functionality.
This is quite useless for us in England. Please fix.

That is, this app contains a mere fraction of the words that are in the actual book. Moreover, not even enough to make this a decent thesaurus. Feel ripped off. Come on, developer- provide what we are paying good money for.

I bought this expecting it to be like my Roget's Thesaurus at home which includes breeds of birds, mammals and lists of plants and trees etc. If I search for Bird for example it just says noun 'boo,catcall, hiss, hoot. No definition of bird or synonyms. This is useless and a complete waste of money!

I know one is not supposed to use these when doing crosswords, but, having just downloaded '2 Across' - fantastic crossword software, this enabled me to have such fun, enabling me to 'Bookmark' words! The search function worked perfectly, as did the hyper-links - and all on my iPhone 3G!
