Good app does what it says on the tin HELPS WEIGHT LOSS

Really like this app, easy to use.Dont be put off by building up your foods you use log, the scan food facility is useful & very good and accurate . Would definitely recommend this app, but the same as any other weight loss program, you have to help yourself & stick to your calorie in take, this makes calorie counting very easy.DONT CHEAT LOG ALL FOOD & YOU WILL LOSE YOUR WEIGHT

Useless unless you go premium

Don’t download unless you’re willing to pay the £22.99 yearly premium subscription. Waste of time. There is an advert every two seconds trying to get you to upgrade.
I lasted 5 mins before deleting it!
Oh and enjoy the Spam emails too!

Causing crashes

It was good, but now it crashes during some food searches, taking out my whole phone when it does. Not ideal for an app you have to open regularly. I paid a yearly subscription, too. Fix it please, developers!!

Super useful!

I've been using Loseit now for a couple of weeks and it's really helping my eat more mindfully and slowly but surely I'm dropping the weight by combining this with a decent exercise regime. Note to the developers: I would absolutely upgrade to premium but I'm not forking for a whole year up front as I'm using this only as part of a limited time weight-loss programme. I simply don't need it for a whole year (it's especially frustrating that I see a monthly upgrade option has existed at some point because it's listed in the IAP section on the app store!)

Eating Disorder

Love this app

Only using it free and this is plenty. Good link with apple health. I’m just a middle aged man trying to not get comfortable with the spread and this app is helping me with my habits.

Fantastic! But...

I’ve been using it for almost a year now to help me both maintain and use weight but since the most recent update it hasn’t been working. It keeps coming up with errors when I search for new foods and when I try to submit exercise it does the same. Please fix this because I love using the app!!!

Amazing

Really like this app! I’ve lost 8 pounds in 6 weeks. I think it’s a good way of dieting because you’re not limiting yourself you’re just tracking calories. So if I want cake i’ll have it I just have to make sure I don’t go over (and it doesn’t matter if you sometimes exceed your calories). It’s taught me to not snack as often. It’s great as you can add your exercise in too. You basically type in your goal weight and when you want to achieve it by and it tells you how many calories to have a day. It’s great!

Getting thinner

Great App

I’m loving this app, tried others but this is so easy to log and find foods and keep track with motivating little awards like a fit bit. Unfortunately the cost of premium is too high as you have to sign up for a year which for those of us with only a stone to lose now and again is too much and then annoyingly will auto renew if you forget to cancel. This is a shame as I’d love the premium service this app offers. Don’t be put off as if you’re motivated the free part of the app is perfectly adequate to help you on your way 👍

Losing Weight easily.

I find this app brilliant for anyone who wants to lose weight without missing out on food you love.Basically you can track everything you put in your mouth but also see how many calories your eating. I’ve ate the food I’d normally eat but once I’ve used all my calories up I stop! It’s much better than sticking to a diet! You don’t have to buy anything extra just use what you have.Honestly it really works and everything is listed that you need. Have a go it’s good.

Useful but watch out for inaccurate nutritional info

The app is very easy to use and so convenient on my phone. But, as most of nutritional info has been added by users quite often foods just have the calories listed and those occasionally can be seriously inaccurate, 300 calories for 30g of cheddar? If you’ve no idea of calorie values to start with it could throw your figures right off. There are foods which have tick mark against them as they been verified as accurate, I’d like to be able to use that as an option when searching. You can amend information, but that’s only useful if you are aware it’s incorrect in the first place. If you eat processed foods you can use the bar code to input the information which helps.

Definitely Works

The free version is a great little app. You need a little patience at first to find the food to enter but this gets easier. Great that you can record your weight and see a graph that gives you a target end date that changes. You can also add the exercise you do and get a calorie allowance. It links very well with the step counter in the iPhone health app. My wife has paid for the pro version but too early to assess. If you use this every day honestly you should be motivated by the progress you see.

Tracking weight loss

This app is amazing for tracking weight loss and other goals. So you know whether you’re headed in the write direction. Each day you can monitor how many steps you take so this is helpful and often makes you get up and keep moving just to get the goal.
I enjoy measuring and logging my foods although it is time consuming at the best of times. If you really stick to it you do see a difference.
It would be helpful if they added hints and tips for people of specific diets such as Atkins or keto diet.

How accurate are your entries?

No idea! How much am I entering? Do I have to weigh every cooked prices of chicken or soup??? The whole point of calorie tracking app is to show you With a visual pic exactly how much is 100grams of something because everything you buy is weighted in 100grams.

Eat what you but lose weight

The app makes keeping track of how many calories you’re consuming so easy. I’ve lost nearly 7 stone (98lb) since Jan 2018 by being honest with what I’m eating and logging everything. Sure you’ll have the occasional ‘stuff it’ day and holidays but just start logging again and you’ll soon be back on course.

Easy and comprehensive

It’s so straightforward to see exactly how much you can eat to achieve your goal, how many calories you have left each day and I love the fact you can see the date you will reach your goal. The food list is the most accurate and comprehensive list I’ve found and I started to see results immediately. I have lost a stone in one month using the app.

Won’t cancel subscription

Do NOT sign up for this unless you want to be fleeced!
I tried a number of times to “ reach out” as they say to replies on here , but the contact email set up just puts you round in circles. Cannot actually speak to or “ reach out”to a real person.
I’ve contacted PayPal and changed all my cards to prevent them stealing my money as I can’t remember how I actually paid for it originally so taking no chances.

Fabulous!

Great app. Some great features that you don’t get on my fitness pal. Nice layout. I like it so much I want to pay for the premium but I refuse to set up anything with auto renew. It’s an added stress to my life. If you did a one off payment with no auto renew then I’d upgrade to premium. I hear lots of people say auto renew stops them from buying things. That’s the only thing that stopped me from giving it 5 stars.

After 4 days I paid

This app is so excellent that after 4 days I upgraded to premium which gives me extra bits but to be honest I was just happy to invest the premium price so that the developer keeps this going. It works out as about £2 a month. The barcode scan is very accurate except it scans anchovies as tuna but of the hundreds of things I’ve scanned only that one wasn’t accurate.
Best calorie app on the market for sure and I’ve tried a few. Lost 3lb in 10 days👍🏻

Don’t get caught by the annual subscription!!

Despite NOT completing the agreement to proceed with the 7 day free trial or agree to the annual subscription, I have received a very disturbing “welcome” email AND it’s appeared in my iTunes purchases!!! AND I’m not able to cancel it!! VERY DISTURBING!!!

It Works!

This is a brilliant app that gives you a realistic and easy to achieve calorie daily limit.
It allows you to still eat the food you enjoy, but it really makes you think about what you’re eating and how much you’re eating.
Within my plan, it says I should lose 1lb per week, which so far I have just by logging EVERYTHING and sticking within my allowance.
I would strongly recommend this app to anyone wanting to lose weight the EASY way! You need to be totally honest with your logs, but by being honest you will find you reach your goals!

Auto renews by deceit

I bought the premium version and initially enjoyed it but found it very limited and haven’t used it for many months. It used to say that it wouldn’t auto-renew but low and behold, it has just auto renewed. It says that you can get a refund within 2 days but, guess what? You can’t. I have tried to cancel my subscription on iTunes, which is what it says you must do, but it won’t do it. So now I have to put a note in my diary for next year to make sure that I get it cancelled and blocked on my card before they steal another year’s subscription from me. Hate people who manipulate others like this.

Love it! And a suggestion to make it even better

I’ve been using the app for just over 30 days now, and it’s really super easy to log what you eat. I’m trying to be more conscious about what I eat rather than specifically lose weight, and seeing what’s in food o would have eaten without thinking before has really made a difference. I still eat too much sugar though!!
One thing that would be really great is the ability to add alcohol units as a goal - logging all my glasses of prosecco has shown me I drink far more than I thought, and I bet I’m not alone in that!

The best app for tracking your diet and more

This app had helped me tremendously with my fat loss lifestyle change. I love how efficient it is and how many things you can add like exercise and Easter intake. It's nice to see what macronutrients you are also consuming, not just calories. Highly recommend if you are serious at tracking your diet.

Good but could be better

I think it has good functionality (although the camera option doesn’t seem to work). I just wish people would log food with the nutritional value as knowing your daily macros is important and useful. I have to search through multiple options to find one that has this information. The developers should only allow new entries that contain cals/ fat/ protein/ fibre etc and delete those that don’t.

Good App

I love this app, couldn’t get on with my fitness pal and the previous one I used cost more ( I have the upgraded option.)
Marked down a star as it would be useful if it noted when you had met your 5 a day. It’s easy to think you’ve reached that goal when you haven’t.

Losing it slowly

Wow I love this app adding everything I eat and drink and any exercise really keeps me on track. Nothing is out of my reach. Lost 11lbs so far keeps me motivated. Only wish I had a partner then I could do the sexercise lol. Here’s to seeing less on me woo hoo.

I understand why this is in place but if that’s the case why is the app rated 4+. If you’re gonna make it 18 only make the rating 18+ so I won’t have to waste time downloading it.

Great app

I prefer this to MyFitnessPal as it’s not all based on US measurements. You can change everything to UK measurements which makes it far more easier to use. The scanner is brilliant too really quick, whereas it can take several seconds for MyFitnessPal to work. Only down side is that it comes up with a percentage of unrecognised nutrients most days so there is little point in setting nutrient goals so therefore no point in paying for the premium service. I suppose that’s because the food items haven’t been input correct. It would be better if there was some way app users could submit corrections - you can do this with MyFitnessPal. But it works well for what I need it for, as a calorie counter.

Highly recommend Lose it app

I’ve tried all sorts of diets from slimming world to cutting out potatoes but this really is the best app I’ve ever used. It’s so easy to work out the calories of everything and it’s made me look at what I’m eating and control portion size. But at the same time still eating what I like but being aware of how many calories I consume in a day.

Unknown macros

Great app

I have been using this for over one month and it has been a great tool for helping me cut down the calories. It’s really easy to use and I especially like the bar code scanning feature. Have dropped five pounds in one month from 9 st 8 to 9 st 3.
You can also use it to track your macros which is really useful. I found that I needed to increase my protein intake. Another useful feature is that the app recognises patterns. So for example it flagged to me that I normally keep on track when I have eaten cereal.
In general it has helped me to recognise what foods I can eat a lot of that are low in calories like salads and bulgar wheat and others that are high in calorie like cake!! It also helps you to be more mindful of portions. It did weigh things in the beginning but as you get more familiar you can judge this more easily.

Great app (feedback for improvement)

When you’re in Calendar view of weeks and click on a day:
- What we have now:
Click on a day, click close at the top right and now you can see what you ate that day.
- What’s better:
Double click a day.
No need for the finger to travel so far when a double tap works.

Counting just got easier

I love this app -Lose it- has really helped me keep track of not only my calories in take but the amount of Fat, Carbs and protein I am having . For years i’ve shy’d away from counting calories preferring to use a points based weight loss programme because somehow years ago I got it in my head that counting calories would be tedious or too much trouble but with “Lose it “ I can plan my meals out across the day with great ease ... it’s become my best friend, It’s always with me even while shopping and planning my meals I genuinely love this app... Well done Lose it your great 👍💕 for the first time in about 3 years I’m actually seeing the weight drop instead on going on 😍
