Time for a trip? iBeams is a interactive procedural special effects system, pending FDA approval as a mind altering substance. Create and manipulate hypnotic beams of plasma, lightning bolts, squiggles, lasers, swirly swarms, flames of light, geometric shapes, sine waves, color spray, and other psychedelic shapes.
Touch the screen and watch the beams follow your fingers. Pinch, zoom and tilt to control motion echos traveling off into infinity. Shake your iPhone/iPod touch to change colors.

Wonderful
What can I say apart from love it love it.intend to tinker too much with it since the visualisations are endless fun.lay back and relax with this app and your favorite tracks.

Crashes on startup!

Not compatible 3G and 3GS
Does not work, as reviewer below pointed out one month ago, on 3G - or my friend's 3GS at this point, late August 2010. Description should be clear about this.

Keeps crashing
I've got a 3G and run ISO4 ibeam does not work on my phone. It keeps crashing, paid £1.19 waste of money. Please fix the problem!!!

Had to give the app 1 star as rating system won't accept zero. Unfortunately, though this app sounds (from other reviews) great, it won't load on my 3G now running iOS4. The developer has tried to help to no avail. Got plenty of memory; reinstalled 3 times & still crashes.
Update: Developer advises that I'm the only user reporting app crash !

IBeams review

Best Visualizer for iPhone.
This is one of the best visualizers to date for the iPhone. There's so many different options to choose from, the screens above don't necessarily give it justice. It's best use i find is with music, it changes and pulses to the beat/song with accurate speed. The updates are welcome as the UI (user interface) was a little annoying at times before but now it's better. I recommend this app to anyone who likes art as such especially for the cheap price of 59p.

Great app!
This is a great visualiser and is actually quite creative. Way more interactive than any I have used on the pc. Looks brill while listening to electronic music. Good fun and a must buy for any one that likes some fireworks with there music. A+
