Garbage.
Been issue with this app for weeks. I used to like it but now I can’t access the forum I use the most plus Tapatalk are charging a fortune for our forum to use their unreliable service which is putting the forum at risk of shutting down - plus they’re trying to milk money from users by encouraging them to go ad free for a price. Not me so I shall be uninstalling.

Ads with sound
Seriously... I can’t remember how many times I’ve paid for the premium version, only for Tapatalk devs to whip out the begging bowl asking me to pay for an ad free experience AGAIN. Now, in their infinite wisdom, they’ve decided to implement ads that play sound whilst you browse - that you can’t mute!!

I have an account but it fails to recognise password. But the app won’t let me reset my password. If you try their web based help, if you can call it that, you soon discover it’s worse than useless.
Spent five hours in total as the group I wanted to chat with uses it.

Keep getting new feed notifications that aren’t
For the last few weeks I have been getting constant new notifications for threads that are actually months out of date. So the app says there’s a new post on a thread - I look at it but there isn’t a new post and the last one is actually months and months old. The latest bug fix hasn’t fixed this.

Very confusing UI
Coming from a person who has used Bimmerpost, Tapatalk is very confusing. The UI just has so much going on. I still haven't figured out how to disable things I do not like seeing. There is a massive banner in the homepage asking to login which you can’t dismiss, the colours are too bright for me and generally things are scattered. It’s a shame as it used to be good a few years back. Would like to see options to hide things or have a option to view things in classic format. At the moment it’s very messy and confusing. I’ve deleted the app a few times just to get it again.

Ruined by greed
So I purchased the original Tapatalk when it first became available. It was excellent and I promoted it to members of all forums I was a member of. Then Tapatalk got greedy!
My VIP status as an original user and purchaser was removed when a new (and more expensive) business model was introduced. So unless I purchase their new VIP pack (again) many restrictions will be put in place.
Now the last straw, they have reduced any posted image resolution to nothing more than thumbnail quality. As if advert revenue is not enough, the new business model will just screw you over until you stump up the cash.
It can now be compared to nothing more than a cheap game with ‘pay to win’ qualities.
You’ve blown it Tapatalk, from now on you will receive nothing but negative comments on any of my future forum posts. All hail the new combined forum app, it’s just round the corner.

Garbage
Used to be good. Updated recently and now cannot log into forums where I’m registered. Tells me I am not able to log in. I’ve changed passwords, checked and rechecked usernames, tried entering email address instead of user name. Same problem. Deleted it and reinstalled - same result. Absolute crap!

Terrible terrible app. It’s completely unstable, you have no guarantee you’ll access the forums you wish to.
Even if you do, the functionality of the forum you enter will be limited. Probably the worst of its kind. Tapatalk seem to want to make it worse with every “upgrade”.

Loading forever and is definitely not internet issue
It’s been few years since I had tapatalk and is really disappoints me to say that they didn’t fix the issue of loading. The loading in forums takes forever. I remember 3 years ago I getting frustrated cause it’ll load only few pages and then just stop. Now 2020 is still the same issue.

Glitchy and frustrating
I've been using Tapatalk for a couple of years to access three different forums.
It's frustrating to use as it's full of glitches. Some of the threads I follow have hundreds of posts, but the preview always only shows the very first post, not the latest one.
If there are photographs in the thread, then often the wrong photograph shows up on Tapatalk - if you go onto Safari the correct photo shows.
Threads that have been read often show up on the "unread" tab multiple times, making it really hard to find the threads I actually haven't read.
If there was an alternative app to access the forums I want to follow, I'd not use Tapatalk.

Handy, but broken
Quite a nice app, if it worked
A) it runs very slowly
B) for some reason I can’t access the forum I’m primarily a member of, it says I’m logged in but I don’t have permission to do anything and sometimes it pops up telling me I’m logged out when I’m not, I have logged out and logged back in, didn’t work, I have checked the forum on its website (ie not with tapatalk) and it worked fine, so something’s wrong with tapatalk

Can’t read recently submitted posts
While lots of focus on “kin” and other irrelevant features, fundamentals like the app basically not working (especially for very long threads where the last 10 or so posts often disappear), the “look at which other forums this person is a member of” unwanted feature (hello, privacy) means I use this app less and less now. Have gone back to web access from my mobile phone now for a few forums.

Utter Rubbish
I have completely lost all faith in Tapatalk. We’ve had a multitude of problems since they took over. Our forums are ruined, lots of years work all messed up. Just so they can make some Bucks.
I have tried emailing Tapatalk a few times. No response! So don’t bother putting your get in touch message on the reply section.

I bought Tapatalk many years ago when I could have just used the free version. They are now forcing adverts on me in an attempt to get me to pay again, this is a scam and never mentioned when I paid for the app all these years ago. How are you getting away with this?

Seems good, one bug
I’ve not had any major issues as yet, one but however is that no ‘kin’ are registering at all, it will not let me claim any despite completing many tasks and ‘achievements’, you click the get kin button, it tries, then it just cancels the action without doing anything or giving an error.
It doesn’t effect me too much but it could some others perhaps.
Generally it’s useful and saves me having to log into my forums.

Screen frozen with banner - cannot use app
Just downloaded this app to join a forum. A screen stating ‘Earn Rewards’ shows over the top of the app screen and there is nothing I can do to clear it, so the app is completely unusable.
Update: the frozen screen cleared after several days, but I cannot log in to app. My email log in works on browser but on app it gives an ‘invalid request’ error. So app remains unusable.

the app doesn't accept my username and password so i can't use it. i can log in and out and back in again using the same username and password but only when using a browser. when i put that same info into the app it says they don't match and refuses to log me in. i've checked and double checked and triple checked and i'm not spelling anything incorrectly.

Instead, we get something called „Kin Marketplace“ which I cannot recall ever signing up for. And i can’t disable it either. And now, I get annoying popups I have ZERO interest in every f—king time I interact with a forum.

Clunky to use and I’m fed up of it crashing after spending ages attaching photos and typing a post only for it to crash midway through compiling it. The interface is dated and pretty bad too. Needs accessibility settings
Needs accessibility settings. The only way of increasing text size to an easily readable level is through the iPad settings. This means every other app has to have giant text to get Tapatalk to a reasonable size. Uninstalled.

This update has killed it. Totally unusable now as when you scroll you get an advert every 3 posts which takes up the full screen . As soon as you touch it it opens up the app store. Sort this out please it is extremely annoying and very intrusive advertising.

Over sensitive adds popping up when scrolling
They must get paid for every time someone clicks on an add while scrolling. You only have to breathe into an add and it opens in a new window really annoying. Apart from that is fairly good. Oh apart from the i need to login using Facebook pop ups I get now and then.

Obtrusive ads are making it unusable
Used to love Tapatalk - it had its quirks, closing pictures you had opened immediately for no reason and giving phantom notifications - but it brought all forums onto one platform and thus was forgivable. Now you cannot scroll down without opening a money supermarket or coinbase ad to the point the app is unusable. Will give Tapatalk a chance to rectify this otherwise am going back to chrome.

Ad touch sensitivity has gone crazy
I totally understand the need for ads, but in the latest update the sensitivity of the touch space on/around the ads has gone nuts. Now if you’re scrolling and touch an ad while scrolling/swiping the ad opens, even if you didn’t directly tap it. I must have accidentally ‘tapped’ the current Coinbase ad 50 times in the last 2 days (AND I already even have the Coinbase app so the ad is pointless!). I now have to be really careful when scrolling to not touch an ad while swiping
Also the new shade of blue used on the left to show unread topics is so bright it’s blinding when I’m reading before going to sleep.

I wanted to recreate my old zetaboards forum, very unhappy, cant create groups on the app, and the app crashes whenever i try to view my account settings! Even a childrens foruming website could do better. Zetaboards should never have merged with this dissapointment of a site.

Tapatalk has lost my account and won’t let me access
I am a regular user and have enjoyed the app principally for the Talk Tennis forum for a long time. This week the web based version of Talk Tennis was updated and now I can no longer access anything on the app. When I try and log in the app can’t find me and I can’t access user support without logging in - how useless is that? Was happy user now very very frustrated. Grateful if someone from app support could get in touch to fix it.
Update- it now seems to be working again. I can only assume some back office functionality was addressed that enabled it to catch up with the web forums upgrade. This happened before app support responded though. So I’ve adjusted my rating back up. Would be 4 stars if the support had been more accessible, and 5 if the search function was more effective / accurate too. Otherwise I like the app.

Pointless CLICK-BAIT from Forums
I just want to open a forum online so I can read I from my phone without microscope! When I click the “open in tapatalk” link it just opens the app and not the page!!

Cost of APP
I use the app often due to subscribing to lots of different forums and it’s nice and easy to keep track of everything all in one place...BUT I did pay to get this app a few years ago and disappointingly it now asks me to pay a monthly subscription fee for it. I’ll put up with the adds out of spite of already having paid for the app before.
Every time I reply or quote on a thread I get an error message, tried a few times getting the same error message only to find that the reply had posted every single time...

Nothing loads in reasonable time
Downloaded this and was so painfully slow. Not writing it off straight away, I deleted and reinstalled, closed other apps, restarted phone etc. Nothing had improved the sync symbol that went on for over a minute after typing in forum name of a forum that prompted me to this very app in yeh first place.
I’ll stick to accessing through web browser. Nice idea but doesn’t work for me

Last update has screwed this up
Tapatalk did an update and now the app is greyed out and cannot be removed or reinstalled.
Constant messing with what was an excellent app ive used for years is now becoming a pain.
Ipad4 latest software.
After some updates the app became good again... nae, very good, but last update has somehow lost the done button for posting pics, that appears in bottom right. Now you just have to guess where it should be. Obviously poor pre testing here.
Otherwise it is good and if the constant tinkering for tinkering's sake was reduced it would be a 5 star app

Endless scrolling that nobody wants
What has happened to this once easy to use and excellent app? With every upgrade it becomes more complicated to use, with features that nobody wants.
Now I find I have to enter my password every time I click on a forum. Becoming more trouble than it's worth.
Wow, another upgrade and another unwanted change. No pages now just an endless scroll ! Nobody wants this, who decided they did? Give us the pages back. Sad.y there is no alternative to Tapatalk, otherwise I’d be off. Once great app, ruined for no apparent reason

Have been using this app for years but the latest update is a backward step, the new method of seeing new posts at the bottom of a thread doesn’t work consistently and on occasions I can’t access new posts.

This app is a stone cold atrocity!
Why is it that every update brings some kind of fresh new hell to the users?
Why have you changed it from pages to a single scrolling feed? It doesn’t even work properly. I’ll open a new thread and it’ll randomly start three quarters of the way down the page instead of the top comment.
Please bring back the pages format so we can decide what page we want to go to.

Why remove jump to page???
That threads now load on scroll is a pain in the backside, when some sticky threads don’t go to the last unread post. Being able to jump to a page/skip to an end was a good feature that has been frustratingly removed.

Using a browser you’re pestered to use this app. When you take the time to download it you’re pestered with “wrong password” or some other error. Don’t bother resetting your password, it’s not you. I’ve tried it and still get the error. There’s also the workaround of deleting the app and reinstalling it and logging back in to all your forums. Only to get the same problem. Just use your web browser and dismiss the Tapatalk prompts. It will save you hours.

Very useful app and I’m glad the developer has got it updated for the iPhone X
I often visit online forums and thankfully I’m able to access them through this app.
The developer has done an excellent job with the new look of the app and also making the app optimised for the iPhone X larger and more higher resolution screen.

Password
Was a good app until it kept telling me my password had run out. What ever that meant! Logged out and back in still telling me the same!! Can’t be bothered as it just seems like to much hassle.

Before it was pretty straightforward to use... now it’s so over complicated with sub sub menus. Everything is hidden. I’ve deleted it from my devices. And gone back to just using safari.

Completely Useless
Almost every time you find a forum you are prompted to use it via tapatalk. However, once you do this you will find that instead of tapatalk giving you access to other useful forums, it leads you instead to sales sites, or pseudo forums that double as sales sites. I recommend you to ignore the invites to tapatalk every time and simply use the for you want natively.

I dare not upgrade on iPad
The split screen view on the iPad is essential for me as a forum moderator as it allows me to quickly skip around the unread threads. Dropping this functionality is a real loss to what was a great app.
I don’t like sitting with old versions as there is a risk that you lose functionality normally buy Quoord seem to do that for us anyway with each retrograde build.

More features added, yet basics still don’t work
The latest update moves a lot of the UI, making the most useful screen (to me), much harder to find (unread).
That said, simple things like italic text aren’t rendered, and haven’t been for a long time.
Please, focus on getting the basics right before tinkering around with the user flow (and making it worse)!

Every update you make things worse. The interface becomes more awkward and difficult to navigate, making it basically unusable?! Time to delete it...
