This game it’s pretty basic and that’s what makes it cool. It’s easy and there’s plenty of weapons. But it needs an update. Definitely needs more weapons and levels. And could even do bonus weapons like, nuclear bombs/missiles, tornadoes, lightning strikes etc. come guys, bring this old cool game back to life……Please

Probably the worst game I’ve ever played, bought out of nostalgia for the old game on PC, paid the 99p and was left with an poorly ported game, with terrible physics, horrible gameplay, the controls are way too sensitive and the levels are impossible to get gold on

If you can get into the mindset that this is a classic, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable game and for 99p it’s great entertainment.

Overrated

I read the reviews and thought that this would be great. I can’t believe how basic it is for both the graphics and the gameplay. You see the castle, then it zooms to the launcher. You launch by trying to remember where you wanted to hit the castle (which is not a castle by the way). Why can’t you zoom in and out to see the target?? This is a very very poor take off of Angry Birds in my opinion. The screams of the dead, and the music of success start to irritate you very quickly. Pretty rubbish really.

Pretty average

It’s enjoyable but very basic game.

No idea why they can’t add more physics to it for example wood snapping when boulders smash into them, stone crumbling, better blast mechanics on the explosives.

All basic stuff which you would expect would be improved upon over time but it’s a shame it’s a bare bones gameplay.

Difficulty on some levels

I understand some levels are supposed to be hard, but they shouldnt be in-fking-possible!!!! Like in that level in skull island, Nevermore, no matter the agle of the throw i cannot get it to the wooden planks!! Fix it!!!

Good but there's a glitch

Played the game and was fantastic. Good controls and the graphics run smoothly even on my old 2nd g iPod touch. However, I have completed all the levels to gold standard and for each of the last ones, I lost a weapon on the build your own. Not good (that's the glitch). Also, as I have completed all the levels, I wish there was more levels to download. So an update and downloadable content is what is needed.

Absolutely loved the game. Completed it now would love more levels. Only downsides are easy to start a new game wiping where you're up to ( thanks son) password to start new game would be good. Also as someone else said ability to zoom out and see whole area would be great. Thanks for a great game

Features that would make this better would be a zoom out so that you can see the target and your weapon at the same time. Also the ability to zoom in on your target so that you can plan your shots better.

Castle destroying fun

Ive had this game for well over a year and still play it. Fantastic game for destroying things, but there are now better options out there with superior physics and gameplay, so I will drop a star. It just needs something different to catapult it back into popularity, such as a graphics makeover, or some kind of scoring/ranking system. It is a little boring with the only objective of killing, why not add scores? Extra content is needed really. Great game though, and recommend.

People say this is the same as angry birds. It can't be because this game was on the Internet ages ago as a computer game and they then put it on the iPod. I think angry birds copied this.

Great game

There are very few games I have found that feel like the controls are designed for the iPod. There is uisally some button that just does not want to click or difficult to use controls. But I am glad to say this is not one of them - the game is easy to control and play.

I am slightly disappointed at the amount you can play but no game is perfect. 5/5.

If you're not sure if you'll like this or not, then go google it, and you can play the flash variant of the game online. Definitely worth the money though.

Good but...

Firstly let me say good job, the game works well in it's self and is entertaining to play, all of the complaining angry birds being better should probable do just that.

The only thing that I would suggest on improving, is te camera. I want to be able to see all of the trebuchet and the castle in a single shot not have to choose between each one.

Missing 'Uber' Weapon

Brilliant Game, I loved playing it from start to finish but when you get a Gold Medal for every castle in the game, you get a 'unrivaled' weapon, a purple potion, where the hell is it? I've looked on both islands, the create your own castle and nothing, I can't figure out how to use the 'uber' weapon :(

Amazing

Really one of the best games I've played yet. Simple to start with, the more powerful weapons you unlock the better strategies you can implement later when you return to a level to gold star it. Even comes with a level editor. Brilliant. Please release more levels and weapons!

Good game, came out ages before AB, but desperatly needs an update or CTC2! I know CTC2 has come out on the Internet. In answer to the question below, the purple bottle must be thrown at something. If it hits the ground it does nothing. Let it hit the castle, and then wait a couple of seconds...

I would highly recommend purchasing this, has kept me amused for quite a few days doing a bit at a time. Finally completed all 90+ with gold ....but note to developers, the blue ammo is too over powered. Would like more islands for more fun times please.

Very Good! 

This is a very enjoyable and lovable game, I haven't got bored of it yet and I have had it for a while now. The graphics are excellent with very realistic reactions, but sometimes there not, firing the soldiers miles away! But it's so funny!. The various ammunition also makes the game better, giving you different ways of taking down the enemies castle. There are many levels but are a easy to complete only 1 or 2 which are hard but drastacly need more! The extra feature of making your own castle and taking it down and also saving that castle makes it so much better, but please O' please add more levels. Thanks you for reading!

It's okay but ...................

All previous points well made - great fun, amusing death screams, interesting weapons etc. but poor playability if I am buying an app I would like it to have some longevity which this lacks - once you've achieved gold on every castle with one shot what else do you do ? A few hours of fun but disappointing lifespan of app !

Really good game. If your not sure about it try the free version and also try the pc version. I also like the way that then screen shakes when you hit things - effect! A must buy for sure

This is a very simple YET difficult and HIGHLY addictive game! I couldn't put it down and am really looking forward to an update that will hopefully add more levels and weapons...thank you so much to the developers of the game...let's just hope that Cover Orange and Wake The Box will come to the iPod Touch soon too :-)

Catapultastic!

Great little game, but as others have said, it's all over too soon :-( More levels, maps and ammunition would be good. I'd particularly like to see live cats offered as an ammo choice, complete with plaintive mewing whilst in flight - and a satisfying splat on impact! ;-)

Get a bomb and hit the bit of wood For the one in the top right for the other one just roll it over the ramp so it goes in the pot thing and let it explode hope it helps. Now my review I loves it nothing wrong with it but more lvls would be great thx.

Flintlock help

I would like to start off by saying that this is a really hood game and well worth the money.



FLINTLOCK: Use the bomb > Release it late so that it rolls up the 1st ramp and lands next to the little log > It should fire the tiny log at the structure and knock it down. Hope it helps 

Meh

Okay I bought this when it first came out I completed it and it gave me that epic wirlpool weapon which has gone somewhere?

I waited and I waited for an update the i heard one had been released...I was very exited...recently I completed the first island ( so epic ) no wirlpool thingy? went onto skull island and i was absolutely DISGUSTED! i mean the fire weapon is appaling, it acts nothing like what fire should do...burning things maybe? and there is no sound...WTF!!! i am appaled!



Good game, but the difficulty curve is ridiculous for muskett/flintlock to suddeny be 'until-I-fluke-it' impossible. You're making a game, not trying to give people coronaries through frustration. Get the balancing right.

Bringing down the castle

A simple, yet brilliant app. Simple concept and controls, with more complexity and strategy added as you progress.

If you love the idea of knocking stuff down with big rocks - buy it! If you're unsure try the Lite version!

Ok I said this was too hard but iv just finished skull island so 5 stars allround!!

Some hints:

If u hate the fire potion start a new game get 50 gold in acturia then when you go to skull island ull hav the small stone cluster, and don't worry there are much more awesome weapons to unlock throughout skull island :)

Great game!, shame about skull island

This is a great game that is just hard enough.

The only thing I don't like is what everyone else is saying, skull island is way too hard with just the fire potion, we need a way to continue playing our original game but be able too use some of the old weapons. I have heard that by restarting and getting all golds you do get a small rock cluster which sounds great but why should we have to do the whole game so far again, an update would really really help.

PS: don't give it a low rating just because of skull island, it is still an amazing game without skull island!

Great little app

The game is good and easy to get into and play. Defeating each castle can take seconds to minutes so is a good game to play when you've got only a few minutes to fill.

However game over far too quick. Completed all challenges in a bout 10 minutes. Thats far too short!

Good but short

If like me you spend a bit of time following the wife round shops, then you need a game like this. Whilst she is looking to see if a red vase will go with your red sofas (whole process taking at least 20 minutes), you can be smashing down enemy walls attempting to get the grand prize at the end.

Good simple graphics with addictive gameplay, the length of the game wasnt quite there, but hoping future updates will bring more levels.

Overall this game is a bit like Christmas. Great fun whilst you're playing, but over before you know it.

Best game for iPhone but...

It is a really good game simple to pick up and then hard to put down but it needs an update. More levels, more castles and more weapons! For £1.19 you can't complain to much but this could very well be an amazing must have game if it was updated with the same concept just more to do!

I love this game! It only has one problem, it needs more levels! When you complete it and get the 3 bombs it is easy to get all gold! The potion is awsome!!! Please do an update with more levels!!!!

The best game on the iPhone!!!

I absolutly loved this game! I tried the lite version first and was hooked. It's so much fun and you have to use your head to work out the best way to destroy the targets. I loved the phisics used as things react to being hit in a realistic way. The level editor is fun but a little tricky to master but works perfectly. The only downside is there aren't that many levels so it's completed to quickly, please please please make an update with tons of levels! I would of given it 5 stars if it had more castles to crush! All in all I would recomend this totaly it's ace :-)
