Accurate, but very confusing interface

OCR function works well - but the interface has become more and more bewildering with successive updates,. It's now highly unintuitive: I frequently get stuck, and end up having to start again. I've never sure quite what has happened to the results...

All deleted

I've had this app for years and have scanned all business cards and then thrown them away. Opened the app today and ALL cards were deleted. Unable to retrieve them. This is totally unacceptable and should not happen.

Great App

Really great app to consolidate all your business cars, which I have many of.

It doesn't always read the cards correctly, but that is more due to the unique design of the cards.

I like that once a card is loaded into the app and that person rings you, it shows their name. Although its missing a trick in not showing the company name at the same time. This can be a pain when you have many cards loaded and haven't spoken to a person in a while.

A must for those that get a lot of business cards

I have used this app for at least 3yrs and I would highly recommend this app saves me a great deal of time and it goes straight to my work contact details.

Constant crashes

Haven't been able to upload one card yet as the program crashes as soon as I choose an option. I'm £4.99 down and all I've got is a crashy app taking up phone memory, I'll have to delete the app.

I am a convert! This saved me so much time!

I am just back from a conference and had a pile of business cards of people I had met and are potential leads for work. I started to manually enter onto my iPhone and gave up as so tedious. Found this app - fantastic. Really simple point at the card & click with my phone camera (Optical Character Recognition technology in the words of the stuff on the app!) and it fills in all the fields. Have now synched with my Google contacts. Even worked with email signatures from another contact. Think I will do it right there at my next conference when given a card - and save me bringing back all those cards!

Really cool

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this really needed to be written. This app just works and it's a great way of storing all of the business cards I collect at conferences. I particularly love the photo conversion feature, where you take a photo of a business card and it reads the text and makes an electronic record of it. It also imported all my Google contacts and I can use it on emails to import signatures too. Just cool.

Very helpful app for me easily Synchroniz my contacts from my google id and very protcetive for me as it works only by my id signature and ORC feature is really awesome and it works prefectly . No doubt best and prefect app for ever.

Best Business Card Reader by FAR!

WorldCard Mobile is one of the best Business Card readers currently in the App Store, after testing many other apps, this app was the only one that done the job right! There has been many revisions of this App and PenPower have made it flawless by far!

By far, the best in the AppStore!

Really impressed with the Optical Character Recognition in action and the ability to capture even the email signature and quickly add it in my contacts. Synchronisation with google contacts is another winner for me. Works quickly and smoothly, saves you time and money, really useful! Have tried others but they do not come near this one. Performs really well with the other languages, (helpful because I have contacts in Italian and Greek and travel a lot) recognised everything perfectly.

The modern way

I always wondered what would replace the traditional business card and this is it. What a fantastic way to keep a log of all your business contacts . This is a great app and I highly recommend it. It works well and is simple to use.

Clever and really handy app

I have found this to be such a simple yet clever idea. I often get various business cards and they soon clutter up my wallet before being thrown into my bag. Then when I wanted one, I had the hassle of trying to dig the one I wanted out. With WorldCard I can photo and add them to the built in contacts via some nifty OCR software. Also been impressed with how well it handles foreign business cards when I have traveled to Europe. As such a simple but useful app I recommend it to anyone who gets handed lots of business cards.

Simply amazing

Over the years I must have collected hundreds of business cards through various trade shows I have attended, I only wish I had known about this app earlier. This app is amazing it will help me keep in touch with the contacts I have made, as previously I end up either loosing the cards or just thrown into a drawer never to be seen again.

Must for business people...

This is the app mainly designed for business people like me. It's very useful to attend meetings and get the card details from the officials(without carrying them to home.. lol.. just carrying the card details within the device). I like the card holder function that I can make a phone call and email to my contacts directly.

Time saver app!

A Great Business App

Worldcard Mobile

As a Graphic designer I find this app fantastic for keeping the business cards that I accumulate during networking events. No more lost cards! I find that it can some times it can be a little difficult to get the app to recognize the text on certain cards, on theses occasions I find rescanning the card usually helps to resolve the issue.

It just doesn't work

I've tried this on my iPad 2 and it hasn't successfully imported a single card into my address book. I've ensured that there is plenty of light but the names still have errors and not once has it successfully found a phone number. It clearly works for some but on the iPad 2 I would steer clear.

Poor performance on ipad2

Tried it with multiple cards and it did not recognise a single one properly. It might work better on an iPhone, but cannot recommend it for use on an ipad2. Misspelled names and could not even get phone numbers correctly...

Over the years I've tried most offerings that purport to functionally scan business cards to address books! This app beats everyone hands down! You have to learn lighting limitations but that's all really: it's just great with iCloud, from iPhone to PC instantly :-)

Fast, and works really well

I'm surprised at how fast and useful this app is. Usually, text recognition is slow or unreliable, whereas this works a treat.

I've had a few instances where the app doesn't recognise some text, until I manually select it and tell the app that what it's seeing is a name or email address, but this happens rarely.

Extremely useful app!

This is such a useful app,

I'm forever losing business cards and finding them everywhere and not knowing where any certain one is.

WorldCard has fixed all of these problems and I now have all the business cards I collect in on app.

I know exactly where they are. It does such a good job of scanning them and very rarely gets infomation wrong. It just looks amazing and clients are shocked when I say "Can I take your business card... on my iPhone?". This app has become a regular in my life and whithin having it only a short peroiod of time I've got all my recent clients business cards. This is a must have for any business man or woman who forgets or loses business cards. This app is just brilliant, I never thought I'd need it until I had it. It's just open, scan and its in and there's nothing more to worry about!

Amazing!

This app is amazing for reading business cards, every other application that I have used doesn't even compare to this. This accuracy of it is amazing. It is extremely useful for keeping business cards in your iDevice instead of keeping them in your pocket where you may end up losing them.

Fantastic app, essential for keeping the bulk in my pockets down after networking events. I'm now able to really quickly snap a business card I'm given and dispose of it.

Syncs with iCloud or Dropbox which is essential for me as I'm able to review all my contacts easily on my iPad too.

All in all this is a must have app if you're looking for business card organisation on your device. Perfect!

Awesome app for scanning business cards!

A very useful app. I love networking and meeting new people and end up with lots of business cards each week.

This software is what I was waiting for. It is really easy to use and one om my most used apps on my iphone.

One feature that I like is that it can export card information to Excel/CSV/Gmail file. It works very well.

The scanning is quick and accurate. I can fully recommend it, the app is worth the price and no wonder that it won the ‘Best Mobile App OCR’.

Give it a try, you won´t be disappointed. 5 Stars from me!

ACCURATE AND HELPFUL APP

Am never sure whether to take the plunge and buy an app or not but I'm so pleased that I bought this one. Has saved me loads of time and provided me with an easy way to get organised and stay organised. If you have a stack of business cards like I did, then this is the app for you. I honestly don't know what I did before I got it. (Well I know what I did...I lived my life with a drawer full of business cards and every time I opened that drawer, I felt bad.) LOL.

not working for me...

after having read the review i just bought the product for my iPhone (after having tried a free one which did not work at all either…).

I have tried using it with some business cards - only to find that either NOTHING was recognised or i had to turn of my iPhone completely and restart as it kept whirring away without achieving any results.

any suggestions, tricks, etc. how to get this to work?
