I don't understand what I'm paying for. Every time I try to play music the app resets (every 2 minutes) and then im forced to reopen the app, my playlist, and pick a song time and time again. It's ridiculous and I shouldn't be paying £12.99 for this. This has been happening for many months now (on and off) and soundcloud hasn't even attempted to fix this glitch or send an apology. I can't even listen to my music despite me paying (in my opinion) a largely overpriced subscription fee? This is horrific and I hope soundcloud is held responsible.

I’ve been using soundcloud for years and I loved it. Great selection of music and artist, especially loved the way it’s recommended certain in tracks and artists. However, lately I’ve been getting (80% of the time) recommendations of music which I genuinely dislike. The ‘not interested’ button is essential. Because if I don’t skip a song the algorithm gets out of whack and then I’m stuck with suggested tracks that I really don’t like. The whole enjoyment of using Soundcloud for me was that I would always discover music that I like. Now the this feature is not available. I’d give it 5* but the issue is that I don’t enjoy user experience as I did before.

I have to say I don’t write much on admin if ever but s.c has and still remains a fantastic platform to hear future artists music and a great way to reach out and get feedback from listeners … good work . Don’t change it too much it’s nice like it is . Would be nice if we could have more space on the paid accounts . I’ve got hundreds of hours of radio I can’t upload for some reason . I always think it’s the wav files being too big possibly. Anyways all good from me soundcloud people’s . I’ve had an account for many many years and intent on using youre service for many years to come .

I’ve been using this app for years, 95% of the music I listen to (techno) I use SoundCloud for and I cannot fault it in any way shape or form! But, on the playlist feature (on the mobile app) there’s no way of seeing if you’ve already added a track to a playlist, on the computer app/website it says “added” if you’ve already put the same track in a playlist, it would be really great if we could have something like that on the mobile app, maybe a static tick through the middle of the playlist or have the word “added” on there somewhere! Apart from that I love using this app and will continue to everyday!

I have used this app for over 15/16 years & I have always thought it the best music service I could ever have! Even when they started doing adverts & not being able to listen offline! But as always money comes in to it! Shame, because there is no way that I am going to pay a monthly fee or subscription fee for anything in my life!! I don’t have enough disposable income for the next £28 charge that I receive from my bank because you hadn’t taken it on the agreed date, but either 2weeks before or 2weeks after!!! So good luck trying to get anymore money from me now as actually people owe me money for “Bank charge’s”. But thank you for an amazing application. Px

As another reviewer has stated, the stats are currently broken and I have to use the desktop version to see my play stats! This has been happening on and off with the last few updates. One update will fix it, the next breaks it again. Why can’t the stats on the app show the data as the desktop version? The mobile app is and always has been hours behind (when it working that is, unlike currently). Instead of messing around with the app design I’d prefer it if you fix bugs and do more to stop the huge number of bots that permeate the site!

Soundcloud overall is really good until recent times, I always go onto Soundcloud and it just never loads up. Like the Homepage doesn’t load up and I can’t search for songs. I do try closing Soundcloud and opening it again but sometimes it doesn’t help and I have to try it like 3-4 times and eventually it works. Another problem I have is whenever i’m listening to music (Let’s say edit audios for example) I’ll turn off my phone and after a certain amount of time the audio just stops and when I turn my phone on again Soundcloud has just closed itself. Please can you fix these bugs? because I really love Soundcloud and these bugs are just ruining it.

Soundcloud has been my main streaming service for a few years now but in recent weeks it has been slow and unreliable as the app crashes about 30 seconds into playing a song. I have never experienced this before. I have made sure everything is up to date and as far as I’m aware nobody else is having this issue. It’s very frustrating as I listen to my music in every occasion and it’s part of my daily lifestyle but I can’t be being paying a monthly subscription price to only listen to 30 seconds of a song. Use this for my Mixes in Pioneer DJ etc.
It’s really good but a cpl of issues that I have:-
1:- I pay for Soundcloud Go+ but using it through Rekordbox to do mixes on Pioneer DDJ 800, it will not let you record the mix, says it’s a live streaming app…surely this can be unlocked to allow you to record it??
2:- When scrolling through new music to save to playlist, it doesn’t tell you if you already have it saved and where if you have? I have loads of playlists so sometimes forget what you have.
3:- Again when scrolling through new music, it doesn’t tell you which genre the music is recognised into, obvs as a Dj (Amateur) I should know but sometimes listening back or mixing from a playlist they don’t seem to be in the correct playlist where I initially placed it…so many different genres…

Ok so I’ve had soundcloud for 3 years at this point (holy hell it’s been 3 years?!) I actually got it because me and my friend used it to listen to anime music while drawing at school (it was allowed dw) I used to only listen to anime music on it, and it was awesome. I then have now moved to English music. I have several playlists and enjoy it in my general life. I’d be lost without. Though as time goes on the ads feel like they are after every single song. This is way too much when I’m just trying ti study, calm down, block people out or cry over owl house.
That’s kinda my only fair con. While I don’t like how half my favourite songs are go + only that’s kinda fair. Money.

Been using SoundCloud on and off for years, and had a large built up playlist of all the music I’ve listen to over the years. Went to listen today and found ALL my music completely wiped from my liked list…
I never bothered creating playlists as I never felt the need to, but I feel complete regret not doing so as they seem to be the only thing it’s kept (I had a couple saved playlists of others).
Was completely fine the other day, but now everything has just disappeared, may be due to the new update, but overall pretty disappointed.

I Tried to create an account but says as soon as I press continue “sorry we’ve had a server error” I keep trying to make it work. Then, It says just at my last try “our robots think this email looks like spam” when my email is a genuine email and not spam. It gives me the choice to contact support or cancel, I press contact support, still nothing, I keep trying, still nothing. So this is where I decide to write a review, hoping that I would get contact with the support group. So please tell me what I should do, this is quite annoying like it says on the email.

Usually it’s brilliant but in the past few months it’s been crashing nonstop. Every time I turn my screen off so I can listen to it without it draining my battery life so much it stops the music. I turn the screen back on, and low and behold the app has closed itself completely. Same thing happens whenever I go to the home page or open another app. If I want to use soundcloud now I have to have my screen on and be in the soundcloud app. It never used to be like that. I don’t know why it’s happening now but nothing I do seems to fix it. It’s really annoying because it means I can’t even turn my screen off for a second without having to re open the app and find the track again.

Great app but the redesign of the layout is a bit confusing

It was super clean and well laid out before the recent update, and whilst it might look aesthetically better now, all the shapes are overlapping and irregular and it’s a bit awkward and a bit unsatisfying and feels a bit unprofessional. I think I could get behind a small redesign, but there’s slightly too much going on and it’s not as regular and easy to get around anymore.
Edit: everything looks good apart from when you get into an artists profile and their songs, and I think icons are slightly too big for a small phone screen.

SoundCloud is a wonderful app! You can listen to so many songs and artists and it’s really easy to use. I’ve rated it a four because I feel there should be a feature that even though you don’t have SoundCloud Go and that you’ve already had SoundCloud Go, you can still access your downloaded songs and playlists. I feel this would make it way easier for (for example) when you’re travelling on an airplane.
Overall, the app is really well put together and it’s really good for portable use. Really enjoy using it!

The functionality of the app has improved over the years, but still lacks loads of key features that exist in the web version.
One really frustrating example is the inability to access direct messages in the app. You have to sign in on a laptop to send or receive, and are relying on email notifications to inform you if someone has responded. Very frustrating, and potentially costly if you are a creator trying to network. I would expect this kind of apparently simple functionality to be built in to the app, particularly when I’m paying a monthly subscription.

Amazing app don’t need to buy premium just look your song up add songs to playlist and there u go all done I can’t believe all these other apps after the money the only thing I would change is less ads because there are a few ads that are just annoying but they need to earn money somehow and I think u should be able to just buy premium not just pay monthly I think u would make more money to be honest but just a heads up anyway great app recommend it to everyone

I’m really disappointed right now because when I made my soundcloud account like 3-4 years ago everything was fine I haven’t had any problems. But for some reason today I went into my soundcloud and I couldn’t sign in at all. And I’ve done my research and it’s saying for iOS you may have not updated the app but I clearly did so I don’t know what to do because I want my account back.

The app needs to include bot only all the features of pulse for Pro subscribers but also the ability to message, its the apps largest downfall and something I see mentioned daily in music groups on social media. It cannot be that hard to incorporate the “email” feature into the app. Also let us change the same things while in Edit mode on the app as you can on desktop, eg buy links etc.

I truly love Soundcloud its the only music subscription service I have ever paid for, I’ve had premium for about 2 years now, but the app is borderline unusable. Worse yet, the longer I use it the more glitchy it gets. A basic overview of the main issue is that it’s so slow to scroll through any of my liked music/albums, downloaded tracks etc, either just lagging or crashing entirely most of the time. Theres honestly more problems, like how last week it just randomly undownloaded everything I had saved, or how when adding something to a playlist it takes forever for your playlists to load, how copying links is very glitchy, or how the queuing system is still pretty rudimentary.. but honestly none of that would matter to me if the app wasn’t so laggy. please fix the lagging, its been an issue for years and never gets fixed with the updates, I dont need new features I need a functional app 😭

A once great app that is still slowly dying along drawn out death. Still has great content t but the app is poorly designed, incredibly slow to open and seems to reset itself everytime it’s put in background for use of another app meaning you have the 15 second wait for it to open each time you wish to use it again. Surely this could be resolved quite easily as it wasn’t always the case, if only you could revert back to older versions.
Edit: after the latest update May 21 the app is now virtually un useable, even slower and more buggy now unable to even scroll through my favourites, sort it out eh! Oh and maybe reply to support emails

So I’ve been using soundcloud for ages now and as I’m pretty young I don’t have the most advanced phone (iPhone 6). My mums old phone. Great app lovely until I can’t use it anymore because of iOS 13. Which iPhone 6 does not have so that’s very annoying. I’d appreciate if an older version could be used for people like me. Thanks. Great app for people who do have better phones though!! (Edit) if you try downloading it in the App Store it does let you get an older version so never mind what I have said 😅

I used to love it, I probably still will when I’m felling better about this situation it helped me get out songs of mine and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately I pressed log out by accident and it logged me out. It was an account I made years ago so obviously I don’t remember the password so I couldn’t get back in. For this I would suggest soundcloud have an “are you sure you want to log out” button because that would’ve saved my account. And what’s worse is I create a new account to start again and when I’m changing the name, pfp ect, when I press save it says they’ll send me an email to verify it’s me... first of all why? And the funny thing is, they didn’t send the email now I have no account to upload music to, thanks soundcloud

I just wish u could pick one or two tracks or something to play offline without having to get pro or plus but apart from that I love it. The sound quality is fantastic, great selection. I’ve always enjoyed listening to the slowed down versions of songs are there are so many of these on SoundCloud. I looked over some other reviews and saw that some people were annoyed at having to pay to play songs offline or about the app being really laggy. The app works perfectly well for me but I’ve only had it for a few months at most and all the complaints about lag are all from years ago, so honestly if your wondering about it lagging it won’t. Also for the people who say the app is bad purely because of having to pay to get offline music I recommend downloading an app that may not have as large of a selection or as good sound quality and using it for when you have no WiFi, for example I use AudioMack. 10/10 would recommend.

I love the app and use it everyday but the only issue I’m having right now is that when I went to went onto the app it told me I need to ‘create an account’ so I clicked on ‘I already have an account’. Then I entered my gmail account and It wouldn’t let me in and told me there was an error, then I tried my ICloud (it was either my iCloud or gmail because I only have two email accounts) and that wouldn’t work either!!
I deleted it and now it’s telling me I have no storage when I do!! You guys seriously need to fix this issue because I’m not happy with it and I just want to listen to my music!
What should I do?! I don’t want to create a new account!

It’s almost perfect, I’ve had soundcloud for about a year or so and I really enjoy listening to my favourite songs and it’s great that you can upload your own music, making you able to listen to edit audios, slowed songs and some tiktoks which is a bonus. It’s like you’ve got everything you listen to but on a mini built in radio on your phone 😂
However, I only gave it four stars because I thought you could listen offline, (unless that’s just for soundcloud GO(+)?)
I used to listen to the 30 second songs since I don’t want to pay money to listen to premium and to listen to how they sound but for some reason it’s stopped? Apart from that it’s really great, I’m still trying to connect my email to my account so I can change the name and pfp but asides everything else it’s rlly fun and the adverts may be 2 at once but it’s short so not much of an issue.

This app is probably the best music app I’ve had! There is one thing I say you should add. A delete song button. I had to delete all my history so I could get the songs out of my history. I know you could just skip the song but there was so many songs I didn’t know in my history! Good think i hearted the songs I wanted in my history because I didn’t have to write all of them down bc it would be there! This app is really good I really recommend it!

I can’t afford premium therefore using the free version and fair enough I know that the free version has a few adverts in between songs but they really do overplay them. I don’t know about everyone else but I listen to music when I’m at my highest and lowest points, I use it to listen to when I’m trying to block out things that are dragging me down, and let’s just say the averts ruin everything. And it seems to be when your at your worst and plays extra adverts. It’s easier to shut the whole app down and reopen it rather than wait for the stupid advert to be done with.

I heard they were doing a revamp of the app and was looking forward to seeing some improvements. When I updated the app I was so disappointed to see it’s gone even further backwards. The new stats layout with its curvy graph layout is clunky, poorly set out difficult to digest the stats IMO. There’s still no option on the app to respond to messages. Now I see they’ve given the desktop version the same treatment and I like using sound cloud less and less each time there’s an update. Sort it out guys!

I use this app so much to listen to, or upload free music. I have a large following and it’s all good. But recently anytime I try to follow anyone back it comes up with “ooops an unexpected error has occurred” and I can’t upload and if they do upload, they still exist they just disappear from the “uploads” section altogether. And aren’t available without a link. And when I can’t see the comments??? I also can’t comment on public vids. I’m only allowed to reply to comments and that’s it. Soundcloud please fixed this as my whole soundcloud is screwed up. I would appreciate if you could reply and give me advice on what to do as I’m stuck. Anyways thank you for the amazing, free app 😊. This app is really not good I would rate it no stars if I could. someone should have got in-contact with me when I need the payments to stop and no one would help and I had to end up deleting my account on it so I’m hoping that payments may stop now but I’m not even sure and if they are still going through I’m not going to at all be impressed I’m not happy at all with this app and I would not recommend it to anyone so honestly i think that the people working this app need to start helping us all out on it when the customers need it but I hope that you working on this app will actually get it in order and make it more easy to use because this app was not simple and horrible I don’t recommend this and that’s is why I would put 0 stars if I could. As a musician and DJ it is difficult to find a place to share mixes which include long sections of pure unedited copyrighted music that are vital to a good mix as well as not get caught out with your produced music clashing with someone else’s in a poorly scripted copyright algorithm, until I found SoundCloud, now I can finally express myself without people stealing my livelihood and playing it in front of a bigger audience than I could ever receive. Finally people, when things are well again, will be able to be recognised for their individual talent and their will be proof, as long as SoundCloud’s severs stay secure, of who discovered what in the world of music first. Thank God for SoundCloud!

Soundcloud is my best music app, and I am not considering on writing a bad review. In fact, I think it’s great; a lot of free music everyone loves! I have been wanting to post some tracks on my account to make other people feel the same as I do when I search up a song and find a free, and very good track but a complete stranger. I’ve used this app for since December 2014 and it’s been the best thing ever man but one problem is on my iPhone I can’t seem to refresh the playlists when I’m trying to add a new song to them , I have 5 playlists and when I wanna add a track to playlist 1 , only playlist 4 and 5 show up and ever since the new update it’s hard to refresh it so it can load the other 3 , this frustrating since you guys put a cap on how many songs can fit into one playlist innit , like please fix this

I thought this would be a worthy replacement for Mixcloud as I have noticed some of the artists that I listen to migrating to Soundcloud. I just can’t get used to the user interface in particular you can’t seem to create a play queue and the playlist isn’t played through. But the killer for me was that within days of creating my account I received a follower that was nothing more than pornographic spam. I could not see any option to block the follower and Soundcloud’s own instructions to do so didn’t work either.
I don’t need this on my phone and I’m pretty disgusted with Soundcloud for not making a block option more visible. My only option has been to delete the app.

this app is amazing! i love all of the features. however some songs, you will have to have premium to play them. e.g paying £4 a month. however most of the songs don’t contain any premium! you can also play music offline by playing 1 sec of the song then turn of your WiFi then BOOM YOUR MUSIC IS PLAYING! even when your on the airplane too it’s amazing. i hope you all will enjoy the app as i am too. also this app isn’t just about music, you can listen to speeches and stuff too! will continue using this app for a VERY LONG TIME.

I’ve read reviews about people saying that they had problems with this app. So far this has met all my needs and perfectly suits what I need (just a good tune to brighten up my commute)
I only have one problem and it’s that there are too many ads. You get a 30 second unskippable ad every 3 songs or so and I get that creators (and soundcloud) want to make money but please make them less frequent
Apart from that this is an app that is perfect for me and continues to brighten up my commute. Thanks a lot

But it's got pretty bad recently! I'm paying a subscription and it'll play maybe 2 songs and then the app will crash, or when I load it up the song I click on will take a good few minutes to play, although I have downloaded it offline... I do love SoundCloud but you've gotta sort this out!

Used this platform for years. This and Podamatic! However, SoundCloud soon out grew it’s once, inspiring sibling and wow. I can’t get enough of it and they haven’t paid me to say that either.
The only little annoying thing is the recently/ not so recently introduce adds. I was gonna star ya down but then I thought
‘it’s not there fault, we live in an age of advertisement, and it paying for services.. look at ITV & Freeview, at least soundcloud still offer amazing media’
BUT
If ya gonna have the adds guys, please don’t keep playing the same one over and over and over and over.. get yaself’s a decent advertisement Campaign Team... surely you have loads of companies knocking at ya doors.. (No disrespect, current team but you have to admit, right?)

Soundcloud is a great app with amazing songs on it. Most songs can be accessed for free, but there are some you need the premium version for, but you can usually find one for free or a great remix instead. *NOTICE- YOU DO NOT NEED DATA FOR THIS* the fact that I thought it required data was the only reason I didn’t like this app, but I soon discovered that, NOPE you don’t need data. I noticed that the songs I had listened to worked fine, but he ones I had t yet were laggy. Then I realised that for a song to work without data all you have to do is listen to it once with WiFi. Not even all the way through, just skip through the song piece by piece. This is a useful hack!!! As I already said, love this app and will keep it for a long time!!

I don’t really understand why you have made everything so restricting on your app, why can you not delete accounts on the mobile app and you can literally not edit anything I’ve looked everywhere to try and delete my old account or change the name of it atleast.
I also don’t understand why you can not remove old music.
And if you can do all this and I just haven’t found it then I have another question why have you made it sooo hard to find all these things I’ve checked the Internet Version of this and it’s even worse, don’t get me wrong the songs are good and the whole reputation of soundcloud is decent, but I don’t see why you have brought this application onto a mobile platform if you can LITERALLY not do anything.

I downloaded soundcloud because my cousins,brother and friends had the app. I really wanted to know what the big rave was about it and it was worth it. You can make an account in minuets and have songs and remixes of them. One thing I think they could definitely work on is the amount of ads. It totally kills the song but other than that I would a hundred percent rate it. You are seriously missing out on some of the bangers of songs there are on this app.

Occasionally i happen to experience this bug in which an ad will occur, however will not play and simply play the next song after a few seconds of silence... this seems like a positive thing for someone without premium however this then continues to occur after each and every song finishes. It is beginning to get quite annoying despite the quick temporary fix of re-loading the app. Thanks for reading and i love the Soundcloud app!

I downloaded soundcloud as It looked like a good app but I realised I had to pay a month to listen to the normal versions of the song not covers but as it was my first time on it, it said that I have one month free trial, so I pressed it and I didn’t have to pay until the end of the month and I thought they are just going to email me that my trial is over and if I want to carry on I have to start paying but they didn’t and I haven’t realised that they been taking my money all that time since my trial ended. I am very disappointed that they just took my money without letting me know and that I wasn’t informed that my trial is over and I have to start paying now.

App continually keeps freezing, reposts duplicating on my profile when I’m scrolling through all my reposts, songs disappearing, it’s just not good enough. This would all be bad enough if the full streaming experience was free!! The fact I pay for soundcloud PLUS and soundcloud PRO and all this nonsense still persists is joke. Not only are these constant bugs a problem, soundcloud have decreased the streaming quality significantly, so all us users that pay with our hard earned money are no longer getting what we pay for, not even close.
The design and concept of the app is without a doubt the best on the market and has opened up the world of music for me like nothing else could. However all this is worthless if the app itself can’t function. Please please get these problems fixed ASAP.

Started off as a brilliant app has gradually got worse and worse. Songs I've liked have gone missing,app freezes and shuts itself down when I repost songs. Seems like the app gets worse and worse with every update. Sort it out,I pay money to listen to songs I like ,not songs I like and disappear.... SoundCloud app has really gone downhill recently,I spend hours looking for music just to check my likes and the music not to be there. Please sort it out,getting really frustrating now and I'm not the only one. If you actually interacted with customers or checked comments on your Facebook/social media pages maybe you would understand that things need to be done. Hopefully this review gets looked at and taken into consideration and something gets done.

Sorry for complaining, but... There is this bug with iOS 11 where whenever music is playing and you change to another app, the music stops playing and the track just starts speeding up really quickly without any noise or anything. So the music stopped while the track was also speeding up so fast my SoundCloud keeps going to the next song. It’s really frustrating for when I’m trying to listen to music while drawing on digital art, so please, could you try and fix this? Thanks, and once again, sorry..

I only give this ⭐️⭐️⭐️(3 stars) because as everyone says nothing is perfect I have loved this but the only issue I have is that when I go to listen to music offline it plays robin Schulz ok (love this song😸) but I go to play country roads remix and at 18 seconds the song stops and doesn't play anything else and all the other songs are the same only robin Schulz ok song will actually play for me and nothing else will plz fix this I like a lot more song than 1 and I would like to go for a walk with out just hearing the same song being repeated cuz u have no money on ur fone to have 3G to listen online so yeah fox this thx
