Lost its appeal

Played this game a long time and getting bored with it now. The collections dont feel like treasures anymore, u dont get the same thrill of picking stuff up as the “treasures” arent really treasures anymore. There has to be a story behind each collection which isnt very appealing as the collections are more goblins and witches rather than diamonds and jewels. Im also pretty sure the no1 player who uses various alias on various phones is a cheat who gps jumps picking treasures up that you would feel are quite safe in obscure locations. Sad as use to really enjoy this game but can see it being deleted soon.

Longevity and appeal

Been playing this game for a long time now, and it still keeps me engaged unlike a lot of others that loose their appeal, it has a brilliant community playing it and the developers are brilliant in responding to queries and helping if you have issues, highly recommended 👍🏻

Best location based app!

I downloaded this app as I was curious as to what it was all about and now I'm glad I did. I spend a lot of time out of the house, travelling for work and walking our dog when I'm at home. This app makes simple walks or exploring new surroundings fun and interesting. Great app!

Best review

Excellent game with one major flaw, the players who have had the game from early doors are bullies swallowing up new players to keep them low level, unless you have lots of money for add-ons or are mates with these travelling truckers and pillaging pirates you stand little chance of beating them.

That being said if you live in a little rural town with no other player in a 50mile radius you can quite happily enjoy collecting the brilliantly thought out treasures. ( just watch out for those truckers!!)

How to con you out of money

What a blag... Clever to remove you from your money.. The game generates fake treasure to dig just out of your area.. That even another device cannot find.. So lose lose if you travel to find it.. Found treasure in some odd unreachable places you can't possibly reach ... Give this a miss a save yourself a life before you crash while searching..it's dangerous -10

Good But Beware Addicted Players

TQ is a fun game to play, especially if you travel around. However it is very very difficult for new players to make any advancement without buying additional add on packs of doubloons to upgrade. Sadly there are addicted players who seem hell bent on amassing just as much of anything they can in totalitarian quest for dominance which will easily discourage a new player floundering at Level 1 or 2 who buries a couple of things to try and earn some gold and it's just swallowed up. And obviously as they are low level they aren't going to be able to detect much and replace what was lost to them.

That being said the treasure collections are fun and well thought out.

If your willing to spend money to purchase upgrades quickly and are able to avoid the bigger players for long enough without your buried treasure getting pilfered it's a nice little game.

Best game on the iPhone!

We have all downloaded the highly rated free games, play them for a week or two and get board of it. Now some of us will pay a pound or two if a game is really popular and has the 5 stars. And in the end may play it for a whole month. This game however is very different. I have been playing this game every day for over 18 months!

This game is very simple, you get a few maps to treasure locations, go there and dig them up. As there are collections of different treasures you soon feel the need to find them all. Some treasures are harder to find which add to the challenge (and addiction).

I can not rate this game enough, you never run out of maps as the NPC/bots are dropping new maps near to you (as long as you play the game) ever few hours. New sets of treasures come out out every month of two, so this game is getting bigger all the time.

The sooner you start to play this the better, as this game will only get more popular. Forget the small price and play this game!

Awesome real world fun

Found my first treasure, made me feel like a kid again.

This app is more than a game it's a real world adventure that uses the GPS function of your iPhone.

Players can bury and find virtual treasures, set traps, buy and sell maps using in game currency, (no real money purchases are required)

There is no geographical boundaries so you can search for and bury anywhere in the world the only limitations are how far you want to travel.

A treasure taken from the UK increases in value the further it is taken, check out the Facebook page to see who is playing, the developers are constantly active within the community and are quick to answer questions.

The best location based App on the iphone (v3)

TQ has taken a the simple idea of treasure hunting and really ran with it. If you have ever dreamed of being a pirate then this is the app for you. I got it for geocaching replacement therapy but am still playing every day a year later. Admittedly there were crashing problems with the last release but version 3 has fixed them and also added some great extras

Addictive, Innovative, Connected, Global

Traveler's Quest has occupied my psyche for the last eight months or so, and has consistently been the ONLY app that I've accessed each day. No - scrap that, just about every hour, nae, every fifteen minutes (but don't tell the wife :)). TQ is addictive because it uses something that we all have - our own environment. Hunt down hidden virtual treasures around you, and bury them deep so that others can't find them. Or pick up treasures on your distant travels (hence the name!), for more gold.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this game to you. Buy it now and become completely addicted, as me and hundreds of others have!

Just crashes

It has so much potential to be great but it just crashes all the time on my iPhone 4. If I do get into the app it will crash while scanning for treasure so I basically can't do anything. Really looking forward to the update to fix it and hope the devs hire some good QA.

Cannot even open the app on my iPhone as it immediately crashes. Reported it as a problem to developers and got no reply.

despite this page stating that this game works on iPod Touch IT DOES NOT!!!!! It was only on going to their website that there is a note stating ONLY FOR iPHONE, however not sure when they last updated their webpage, all I can say is it does not work with my 4th Gen iPod Touch GRRRRRRR

Traveller's Quest, one of the most innovative apps on the iPhone

I was introduced to Traveller's Quest by a work colleague and I'm very glad I was! (even if my girlfriend isn't so pleased!)

So many good reviews have already been written about this app, and the strength of those reviews is just testament to the continued effort and dedication of the developers! The basic idea of the app makes use of the iPhone the way it should be and provides an endless source of excitement and addiction (always a sign of an awesome app!).

Traveller's Quest benefits from strikingly good looks and all round excellent presentation which pushes the players imagination further into the game. Excellent controls make this app suitable for any level of iPhone user.

Above all the stand out feature of Traveller's Quest is the interaction with other users and the developers themselves through a thriving online community on Facebook.

If you enjoy exploring or just random trips for no reason (like me!) this is the app for you!

If I could only recommend one app on my iPhone to anyone it would be this without any doubt!

I've rated this app five stats, and all of them are well deserved! Every Penny or Cent spent on this app is well worth it! If you get even half as much enjoyment out of this app as I have, you definitely won't be disappointed!

This app is just amazing, and that's just one of many words to describe it. Gets anyone off the sofa and out there gaining treasures. First thing I check when I wake up and last thing I check before I go to sleep. A must have for any user.

Best app I've ever bought

Firstly I cannot believe I've not remembered to write a review for this until now, I've been playing for about 6 months, and launch this app ever hour or so, sometimes every 10 mins if in just around the house, the whole app is simple yet soooooo addictive in a good way, it makes trips to other parts of the country extra special,there is also a fantastic community that goes with the app, so dust off your shovels and get this app now! Trust me, if you do, this app will sit in your app dock right next to iTunes, yoho yoho a pirates life for me
