Great for buying, not for selling.
I am a professional freelance writer, blogger and content creator and have worked with a number of organisations, education centres and celebrities throughout my career. I travel all over the world to peruse this.
As a whole, for me, Fiverr is brilliant. I love the concept and it’s really useful for a lot of things and I love that there’s now a wider variety of options for buying, rather than just £5 like the original concept. It’s really useful for me as a means of bettering my income, and I find it great fun too.
However, while the app is indeed easy to use and the concept works amazingly, I can’t give five starts on the App Store as the app simply doesn’t work for selling/gigs. The app and company as a whole would greatly benefit if you could do this from your smart phone as it makes it better for sellers on the go. (I travel a lot and rely on Fiverr for additional income, I hoped that installing the app would mean I could save space in luggage by not bringing my laptop, however this isn’t the case)
I also think that there are too many nonprofessionals on the service. This means that users aren’t getting the quality content/product they deserve, and is professionals are mixed in with scammers and amateurs making it harder for us to get gigs. If Fiverr could put more in place to remove less professional content, or a better rating system that puts people with legitimate qualifications higher in the listings, that would be amazing and they would earn five stars from me!

They are robbers
I gave a 5 dollar tip to a supplier and Fiverr take 2 dollars - they are scammers.they also closed down one of my accounts with a balance in it. I’m going elsewhere

Disabled my account
I downloaded the app, created a account and tried to post an add to sell (I say tried as it wasn't very straightforward) it then gave me a notification after I left the app and then I couldn't get back onto my account. I signed in through google so didn't set up a password so I clicked forgot password got the password reset now it said that my account was disabled and I cannot create a new account because I already have one. It said to solve this to contact you but gives no contact details - wasted my time

I love how quick you get a response and the fast turnaround for requests, not having to wait days on end assists with your timeline and objectives making your endeavour, whatever it may be, lighter work.
The option to have unlimited revisions is priceless, as it’s not until you see your idea in print whether it’s exactly as you imagined, needs tweaking or just not what you want.
I’m also keen to further investigate the other services available.

You can make some money with Fiverr but you have to be cautious of how you price your services as Fiverr take 20%. Then you have to take of 20% tax.
Don’t undersell yourself and you can actually make some good change on the side!
Be aware of customers who want to pay you pennies and then use your services in excess of their payment!
Fiverr can make you some fast money! 🌞👍

How to win at Fiverr
Fiverr is an appalling service for sellers, reducing their talent to a fraction of it’s actual worth and skimming percentages from BOTH the buyer and seller. It is a despicable ‘middle man’, claiming to be getting clients in touch with talent, when the way it treats its talent is with contempt and disgust. Fiverr is so heavily skewed in favour of the customer and does everything to make sellers cheap and accessible that it punishes you for the slightest thing. Want to take a planned day off for Christmas? Well it’ll put you at the bottom of the list when you get back and it’ll warn you about it as though having a single day off is unacceptable. Want to dispute an unreasonable buyer? Then sorry but the customer is always right. Always. Cancelling jobs because you’re spending hours jumping through hoops for $5 will result in strict penalties. Want to get $5 for your gig? Oh sorry $5 is actually $6 for the customer but only $4 for you. Yeah that’s right boys and girls the low end rate is even less than $5.
But there is a way to beat it. Whatever talent you have, use Fiverr as a networking opportunity. Build a reputation and then use it to message clients about further work. And most importantly - ARRANGE ANY PAYMENT ABOVE $50 TO BE PAID OUTSIDE FIVERR. Don’t give them their ridiculous percentage from your talent when they treat sellers with such contempt. Over time one could hypothetically make over $20,000 from jobs with clients met through Fiverr, and hypothetically over $18,000 of that is transferred offsite. So that’s about $4000 hypothetically that would have gone to them. Luckily I don’t need to use Fiverr anymore but still have clients that I met through there. So exploit it, they don’t care about you, so don’t have any issues with cheating them out of their percentage, if you’re smart about it there ain’t a damn thing they can do ;)
