Good content but you’re trapped!
I signed up to Racing TV thinking I was getting a simple free trial, but it turns out you’re actually being locked into a 12-month contract — even if you cancel during the first month. The pricing is also ridiculous at nearly £30 a month, which is more than Netflix, Spotify, and Amazon Prime combined.
The coverage itself is decent — good tracks, proper pundits, and solid racing footage — but it’s hard to enjoy when you feel tricked into signing up. There’s no easy way to cancel online, and customer service is slow to respond. They also try to offer you a lower price (£11.99/month) after you cancel — which they should’ve just offered in the first place.
It’s a shame, because with fair pricing, no contracts, and a proper cancellation option, this could easily be the best racing app out there.
Until then, avoid unless you’re prepared to fight your way out of it.

Poor update.
I am having a great deal of trouble using the app on my IPad. The app regularly freezes. I often use the app to watch meetings that I have missed. Often I can watch the first 3 or 4 races then cannot watch the remainder of the meeting.
Please work on the app and update it once the faults have been fixed.

Every time I go to watch highlights or a previous race and try enlarging the screen it closes the app down. All since the update.

I enjoy using the app and the replays generally run smoothly. I don’t find the layout of the race cards very user friendly though. I receive message notifications on a regular basis without actually ever getting any messages.

What happened to landscape mode?
Latest update is horrible, it no longer supports landscape mode on ipad & UI is cluttered & difficult to navigate. It is also difficult to spot your tracked horses on the race cards.
This is a backward step, updates are supposed to make apps better not worse!

Horrendous
I would undoubtedly give this app 0 stars if that were possible… comfortably the worst interface I have ever seen on any app.
I find it difficult to add horses to my tracker, I can’t view the app in landscape on my iPad, and the layout still feels clunky / not intuitive.
It is an absolute disgrace to think you can pay a (not significant) subscription for this site - put all that money to better use and design a fit-for-purpose app you scammers.

Clueless developers
For a app showing tv pictures, what numpty though it a was a good idea to remove the landscape viewing option. Makes the mobile versions very hard to watch. Despite several updates this continues to be an embarrassment to whoever is developing this.
The only real link this app has to horseracing is that Highway Men also used horses when stealing money from people. Won’t renew again.

You pay good money for this and yet when it does work it’s like watching on a potato. It’s also covered in Ads - something you’d expect from a FREE app. Yet today on one of the biggest weeks in flat racing, the app just keeps crashing. iPad, latest iOS, deleted app and reinstalled, made no difference. Tonnes of video content and new colour scheme is different but good. The free racing tickets through the Racing TV Club Days are a nice bonus too.

How on earth can someone design an app for an iPad that cannot be viewed in landscape? They must read some of these reviews and see that it cannot be used? The full screen doesn’t work either. It is profoundly terrible. I’m not allowed to give 0 stars or I would.

Terrible Update
The update to the app is shockingly bad, it does not function well at all, i cannot access any of my tracker horses, have no idea when they are running now. Timeform ratings have disappeared from the race cards its been replaced with a star rating, this app update is so poor its getting a star rating 1, cause i cant go any lower!

Unacceptable
I cannot believe this latest update was tested before its release. Trying to watch a race in landscape mode is now virtually impossible and very unfriendly if you use an iPad.
This in no way represents the premium quality output that RTV wishes to display - I would urge the developer to rethink this appalling version before the brand damage gets any worse.

Very Poor Update to the App
Come on Racing TV the latest update to your mobile App is really shocking!
So many negatives, how did this get signed off as an improvement of the mobile App for the end users?
In no particular order here are just a few negatives..
1. It’s so much more difficult to navigate around the App in general
2. When updating comments in the horse tracker the text is covered by the pop up keyboard so you can’t see what is being typed.
3. When watching replays of races you have to watch in a small box at the top of the screen because if you click on full screen, when the replay finishes you have to come out of the App to close the window.
4. Once you have selected a race, you can’t see the other races at the meeting at the top of the screen like in the previous version so you can’t move to a different race without leaving the meeting & going back in again
5. On the race meeting overview screen, you cant see all races for each meeting, you have to slide the race times across
Why not go back to the old version, sort out the problems & re-launch the mobile App when it’s fit for purpose?

This app has so much potential but it’s a constant struggle to do the basics of even logging in. The problem is acknowledged by the creator and the solution does not work well at all.

Sadly as per the norm this update , inevitably for the sake of an update it seems, has if anything made a poor app worse. The picture now automatically comes up vertically instead of horizontally on iPads , devils own job to change , some of the extra buttons don’t seem to function and the form page is still a mess ….

Who designs this site?
Race card details presented in light blue text on grey background, virtually impossible to read.
Is this the reason so only the betting is clear.
Racing uk puts betting well before the actual horse and racing.
Login for four years on old site now cannot login.
Contacted by phone for help, useless now trying by email but no response.
What/a dire performing over priced service.
Even worse now as my elderly iPad cannot download so no longer able to see racing.....so disappointed

A step back
Not a good update. Trying to watch live a stream on my iPad is almost impossible. If you can get the screen to rotate to landscape, it’s zoomed in. How did this update get past quality assurance?

Disappointing
The previous version worked well enough for me but this newer version has the same poor layout as the website and even though I read and mark as read all of my notifications the app still shows an incorrect message count. Apparently the only way to get rid of this is to delete then reinstall the up. Very disappointing!

iPad watch live is poor
When you watch the live racing the picture is zoomed in and not getting the full screen. Just watched the first at Aintree and the leader wasn’t even on my screen at times. Aspect is all wrong !

Why change it?
Worked perfectly well until recently changing the icon to grey update. Now you try to add tracked horses and it doesn’t allow you to put them in your tracker. Oh yeah probably all the advertising money from betfred being plastered all over the site is the reason! I’ll go elsewhere for a better horse tracker.

Just downloaded the new update and wonder why you have changed the format. It’s terrible compared the the original layout. Have been using the app daily up until now, but won’t be using it anymore. Disappointed.

Fantastic features to enhance your racing day
The App works perfectly in my iPhone & PC. Allows me to choose which races I want to watch, provides days race cards, tips & odds. Allows racing in demand if you’ve missed a race. The tracker facility allows you to follow your own fav’s & messaging to advise of Race Starts, Tracking etc. As a member of RTV there’s an array of 70 race meetings through the year that you can request free tickets for (not a ballot either). Excellent features & highly recommended. 100% of profits going back into supporting racing - what’s not to like.

I would like to make everyone aware that you can’t cancel this app as you are tied in for 12 months, it’s obviously in the small print or I wouldn’t have taken it out as I’m heading overseas so you’re monthly cancel anytime £23 or £24 now becomes a approx £275 annual payment , so disappointed about this scam amongst horse racing fans you expect from lower end artists , then again Ruby is involved.

Good concept, high potential, but poor
Lots of good intent here, but it’s slow and glitchy. The betting company options barely work and most frustratingly it never logs in automatically and the Touch ID has never worked. Meaning it’s slow to get to the tracker for instance, which is one of the best bits. Probably worth paying for the racing post membership over this one.

I was hoping to watch Racing Replay from racing from yesterday at Musselburgh instead all RacingTV has shown is Dubai Racing how is this supporting the UK & Irish Race courses Subscription money paying for international racing no thank you cancelling my membership today RacingTV is also not the top broadcaster as you claim Sky Sports Racing is the top Broadcaster as more people watch it expect more people to cancel their membership as you don't give the race courses the coverage they deserve anyway Ascot Chester Bangor on Dee made a good decision to ditch RacingTV now I am ditching it too good riddance doesn't even deserve the star given would give 0 stars if I could of done

Terrible app
Would not trust this app at all, you will be much better off with ‘At the Races’ or sky sports.
It gives you a months free trial but then ties you into a 12 month contract of a whopping £25 p/m which is a joke. Doesn’t give you any way to cancel your membership and many of the races I wanted to watch weren’t even being live streamed. Took me forever to call onto customer services and convince someone to cancel it.

Cannot access my account
I have tried for days to sign in but no go. I also cannot reset my password as I have tried everything in case I’ve sent the wrong password and that was the problem but no it’s hopeless

Have had issues in the past with iphone, desktop computers- faffing about to select the platforms that I want to use- update it, save it then next time I log on the new settings aren’t saved! Have also tried today to log in and change password- just kicks me out of app! Rang customer service who promised to send email to enable reset- that was 4 hours ago- no email! Will be ringing again tomorrow to cancel my £25 a month subscription- will stick to Sky Racing
