I downloaded this app many years ago when you had to pay for it, I’m so glad it’s free now. I was wondering if it was possible to develop one in the Fante language. Everything out there is Twi, so many apps, books and resources but there’s not enough in the Fante language. Could you help us out?

This app is amazing, it has a range of words and phrases even expressions, absolutely love it... I really recommend new learners to use as it also has tests, wish you could pick between having one voice instead of different ones cos it makes it harder for me but in real life I won’t have just one person talking to me so I get it. Anywho give this app a go, you’ll like it!

I used to ❤this App, I learnt so much & my Pronunciation is getting better every day! However since the last update a while ago I can no longer record myself saying the phrases to listen on playback and the biggest bugbear for me is that I can no longer slow down the recorded phrases to ensure I catch every syllable & learn it well. Please please please bring these features back!! 🙏🏼

Enjoying this useful app
Update @ 20/07/19 all of a sudden every time I’m looking at phrases/practicing its started popping up with a demand for a $2:99 monthly subscription to unlock more phrases. I dismissed it as I don’t want it. However it now pops up EVERY time I’m on the app & EVERY time I look at a different word or phrase. Further more it’s unprompted asking me to enter my iTunes password so it can charge me the fee.
So annoying has it become I’m prob going to delete the whole bundle of 4 apps from this developer/supplier.
It's easy to use & actually good fun too. I got the bundle and it's a great buy.
You can slow down the pronunciation to get to grips with new words & phrases. It makes learning this completely new-to-me language not so daunting.

Easy to use!
Using this app I can do the basics to get me out and about in Accra during my visit. Been wanting to learn Twi for ages and now I can at my own pace. Love the slow down audio translation option which allows you to listen to words and phrases at a slower pace. Nice intro app to the Twi language

Thanks so much! I have been trying to learn since 2007. It was hard to find a teacher or class. Here I am in control of my learning. The app has authentic pronunciation and slow mode really helps grasp it well. Some mini games roles lays would be brilliant. Thanks once again.

The recorded phrases stay in the memory. The slow-speed recordings especially are a great help. For English speakers Twi can be a tongue-twister, and being able to listen slowly to each syllable makes things much easier. Well done!

Great Learning Tool
I got this app first, and then later got the Twi primer app. Twi primer is what you need for learning Twi. And this app is a great companion to that. Clearly spoken. Easy to use. Occasional crashes on my iphone 4. Very good.

As a young Ghanaian girl who doesn't live in Ghana, I am proud to say that this app actually helps you quite a lot. Although I know the majority of the words and the phases, I do still think that this app is worth the purchase. Especially because it perfects your twi, the man doing the voice over is also as helpful. He breaks down even word/phrases so that you are able to grasp the words and have the correct if not perfect pronunciation. This app is defiantly worth £1.99

Good but...
I think overall this is a good app-- I think the only thing that I wish is that it had the tones and alphabet to learn th basics first as it is difficult to build on the phrases without learning the fundamentals of the language.

Fantastic phrase book app
I'm going to Ghana in a few weeks time, and have been practising the phrases ever since I downloaded the app. It even gets a thumbs up from the partner who speaks native twi from Ghana too! I love the Love section the chat up lines are funny!

Essential tool and easy to use.
This app has proved invaluable to my learning of Twi, without it I would have seriously struggled to get to know the lovely people of Ghana that I have met. It is so simple to use and playing back your recorded voice makes it easy to correct the little errors in pronunciation that soon disappear through repetition. It really is an essential language tool.

Great app overall.
However I have one recommendation...when recording the voice it may prove useful to cancel out the slight echo as it sometimes makes it harder to grasp the accent.

It's really good
It's really good. I learnt some phrases and took it to my dad and he nodded the nod of approval.
The record yourself part is great. I listen repeat. Listen to my self and try and see where and what I am not saying right.
The only downfalls for me is:
There should be an option to slow down the saying and break down of words.
It would help if I could identify what means what...like I worked out that You=Wo. But had to work it out myself.
Those are my only wishes.....
Oh and also a better interface, so I don't have to go back to home to see my favourites.

Great App - But it needs some insults/naughty words
Really like this app but as a young person it would be nice to have a few basic insults/naughty words too (nothing too harsh). I think it would make this app more rounded.

Excellent app but insults needed.
Excellent app. I have used this since it's earlier releases and it helped me when I visited the motherland Ghana back in Feb. However you know you have to have some swear words or general put downs included in the app. Insults are part of the Ghana culture as every Ghanaian by birth or blood knows.

Impressive innovation
Kudos to the developers of this application. Quite impressive however, quite some number of the twi pronunciations do not define the english words but I am sure as time goes on they will retify it.
