I look out into the sea from Hartlepool. I bought this out of curiosity about the ships I watch. They have now gone. I see the ships. Ship finder sees no ships! Hartlepool and Middlesbrough where you used to have information in the past! Please sort it.

I have enjoyed using the app but something is seriously wrong. This is very poor not least in a paid app.
For example. I have been tracking the historic yacht Nahlin. Shipfinder showed her progress down the English Channel but then lost contact. Yet the rival Vesselfinder had maintained contact and currently shows Nahlin correctly south of Portugal.
Given that they are using common data there is clearly a serious problem with the app.
Needs fixing.

In December 2019 I reported having problems tracking ships in the Caribbean and reported this to Pinkfroot. They were apologetic and said they were looking into it. I’ve tried again today (5 Feb) on a known ship location in another part of the Caribbean with no success. Also looked for Queen Mary 2, whic I know is currently in Colombo, Shrilanka and again nothing. I am using a 7th Generation iPad so can’t say my hardware is out of date. Disappointing!

I can see the ships in front of me (the new aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales and 3 tugs) and they are not registered on the app. I have downloaded VesselFinder and have all the information at my fingertips. Waste of £4.99. Very disappointing.

So, my teenager is off on a cruise round Scotland so I got the lite version of the app to see if I could follow his travels, it seemed to find his boat no bother but obviously was missing some functions like tracking his course etc. so I upgraded to the payed version @ £4.99!!
No sooner had I done that, than the boat I was tracking disappeared and never came back, even though it’s easily found on the free webpage “marine traffic”
So don’t waste your money like I did folks 🤬

I bought this app to track a cruise ship that my daughter is working on. In the week since I bought it - the ship has only shown up once. I’ve since found two web pages that track every second and give me high clarity satellite pictures for free. I’ve wasted my money completely and feel very stupid for doing so.

To say inadequate is being kind. I’m looking at a cruise liner moored outside Dunmore East county Wexford and this app isn’t. I know a Stenna line car ferry left Rosslaire 90 minutes ago.
