Fantastic game. For the people who complain that you need to pay for player packs, don't you know you have to pay for things in general. Someone made this so you can have fun ยฃ2.50 is the least they deserve. Excellent game. Intuitive and escalating difficulty with the purchase of tougher opponent packs makes it very worthwhile. Great way to kill time.

I love this app!
When I first purchased this app, I wasnt sure whether it was going to fit in with the kind of apps I enjoy. But as soon as I started playing absolutely loved it!:)
Only two things I can critisize is all the ads that pop up, but I know it isn't your fault and also I love customising characters and making profiles, with this app you can't.
Overall I highly reccomend this app and wish you happy tennis playing!

Good game paying for the extra players in the upgrade enhances the game and makes it more challenging better still there is now a pause button addictive game brilliant and addictive would like more backgrounds but great app the beginning matches have gotten a little harder and the and matches a little easier surely it should be the other way round! Also needs more un lockables so it would make it more interesting

Fantastic game. Great playability, tournament feature is good. Graphics are solid and once you buy a certain pack of players all ads are removed. My only wishes are that you could play a full match rather than just one set and that the tournaments were named, a bit more of a career mode. Other than that, great game that I've had months and still play a lot.

Highly addictive game that I have become rather good at. At first I struggled to be any of the pro's! I can now murder Kenny & have also beaten Bull on 2 occasions :) the reason I have not give a full 5* is because this game needs a online option, hopefully this will happen soon, so we can play other users. Also more pros would be good! :)

This game is so realistic if you have ever played tennis.
I've also tried tennis games on sony and Xbox as well as pc games.
I am 45 years old and iust admit it is really good.

Takes a while BUT
Once you get used to how to play it, it can become quite challenging - just like the real game! Can be frustrating at first but, once you get used to it can provide great moments of triumph as you finally beat THAT player ;-D
Update - Still think it's great BUT as you progress through the players the amount of cheating on their side increases !

One of the best tennis games around if not the best. Downside are that career points aren't reflected on the gameplay and drinks bought run out very quickly which maybe due to the fact the creators want you to keep buying more drinks. I would suggest it still has more room for improvement.

Easy to pick up and very addictive. Many an hour wasted but fir a giid cause.
Would be enhanced by more players and extra points scored for other achievements, being able to get more than a zero even if losing a game.

Excellent but costly!
Fantastic gameplay, realistic groundstrokes and angles. However having to pay for energy drinks is the only way you're going to beat the top Olympic Pack. Also you can't complete a tournament until you've bought all the players. You should be able to challenge calls and have more control over spin etc.

Hit Tennis 2 ๎ - Best App?
This is the most entertaining and addictive app I've ever purchased! I even bought more challenging players because I enjoyed it so much.
My only negative would be that the 2 player option which you play over one machine is a silly idea as your iPod/iPhone gets very confused. My suggestion would be to do 2 player on separate machines, and you could play people all over the world through the Internet! (lots of other apps do this like fruit ninja and doodle jump).

This is a beautiful game but you can easily get bored of it, hence you need to upgrade to get a variety of other players. I wanted to get some free player through tennis bucks but there is no way to fin how to redeem them in order to get a free package!!! I would recommend this game but hope it will get improved with a bit of different sounds and harder opponents

This is a great game however it could be improved by being able to unlock new players by winning matches in tournaments and also being able to improve your player, using the game points from winning games would be a good idea. Can I also point out you can get every player for free of you have Internet connection just download the free games on the more stuff part of the game you get tennis bucks from this and can then get new players for free game points are an entirely different thing and people should stop criticising this game because of their stupidity

Ace Game! (๎ฐ lol at my joke)
Great game; I delete or ignore most games I buy, but this I keep coming back to! Very addictive, particularly once you download the player packs (which can be done for free). My only problems are the odd occasion when the opponent suddenly unleashes an incredibly powerful shot out of the blue. I doubt it is humanly possible to hit a shot that fast, and I know it isn't possible to return. Also, in a tight game, it is infuriating when a shot goes out over the baseline; again there is no way of stopping this. So overall a slightly unrealistic, but nevertheless hugely entertaining, game that is well worth getting๎๎๎๎!

Poor game...
...why? You play a 70 year old man in the first round and you can win with your eyes closed, sliding your finger up and down the screen, making nice shots. You then play 'Michelle' in round 2 and all of a sudden, the sliding finger ball control is non existent!! The ball shoots off at right angles etc, nothing at all like the shots made in the first round. I'm all for the opponent getting better and faster but the shots that I make should be consistent....I haven't got a clue what the ball will do in round 2!!!!

Hit Tennis 2 is a good game. The layout is good and so are the controls. They are very simple and you can remember them easily. However, the fact that you have to buy players is not good, you cant compleat a tournament without the player packs. Also multiplayer is bad. The way it is set out is good but I doesn't work. When you go to hit it, it makes the other player swing. Overall an average game.

Decent game!
100% the best tennis game on here. I especially liked being able to earn the added content (all player packs, energy drinks & remove all the ads!) by downloading other apps etc to earn tennis bucks and without having to spend real money.
The extra player packs are well worth downloading the apps for free tennis bucks, they totally transform the game - one or two are seemingly impossible to beat at the minute, but I WILL get there lol!!

Meh.
Thought this might be a fun game with Wimbledon and everything at the moment, and it was free. At first the controls seem a bit odd and it's hard to hit the ball properly. After a while I got used to it though and I can play it well. It does not take long to complete the various modes and it soon becomes boring and same-y. I'm too tight to buy the add-on packs and I'm not sure how much of a difference they make. Anyway, a fairly good game once you get used to it (can't complain about the price). Buy, play for half an hour, finished. Thanks for reading, enjoy the game.

More control?
I love the flick series, I have them all. Though I feel Tennis is good, I'm less keen on just simply hitting the ball. On goalkeeper for example, you position yourself in the goal - but on Tennis the game places you on the court and you simply hit back. I think it would require more skill if you could freely position yourself for the shot. Other than that, it's great :) another top game.

Very good Tennis game.
I really like this app and I believe that it has alot of potential. The graphics are fairly decent and I like the fact that you can challenge yourself against more elite players in both the tournament mode and free mode.
The reason this game is not five star is because:
Not enough opponents: you are only able to play 3 different opponents, which I find is not enough. It is a shame that you have to buy more opponents.
No Wifi/Bluetooth play: Would be a fantastic feature as many of my friends have iPod touches and iPhones. I'd love to be able to challenge them to a match.
Finally, a choice of how many sets: it would be nice if you could have the choice of either playing best of 1,3 or 5 sets.
To conclude, I would certainly Download this app before they start charging for it. The only way that they can improve the game is with money to spend on extra features, so I would not be surprised if they started charging for this app by the end of August.

Good but.....
This is undoubtedly the best tennis app for the iPad and possibly the iPod as well. I would like you to consider the following proposals to improve the app.
1.For each match please can we play sets not just one (5 sets for men and 3 for women)
2. Please can we be able to play over wifi or Bluetooth so when we play multiplayer we have a whole screen not just half.

It's just like any other tennis app use your finger as the bat! But I think it works well on this game. The worse the opponent the harder it is to play- unless you use energy drinks (which I've run out) and I have to pay to get more!!! As well as that your playing and all of a sudden a huge advert appears on you screen (change it!!!) the small ones at the bottom are bad enough!

This is one of the best free games I have! I enjoy this more than angry birds, tiny wings and other games like cut the rope! I strongly recommend it to anyone of any age to be honest. ๎ช I just wish there were more players apart from just the three! but to have this it charges! Tournament mode is fun and addictive! Hidden gem, hidden charges.
This is one of these free games that isn't free. In game charges for tournament play, and a breadth of opponents. Also energy drinks cost.... Really!!!
However, shady presentation aside, this is a really good tennis game. It is very addictive and so makes you say, ok to the in game charges.... It feels a bit like being groomed, but the game is actually very good!

The game is alright.. I guess. I wish u could actually see yourself and customise yourself. You should be able to customise the racket aswell instead of that rubbish one. There should be more players to play against, they are all to easy. you should make yourself move yourself instead of it doing it for you because it does not improve your tennis or even show you where to move. I would not recommend this game. I've had better.

I found this game a bit frustrating to begin with and was going to delete, but am glad I didn't as it is so entertaining and addictive!! The ads are a bit annoying and it isn't perfect, but it's still a good way to pass the time!

Tennistastic?
Hit tennis is a difficult game to get to grips with, but once you get going it becomes quite fun. Each character presents a different type of challenge and strangely we found that the harder players are easier to deal with than the slower ones to begin with. Adverts are irritating in the light version but I suppose that's what you get for being tight and not spending hard earned cash. The game is not perfect by any means and it would be nice to see players rather than disembodied rackets flying around. Also, every now and again the player makes random "air shots" with the ball looping high above the court. How and why this happens is a mystery. Overall, worth a shot but not sure I'll buy the full version!

Makes you realise just how good Wii Sports is
It's a tennis game very much along the lines of the one that comes with the Wii. Your player automatically runs around and you play the shots. There are a few differences. Instead of doubles, you play singles. Instead of seeing an entire person you just see a racket. And instead of swinging a Wii controller you use a gesture on the screen.
This last bit is where the game falls down. The controls felt haphazard and awkward and I found myself fighting the control mechanism more than my opponent. The game looks good and the graphics are't bad (even if I would rather see a little person running around). The game is ad supported and unobtrusively so. Adverts appear between games where there is a natural break and can be cleared after a few seconds. Sort the controls and the game could be a winner.

Great fun game!
At first you'll struggle with controls but after 5 minutes or so you'll be flying. A good fun game to pass a bit of time when you have 5 mins or so free. At the beginning you'll struggle in tournent mode but again persevere as it'll be worth it! For a free game it's a 5 star but too many promotional ads is the reason I gave it only a four; saying that though I am tempted to download more players!!

What a brilliant game! Once u get the hang of it, it's like your playing a real little game of tennis! I play it loads to get better, beat the opponents (god that makes u feel good lol) and i dont mind paying for an extra few more people to beat, I hope! I'd definitely recommend it ๎ ๎๎ ๎

I don't usually write reviews but this review Tells you something
Firstly this game I's brilliant. Abso must for those who love anything tennis, but I's also great for anyone that thinks angry birds I's a half decent game ;)
Secondly to developers perhaps a function to turn of ai help when u miss a ball, expand on tournament, different courts, real life players that you can play against. Overall brilliant game!!

It's quite easy!
Went on hardest setting first and went down 3 straight sets as it was my first go but soon turned it round and won the remaining sets and the full game- quite easy, I thought it was straight forward to pick up and control but got a bit boring after first 2 plays, can't knock it for free!!!!!!

Shame you have to pay for better opponents & the ads are annoying which wasn't in the original version. I still love this game though. Would like to be able to angle the shots better which for me is down to the game not my ability.

Magnificent game, pretty real effects!
This is a app worth having, and after trying it, you might enjoy tenis in it's best realistic manner, even if you do not like or play tenis, you'll be loving this sport, after playing. Congratulations to creator of this app

More Challenging Than Before!
This game was one of the top iPhone games before it's recent update... Now it's one of the very best games. Far more challenging than before, which makes it more exciting and enjoyable when you win. So there's a few ads now... Those ads ruin about 1 and a half seconds of your entire life.

Bravo
This game took a while to get used to, but when I got the hang of it I loved it. Infact it's the game I keep going back to, some winning shots are very satisfying. A big big improvement would be a career mode as others have said -I would pay for this game.

Once you get used to it, it's a very fun and addictive game, one does however have to practise in order to be able to get the shots on target.

One of the better apps out there however a variation of court and such likes would be nice.
If you would like to try a similar tennis game try 'Chop Chop Tennis', it's much easier and a little more fun, albeit less realistic, plus when I got it at least, it was free.

I really don't know what these people are moaning about. This is free and a lot better than some paid apps. Granted it is a little too easy but with updates this has great potential. I can only assume that those that say it is rubbish don't know how to operate the controls which in my opinion are very good once you have mastered them

Fantastic when you get the hang of it
Whilst it takes a while to get the hang of the controls, this game is fantastic. I am hooked.
One qualm is the lack of a story of competition mode. If this could add a career mode or add tournaments, it would be a big winner.
I can't wait to play this on my iPad when it comes on the 28th.

Very happy with the update
Before the recent update I was planning on giving this 1 star simply because it was innacurate in every way. However, with the new update I have found it easier and more enjoyable. While not perfected I believe that if you put more effort into updates and perfecting the game, it would be fantastic becuase it is such a briliant concept. Please keep the updates coming (like better serving)!

Simply terrible.
This game is awful. It's a great idea, just very badly implemented. The action of hitting the ball is incredibly difficult, often it interprets a swing in the wrong direction so you end up hitting yhe ball towards yourself rather than your opponent. Add into that the fact that the 'automatic' movement of your player basically just moves you closer and closer to the net with no way toovw back again... and you end up with something unplayable.
I downloaded this because I thought 'all those bad reviews must just be people unwilling to give the game a chance'. I was wrong.
Bottom line: Don't waste your time on this!

Well I like it..
Graphics can be improved, the sound should be left alone which is very good. Controls could be better. I don't like playing it landscape, portrait would be good too.. When you turn the phone it tries to do it putting a black frame round the screen like it wants to go to portrait version... Also an idea to have online multiplayer modes to play with people all over the world. Solid 3 star effort for a free app!
