Hotel reservation

I made a mistake with booking dates for a hotel ,accidentally booked the wrong dates and ticked non refundable box ,the hotel would not change my dates even though they had vacancies Booking.com were no help so I lost my money.will not be using them again

Disappointed

When making the reservation, I chose the option of one king-size bed and two twin beds, as clearly shown on your website. However, upon arrival, I was given a room with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, which is completely different from what was advertised. Additionally, the sofa bed had no pillows provided, making the situation even more disappointing.
Furthermore, when I approached the hotel staff about the issue, they refused to take responsibility. They told me that this was a problem caused by Booking.com’s listing and stated that I must contact Booking.com directly. This response made me feel even more frustrated, as I had trusted the information on your platform to make my reservation.
Although I have already checked in and am currently staying at the property, I would like Booking.com to be fully aware that the room type provided did not match the description at all. The experience has caused significant disappointment and loss of trust in the accuracy of the listings on booking.com website.

Reliable booking service

I always use this app when I want to travel at home or abroad. It’s quick to load & very easy to navigate. Booking.com always provides reliable & up to date information at reasonable prices. Rebooking & cancelling are never a problem & refunds on cancellation (where appropriate) are always fast in my experience.

Awful Customer support and unprofessional

The lack of accountability and customer care was beyond frustrating. If it were possible, I would honestly consider suing for how disgracefully this business operates and for allowing such an unprofessional private owner to treat guests this way.

Very misleading information, functions within this app that could cost you money!!

Beware, I have used this side many times over the years but will never use it again. I tried to cancel a booking today for Saturday which is two days ahead of the booking, it said in the initial booking that it would be free to cancel two days ahead.
I selected my booking. It told me that I could cancel for free, so I did. This is what I believe that I could do when I made the initial Enquiry.
The confirmation email came through to confirm the cancellation, and told me that I will be getting charged the full price of £110. Apparently the cancellation deadline was at midnight last night. There is no telephone number or email address to contact booking.com to discuss. The Support pages just send you around in an infinite loop. I contacted the Hotel that I had booked with and they had told me that there’s nothing they can do about it and she admitted that Booking.com a law and to themselves. I will never use this site again!!!
I am disgusted by the situation now find myself in because the app told me I could cancel for free. I do realise that I have missed the deadline and that is my fault. But to me 48 hours notice is at 1600 today, Because that is my booking in time, as not midnight of any day. I googled the helpline telephone number which took me to a page on the Booking.com website. Which said contact us 24 7 to speak. But there is no telephone number anywhere that I can see, whilst being sent round in an infinite loop on the website!!

We have loved ever moment of our stay and our host Lee was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. Access to Mile End station is a very pleasant 10 minute walk - perfect.

Triple A Stay!!

Excellent location right in the heart of the city centre. The building looks dated however our room was spacious, modern and clean. Be prepared for monastery/church bells in the morning. The staff were very helpful and we would happily stay again 👍🏽😊

Disgusting place

Really disappointed with Booking.com, allowing this place to even be on your site. I shared the photos, just take a look at them Nothing like the photos. It cost over £500 this place for 3 nights!! Owner says they didn’t know anything about some the issues I raised. However reading previous reviews he did know, just chose to do nothing about it! Don’t make the same mistake as me, make sure you READ the REVIEWS before you book this awful property better still stay away

Spot On

A great choice of accommodation for pretty much anywhere you want to go for a holiday, i like the choice of being able to pay now, or pay at property on arrival, this is very helpful if you can’t afford paying upfront and on some you get free cancellation! Quick heads up, All Inclusive does not include your flights.

Serious Health Issue Ignored – Very Disappointing Support

I faced a serious health risk during my stay booked through Booking.com. The hotel listed a refrigerator, but it stopped working whenever I left the room due to automatic power cuts. This made it impossible to store essential medication that must be kept refrigerated at all times.
The hotel staff were unhelpful and refused to assist. Even more disappointing, Booking.com took no responsibility and kept redirecting me to the property instead of resolving the issue.
I was forced to leave and book another hotel at my own expense.
As a long-time Genius Level 3 customer, this experience has completely broken my trust. I expected support, but received nothing!

I’m extremely disappointed with Booking.com. I booked a hotel that clearly advertised a free airport taxi, but there was absolutely no notification or clear instruction about any conditions. When I contacted customer care, I was told the free taxi only applies from the airport to the property and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. This information was never made visible during the booking process and is nowhere clearly stated in the terms. How is a customer supposed to know about a hidden requirement like this? Advertising a free airport transfer without clearly explaining the conditions feels misleading and unfair. I expected transparency, not surprise restrictions after payment. Very frustrating experience and a serious trust issue.

Disappointing

Very disappointing. I booked a single room where the description said “City views” and “Landmark views” - which is complete rubbish. This is a dark ground floor room, in an extremely noisy street, where the window looks on to graffiti’d wall. The management have refused to issue a full refund for misdescribing the service. Booking.com are also not pursuing this on my behalf. 0 marks for this hotel and 0 for Booking.com too. Avoid.

Beautiful Home

Never been to this place before and honestly it is amazing! The owner contacted me directly to confirm everything as well as email. I requested for arrival time at 3pm I asked if it was possible to arrive earlier and they were perfectly fine with that and made sure the house was completed for my partner and I. I highly recommend this house if your staying down to see friends or family or even a short break away. The bedroom and bathroom was spotless not dirt or mess or stains. Bedding was clean and fresh and smelt amazing. Very quiet location. Local shops close by and takeaway places too. Only a short drive into town if needed. Get booking everyone.

What a super property definitely ran with love and attention to detail, it had everything we needed with comfort and style and for us was perfect for our trip to Chester Zoo only being a mere 2.9 miles away!!
There is also plenty of food places within 5 minutes,
We will definitely come again if we decide to re visit the area.
The customer service was outstanding and I’ve actually never experienced such a rapid response throughout so thank you Noki Stays for your hard work.

You get what you pay for

Tangier Ibis City Centre: This is a cheap option to stay in city centre which is walking distance to the Tangier Ville train station. Other hotels nearby are much more expensive so you get what you pay for. Reception staff very nice. Location very nice. Room given was on 5th floor with nice view of city centre. We were here only for 1 night so needed something close to train station and we got what we paid for. However please be mindful: pool is only open June-Aug. It’s free but was closed when we visited. Also the wifi and air conditioning is ok. Not the best but enough to get you by. I think the rooms are small and outdated. Again, not an issue if you only hear for 1 night. I think room has bugs because 3am woke up scratching my legs and arms. I then put mosquito spray on my body and now it seems a bit better. The room are clean though so maybe just some little bugs coming from somewhere. The rooms do smell of dampness so do keep that in mind. I still think for the price it’s not a bad hotel and we would visit again but would only be here for 1 night as it’s close to the train station.

Great stay at Residence Colombo, Viareggio thanks to Carolina 🤗

Lovely apartments, good size, clean, fairly spacious (I had flat 31/33), 33 has a balcony but it’s outdated and darker, and the view from the balcony is unfortunately ugly… someone’s dirty rooftop!
Flat 31 is brighter (no balcony) more modern. The residence is very close to the sea and has a roof top balcony. Lots of fabulous shops along the promenade & there’s a grocery store ten minutes by foot… which sells everything. It is a longish walk to the tourist office/port.. boats/bus station/train station, especially if you’re walking back & fore everyday.
My Italian isn’t very good but Carolina (from the residence) helped me from the beginning to the end, giving me lots of details about trains, gave me the option to change apartment.. 33 is on the road side so at times got a bit noisy. She explained where things were/ give me a map of the city, ordered a taxi for me & was just generally very kind and helpful. It’s reassuring to have someone to communicate with (by text message as she’s not often at the reception), throughout my week… especially when on your own!

Awful customer service.

I have loved booking for years, usually find them helpful. Today I decided to extend my stay in Paris, I have little money left but, I have no work obligations until Monday afternoon & my Eurostar was free to change. I made a reservation via the booking app, the payment was processed- however there was a fault in the system & the booking didn’t go through. I contacted them & they emailed acknowledging the payment & initially offered to rebook the room but, instead issued a refund- taking 7-12 days.
I contacted them explaining they had left me in a vulnerable position as I do not have a room for the evening. The first lady just said meh & hung up. The Second Lady- Claire was trying to be helpful but, refused to send a follow up email (which I know they can because, I’ve used booking for years) so that I could file a charge back either way the bank, releasing the funds in order for me to book a room on the fly.
& guess what… after they actually did send the email. It was just very poor, very obnoxious customer service & while unreflective of past experiences, I won’t use them again. Wasting hours of my time for an issue that obviously could have been resolved within 10-20 minutes , time I could have spent enjoying the city.
Anyway booked a room through a different app a cheaper rate. So long booking.

Do not stay here

This apartment has no security, the locks are all broken on the patio doors which is dangerously unsafe being a ground floor apartment , the roller shutter in our bedroom jammed open so no security there plus we can back after a meal last night and the front door key would not would not open the door it jammed and I had to go round the back of the property , climbed a 5ft wall and over bushes to then open the back patio which was easy as it would not lock , I sustained injury to my legs ane scratches to both arms , I am 60 years old and if I did not do this my wife, me and 2 dogs would have had to sleep in the car , this apartment is not fit for purpose so keep away , security is non existent, this is a shame because the decoration aims lovley and it very large with a nice little garden , obviously management do not care and don’t keep maintained , the curtains in 2 rooms were hanging off at the ends, but the rest was clean , the main problem security and we could not get into the apartment after a night out , we left a day early as we booked for 3 nights but it was unacceptable that security was bad and we could not get in , I did not sleep the first night in case we got robbed , I will upload pictures of the locks and my injury shortly . Customer service

It was our first time in st Ives and it was amazing! The hotel was clean and very friendly receptionist. However! I felt there was a lack of customer service about the waiter who served us. First morning was fine, he served us, no smile or eye contact maybe because we were a gay couple with dogs or something else. We didn’t worry about that. The second morning we came first in the dining room to have breakfast with our dogs. He offered us coffee and disappeared but he was serving other people first before us. We were waiting for quite long time to get breakfast and we saw that he was serving other people before us. I talked to him and asked that. When he came on our table after 20 mins I asked him why we didn’t get serve first because we were first arrived. His excuse was kitchen was busy and he lost track. We are not upset about the slow service, we are upset why we got served second when we were the first people arrived. I told my partner that we should go because we didn’t feel welcoming the way he was behave. We left without finishing our breakfast and we returned the key. If you know who you are please, treat people equal and put a smile on your face, maybe you will get away with bad customer service.

An outstanding and memorable stay

Nestled in verdant, sylvan surroundings, Aveda Mountains & Mist, Munnar, where we spent 2 nights has exceeded all our expectations. Everything, from the rooms, linen, the choice of food items, were exceptional. Above all, the GM Mr Surendran & his dedicated Team were always willing to walk the extra mile with a smile. We plan to spend a longer stay at Aveda in the near future. Pia & S K Chowdhuri.
This was a two day stay for a large family group and it turned out to be a very memorable one in every respect. In addition to the resort’s beautiful location with breathtaking views, the service was exceptional which made the stay extremely relaxing and cheerful. The resort is very well maintained with beautiful landscaped gardens and a swimming pool. The cottages were very well appointed, modern and very comfortable. Food was exceptional with plenty of choices. Every staff member was courteous, very respectful and always ready to help. The resort’s General Manager, Mr Surendran and chef, Mr Raghunath deserves special mention for their meticulous attention to our individual needs to ensure a stress free and truly outstanding and happy experience. We were particularly touched and very thankful to Mr Surendran for his consistent genuine attention to our elderly parent. Their leadership was absolutely outstanding! Very nice

So I loved the room it’s big with balcony I always have habit in checking the bed mattress and smelling the pillows they stuck old wet dog smell! And the under the sheet it had stains I immediately told the housekeeper she was very apologetic and changed everything Thank YOU! Didn’t complain! My stay was quite the pool I wouldn’t call that a pool where you can chill! There was conference going on! So HELL NOOO! But the hotel is supper clean very quite. I enjoyed the peaceful environment. One thing I forgot was I had 3 bags when I was checking in NO ONE HELPED ME I WAS Ignored also I left my wine when I was checking out by mistake a VERY expensive wine they didn’t tell me as I was around the reception area waiting for a tax. They went to the room before they could allow me to check out and never informed me I left it. I sent a very angry email they admitted they found my wine and KUDUS to them they shipped it to me a day later and apologized all in all I can truly say it’s nice place to say and would definitely come back.

Easy to use & efficient

Sometimes, you need to book something ASAP. This site is easy to use, simple layout & straightforward. I’ve seen many changes over the years, all for the better. Genius reward scheme has allowed me to earn loyalty points and get get cheaper prices through booking via here. I can filter results in many ways I want, sort them my way & it helps and booking quicker. I’m a late booker, on the spot booker & need to book quickly due to work commitments & I’ve always found something to suit my picky self. Sadly the private landlords do let the app down with their unprofessional behaviours but I won’t mark the app down for that. Not their fault. Help is easy to find, staff easy to contact through it and in this day and age most people need to use the app through their phone and don’t have time to pull out their laptop or fire up the PC to use the main site. The app needs to be better than a main site in my opinion. Can’t say I’ve used the main site

Beautiful stay here

Well me and my partner Reanna stayed here , there was alittle trouble finding the place , as on maps on my phone , it took us close by but not actually there lol , but we made our way there ourselves and all we had to do was ring them and they would have collected us from train station close by , either way we got there , and there was alittle trouble with the language barrier but we used English to Thai on google which helped a lot , anyways , me and Reanna had an amazing time here , room was really good for the price and comfy , we ate here for dinner and
Breakfast and we had trouble understanding what we ordered , but the food was really nice , abit spicy but very nice , and they helped us book a tour to see the elephants close by at elephant haven and omg it was amazing ! We booked just the morning but it was so good we stayed the whole day (9am-2:30pm the lunch there was incredible and the staff helped us reach our next destination which we carnt thank enough , would We stay here again ? Definitely we loved our stay here

Amazing off grid experience!

What a beautiful natural experience, I’d highly recommend for anyone like us travelling in from London! The beach, villa and family here are amazing and it’s pure paradise! We were picked up by Doodle at the airport and brought to a jetty, where we came into the beach by traditional boat..such an experience and saw a sea turtle on route! We arrived to the lovely Richelle and her family who are the caretakers, and they can go out and catch fresh fish and will bbq the fish for you. We had a romantic meal on the beach under a tree with fairly lights and candles all up the beach with music playing. We have the whole beach to ourselves, apart from dogs & chickens but they are no trouble at all and actually add to the true real Philippines experience. Richelle and family cannot do enough here for you but also are so lovely to message what time you would like breakfast etc, so as not to invade your privacy or relaxation. We had fresh coconut plucked from the tree on arrival and the food cooked for us has been amazing and all the children help to cater. The family take great care to clean the beach and gardens which we found great too.
Don’t worry if the electricity goes off at 3-6am as this is normal, other then that you have full internet if you need it…although this is the perfect place to go ‘off grid’ and not get disturbed! Lovely place I highly recommend!

Not the best

We booked this hotel for it location, and it had an indoor pool with a hot tub. This would have been ideal following a camping trip around Cornwall, but upon arrival there was a notice that it was out of use due to a filtration issue. We decided to head to the sea front for some dinner, that’s when I become concerned of the location, right next to the bypass and a subway. It was obvious that it was a high crime area, with several piles of vehicle glass on nearby paths, indicating vehicles were getting broken into. I moved our van so it was directly under the hotel CCTV as the one in the subway had been smashed off. Follow a walk to the seafront and a dear but nice meal we walked back being careful which route we took as there was signs of drug use in the park on the walk down and it was now dark. On arrival it was evident the hotel caters heavily for the more elderly, with bingo on the go, we went to get a night cap, but were very limited at the bar. We got into our room and as I went to get into bed, something spiked my thigh. It was a spring clearly sticking out on the edge of the bed. We couldn’t be asked to complain at the time as all our belongs were out, so we just avoided that part of the bed. The room was very warm during the night and that forced us to have the window open and listen to the traffic. The following morning we had breakfast at the hotel which was pleasant enough, I did notify a staff member about the bed, which I was informed that I should have let them know and they would have changed our room, but we didn’t need the fuss and in my opinion, the damage to the bed was very easy to see and should not have been left.
Overall we were a little disappointed with the hotel, as not only was the pool/hot tub out of use, but the bed was also very sun standard.

We had the most incredible stay at Villa La Massa with our 1-year-old daughter, Annabel. From the very start, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We had to change our booking dates, and the team was beyond accommodating, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a generous upgrade to a more spacious and luxurious room that offered a stunning view of the river—an absolute dream! We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday lunch accompanied by live piano music, which created such a warm and elegant atmosphere. Every staff member, especially Tamara, treated us with kindness and open arms, making us feel completely at home throughout our stay. The service was impeccable, whether it was room service, dining, or the remarkable cleanliness of the hotel. Our little girl Annabel was showered with attention and love by the staff, who were so playful and caring with her. She adored the hotel from the moment we arrived to the time we sadly had to leave. It’s clear that Villa La Massa has an immaculate team—from the housekeeping staff to the kitchen, pool staff, and managers, everyone contributed to a flawless experience. Special mention goes to Tamara, who was an absolute star—not only to us but to all the guests. Her warmth and professionalism made our stay even more special. Tiggywinkle is perfect

Highly recommend staying here with or without pets. Well equipped beautiful lodge right near the water and main building. Everything you need is on the lodge such as iron, ironing board, hoover, hairdryer, etc etc plus there is an on-site laundrette. Owner provided handwash, fly spray, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc etc plus a lovely welcome bottle of rose with a little welcome note which was a lovely touch. Definitely worth seeing what is in the lodge before buying any toiletries when doing your initial shop. Our boys spent most mornings in the indoor pool. Everything you need in the lodge, on-site or a short work away. Easy access to different areas on foot, by car or by bus. Asda shop delivery facility was a lovely surprise which saved us a lot of time. Owners of our lodge were really helpful and friendly as was their Housekeeper who we met when we arrived on-site early and had a walk around the site. She was the one who told us about Asda delivering 😊. We didn’t go to the evening entertainment but there was bingo, singers and comedy acts. Probably more than that but we chose to be out and about during the day and to rest/fall asleep watching TV in the evening. Lots of family games provided in the lodge as well as Wi-Fi. Staff onsite were all really friendly and helpful.

Truly amazing place

We only stayed at this small boutique hotel for the one night en route back to the airport and all we can say is: Wow! What an absolutely amazing hotel, everything was to the highest standard in every aspect of this hotel; we opted for the Elephant suite which afforded us the most amazing views over the lakes and mountains and these were truly breath taking, the birds and wildlife we witnessed in this short stay was amazing: Sea Eagles, parrots, barbets, minor birds, herons, ibis it was breathtaking and the hotel even organises trips to see the slender loris which we intend to do on our next visit as it was that amazing we are already planning our return trip there, as it is also very central for many of the local tourist attractions. Our meals were all individually cooked and prepared and once again all we could say was ‘Wow!’ The food was definitely next level compared to anything else we experienced during our stay in Sri Lanka; our dietary requirements were discussed on our arrival and we were blown away by the standard of our traditional Sri Lankan dinner and the deep fried lake fish was a first and most exquisite accompaniment to the dinner, all of it was absolutely delightful and after we finished breakfast on the day we departed I didn’t think I would need to eat again for a week, everything was home grown freshly prepared and amazing, our hosts were attentive and so friendly we would definitely recommend this hotel and will most certainly return. Thanks to Ravi and his wife for one of the nicest hotel experiences of our life.

Great find

We had a fab stay in this hotel , we booked a family room for a girls weekend there were 2 good sized rooms with an a joining door . Very clean and comfortable great mattress plenty of plug sockets with usb and also large fans which were useful as the weather has been so hot . Breakfast included which was also very good tea & coffee in the rooms & we were left giant cookies & bottles of water as a complimentary gift nice touch. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful they were kind and attentive in all areas including the lovely car park attendant who was chatty and very helpful . This hotel is perfect place to stay the location is perfect for Lime street station just adjacent to the hotel and all areas of the city centre is walkable ( if you are able ) there are plenty of buses and taxis . The hotel has a great restaurant food is lovely and again staff are very helpful the hotel bar is also pleasant with a great outdoor seating area we will definitely stay here again thank you for a wonderful stay

experience with booking a flight

If your looking to have the most stressful booking experience you have come to the right place. I booked a flight and they said I would receive a confirmation in 24 hours. I waited a very long time. It became suspicious to me as I had not received any email nor did the booking show up on my app. It was like I never booked however the money was taken. I called the customer service in which I had to access by DM their Instagram given that they didn’t have any help centre. I called them and they were no help at all. Gave me an earache, everytime I called a new agent would tell me something different about the booking. One would say I need to be patient, one said my booking failed because of the bank and one blamed the airline. I didn’t know what to do, I explained multiple times that I needed to book the flight urgently however they refused to help. SCAM. I DONT meant it in a rude way as I have booked from them before but after this time I will never ever book from them. After a whole week of me contacting the bank and talking I finally received my refund which meant if I never even spoke to the bank I would have never got a refund in the first place. Honestly was ridiculous, defo off better booking from the airline directly as this was terrible.

Hut 64

We had originally booked this stay to join in with solstice celebrations at stonehenge but due to our not very forward planning we decided against it and chose to stay at the hut and to explore Salisbury. The hut is well maintained and in a lovely location, we had our own seated area, a fire pit if we chose to light it and if you want peace and relaxation I would highly recommend. The facilities were top notch, the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing watching the television. We ate outside in the evenings and enjoyed listening to and watching the birds. The hosts were very accommodating, giving you privacy but also giving you reassurance that if you needed anything or there was a problem that they were on hand. One of the highlights for us was meeting the hosts lovely dogs! They were very friendly and we were more than willing to fuss them! We will be booking again to return next year for the solstice again. This stay was totally what we needed in our busy lives with work and family we leave feeling relaxed and less stressed.

Sabaah The Legend

It has been an immensely pleasurable experience here at the island. After watching and reading reviews, my partner and I decided to stay at JA Manafaru. I have to say, it did not disappoint. The views, the beach, the food everything has been so enjoyable and surreal. The staff here are very hospitable and friendly. We completed a range of excursions and tried every restaurant as well as engaging in treatments at the spa. Every single staff member we interacted with throughout displayed nothing but kindness, openness and helpfulness. Not to mention, the room service was impeccable. We would like to give an honourable mention to Sabaah - our point of call - who never failed to deliver regardless of what time in the day it was. He ensured we were taken care of throughout our time on the island even if it meant going out of his way. My wife dropped her sunglasses in the sea on the way back to the villa and Sabaah managed to retrieve them for her!
We would 100% recommend this island and the staff definitely do make the experience even more worthwhile.

Lovely family home

Had a 2 night stay at this property. The location is ideal being near the beach and Aldeburgh town centre. This is a beautiful family home, with everything you may need for your stay. The furniture could do with some updating but it is nevertheless well maintained. Contrary to other reviews, we did not mind the photos displayed of the family, it was rather nice to know who the house belonged to.
Couple of issues was the late check in at 4 pm which we found to be very late, most properties have a much earlier check in. We did not like stripping the bedding upon our departure, after all the cost of the cleaning etc is within the accommodation price and it really was not nice that we had to do that. The departure time is 10 am and exactly at 10 am the cleaning ladies showed up and made us feel that they were there to ensure we left on time. I understand that they have to prepare the property for the next guests but even in any hotels there is a 1/2 hour window to check out. Luckily we were ready but considering the next guests cannot check in until after 4 pm I think it is nice to give guests a few minutes extra. I have never experienced that.
But altogether we had a pleasant and a wonderful stay and will consider staying there again just it will be nice for the owners to see the above points.

Great but .......

I have used this app for many years and many trips very successfully but have found this time that changing credit card details after booking but before the payment date is a nightmare. I have 21 properties on my upcoming trip and had to change the card details on each separate booking and on my Edit profile page several times and even then not all of the changes worked. I have also had three very long telephone conversations with the Booking Customer Service Team who tried their best to be helpful but I’m still not certain the payments will be taken from the correct card. So that is the reason you only have four stars instead of the five I would have given. The Booking app itself without this complication is very good and easy to use once a suitable property has been found but I agree with other reviews that it could have better filters to make searching for preferred options such as en suite, bed size, parking availability, free cancellation etc easier. But that could be asking too much! Also changing my card details appears to have deleted all my trip history and removed my Genius status which I’m not too happy about!

Luxurious apartment close to the Colosseum

What a magnificent place to stay. It is about 8-10 minutes walk from Colosseo Metro. Tucked away a street away from the Colosseum the perfect place to see Rome. The accommodation has two lovely balconies - one where we ate breakfast and the other smaller space with two comfortable sofas for a drink in the evening with the heat of the day over. The apartment is large and comfortable and as an artist I loved the original oil and other paintings on display. The two double bedrooms, separated by the shower en-suite are comfortable and the electric blinds keep it dark at night. My grandson had the comfortable sofa bed with en-suite in a room off the main living area. The kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need to cook meals should you wish.
There is a Carrefour shop for any food items including freshly baked pizza and several restaurants in a 5 minute walk.
The wooden floors, the Turkish carpets and the baby grand piano says Rome in style. Marisol was helpful and the property felt like a friend’s home - one to which you would always want to return. Thank you for sharing your home with us .

Amazing hotel, amazing views, very professional. Very clean. The staff are very good , one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Iheb has been very helpful, his service has been 10/10. Overall I am very impressed as I came to Tunisia for the first time as a sole traveller with no knowledge about the city or country. The staff was able to help me with everything. They are caring and understanding and very professional. I will be definitely coming back here. As a sole traveller from the United Kingdom, I have felt extremely safe at the hotel as security is amazing!! This hotel is very family friendly! I have met amazing people that have made my journey incredible. There is absolutely nothing I would change! The hotel is in a great location which was very beneficial and the bedrooms are spacious with amazing views! , the hotel have amazing bars, Indoor pool which is great for the cooler weathers and massive restaurant and also a great bistro and a huge Spa!. A Beautiful Secure Place

Where do I start? Honestly, I was initially wary when a ‘communal area’ was mentioned, only because I usually go for air b&b (love my own space). However, when I contacted the host (Arnold) with questions about the property, my anxiety lessened. Arnold was very informative, I didn’t feel like I was ‘bothering’ him with questions about the room I booked. On my way there (very late after 10pm), I was surprised to receive a call asking if everything was ok & if there were any problems in relation to finding or accessing the property. I was taken aback although we were literally 10 mins away from the property. Upon checking in, I was able to call Arnold who stayed on the phone until I actually unlocked the pin box and got in. The communal area downstairs was large, it was a delight, the kitchen had everything u need it was clean, big, well kept and fresh.
My room was beautiful, shower room so precise and clean and I felt very safe which is important for me. Tea facility were available & it was no problem to go downstairs if I needed a refill or the microwave. When I had a problem with a connection in the room, within 15mins it was sorted once I contacted Arnold. It was quiet, I met a man opposite my room who was with his wife, he told me good morning & told me to just enjoy myself after I told him I was attending my granddaughter’s christening. Not sure he was confident about that advice when he saw me this morning lol. I had a comfortable couple nights sleep, in a bed I did not want to leave this morning The Greatest thing about my stay aside from the christening, was the host with the most. As cheesy as it sounds, I have to give credit where it’s Due. Thank you Arnold for providing such a beautiful clean safe space & for making yourself available to ensure I had a great stay with no concerns. I really Appreciate it & I shall return so I can access my granddaughter more easily.

The best hotel on Koh Chang

There’s a reason this place demands a premium and is rated 5 stars. I have travelled the world and also spent a lot of time in Thailand. Nothing comes close to my experience at The Retreat. This place is pure luxury from the moment you step through the doors. The staff are absolutely incredible and make your you are comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. The al a carte breakfast is served all day and is absolutely superb. The staff at breakfast are out of this world and they are an absolute credit to the hotel. Without these staff my experience would be a whole lot different. The manager of the hotel (who wears The Chill uniform) is also incredible! She went well and truly over board to make sure mr stay was enjoyable and I can’t thank you enough. If you want 5 star service, 5 star food and 5 star views there is absolutely no other place in koh Chang to stay. The hotel is also a 4 minute walk from the beating heart of kai bae which is full of bars and restaurants. I look forward to my next stay here In March! Lewis

Highly recommended

We very much enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Portland house! Lisa welcomed us with the warmest smile despite our late arrival.
On my list of all places I’ve ever been, the Portland house ranks first in terms of cleanliness, and cosiness. The attention to detail definitely caught my eye, from a well presented room to the little decorations on the bedside table and the shower room. The little tray with tea/coffee and a biscuits jar was a very delicious addition.
During the duration of our stay we’ve probably experienced the coldest days in a while, however the room was kept warm throughout the day.
My only ‘criticism’ would be that the location of our room was such that we were able to hear voices from (I believe) the attached house/building, though understandably there isn't much that can be done for that. For us this wasn’t a dealbreaker, on the contrary, it made us giggle as we were not expecting to hear a live little Christmas carol concert before bed. I’m only mentioning it so that one can maybe request a different room in advance if this might be an issue.

Ponderosa B&B, Blackpool

Myself and my husband, my sister and her partner stayed here for 2 nights 30 Nov - 2 Dec. I chose the Ponderosa based on the glowing reviews and I must say we were not disappointed - there was not one drawback I can mention! The rooms were spotlessly clean and warm with facilities to make tea and coffee, a fridge with water and milk, there were a selection of chocolates and biscuits as well as a range of toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfasts were tasty, freshly cooked and very filling, they certainly set us up for the day. There is a lovely little bar guests can purchase drinks from at a very reasonable price. Our hosts, Billy and Julie, were the most friendly and helpful hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, Billy even dropped us off at the venue of our concert to save us walking in the cold. The Ponderosa only has 4 rooms so has an intimate, cozy feel to it, especially at this time of year with the Christmas Tree set up and looking very festive. The location is quite central and within walking distance to all the sights and the tram. There is also parking. We would definitely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend this charming B&B.

Hotel Joséphine, Paris - Fallon

We stayed at this hotel and upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Fallon. She explained everything about the facilities and showed us to our room. As our room was opposite the lift I asked if we could move into another room. Despite being almost fully booked Fallon found us an alternative room showed us into the room. However I preferred the size of the first room. So I asked to move back to the original room. She said as long as we have not used the room we are ok to move back. Despite being busy Fallon was so kind and understanding. Her hospitality was second to none. Due to Fallon’s excellent customer service skills she really made our stay comfortable and it was a lovely start to a fantastic holiday in Paris. Thank you so much Fallon you are a great asset to your team. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Location was great and beds and pillows super comfortable after long days of sightseeing!!! Great chic decor and complimentary water and hot beverages available to all guests in the lobby.

Casa Del Mar Laganas Zante

I just got back from my stay with the girls there was 4 of us. The location of this hotel is excellent practically on the strip and you step outside straight onto the beach which was amazing. There was security at the hotel which was good being a group of young teenage girls. We had difficulty getting sun beds when on the beach which were free to hotel guests but other tourists took the sun beds so that was a problem. We spoke to the hotel but they couldn’t really do anything about this problem. Tourists that aren’t staying at the hotel ruining it for paying guests isn’t acceptable especially when we’ve paid to stay at the hotel and have use of the sun beds but you always get problems like this.
The only negative thing about the hotelwas the breakfast it wasn’t good at all so we had breakfast out instead of eating at the hotel otherwise we were happy with our hotel choices. We were a group of 4 teenagers and really enjoyed our break away being right in the middle of the nightlife not so far to walk back on way home and felt safe which was good and really enjoyed being on the beach.
I woudl recommend this hotel.

Very disappointing

Arrived 12’ish knowing check in was 3pm. However we were hoping to just get the key and come back later in the evening after seeing friends. We were told the room wasn’t ready and they weren’t able to issue a key early. Okay that’s fine I can except that. So we returned at 3pm to be told the room is still not ready because the clock on the roof needed maintenance and the only access was from our room. No offer of a coffee or cold drink while we waited. Eventually we got the key. The lift was out of order as were all the phones on each floor level. The two double beds had nice clean sheets and were v comfortable, towels were also nice and clean. As for the rest of the room well, all round the lock in the bathroom was filthy plus someone had obviously got locked in at some stage and the lock area was gouged out by screwdriver or something, there was a screw sticking out of the floor in the bathroom by the shower, which you could easily have sliced your foot on. The bathroom window, when open, gave the offices opposite full view of the bathroom interior. Generally the rest windows had children’s hand prints and smears all over them. The room had been hoovered but only round the furniture without moving any of it, so there was stuff under the sofas et cetera. The fridge for some reason was plonked on a table at the bottom of the bed. Restaurants food was dreadful. Certainly wasn’t worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. The owner was unavailable during our stay so I couldn’t discuss the problems with them.

We booked to stay Friday - Monday. There’s no doubt in saying that all the staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly. A good chat with the housekeeping staff one of the mornings who made sure we had everything we needed and recommended a lovely walk to take our dog on.
We had dinner at the restaurant on one of the nights, chilli beef and calamari were lovely, however the steaks were over cooked (asked for medium rare) which isn’t the end of the world as they were still yummy. We had a cooked breakfast one morning too and it was amazing!
The stable rooms definitely need soundproofing. We stayed in room 305, not to go into detail but investing in soundproofing would make these rooms the ‘cosy and calm’ feel we were hoping for. I spoke to Nicola about our experience and she sorted it straight away for us beyond our expectations. Our last night was peaceful and wonderful, we visited for our anniversary so only wish the first 2 nights were like this too.
However, we will definitely return if we are back up that end of the country again. We really look forward to seeing how this place grows in the years to come, definitely has lots of potential!

Love Love Love !!!

Me and two friends stayed in the gypsy hut and what an amazing experience it was ! The location is fantastic, 5 mins drive to the little town and the views were breathtaking! We got to meet a three day old calf so beautiful and the animals just walked round the farm free range which was just so amazing to see . 6am rooster wake up call ! The hut itself had everything you could possible need for a relaxing stay and actually more spacious than the pictures make it look . We stayed in march and it was cold outside but with the heater in the hut we were all lovely and warm . The shower / toilet facilities were fantastic also heated and full size shower . Everything was provided down to towels and sleeping bags etc . We will definitely be back . Thank you to the wonderful host who made us feel super welcome straight away ! Would recommend the al paca meet and greet experience just down the round from the farm also . They boys are just hilarious to meet and the owner was also lovely ! Honestly one of the best trips we have ever had !

Great place to stay in the centre of Nantes

We spent a couple of nights and felt really relaxed. The host was really accommodating with our late arrival and keen to give us lots of info about places to see, where to eat and so on. The studio itself is immaculate with a number of little add-ons that make you feel special and welcome (coffee pods, chocolates, toiletries, drinks…). The bathroom is very well designed and is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen facilities are also excellent and there are shops and supermarkets nearby. Of course lots of options to eat out, but the kitchen will help cutting down on meal expenses. The flat is in a great location and that obviously come with some noise in the evening - having said that it did not stop us to enjoy a restful sleep both nights. The view from the studio is great and picturesque. Being on the fifth floor, there are many steps to climb so, although we would definitely recommend you stay there, it is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Overall a big fat 10 out of 10!

Exceptional Hotel

This quaint yet characterful Hotel is a hidden gem to say the least. From walking in the door for a weekend stay, to the minute we left, we could not recommend this establishment anymore highly. A real must. Our needs, whims and requests were met by a truly perfect team that could not do anymore to help us at whatever time of day or night. This highly motivated group of hospitality professionals made us more than welcome and allowed us to settle in easily in the tranquil surroundings whilst we enjoyed each other’s company. Service is second to none and always warm fully delivered by diligent people. The food and drinks (recommend the cocktails) were truly something to behold and are definitely worthy of culinary recognition and awards in the North East of Scotland, but also Scotland herself. The breakfast will set you up for the day and is at par with any highbrow hotel in any capital city. The rooms are immaculate and the whole hotel is kept to the highest standards. We are definitely heading back, as we have booked again to stay for our anniversary early next year. This place is magical. A must!

Exceptional in every way

We spent 5 nights at this hotel. All I can say is: Staff: 5* 5/5 Location: 5* 5/5 Cleanliness: 5* 5/5 Breakfast: 5* 5/5 Comfort: 5* 5/5 Value for money?? You can't really place a value on your comfort and rest quality but I would say this is a good value place to stay in this price range. Not everyone can afford it but if you can, it's well worth the money. The bed was so comfortable we slept passed breakfast one day! The room size was perfect. Lots of room to move around easily. Nice hot water and powerful shower with large cubicle. If you want to be central to the main sights in Sultanahmet, you are perfectly placed. Short walk to everywhere. Lots of fantastic eating places within 5 minutes walk and even more within 10 minutes walk. All 24hr reception staff at the hotel speak perfectly good English. I can't recommend this place highly enough. I will be coming again next year. Definitely. Thanks to all at the Hotel Boutique St. Sophia for making my 50th Birthday very very special :-) xxx

Room 8!!

Me and my partner booked and stayed last friday and it was the nicest evening! Easy to find, free parking at the back, a few minutes taxi ride into the town centre, nothing was too much trouble even before our stay, if there were any special requests etc which was a really nice touch! When we arrived at the hotel it was clean, trendy and the lady who gave us our room key (i’m really sorry i didn’t catch her name) she had blonde hair, she was so friendly! We had the room with the free standing bath and if i’m being honest i could happily live in it full time ha!! Don’t even get me started on how comfy the bed was! It was like sleeping on a cloud! The fridge/freezer was clean & stocked with milk & water, kitchen had its own microwave & stuff to make tea/coffee and a complimentary croissant for morning! The only tiny downside we had which we made housekeeping aware of was the shower leaked quite a lot but we just popped a towel down and it was no problem at all, will be booking to stay here again for when we have another night away and have told all our family & friends about our amazing stay with you! Thank you so much to the city hotel team!

Superb value for money and such a friendly management team and staff for such a central location

The hotel is between Carbis bay and St Ives. Walking distance to each, nirvana for those that know the area. More than ample parking which for those that know is an absolute premium. Dawn, the owner and manager is an absolute darling, she looks after you personally the instant you walk through the front door. For instance, I am an amputee and she always pops up to help with my case up the stairs which is very valued.
The hotel is what it is, very, very well priced for the area, extremely clean and well kept, good sized rooms, ample parking.
If you are of a mind to simply explore this marvellous part of the world and then come home to a safe, clean and accommodating residence rather than all the expensive bells and whistles, this is the place. And trust me for the bells and whistles in this area you will pay 3-5 times what Dawn charges. I love the place and have stayed well over 20 nights there. You won’t be disappointed.

Rude

We arrived and asked if they had space for 2 diners. The waitress double checked with presumably a line manager and we we told yes, lead to a table and had drinks served to us within the first 5 minutes. At this point we were asked if we were ready to order or needed more time, but we requested more time after about 15 minutes we requested to place an order and the young waiter went to get his iPad and returned saying the kitchen was too busy and no further orders could be taken. A waitress took the order of the table behind us who arrived after us and we questioned why if they had been able to place an order why couldn’t we? We were told that they had booked that they took priority over us. When enquiring how long it would be before we could place an order we were answered “how long is a piece of string” and give a lecture on how we couldn’t expect to walk in to a restaurant and be served immediately. Double standards given that they allowed us to be seated without booking and we’d had the offer for our order to be taken, then told we couldn’t order. We received argumentative abuse from 3 staff members simultaneously suggesting that we should leave, and when stating that we intended to leave a negative review we’re told “ ohh I’m shaking in my boots”. This was in full earshot of a partly filled restaurant. How you think this is a positive way to deal with any customer is beyond belief, and more a display of unprofessionalism. Unfortunately reading through the other negative comments you have received, I am not the only one to receive this level of aggression. There seems to be a trend of dismissal of responsibility for any of your fault with a aggressive response of righteousness which further cements the validity of our experience!

Beautiful grounds

We had a lovely stay at villa Heaven. The grounds and outside of the villa are stunning. The views are amazing and there is a lovely view. The villa had everything we needed, with washing machine, dishwasher and well stocked with utensils for cooking etc. it was in a very private location, and a loud speaker is provided if you want to play music and chill to the max. You won’t disturb anyone. There is a pool table and table tennis (although the pool cues are worn and only
One table tennis bat) A few points to bare in mind, the villa is located up a steep hill, on a dirt road. A car is pretty much essential and a confident driver if driving at night it can be quite hard until you get used to it, the road is not lit and very dark at night. The bins are located on the main road so you need to take the rubbish in your car to get to a bin which isn’t ideal. There are ants in the property but I’ve found this is always the case in villas in Cyprus, you just need to store food in fridge. Overall it was a great stay very relaxing but I think the road needs to be pointed out as I had children with me and could not imagine what I would of done if I had not been a driver and able to hire a car. Overall it was amazing and I would stay there again. It’s a short drive from stunning beaches, lots of restaurants and bars and reasonably priced considering the size and amenities of the villa. Lovely place to stay

Myself husband and 5 year old son arrived at approx 20:45 on Friday evening for our 2 night stay. Richard could not be more accommodating, he took interest in our reason for visiting and had a fantastic knowledge of the local area, he recommended a couple of areas to visit during our stay, gave us a map with directions and they did not disappoint. Breakfast was waiting for us each morning in the dining room, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, cereal bars and muffin perfect for people wanting to start their day early. The room was clean and spacious, we had the added bonus of a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities as well as a tv, wardrobe and seating area. The dining room provides glasses, plates/bowls and cutlery and Richard recommended local takeaways for evening meals. There is a local shop opposite the guesthouse. This was the ideal base for travelling with a small child. We are already planning our return visit to wales and this guesthouse will of course be our first choice to stay.

Begonville Beach Hotel 5***** fabulous

I have visited a lot of hotels around Europe and this hotel has made my experience of Marmaris one of the most relaxing holidays that I have ever been on. The Hotel is in the middle of everything going on on the front, it’s beautifully maintained and the staff actually enjoy working there, the staff in most places can make or break you time spent in the hotel, the staff here make you not want to go outside of it, they are all so kind, helpful, happy and unbelievably sincere, they all go over and above any expectations. I actually don’t ever want to leave . They have a section of beach will sun beds for all, I am all Inclusive and the selection of foods, drinks and complete all round service. My cousin is staying at a 5 star all inclusive The grand ideal premium we’re they boast of every service imaginable, sadly she has to queue up for a drink a snack a sun lounger her breakfast dinner and tea, she’s got that sick of standing in line she has come to my hotel the past few days where she pays but the standard of service she has received is second to none. We get drinks and snacks brought to us on the beach or the seating areas absolutely no queue . Obviously they have buffet style breakfast lunch and Tea but if you ask the staff for what you would like they go and get it and bring it to you. All I want to say is don’t miss out take a visit see for yourself, such a fabulous team of staff if would be silly to miss out. I will be giving big tips when I leave and this hotel definitely hasn’t seen the last of me. Thank you Begonville Beach Hotel, such a warm, beautiful Hotel. 6****** 😍

Cotswolds stay for husband’s birthday treat.

Third time lucky getting to stay at the Grigshot apartment. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and liked the spacious rooms with its unusual pieces of art work and style. On arrival we received a lovely welcome from a staff member at the Old Fleece pub next door who showed up to the apartment ( via fire escape stairs) which we knew about but they are still tricky to negotiate with cases etc. it was very unfortunate that the apartment had not been cleaned from the last stay and we had to wait some time to settle in and also we were not alerted when it was ready . The apartment has most things you need but would benefit from having a broom/ hoover , which we asked for. The kitchen hot tap didn’t really work and when it did water trickled out and oven was very slow to heat and dishwasher seemed to work intermittently too. All this a side as a family we had a lovey time together and the outdoor space with little enclosed field at the top was great for our dog . We ate in The Old Fleece pub next door which is also owned by the manager of the apartment and the food & staff were all very good and welcoming.

Good impressions

We stayed here for 2 nights on a bed & breakfast basis only. The hotel design is stunning, with an outdoor pool on the first floor with brilliant access for disable people. We also noticed the floor had guiding paths for blind / part sighted people (we didn’t need neither of these services, but really care about inclusion). The friendliness and professionalism of staff was flawless - this is indeed one of the best things about the hotel in itself. They really cared about our confort and did their best to cater for our individual needs (vegan clients). There are a number of things they could do to improve their services, which we feel may be worth mentioning:
- The room could benefit from having some minor refreshments ie. Tea bags, sugar, mineral water. (We found it unusual to have a kettle with no tea bags).
- Room for improvement with regards to a vegan diet. Great source of vegan drinks though! (Oat, almond and soya milk, amazing!). However, there was little more than bread and veggies for breakfast.
Congratulations to the staff for maki g our stay amazing. We loved the morning conversations, which made us connect with our own culture and the best of cañarían people! (We too are Spanish). Amazing 🤍💙💛

Outstanding hotel they go the extra mile

We was few to tour Spain but out car broken down we have to find a hotel so we came to the flamingo oasis we wasn’t going to stay to long but ended up here 5 weeks we was looked after so well I have trouble with eating foods but they made my food separate for me which is outstanding there was nights my son didn’t like what they had but they cooked him other items this is a busy kitchen and there happy to help the restaurant manger marchello he’s so lovely he makes time for all his customers and this is what is nice about this hotel Cleaners always work hard making sure room is clean and they always put Oscar teddy’s next to his pillows which he loves Bar staff so helpful always smiling made kiddies cocktails which is great for the children Reception Eva is so lovely went out her way to help and advise on the best things to do My son lovely Eva he made her a picture and what so lovely she was pleased to get it from him so that made him so happy The only thing that is hard they only have 1 iron and ironing board for the whole hotel I do feel that should change I asked about a fridge as I needed for my medicine and one was brought to my room straight away The pools are clean and so are the gardens The entertainment team work hard to please all that’s here They all wear masks and will not allow people to walk about with out them there is hand sanitiser everywhere you look as soon as you leave a table there sanitizer it Not everyone will like what I do but I feel they have gone up and above to make my stay safe and nice This is why if I could I would give them a 10+

Easy

I’m find it hard to focus or do online searches for holidays or overnight stays well anything really as I have dyslexia and adhd, I get lost in a sea of choice but I find this app so easy to use with my constant changing mind this app gives me the opportunity to do that ahead of time until I find the perfect place to settle on. I can stress for months about organizing something then forget I’m even going anywhere the week we leave this app has been my best friend for my unorganized and very impulsive mind also the deals are fantastic cancelations are quick and easy and I can see peoples reviews, hotel pictures and search really specific to my exact location so I’m not waking far distances, I love it. I’ve already successfully booked and organized my mums birthday, recommended and found the best deal for an overnight stay in Manchester in an amazing hotel called the Dakota to see blondie in concert with friends and I’m now looking for a romantic weekend with my partner I feel so organized I’ve never been this person😅 I don’t need any help or need any stress with this app just make sure you read the cancellation rules before booking

Lovely Boutique Stay!

Myself and my fiancé stayed here for our first few nights in Bali. Everything was fantastic. The staff were all amazing, we were greeted with a delicious welcome drink and everything went super smoothly. The decor in our bungalow was trendy and relaxed, the outdoor shower was fabulous. Breakfast options were very good especially the al la carte menu which included smashing smashed avocado. The buffet was not quite so good with very limited options and flies everywhere which are difficult to control in the climate anyway, so having the al la carte breakfast was perfect. The pool area was clean and sun loungers very comfortable. The owners marine couldn’t do more to help, they arranged our airport transfer, moped hire which they have hassle free and on site, and a massage in our bungalow which was a real treat and inexpensive :)
Only lose one star due to mosquitos in our room (although the mosquito net provided was very good- a dress down service in the evening would have been the icing on the cake to get rid of any dead flies/mosquitoes as sometimes when we got in to bed in the evening there were some dead ones from the mosquito net that fell in). Also, cockerels and other animals in the neighbouring field hampered any attempt to sleep in but that’s not the fault of the owners of this otherwise wonderful relaxing retreat! Stay here if you are in Uluwatu!! We stayed in a more expensive resort for the few days after this one but wish we just stayed here- great value for money. Thank you for having us :)

Quick visit

I booked this hotel as had a last min hospital appointment for early thur and live a distance away so wanted to save rush in morning. Frustrated as unless I pre authorised my card for £50 which Hotel keep for 10 days even if you don’t use it! I was unable to use room service. I was travelling alone and didn’t want to sit in the extremely noisy bar full of people watching football. So to get food in my room had to still go down to bar and order and pay for it and ask to be delivered (and pay £3 room service) another reason for me wanting to eat in room was the fact my mobility is limited at the moment. Waited an hour in room for food... finally rang and asked where it was and it appeared (rather dry) ten min later. I pre ordered breakfast for 8am as had to leave at 8.45 to get to appointment. It says allow ten min either side of time so I was ready by 7.50... breakfast arrived just before 8.30 so rushed a bit of food before having to get to reception for taxi (I’d pre booked this the previous evening at reception explaining I had an appointment in the morning and asking them how much time I should allow for journey in rush hour as couldn’t be late.... stood waiting for taxi and enquired at reception and my cab had been booked for 8.45 previous evening!!!! Luckily I managed to get another and made it on time. Took a while to dry hair in morning as hairdrier cuts off every few min plus wire hardly long enough for drier to reach mirror! No plug sockets anywhere near bed so no charging anything overnight if you want it within reach. For £129 for one person for a night I thought not great value for money! This didn’t include dinner.

Unsatisfied

Regard to the booking, we were very disappointed with the room that we were given. On arrival we had to wait for 3 hours before we could even speak with anyone. Another customers had to let us in, if it wasnt for that guy being there then we would have never even gotten a place to sleep that night. We tried calling the owners phone number countless times, and he never answered once or even tried to call us back. Another hour later the owner’s friend came here to speak with us. He tells us the owner is on his way and will be here in 30 minutes. His friend let me speak to him on the phone in which he tells me that our room that we booked is now unavailable and that we will be staying in another place. And also the owner never showed up like he said he would. I only ever got to speak to him on his friends phone. Upon getting our new room assigned to us, it is nothing like what we had paid for. We paid for a kitchen, private bathroom, and 2 separate rooms. We also paid for wifi which we do not have currently. The room that was giving to us is just a single bed room with 2 beds. There is no heating, no hot water, no wifi, no kitchen and the bathrooms is shared with other people on this floor. I am very very outraged with this situation.

Complete Let Down

Right. The pictures and reviews were fab, so we were really looking forward to our stay for my boyfriends birthday. The location was relatively easy to find and easy to access with the clear instructions we were given! First impressions l, amazing! We were over the moon with the cleanliness of the room until we found a glass full of cigarette butts in the draw! The fridge wasn’t cold so no good to put any of our breakfast items in. The bed - which we were expecting a double, but no we had two twins put together were awful! The springs in mattered dug into our backs and we only had a pillow each which was no good for our necks. We were not given a remote for the television so had to get up and down to change channels and volume!! Both of the lamps next to the bed did not work as the bulbs had blown in both. He bathroom was great clean and shower was of a great standard. But now comes the worst bit!! We turned off the lights to get some shut eye as we wanted to get a good sleep for our explore round Liverpool in the morning... from 12 till 5 there was screaming yelling shouting from people from outside this is no exaggeration. The windows were completely shut but the noise was unbearable. We woke up in the morning after about 3 hours sleep completely shattered we could not wait to leave the establishment. The property is great if you plan to go out on the lash with your mates. But that is it. I would not recommend this to anyone personally which is a shame as I had high hopes and lots of people who wanted to stay here.

4 star prices but 2 star quality

For a 4 star hotel we were very disappointed with this hotel, the breakfast staff were unfriendly, and the breakfast itself very poor for the cost and on one morning we arrived for breakfast just before 9 and found very little food left and not one plate! Considering breakfast ends at 10 this was poor, the room whilst large was very poorly and sparsely furnished giving it a budget hotel feel, there were hairs on the bathroom wall when we arrived and they were still there when we left as we wanted to see if housekeeping would spot them which obviously they didn’t, We were told every room had a coffee machine, ours didn’t, we had a kettle and a couple of tiny coffee and tea sachets and get this ..... paper cups! Yes paper cups in a 4 star hotel! Even budget hotels we have stayed at on a quick overnight stay had ceramic cups, Also said there was a mini bar but all we had was a tiny fridge and a tiny bottle of water in it, also the shower tray got very slippery and extremely dangerous when it got wet as there wasn’t a shower mat to use and the tray was a smooth finish, I’m not sure if this hotel really is a 4 star as advertised, if it is they have done well to get that from our experience, it just didn’t have that special feel about it and it just felt a cold and neutral atmosphere and I would rate it at 2 stars and wouldn’t stay here again and unfortunately due to the very poor weather in Bordeaux we had to spend more time there than we would have liked

Awful

Myself and my partner stayed in the Inverness apartment on Friday the 1st of December as we came to Hyde Park especially for winter wonderland which was ruined by your accommodation in which we stayed in. We payed £80 for the room which was fine until we realised how small it was. I would like to make a complaint and get a refund due to the awful service and stay in which we received. As you can see I have attached photos as evidence. The bathroom door did not shut as you can see because of the damage to the door and the door handle .The room was cold and although you put a heater in there the wind was coming through the window and it is a safety hazard to leave the heater on which was no good anyway as it did not heat up the room. I do not consider what you have put up to be curtains at all it is ridiculous. The fridge froze all of the food in which we had in there and drinks because there is not a cover on the freezer department at the top. The nail that came out of the wall I nearly hit my head on getting in the shower when we arrived . The mould on the shower tray and on the ceiling in such a small room is a hazard to health. If there was a fire you would not be able to get out of the room. Before we were due to leave we decided to take a shower that morning only to find that the shower was freezing cold . We had to be moved to a new room to be told we could shower quickly as there were new customers coming in to the room shortly and the room needed to be cleaned. For our first ever visit to London I think this is absolutely appalling
