Used to be great but now constantly crashes
This app used to be great, but with recent IOS software updates, it constantly crashes.
Very disappointing, because this was an awesome app previously. Has some functionality now but frustrating having to restart repeatedly after crashing.

This app is broken.
Whenever I try to view a photo the app crashes and closes. And whenever I try to upload multiple photos the app crashes and closes. It's absolutely useless with these bugs. Please get them fixed soon or I will have to buy another app.

Latest update is an epic fail
Updated yesterday and the app wouldn't launch. When I finally managed to get it to work ALL my photos were wiped and could not be restored. I have had to restore from an apple update (old) and lost a huge amount of info as a result.

I have used this for a year or more, happily storing photos in files, but now (since iOs 7 update?) it won't allow change of photo name. Tried contacting via developer website, but it's just blank pages, so support is nil. Please fix. Would have rated 4, now 2 is generous.

For a free app it is brilliant not just for hiding phots if thats your thing its cool , but it is good for folders and folder options maybe some graphic updates ...and plenty of options just maybe a way to compress files or folders.

Always screws up after update.. What's going on?

Latest update resolves issues, for me anyway. No doubt the next build update will encounter similar issues.

This isn't the first time the developer had released an "update" which totally screws up.
Why oh why do developers release software BEFORE PROPERLY BENCHTESTING??? - its absolutely inexcusable. The developer should be ashamed to have taken money from people before ensuring the app was fit for market. I can understand why so many people are angry after losing precious momentos.
TO THE DEVELOPER:
I hope you read my feedback and take notice that many of your customers are seriously angry, and quite rightly too!
Why offer an update that says, "Don't update?" - are you aware that many people use "update all" function and would therefore be unaware?
I Forsee the impact of recent comments having an extremely negative impact on future sales because your credibility as a developer has been seriously damaged. You would do well to release a stable working build of you app - sooner rather than later!

Every time you update the software, it deletes the photos you have stored within it. Do not use this app. Try Ben the BodyGuard instead.

Works well
Having initially bought this app for my iPhone, I now also use it on my iPad. It is both functional and easy to use straight from the word go, which is very unlike most apps that are difficult to use and don't always do what they say they are suppose to.
I recommend it to anyone with private pictures.
The only snag at the moment is that the app has not been optimised for iPad use yet, the screen is set to the same size of the iPhone, but you can enlarge it too, so still works perfectly.

Absolutely no problems with the app, have used it through all the software updates and experienced no problems what so ever. Can't understand some
of the recent postings that are saying they have trouble, can only assume they either have not set their phone up correctly or not installed all the updates for the app.

The fix works!
It works again - I've got my photos back. Was a great app (5 star) became a very bad app (1 star) when it lost all my photos - and everyone else's too. Lets hope it can become a great app again. Think I'm going to move my photos back to camera roll just in case - at least the app let's you do that. Thanks for fixing the problem.

Broken update
I'm getting really annoyed with this app. The last update, 2.8.1, said "don't update" and now that's been replaced with 2.8.2 and that's saying exactly the same thing.
Most annoying, because there are so many app updates due to ios5 I can no longer "Update All" because of this stupid broken app. It means I have to update each app individually which is a real pain.
I'll be deleting very shortly if this isn't sorted very soon. Avoid at present.

Much improved
This has been a great app for a long time. The only downside was getting files onto my PC. Now four ways of transferring files. The easiest for me is just browsing to the folders.
One thing stops me giving it five stars, if you turn on wifi access then all your folders are visible even those that are password protected. You have to place a password to block access to the transfer routine.

Really good app, gives you the option too move photos from your camera roll into a folder of your choice. Simples! But I am having issues moving videos across?? That's what the 4 star is for.

Very Good App
Does everything it says on the tin. Great privacy App. Importing by wifi is very easy. Passcode protection for individual folders, as well as the App itself. Worth buying. Good App. I really like this app.
Update: Only fault is the annoying little pop up that keeps asking you to rate the app, even though you have already rated it some time ago.

This app would be number 1 but everytime i import a video it will crash :/.. I recently updated but it doesnt seem to be fixed :( so im pretty unhappy about that and i hope you fix the crashes .... I have had quite a lot of different apps for photo's but find this one to be brilliant, I love the way you can have the photos on play which shows them fading from one to another!! Buy it as cheap for what it does 10/10!!!!

Great app - the camera roll Apple should have made
Really easy to use and looks great.
Things I like; 1. You can make and organise your own photo folders from the iPhone 2. Password protection on any folders you want to stop friends snooping! 3. You can hide the number of photos in password protected folders 4. Nice colour customisable coding of photo folders.
There's other stuff that could be useful but these are the things I like best.

Wonderful and useful app
I take lots of photos for my work. The standard album on the phone does not allow me to label them as I go. With this, I can put all my clients into their individual folders and name them. Great. I love it.

Good for sorting and hiding pics from prying eyes. Why do people think it is acceptable to go through your iPhone when they are checking it out??? So a must for this reason alone.

Not bad but a few niggles
An improvement over the default Camera Roll, the dev has put a lot of thought into the design and it shows and it's pretty good. Three points though,
1. It would be great if you could sort out the current issue of not been able to set pictures as wallpapers from within the app (I note your comments in the faq but even so...).
2. When there is more than 12 items in a folder then the first row of pics are pushed up slighty, making the folder look messy which is a shame as the rest of the app is very nice.
3. The app 'crops' pictures when displaying them (black borders on left / right side). The camera roll doesn't have this issue, why?
If these could be sorted then this would be a 5 star app.

Everything you want from a free app. Stores you pics safely and away from prying eyes. Same it doesn't move the pics rather than copy them. You need to remember to delete them from the photo folder once you've copied them otherwise it defeats the object

Can't add videos even though it says you can. This is trade description stuff.
Moved my photos to the folders and then realised that I couldn't access them via USB to back them up on my PC. So had to move them back again. So basically just a way of organising photos on the IPhone and not a true alternative to the main camera roll.

What a God send !
Best app I've downloaded for ages ! Only drawback - I'd like to be able to set wallpapers from the folders on this app, rather than have to dump my chosen wallpaper back into the normal iPhone photo folder.

Excellent app
It's easy to use and looks sleek. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there's not nearly enough background pictures to choose from, also needs more folder colour options and the ability to share your photos via Facebook, text and email.

Excellent app, just what ive been looking for. The default camera roll is ok just its limited, with this app you get to organise your vids+photos in to folders, you can add custom colors for each folder also security for folders.

Just downloaded the app last week, but it's already easier to use than the apple alternative... Would've been 5 stars but I have to agree with other reviews which state that sub folders would be useful, definitely!
Apart from that, great app, easy to use and a lot more flexible than the original software.

EXTREMELY USEFUL
Would be perfect if two things added:
1. Ability to mark photos in iPhone's Photo Albums as having been added to Photo Folder Application. I have 4000 photos in my iPhone and can't copy them all at once. It's nearly impossible to remember which ones I've copied, and which I haven't.
2. Ability to sync with iTunes, so all photos appear there in folders.

Disappointing
This is a flawed gem. It is so close to being great but falls flat because some basic functionality which should be present, isn't:
1) Option to display photos in either full screen (my preference) or full image. My Photo Albums app gives this option so I don't see why Photo+Folder cannot. At the moment, there is no consistency; portrait photos are shown full screen, yet landscape photos are shown full image.
2) Sub-folders would be useful.
3) More themes, please!
4) When browsing a large folder, the scrolling is jerky and ruins the experience. I'm sure it wouldn't take much to make scrolling smooth, as it should be.
Overall, Photo+Folder is quite disappointing but it does have huge potential to be the best photo albums app.
I have contacted the developer about the improvements I listed above; I hope they will make the changes in the next update. If so, I will update this review accordingly.

Works well, folders can be edited and organised. Easy transfer from camera roll and upload to social media websites. Only thing missing is the ability to create a folder within a folder... Hopefully that'll be in an update!!

Wifi problem
This was working fine until the recent update: now the wifi backup won't connect for me at all... There seems to be no other way to back up your photos, so this isn't very good at the moment! Hope they fix this ASAP

Disappointed
Looks good, takes ages to transfer and sort out photos but seems a great idea. Only today found the fault: either every photo takes up double space on your iPhone or you delete the photos from your roll. I did the latter and I missed quick access from other apps to my photos. You can't even set a wallpaper from within this app. Also, when I copied photos back to the roll, it has slightly changed the file sizes and lost the data for date taken. Disappointed because I like to look back to when a photo was shot. 1 more thing, the app is a bit jumpy to scroll in, not as smooth as Apple's camera roll and whilst transferring photos back to the roll the app crashed and had to re-start 3 or 4 times.

Simply The Best!!!
Didn't expect much out of this App as it was so cheap, (59p), but I can't sing it's praises high enough. Its look is simple but very good and its functions are excellent. Folders are easy to create, easy to move around and the many options regarding colours, order etc are many. Above and beyond a lot of the more expensive Photo Apps. Best of all it's a total doddle to use! So easy and intuitive. Many thanks to the guys who created this one. Well done!

Apsolutely Brilliant - iPad Version in the works
A truely brilliant app which i wouldnt be without ... now my only issue wheres the iPad version ?? i think this would be amazing on the iPad even a simpleport with higher res images for all the UI would be great instead of doing the x2 of the iPhone version which is disapointing at best ...
5 stars for the iPhone app though it really is very useful not only for storing and organising pictures (and videos) but it also included the addition of privacy :)

One massive problem
It's a great app except when it comes to backing up the images on a PC.
To do so, you connect the phone to a wifi connection and a PC. To back them up you have to INDIVIDUALLY click on each photo; I have hundreds of pictures. I don't have the time for that.
Can the developers please fix that?!?!?

What about the sub folders?
Great app, just what I was looking for. Checked out lots of similar apps and this was the best out there. Does everything I wanted apart from sub folders. I'm going to end up with lots of folders, hope there's not a limit to how many you can have. I would have rated it 5 stars if sub folders were available, maybe something to include in the next update??

Disappointing but excellent support
I am very disappointed after downloading the app as I wanted a way to organise my images into folders and access these folders through my other photo apps, but I find after buying the app that this is not possible so what I thought would be a useful app isn't for my purposes. I wish the dev had made this clear in the apps description. However in response to my email their response was very prompt and apologetic for what turns out are Apples restrictions on what they can do. The developer is trying hard to get this facility included so I can't fault their attitude, so come on Apple stop being so tight with your regulations.

Great App !!!
I have only just started using this app and already I'm reaping the benefits! I contacted the developer with a suggestion and he replied within the hour! This app is well worth the money and makes sorting your photographs a cinch.

Good App, Iphone App is User Friends, Wi-Fi Backup Needs Work!
Like the app, found it easy to use. On the IPhone it is far better than the Apple app for browsing, foldering and moving pictures. The password aspect also has its benefits!
The only downside is the backup aspect is far from Apples sync option. I found it difficult to use the backup function it seems slow to operate pic by pic would make sense to be able to do multiple but have to take a while to transfer the files.
I wish it was simpler to add folders whilst in the backup mode, to be able to upload multiple files and to be able to easily copy the entire apps pictures down with one click of a button. Ideally the future would be to sync it so actually you could manage the files on your PC and also the files size etc and just so an update via wifi to sync IPhone and PC.

Overall, very good, could do with some tweaks
I think being able to add tags to photos would make the search function more useful. Also, on 2 occasions I've had 'Error' displayed and my photos corrupted after renaming them.

This app is excellent! 59p is a bargain, I can't see why there's any complaints. Finally I got somewhere to divide my photos from the camera roll and stop prying eyes!!! Easy to use, make folders and password lock. Video would be good but ain't no thing! Nice work ppl.
