Despite having an Argos card which was offering 12 months interest free I thought I would take advantage on that on purchasing a new item so sat in bed I decided to go through and work out what it was I wanted to buy I need to be disappointed by finding out the fact that when I went to make the purchase and use my card it seems Argos don't know my own card details despite sending me the card so they didn't automatically fill it in I went into the Argos card app and my details were in there but it doesn't show you what your card number is or any of the other details so the two apps don't speak to each other this is a big letdown in modern technology and put me off buying from Argos I could go downstairs later on and get my card but I shouldn't have to go for that kind of friction when you deal with a company that you signed in with they should know your card number about automatically filled that in you sorry Argos you lost a purchase.

When paying for orders through Apple Pay, the reservation screen with the order details never shows. I’ve had multiple iOS versions on multiple phones and it’s a persistent issue.
There is no workaround and you cannot bring up the order details. You must use your emails to retrieve the order details.
All other payment types are fine.

Utterly useless app. I selected my local store, and selected to list only items in stock, however, when I click on the Galaxy tablets I want to buy and send to checkout says it is out of stock and not available for delivery. This is happening on just about every item, so it’s not a shopping app at all. What’s the point of the app then?

I used to have no trouble using the app or the website but not anymore. Both are now a nightmare!
I am shown that certain items I want to buy are in stock for delivery to my area, that is until I try to checkout when it now shows that only some of the items are available. I looked back at the items on the website and they were all still showing as being in stock. First time this happened I assumed it was their computers still in the process of updating changing stock on the website/app.
I decided to try buying them again as they were all still showing as being in stock. When I get to checkout there are now only two of my items showing as not being unavailable for delivery compared to the four it had stated just 5 minutes before so I quickly checked out in case things changed again. After I payed and arranged a day for the delivery I decided to just have a quick look again at the two items I hadn’t been able to get and when I got to checkout this time and fully expected it to say there was a problem with stock again it took the payment and went through fine.
This meant I ended up paying two deliveries instead of just the one I would’ve if I’d been able to buy them all together in the first place. If the website had the correct details about what is in stock and what isn’t.
This happens almost every single time I try to buy stuff now. After it happening again today I decided I’m done with Argos. Even though they are a little cheaper than other places it’s just not worth the aggravation!

Keeps logging me out of my account (without warning), yet lets me order things via Apple Pay without being logged in. Means I have orders that don’t show in my order history AND I don’t get the points automatically added to my Nectar card account as I’m not logged in. I’ll have to jump through hoops to get them added to my Nectar account no doubt, and let me guess they won’t honour the 10x points offer they have on at the moment.

Xmas Order Cancellation No Notice & App Failure

I ordered a Xmas present on 26 November on the App. It took 6 attempts in order to process the my order payment (possibly as it was Black Friday weekend). I got an initial order confirmation and a then a delivery confirmation on 28 Nov. Delivery was meant to be between 10am - 1pm on 4 Dec.
I phoned Customer Services at 1pm to get a delivery update. My order was cancelled by Argos with no communication. I had to ask for a refund and it will take up to 30 days to get refunded.
The app is poor, customer services was good in a poor situation.
Will I use Argos app or Argos again, no!

A great app in many ways, its far better than using the website for browsing on a phone however it suffers from one massive issue.
For some reason any items that you add to your Wishlist via the website in a browser do not show in the app. And vice versa anything you add to your Wishlist in the app does not show via the website in a browser.
This makes the app completely useless. I thought this may have been a weird glitch and I have tried logging in and out as well as deleting and reinstalling the app but to no avail.

Argos has become such a poorly run company. I have returned items in the past and not been refunded for them. I’ve ordered items on their app but didn't receive information on when to pick them up. I had to call customer services, only to find out that what I ordered was a "ghost order." This means they advertise the item as "in stock," take your money, but it's actually unavailable. So now you’re left without the item and your money. And now your stuck waiting for a refund on money they had no rights to take. Which is concerning because I've had bad experiences with not receiving refunds from Argos in the past. Additionally, if you go to the store and ask for help from the staff, they are often rude and don’t want to help.

I can’t fault Argos as a retailer. As a retailer I’d give them 5 star, this app, however, is frustrating. The most recent order I made via the app told me that my order was ready for collection, it wasn’t. Accesssing my previous orders in the app is hit and miss too, several time in the past couple of days I’ve been met with an error message telling me that the info is unavailable. Perhaps most annoying of all is the fact that all the items in my wish list have disappeared and it is now completely empty. These issues may be trivial to some but to me it’s the difference between using Argos as n online retailer or using someone else.

I used to use this app on my older iPad but the new update says it’s for iOS 13 or above. It won’t let me search. Just get a message to say the site is busy. Tried contacting Argos via app but that impossible, even via an updated iPhone.
My iPad is updated (iOS 12) and just old, but works, so it’s unfair that I can’t access the app.
The message says download an older version but that won’t allow me to search or purchase goods. I can see past orders.
Such a shame. One minute we’re trying to save the planet by not disposing of old working equipment only to find we can’t use it!
Please Argos, allow us to reuse the app on older iPads. You are probably losing potential sales! Thank you, in anticipation of a mini miracle. 🤞

I used to be a fan of Argos and recommended it all my mates. However they have recently treated me so badly. I ordered a cast iron pan and they sent the wrong item. I contacted them and they organised a collection and replacement. Turns out they replaced it with the wrong item again!! I contacted customer services and she said if they don’t have the item in stock at my local Argos they will send a random item instead. SERIOUSLY??? I didn’t order a carton of milk it’s a £30 pan. How can they send me a completely different item as a replacement and think it’s ok??
So far I have to make special effort to be in for 3 collections, spend 2 hours chatting to customer services and I’ve ended up with nothing. I also have a broken arm so there’s no way for me to commute to the shops.

I was hoping great things of this app given the price rises of Argos recently but sadly they are relying on old technology for new stock and just hoping it looks after itself. An example of this is the new iPhone 14. Everyone knows it’s out of stock except Argos web page for there own web page ie the is a sliding bar on the page which says remove out of stock items from your search, sadly this option does not work as even though you can do it , it will still show you out of stock items. Something really frustrating is if it is not in your nearest store it will find your next available store with stock so imagine my surprise when Aberdeen came up as my nearest store and I am in Norfolk. This site needs to be taken down redesigned and all stores stock correctly.

What on earth has happened to this app?! Items now CONSTANTLY disappear from my basket. I put items in 6 hours ago and they’ve already disappeared…AGAIN!!!!!! This keeps happening recently. Also, the search option is fine, BUT, the ‘Sort By’ filter option is quite often a royal joke. For example, I just searched “yellow sofa” and yellow sofas come up, as expected - all fine. However, I then used the filter option (for “yellow sofa”) to go from a low to high price and everything yellow comes up, starting with a £1-pack of lemon briefs. Really, Argos?! There isn’t even the mention of the word, ‘yellow’ in neither the title, nor the description of the aforementioned briefs! After scrolling for a lifetime to reach the low-to-high sofas, with no success, I gave up.

Very good app. Gone are the days of ordered via physical catalogue. The app is good as you can choose products you want ‘near me’ option for collection.
I usually choose collection, as I’ve not purchased items that a too large to carry - my items largely being electrical and computer, i.e iPads and smart phones.
The pick point is very handy, as one can shop for groceries and pick up the item from Argos within Sainsurys.

I love Argos as a brand but find the app surprisingly clunky. The availability of items changes as you progress through the checkout process and the ApplePay option also seems to disappear when you reach the point of making payment. Also the Nectar link chucks you out of the app and wants you to sign in again in a browser window.
The app is most useful for researching items, but I find the actual purchasing process is better to leave until I’m in the store.

Big attraction to shopping with Argos was convenience of reserving online then quick collection and paying on collection
Now most stores have closed so less choice of pick up locations. Also more delay in getting goods to stores. And the option to reserve and then pay in store has gone. Not everyone has online banking options and there are those (like me) that are not comfortable with paying online.
I opt less to look for goods with Argos since the changes.
Separate issue - I have been given returned goods on the past. Not acceptable.

Why is the ‘order confirmation’ bug NEVER fixed!

The checkout process of this app has been soooo bad for almost a year now if not longer & i don’t understand how it aint been sorted. Argos are a huge company so their app developer should be alot better then what it is. Whenever you buy something after you have paid you get no order confirmation the screen just goes a blank white. Surely shouldn’t be to hard to fix this. Then also it keeps signing you out now aswell which is annoying. Everytime you go onto the app you have to sign in again. These 2 bugs just seem so easy to sort out that i cant get why they haven’t been after so long.

What is with the dark mode? It makes everything hard to read and more noisy to the eye. How do I turn this off? If you go to library and pick up an book ever printed you will see that it’s black text on a white background. There is a reason for this.
Search. The search field should persist on every page. If I search for N item abs you don’t have what I’m looking for why should I have to navigate back 2 screens to find the search field. The search field is also too small and is demoted by this frankly pointless visual search tht is clumsy to use and not very intuitive. Very clever that you can do it, but I suspect it’s not something that people really wanted.
Gift card. I added details of a gift card to my account. Next time I use the app the details are not on there and I can’t for the life of me work out how to enter it again.
Overall you have created a monster from something that previously very simple to use. Too much mental overload every single step of the journey. Less is more!

Latest update doesn't save my local store for click & collect stock check anymore. It always used to save it even after closing down app and even turning power off/on.
Apple pay and fast track great, when it works. But Apple pay only works for cheaper items. Other websites can do limit less Apple pay transactions. What's going on Argos. Your behind the times. Also constantly crashing in latest version. I shop else where when I can just to pay with Apple pay now that you can't easily pay in store during lock downs. Catch up Argos.

Tried to order an item for collection and it selected a store several miles away, even though I live next door to one. After placing the order and paying, the item remained in my trolly, which made me think that the order hadn’t gone through. When you go to look through orders, nothing appears in the list - instead, you are given a search box into which you have to type the order number from the confirmation email (that takes ages to arrive). It’s also really difficult to link your Nectar card to your account now that they’ve changed how Nectar card logins work.
Please, Argos, hire a UX expert to sort this process mess out!

As a blind couple, we rely on this service very much because it costs less to get something delivered when we want it delivered and is cheaper than paying for a taxi to get into our local town. this is somewhat offset by the fact that, when checking out, we are unable to easily determine which delivery slot has been selected while using VoiceOver, the built-in screen reader on iOS. The app doesn’t give any indication of which slot we have chosen, and doesn’t reflect it in the total at the bottom of the screen before you press the continue button to select your payment method. We only find out which slot we have chosen once we receive the confirmation text message after we have put in our payment details. It really isn’t good enough and has been like it for ages. Can you please fix this?

Fix needed for automatic signing out / missing nectar points

The app itself is easy to use and quick to pay for goods but…. It constantly logs you out without realising and you miss out on nectar points. There is no indication your account has been signed out though as it lets you pay by Apple Pay and knows all of your name/address details for the reservation which you receive an email and text for but if you click on your account then it says you have been signed out. This means that to make sure you are getting nectar points you have to go to account and sign in (every time!). Most apps keep you logged in so I’m not sure why this one doesn’t. That is the only issue. Argos please rectify this!

I had ordered some of these from Apple direct and the waiting list was weeks. Looked on Argos, ordered, paid and can pick them up tomorrow. Brilliant! Could have chosen a different store and got them today but don’t want to go out today. Also had option to have them delivered for usual cost tomorrow, but nipping to Sainsbury’s anyway so will pick them up at the same time. Oh and will get Nectar Points too for buying from Argos. Thanks Argos. 😀

Tried buying an Apple Watch a few days ago using the app on my iPhone. I couldn’t even login using face I.D. for whatever reason. I entered my details manually with the same result. Called Argos and they suggested I ask for a password reset. I didn’t even get the email to do so. They then suggested I register a new account but an error saying my email address was invalid.
I tried again today with same issues. I tried internet explorer and Chrome but always getting “invalid email address” error message.
After reading all these complaints about the app here, I’ve decided not to risk using the app again even though nobody else has had a similar issue to me.
I’m determined to buy the watch in Argos as I have nectar points to use up so will wait until the stores reopen from lockdown and buy in person in store.
I’m not going to risk trying the app especially for such an expensive item having read of taking payments without confirmation emails. I can’t even get that far as can’t login to attempt a purchase!
Very poor app but customer service people are very polite but unable to help.

Ive been trying to pay online and collect in store using my iPhone. Unfortunately when it comes to selecting another payment method other than using Apple Pay within this App. I am forced to use only Apple Pay. I wanted to use my other debit card to pay online. It keeps saying we can’t find the page you were looking for which is very frustrating. Also it would be nice to be offered the option of breakdown cover when I purchase an item online using this app. The app lacks when you try to find alternative store for items out of stock at my local Argos. Some aspects of the app is good, but needs improvements.

The app would be 5 stars if the problem with errors occurring at checkout, not allowing payment with other options, only allowing Apple Pay.
Also we have got to the point of paying only to finds out then there is none in stock, however this was back in May 2020 and not noticed recently so this may be addressed now.
Other than paying the app and the process is excellent.

I placed an order today in the afternoon (tv, aerial tv, Nintendo switch). After paying the order wasn’t processed, I realised because I didn’t receive any email from them but when I checked my bank account the money was gone. I contacted customer service, Matthew told me it can happen and my money would be refund in few days, he also suggested to place another order. I did so and guess what... same as previous order!! I contacted my bank that told me only Argos can cancel/block the payments. I contacted Argos back and said my money will be available from 28th December as they can’t do anything. Basically they are not able to process orders but only payments!! At least they would have sent an email to apologies explaining what happened but nothing, I had to stress out to contact them. Such a poor service it’s a deal breaker and a spread of bad publicity.

The warehouse delivered my parcel to the wrong address and even called me during the day to confirm delivery and HE KNOWS it is the wrong recipient STILL, he delivered it there. But told me he will speak with his manager to confirm what to do and will update me. Yet weeks passed. No update. I spoke with customer service who said they cannot help me since they do not have access to the warehouse and their system says it’s been delivered to the wrong address which was my previous address. Deceitful! So disappointed. Now I can’t get my money back since it’s been dispatched already. And my bank would not refund my money because they said contact the retailer but retailer won’t refund. So money wasted! Such a disgrace. I deleted the app right away and won’t order from Argos ever again.

I’ve been trying to order an item for 3 days but each time it’s failed so I checked the App Store to see if there was an update available. Apparently an update was released 5 days ago with checkout bug fixes. Ironically I’ve never had an issue at checkout until now. Not the best time of year for your app to not allow customers to place an order. I’ve tried looking on your help pages for either app or technical support to report the problem but no matter what I search for you just think my tv isn’t working. Please hurry up and sort it, I’ve got loads of Christmas shopping to do 🙄

I have been using Argos for many years. They always have a great selection of items and the fact they have now pair up with TU and offer clothing it has made life so much easier. As a full time working mum I find I don’t have time to shop around for the great deals but I can shop with ease and grab a bargain too. Argo heavily reduce items sometimes which is great for Christmas. I love the fact they offer everything from roof to toes!! Thanks Argos

I use Argos on a regular basis, they’ve always got a bit of everything you need from the kids, to stuff for the house, to stuff for the pets. They’re quick and easy at deliveries and if there’s anything wrong they’re quick enough at helping you get it sorted! Thanks argos
P.S at the moment there’s a bug issue with the wishlist where you remove something then the whole wishlist vanishes but if you come out of it the wishlist then back on the item is removed and everything else is still there. Just letting Argos know so they can sort it

We made an order for a fridge freezer and a oven with a induction hob. Both arranged for specific dates. They turned up but the other way round which caused us a load of stress.
Not only did we have to pay the electrician £50 all out fee but we had a fridge freezer stuck in our conservatory for 2 weeks.
Having all this in a transcript for the online chat was useful as they could see they was in the wrong. We had to make another order because the oven and hob turned out to be ceramic and not induction so we had to spend out another £700 and had to wait 3-5 days to get a refund.
We got the new oven and hob from curry’s as the stress Argos caused us was too much.
We then waited 5 weeks before a refund was given back. After being promised 3-5 days.
We spent countless phone calls and emails trying to get hold of Argos it proved almost impossible being put on hold for up to two hours at a time, which I have seen shots to prove!
I will never recommend Argos to anyone, there online service is at the bottom of the pile...

This app has been mostly useless on and off for the last 2 years. Whenever I try and place an order it just crashes or errors out. I’ve had to log into the main website and find everything I want again. This is clearly an issue as if you call the staff are well aware of it. What’s the point of this app apart from to window shop. I tried to change my password earlier as now when I try to log in it says that my password may be compromised and to change it but when I log in and select change password, it automatically says log in error and I have to sign in again. This is just looped until you give up. I won’t be using Argos again. The service is awful.

I am worried that the iPhone Argos app might have a security issue. We attempted to use the PayPal checkout to complete a payment, but were told after completing the PayPal details that it was not possible to complete the transaction. Tried again, eventually completed the order without problem using debit card.
Shortly after, received text from “PayPal “ saying unusual activity on the account, link in text to verify the activity was me. Clicked the link, started to fill out some details, got suspicious when they wanted to confirm bank details, so severed link. PayPal confirmed this was an attempt at scam, so passwords etc changed.
Informed the scams email at Argos, no response/interest shown.
Don’t know for sure it was the app, but big coincidence otherwise.

Bugs in the payment system

(1) Tried to purchase item three times and each time it bugs out, but doesn’t provide an error message, just takes you back to your basket.
(2) why are the delivery/collection options arranged in horizontal tabs? It’s a payment process and should be a vertical progression through options. It’s not immediately obvious where the delivery options are because of this layout.
(3) the screen is too busy during the order placement process. Try implementing a visible slide from one stage of the order placement process to the next, maybe collapse sections once they’re complete. Whole experience is a little disorientating.

This app shows stock when there is actually sold out. I was about to order for click and collect and drive from Aberdeen to Peterhead (the app claimed the stock was available) to get the product. Just to be make sure, I phoned the Peterhead Argos to confirm stock availability and was informed that the last product was SOLD the previous day and somehow the app was still showing stock availability the day I wanted to purchase. It should not be that hard to update if a product is out of stock. There is also NO WAY to know WHEN stock will be available at any of the stores (the app just says it is out of stock). I have been looking for an exercise mat for a week now to see if any of the Aberdeen stores have replenished their stock and NO LUCK! Most exercise equipments are also not in stock for a week now and even when you phone to Argos to enquire they simply don’t know!
Terrible app and customer service. I already deleted the app...

Been using the app quite happily and now it’s not working properly. It’s fine until you complete the bank security check. When it returns to the Argos screen it says it can’t find your basket. However the money is now pending in your bank account so you can’t access it but you have no order. Luckily money seems to be returned next day. However I’d really like to order my items. I called to ask advice. I was advised to try when less busy so at 2am this morning I tried again exactly the same thing happened. I can’t collect in store as am trying to order heavy furniture and need it delivered. Please help and let me know when I can safely order. Thanks.

While this app gets regular updates, a very serious flaw has been allowed to persist for many weeks now. It’s happened more than once to me, Argos staff are apparently well aware of this and I have also read of it in other reviews. There are circumstances in which, after payment is processed, you are crashed out of your order with a message like “Oops something went wrong”. Even if you successfully get beyond the app, much of the Argos experience is worse than it needs to be in these difficult times of Covid-19, such as having to drive past still closed spacious warehouses to run the gauntlet of shoppers (but mainly too-close staff) at Sainsbury’s stores, where the Argos pick-up is usually at the back of the shop. Same-day delivery seems a better choice but may need to be weighed-up against competitors’ free tracked delivery options. That, of course, if you aren’t crashed out of your order after you’ve spent time making your choice!

No notification to collect an order from a week ago... Couldn’t speak to anyone on the phone or on the Argos chat as a 28 minute wait that never got shorter then 28 minutes... Cancelled order and tried to reorder from a closer store. Then had problems paying online. The service was down... All day? Ended up having to set up Apple Pay, which went straight through. Let’s hope my order is actually ready for collection tomorrow and I don’t have to go through this again next week.

Argos is currently taking money from customers without goods available. The app crashes when you try to make orders. When you call them the first thing that it says is “don’t worry you’ll get your money back in 8 days just re order for now” I ordered a chair £200 so for me to order it twice would of meant Argos having £400 of my money gaining interest in their account and not mine.
Absolutely disgraceful. I would love to meet the person in charge of this company because they have no idea what they’re doing. I would remove this app until it works if they have no intention of fixing it.
Apple should consider removing this app as it’s not fit for purpose, judging by the 5 stars it’s received id also question if all those reviews are legitimate. You’d think they had invented an app that cures cancer but in reality it’s a shopping app that takes your money, crashes, says don’t worry pay twice and we will refund you in 8 days for the first one? Erm hello? 5 star app? I don’t think so.

I’m still surprised as to how this app as recurved a 4 star rating.. for one I’ve tried to order a product for my grandmother for the past month. For delivery the screen stays white, I’ve then decided yesterday after a whole month to just purchase and collect in store... tried that money was taken but I got given a error message. Checked my bank, money has being taken from my account. Now to the best bit, trying to contact Argos about this... WOW. For a multimillion company the contact service is atrocious, Almost 2 hours on the phone service and still waiting for a chat advisor (2. Hours 15 mins later).. I mean honestly?

I’m an NHS keyworker, this weekend i decided to order a new wardrobe as i’m decorating my room. The last thing i needed was added stress. I tried to order a wardrobe from the app and it wouldn’t let me as it kept showing a blank white screen. I then went online and placed an order, when i’d entered my bank details the system crashed and i didn’t receive an order number or an email, i checked my bank account and the money had been taken. I was furious when i saw this, i stayed on the live chat option for 2 hours and was never put through i then decided to call the number and it was just an automated message telling me that i should be refunded in 5 days. It’s just not good enough Argos, you’ve ruined my weekend and now i’m going to be worried sick about whether or not i will be refunded this is the LAST thing i needed during this time as i still have to work full time at the hospital. It’s just absolutely shocking and disgraceful
EDIT: i received the money back in my account in 2 days later. I just tried to buy it again and the same thing has happened. You have taken my money again and it’s come up as an error! I will never shop with you again.

This app is literally useless. Twice I’ve tried to place an order for delivery, I go through the whole payment process, it tells me the payment was successful, then suddenly it says there was a problem with my order and takes me back to the checkout page to pay again, so I put my details in again and the same thing happens over and over! So now I’m left with the money pending to come out of my bank for 2 orders which are the same because it made me do it twice! No confirmation email, no order number, just straight back to the checkout page. So there is NO order being delivered to me yet the money is still pending to come out of my bank. Worst app I’ve ever used to order from!

Terrible App if you want a delivery or to see your orders

So this is an app to purchase things from Argos. It would be nice if it would let you do that! Select a product, go to the basket, select delivery (same day - woo hoo!), then progress to checkout.....to a blank white screen. No ability to proceed. No error message. Nothing. Okay, so let’s collect instead. This time the checkout screen does work, well after the app decides to show a red progress bar that sometimes finishes loading. Don’t bother reserving the item, because you won’t find it in the reservations area. That’s another blank screen! Of and if you place the order, you won’t be able to see it here because there isn’t a My Orders area on the app. You have to log into your account on a browser to see My Orders.
Please forget Wishlists syncing via cloud services and other fancy stuff - just get this purchasing app to do that and do proper order management. It’s not rocket science!

Online stock availability could be better

Lots of great products and a good look to the app but in the next update why not add a filter for the products that are not in stock in our local area. Hate going on to try and find something and it says either “Limited stock” or “in stock but not available for delivery to my area” so frustrating. Plus if we add it to our wish list then we should get notifications when it is back in stock to give the customers that have been looking for it for a while the chance of buying.

Been trying for days to order/reserve items that apparently are in stock and then suddenly they aren’t. The mobile app is totally out of sync with the on line site or vice versa. The website/apps have never been perfect but I’ve never seen them this bad. A lot of potential customers must be being driven away to shop elsewhere at Currys or John Lewis etc. This coupled with inaccurate product description makes buying in this manner an absolute minefield. I tried the online chat to try and sort through the issues and although I spoke to a jolly nice chap, he would have been better employed supporting a column of air 16 miles high.

Faulty App, Duplicate Orders & Payments

I have used this app twice in recent months and both times during the checkout process it has stated that the payment has failed (nothing wrong with my bank balance or card) so I have tried again for it to fail again, but then receive emails stating that my orders (duplicate orders) have been confirmed and payment taken twice from my debit card despite the items still showing in the trolley on the app as if I still have yet to complete the transaction. I thought the first time was a glitch, or maybe my fault, but this has happened twice now. I’ve fed this back to an agent at Argos but I dare say they care. Hopefully the developers will see this review and address this issue.

Not friendly when checking other stores

This app page is not friendly and annoying. When you click 'check stock in other stores' it takes you to the next screen which is taken over by a massive map and therefore you can barely see the list of other stores to to check stock. The map does not need to be there, or make it smaller. People want to see the list of local stores. Why make it so pathetic.

Most of the app works but the fast pay is rubish

For looking up items the app is fine although the sections don't always make sence. A simple index like in the magazine would save having to follow various paths in the app only to find the home storage item you want is not under home>storage.
Also the fast pay screen use to take ages to load, over 10min but you just put the phone down and do something else. Recently it has started coming up page not found after a few minutes. I'm poor quality app with an odd way of organising products that does not seem to match the magazine. But if you just want to reserve stuff it gets the job done.

I have bought many items over the last month and all but one item they had in stock. The Argos App is really easy to use and the best bit is you can get your orders on the same day which is cheaper than a bus fair into town. The people that deliver the orders have always been very polite, professional and friendly. They have never been late. Fast track is a great system to use and would highly recommend giving it a go at least. One suggestion would be to have an Argos loyalty card like they do in most gig show now ( just a thought). Keep up the good work!!!😃👍👍

App occasionally doesn’t like its buttons being pressed but main beef is the awful payment provider iframe which has the cancel / ok buttons the wrong way around (so you press the wrong one) but also that MasterCard sent me 3 codes to confirm purchase (each one failed) and 10 minutes after giving up I got another text message from them saying did I want to confirm the original payment. Fraud silo product team verses payment authorisation silo product team. :-(

New toys are great, but consistent experience first!

For a company with such potential, they let the guy with the talent write the app updates! Why not let them loose on an Instagram account - oh no that’s locked?! Facebook Page - nope?! - are they connected to the app - nope?! Does it allow notifications - ummm nope?! but it does have it AR - ummm yes?
As for the app, forget the AR, build a consistent experience for your customers before doing shiny stuff and whizz bang type stuff. How can the Argos Card be so good and this so bad.
Overall, I sincerely hope the Sainsbury’s investment starts to make Argos a consistent brand because at the moment it’s so busy looking at the smaller details it’s getting left behind on the bigger picture - in quick changing times this app needs a good working over before going Oooooh!! about AR.

The app I believe miss leads you. I added 11 items into my bag and continued to check out. When I put through my payment the screen said error: invalid session ID. I automatically thought that my payment never went trough so I came out of check out and saw that my items are still in the bag. I used a gift card also my Argos store card to make the payment. I went into My Argos Card application and saw that the money was actually taken out the account which was extremely frustrating. When I called customer services the lady informed me that the money was taken but the order was not processed and then refunded me. Be careful when placing an order to make sure money is not taken when your order is not processed. If I was to leave the order to another time to complete god knows how much interest I was going to be charged by the time I realised what happened.

Order my item on Wednesday and paid for them in my card to be delivered but they never came Thursday morning or Thursday night or Friday morning or Friday night then not even sat morning or Saturday night I’m fed up with call or live chatting changing my shift sit in wait for things that never arrive I have had to take time off work to go and collect them today Sunday so I have the present just goes to show do it yourself don’t rely on anyone no happy

Well actually knowing what the author of the version notes says already, probably quite a lot! What a fantastic series of version notes, I actually look forward to bugs occurring just so I can read the updated notes when it’s squashed (or caught and thrown outside or whatever you do with your bugs) crazy humanitarians! What with all their PCness and animal (big) rights.
Hmmm ok that’s the tangent done, keep up the great work and give that person a pay rise! But don’t let them change job!!
