Purchase fails valid with discount

Tried multiple times earlier this week, via the app and web, to purchase item with a valid (FURN20) discount code, but got unknown error… Now the code has expired, the purchase goes through as expected. Annoying!

Shocking service

Ordered garden furniture and arranged delivery only to receive a text 1.5 hours before delivery advising that the full order had been cancelled as no longer in stock. Tried to find out via chat what had happened as items showing as in stock. Advice via chat was not very helpful and unclear and advised to place the order again, which I have done but the earliest delivery available is now 4 weeks away. Really poor service all round

Useless search function

I typed in a specific tv model number. It showed endless list of items made by LG. After doom scrolling for 5 mins I gave up & spent my £1200 at John Lewis.
If you don’t stock it simply say at the top of search, saves me wasting my time. I would have considered other alternatives in your stock had this app been clear & upfront.

Search by code doesn’t work

Argos gives every product in their catalogue a unique seven digit (xxx/xxxx) code. When you go into a store, you can use the code to order/pay for the item you want. For some unknown reason, the website and app does not support this - why not?

Doesn’t save card details, still don’t trust using Apple Pay

I’ve linked my Nectar card to my Argos account. It shows when I check in the app. Despite this, if I pay via Apple Pay it doesn’t register against my Nectar card. It doesn’t always register if I use other payment methods too, as the app constantly logs you out of your account.
The app is now no longer saving my card details, so I have to type them in every single time I make an order. I can’t trust using another payment method, such as Apple Pay, as in the past it hasn’t given me Nectar points, so I refuse to try them even though I’d prefer to use them.

I like Argos BUT, Sort your comms out!

Always been a fan of Argos, love the app, used to love the stores until you built fake stores that have no stock and are more like pick up points - even though show same day collection; order then get the reality it’s after 15:00. My biggest gripe and why I avoid using you unless absolutely necessary is your GDPR breaches, lack of care for customers and their consent and manipulation of what you deem marketting and not. YOU CANNOT MAKE A PURCHASE, MAKE IT CLEAR THAT ‘I DO NOT CONSENT’ and have trust you will adhere to it. Each time you send me a plethora of emails, mainly ‘leave us a review’ even though I don’t want you mail or to leave you a review. In an age where people are digital first and companies are designing for digital first, your scoring and own goal and putting people off returning. If someone has a poor digital journey (including comms) there is an 80% chance of them never returning. Run the numbers and see how many one of purchases you have, then speak to those people. Today was my last Argos visit… all because you spam me and unethically navigate contact preferences!

Great Products, Easy Finance, and Smooth Service

Good providing you aren't a VoiceOver user and don't want to look at the reviews

I have always found the Argos app to be helpful, but when I went to look at a possible potential purchase, I wanted to read the reviews, I found that I could not. I am a blind iPhone user running iOS 26.2 on an iPhone 16 and I am using VoiceOver. When I Double Tap on the reviews, all I get is a screen to choose how I want my reviews displayed and when I select the option, I simply get a screen with nothing on it. I have tried to turn on screen recognition to see if there is an icon that VoiceOver is not reading that will help me read the reviews, but nothing. If I can't read reviews, I won't be buying. Sorry. You need to fix this.

Incompetence

Tried to order an item, god know what happened because it was never delivered. Got in touch with the team to get the refund, I was informed it would take 5 working days to be in my account, which didn't happen. Had to get in touch again to get the refund but had to wait another 2 days. I had the genius idea of trying to order another item with Argos and once again it wasn't delivered. Then same process, got in touch to get a refund, was informed it would take 5 working days. Didn't happen. Now, I'm currently in touch AGAIN to get my refund, and taking forever to get answers from them. Conclusion: avoid buying at Argos. Only do it if you're happy to waste your time and patience.

What’s happening?

I rearly write reviews on here. I absolutely loved the app but for the past few days. About a week ago by life long regular order wish list vanished. Years worth of regular consumables I had wish lifted all went and have not recovered since the update yesterday. I’ll have to start from scratch basically and I keep getting signed out and a whole load of issues. I’ve never had issues on your app and absolutely loved it but it’s constantly signing me out. Keep getting errors left right and centre and has nothing to do with my iPhone 16 pro or my ISP. Please fix this because I fell in love with the app and now I question weather it’s something I should rely upon anymore. Please fix these issues. As a loyal customer for decades this can’t be happening at the worst possible time. I hope fixes are in the works and both website and app work as well as it use too. I hope my data is secure in the process. Hoping I get a response and some reassurance so I keep shopping at my favourite high street retailer. All the best. Please fix the issues.

Problems since last update

The app is brilliant but I’ve been having problems since the last update, I’m using an iPad Pro and when I click on an image to view it full screen, when I’m done then I try and click the X to close full screen the majority of the time it doesn’t work, I can scroll through all the pictures available but just can’t close full screen without fully closing the app and restarting it, please fix it, its starting to get really annoying having to re look for items again, or not being able to look at the pictures in full screen

Don’t buy anything from Argos

I’ve been shopping in Argos my whole life. However, they say oh if you change your mind you can return it within 28 days. BUT they have this new policy in place where it has to be untouched unopened and unused.
So I bought a tv and it was so small for the space o bought it for. I attempted to return it to Tottenham Argos. However I was told it has fingerprints on it they won’t take it back. 🤯 it means I used it. So when I asked her how the hell was I supposed to take it out the box to see the size without touching it 🤯 she just shrugged. Okay then Trevor and your Somali colleague with no common sense.
So please someone explain to me why on earth would anyone buy something, take it home look at the box, not actually see the item in person (because your not allowed to open it) and then proceed to return it to Argos??? Where is the logic of opening it and looking at it and then deciding it isn’t for me or what I wanted it for??!!

Don’t use this app

The app itself is not that bad except for two significant problems. The first is that it appears to be logged in when it isn’t meaning the order is not associated with your account when you try and associate or chase up an order you have to answer security questions (once for the bot and a second time for a real person) and you are asked for a postcode twice each time, once for you billing address and once for the delivery address but it does not specify which is which and this is annoying if you did click and collect. The biggest problem though is where you ask for something to be delivered because the app will often tell you something is in stock when it isn’t- this has happen the last three times I have used the app. There is no tracking and no information about where it is (I suspect it does not exist) and the only way to get a refund is to go to a store to get the order cancelled. I did chase the last one up and was told it would be prioritised for next day delivery but it never turned up. I am now going to delete the app and will go elsewhere in future:-(

Very good app but may have some bugs

I’ve been using the app a lot lately for my move and I’ve found it to be very good. I love how easy it is to find stuff without struggle and the wishlist section is useful to keep track of items I want to come back to. You get quite a lot of notifications and emails, some of which I find a bit unnecessary as both notification and email will be about the same thing. The notifications are useful though when you have an item in your wishlist that has a price drop. The only issue which I find can happen is that if the Apple Pay option is showing and the other pay options are available, you get a ‘failed operation’ so you have no choice but to use Apple Pay which can be a bit annoying although it not the biggest issue in the world, I guess.

2024 And still this App Crashes

Have tried numerous times to purchase goods and every time I get to payment screen the app crashes and reverts back to home page. Have spoken 3 times to Argos staff who claim that there’s possible issues using Apple iPhones to place order 🤷🏻‍♀️ thankfully I’m not loosing money as attempting to purchase on Argos credit card & the system blips at payment screen. Terrible Customer service and good luck trying to chat with a human the bots are running the asylum. Also for someone who is disabled & house bound the process for collecting goods is a nightmare 🙈 carers/family have been declined receipt of goods as goods can ONLY be passed to card holder 🙈 so basically everything has to be home delivered. Let’s hope someone listens to all customers grievances re the App, taking monies, not handing goods over etc…. Argos you once were a company I enjoyed shopping with but issues lately have made me shop elsewhere 😢 PLEASE DO BETTER !

Better off using the website

I used to really like the Argos App until a few weeks ago when I found I could no longer see any of the pictures that customers had included with their review.
I always find it useful to be gum able to look at photo’s of an item that I’m interested in buying when they’re left by customer’s along with their review. For example if it’s an item of furniture it lets me see it in a house setting. For the last couple of weeks I can still see if a reviewer has left a comment n mmm l otograph/s but once I click on the review any images will just disappear. As this only happens when I use the App, I’m back to using the website.

Collection..

I ordered an item, but my mistake I selected the wrong collection point ( a city centre convenience store) rather than the easy to get to main Sainsbury’s superstore in york. I contacted ( within minutes) Argos helpers ( sic) who after several minutes said that they were unable to change it to the nearby large store ( with car parking) . They pointed out that they are not a live chat which lead to the delay. The actual live chat function “ had no colleagues available “ so no help. I just find it difficult to understand in these days of computer ordering that they could not have helped by simply changing the store collect number. I guess the Sainsbury’s takeover of Argos didn’t include revamping their computer systems

Works well…

The App works well, has many things available which I want to browse for, read reviewed about or take a look at, however there is a glitch on the App which causes me not being able to view my past orders, so I have to check as to whether the App needs an update and if it does not, then I have to close and reopen the app multiple times and sometimes that doesn’t fix it either which is frustrating, other than that, I generally have a good experience with the App.

Argos has become such a poorly run company. I have returned items in the past and not been refunded for them. I’ve ordered items on their app but didn't receive information on when to pick them up. I had to call customer services, only to find out that what I ordered was a "ghost order." This means they advertise the item as "in stock," take your money, but it's actually unavailable. So now you’re left without the item and your money. And now your stuck waiting for a refund on money they had no rights to take. Which is concerning because I've had bad experiences with not receiving refunds from Argos in the past. Additionally, if you go to the store and ask for help from the staff, they are often rude and don’t want to help.

Love Argos but…

I can’t fault Argos as a retailer. As a retailer I’d give them 5 star, this app, however, is frustrating. The most recent order I made via the app told me that my order was ready for collection, it wasn’t. Accesssing my previous orders in the app is hit and miss too, several time in the past couple of days I’ve been met with an error message telling me that the info is unavailable. Perhaps most annoying of all is the fact that all the items in my wish list have disappeared and it is now completely empty. These issues may be trivial to some but to me it’s the difference between using Argos as n online retailer or using someone else.

Can’t open on older iPad now

I used to use this app on my older iPad but the new update says it’s for iOS 13 or above. It won’t let me search. Just get a message to say the site is busy. Tried contacting Argos via app but that impossible, even via an updated iPhone.
My iPad is updated (iOS 12) and just old, but works, so it’s unfair that I can’t access the app.
The message says download an older version but that won’t allow me to search or purchase goods. I can see past orders.
Such a shame. One minute we’re trying to save the planet by not disposing of old working equipment only to find we can’t use it!
Please Argos, allow us to reuse the app on older iPads. You are probably losing potential sales! Thank you, in anticipation of a mini miracle. 🤞

Worst experience ever

I used to be a fan of Argos and recommended it all my mates. However they have recently treated me so badly. I ordered a cast iron pan and they sent the wrong item. I contacted them and they organised a collection and replacement. Turns out they replaced it with the wrong item again!! I contacted customer services and she said if they don’t have the item in stock at my local Argos they will send a random item instead. SERIOUSLY??? I didn’t order a carton of milk it’s a £30 pan. How can they send me a completely different item as a replacement and think it’s ok??
So far I have to make special effort to be in for 3 collections, spend 2 hours chatting to customer services and I’ve ended up with nothing. I also have a broken arm so there’s no way for me to commute to the shops.

Downhill, and fast

What on earth has happened to this app?! Items now CONSTANTLY disappear from my basket. I put items in 6 hours ago and they’ve already disappeared…AGAIN!!!!!! This keeps happening recently. Also, the search option is fine, BUT, the ‘Sort By’ filter option is quite often a royal joke. For example, I just searched “yellow sofa” and yellow sofas come up, as expected - all fine. However, I then used the filter option (for “yellow sofa”) to go from a low to high price and everything yellow comes up, starting with a £1-pack of lemon briefs. Really, Argos?! There isn’t even the mention of the word, ‘yellow’ in neither the title, nor the description of the aforementioned briefs! After scrolling for a lifetime to reach the low-to-high sofas, with no success, I gave up.

Worst app ever!

I can't understand why such simple issues on the Argos app cannot be repaired very quickly I noticed all the apps which are very small the developers, fix issues quickly how many years of this app Bing on the App Store? Add to Apple I would say I'm pretty disgrace that you allow this on the App Store it is rubbish and it is taking peoples money. So I won't dictate anymore as it's making a bit of a mess I what I am saying I can only apologise and hope you make out make out make out suggest, of what I am saying so if I could give this app zero stars I would unfortunately I can't. I just hope Apple start looking at the reviews are the developer and taking notice of them and get them to start doing some preparation work so thank you and please if you want to get the app I think it's free it is it is a free app won't be careful what details you bought it. Are use many shopping apps which are fantastic which work with the accessibility with VoiceOver which for those who don't know is speech on the iPhone for the visually impaired are use Tesco and other apps which who is developers listen to their customers and they actually care. I wanna just noticed but too late but this app has dreadful reviews as well as my own I how it gets all the star ratings it does is beyond me! If I was record as a make a reservation meditation fathers app, I would say do not bother because the developer the developers, or, Argos do not give a stuff about their name or their customers.

Clunky

I love Argos as a brand but find the app surprisingly clunky. The availability of items changes as you progress through the checkout process and the ApplePay option also seems to disappear when you reach the point of making payment. Also the Nectar link chucks you out of the app and wants you to sign in again in a browser window.
The app is most useful for researching items, but I find the actual purchasing process is better to leave until I’m in the store.

Why is the ‘order confirmation’ bug NEVER fixed!

The checkout process of this app has been soooo bad for almost a year now if not longer & i don’t understand how it aint been sorted. Argos are a huge company so their app developer should be alot better then what it is. Whenever you buy something after you have paid you get no order confirmation the screen just goes a blank white. Surely shouldn’t be to hard to fix this. Then also it keeps signing you out now aswell which is annoying. Everytime you go onto the app you have to sign in again. These 2 bugs just seem so easy to sort out that i cant get why they haven’t been after so long.

The latest update is not an improvement

What is with the dark mode? It makes everything hard to read and more noisy to the eye. How do I turn this off? If you go to library and pick up an book ever printed you will see that it’s black text on a white background. There is a reason for this.
Search. The search field should persist on every page. If I search for N item abs you don’t have what I’m looking for why should I have to navigate back 2 screens to find the search field. The search field is also too small and is demoted by this frankly pointless visual search tht is clumsy to use and not very intuitive. Very clever that you can do it, but I suspect it’s not something that people really wanted.
Gift card. I added details of a gift card to my account. Next time I use the app the details are not on there and I can’t for the life of me work out how to enter it again.
Overall you have created a monster from something that previously very simple to use. Too much mental overload every single step of the journey. Less is more!

App not working and staff in store not interested

Tried to order something part with nectar card and part credit card. Got as far as the credit card but and asked to use a new card but this resulted in just going round and round two screens. I lost £50 worth of nectar points (refunded a hour later) and was unable to make the purchase. Staff in store just said phone nectar for a refund. This needs amending fast otherwise you will be losing sales and customers.

Great service, shame about the accessibility

As a blind couple, we rely on this service very much because it costs less to get something delivered when we want it delivered and is cheaper than paying for a taxi to get into our local town. this is somewhat offset by the fact that, when checking out, we are unable to easily determine which delivery slot has been selected while using VoiceOver, the built-in screen reader on iOS. The app doesn’t give any indication of which slot we have chosen, and doesn’t reflect it in the total at the bottom of the screen before you press the continue button to select your payment method. We only find out which slot we have chosen once we receive the confirmation text message after we have put in our payment details. It really isn’t good enough and has been like it for ages. Can you please fix this?

Fix needed for automatic signing out / missing nectar points

The app itself is easy to use and quick to pay for goods but…. It constantly logs you out without realising and you miss out on nectar points. There is no indication your account has been signed out though as it lets you pay by Apple Pay and knows all of your name/address details for the reservation which you receive an email and text for but if you click on your account then it says you have been signed out. This means that to make sure you are getting nectar points you have to go to account and sign in (every time!). Most apps keep you logged in so I’m not sure why this one doesn’t. That is the only issue. Argos please rectify this!

AVOID THE APP!

Tried buying an Apple Watch a few days ago using the app on my iPhone. I couldn’t even login using face I.D. for whatever reason. I entered my details manually with the same result. Called Argos and they suggested I ask for a password reset. I didn’t even get the email to do so. They then suggested I register a new account but an error saying my email address was invalid.
I tried again today with same issues. I tried internet explorer and Chrome but always getting “invalid email address” error message.
After reading all these complaints about the app here, I’ve decided not to risk using the app again even though nobody else has had a similar issue to me.
I’m determined to buy the watch in Argos as I have nectar points to use up so will wait until the stores reopen from lockdown and buy in person in store.
I’m not going to risk trying the app especially for such an expensive item having read of taking payments without confirmation emails. I can’t even get that far as can’t login to attempt a purchase!
Very poor app but customer service people are very polite but unable to help.

Not a bad App but needs work.

Ive been trying to pay online and collect in store using my iPhone. Unfortunately when it comes to selecting another payment method other than using Apple Pay within this App. I am forced to use only Apple Pay. I wanted to use my other debit card to pay online. It keeps saying we can’t find the page you were looking for which is very frustrating. Also it would be nice to be offered the option of breakdown cover when I purchase an item online using this app. The app lacks when you try to find alternative store for items out of stock at my local Argos. Some aspects of the app is good, but needs improvements.

App check out problems

The app would get more stars but unfortunately it doesn’t as it says for the title for this review. This problem is an on going one a while ago I was able to use the app and pay for things no problem but recently with a few things I can’t even check out! No matter how many times I log in and out it won’t go to the payment stage so much so I have to use the website. Come on Argos sort it out please!

If they can’t confirm your order they make you pay anyway

I placed an order today in the afternoon (tv, aerial tv, Nintendo switch). After paying the order wasn’t processed, I realised because I didn’t receive any email from them but when I checked my bank account the money was gone. I contacted customer service, Matthew told me it can happen and my money would be refund in few days, he also suggested to place another order. I did so and guess what... same as previous order!! I contacted my bank that told me only Argos can cancel/block the payments. I contacted Argos back and said my money will be available from 28th December as they can’t do anything. Basically they are not able to process orders but only payments!! At least they would have sent an email to apologies explaining what happened but nothing, I had to stress out to contact them. Such a poor service it’s a deal breaker and a spread of bad publicity.

Disappointing service!

The warehouse delivered my parcel to the wrong address and even called me during the day to confirm delivery and HE KNOWS it is the wrong recipient STILL, he delivered it there. But told me he will speak with his manager to confirm what to do and will update me. Yet weeks passed. No update. I spoke with customer service who said they cannot help me since they do not have access to the warehouse and their system says it’s been delivered to the wrong address which was my previous address. Deceitful! So disappointed. Now I can’t get my money back since it’s been dispatched already. And my bank would not refund my money because they said contact the retailer but retailer won’t refund. So money wasted! Such a disgrace. I deleted the app right away and won’t order from Argos ever again.

Apple Pay not working

I’ve been trying to order an item for 3 days but each time it’s failed so I checked the App Store to see if there was an update available. Apparently an update was released 5 days ago with checkout bug fixes. Ironically I’ve never had an issue at checkout until now. Not the best time of year for your app to not allow customers to place an order. I’ve tried looking on your help pages for either app or technical support to report the problem but no matter what I search for you just think my tv isn’t working. Please hurry up and sort it, I’ve got loads of Christmas shopping to do 🙄

App is a waste of time

This app has been mostly useless on and off for the last 2 years. Whenever I try and place an order it just crashes or errors out. I’ve had to log into the main website and find everything I want again. This is clearly an issue as if you call the staff are well aware of it. What’s the point of this app apart from to window shop. I tried to change my password earlier as now when I try to log in it says that my password may be compromised and to change it but when I log in and select change password, it automatically says log in error and I have to sign in again. This is just looped until you give up. I won’t be using Argos again. The service is awful.

Possible hack

I am worried that the iPhone Argos app might have a security issue. We attempted to use the PayPal checkout to complete a payment, but were told after completing the PayPal details that it was not possible to complete the transaction. Tried again, eventually completed the order without problem using debit card.
Shortly after, received text from “PayPal “ saying unusual activity on the account, link in text to verify the activity was me. Clicked the link, started to fill out some details, got suspicious when they wanted to confirm bank details, so severed link. PayPal confirmed this was an attempt at scam, so passwords etc changed.
Informed the scams email at Argos, no response/interest shown.
Don’t know for sure it was the app, but big coincidence otherwise.

Bugs in the payment system

(1) Tried to purchase item three times and each time it bugs out, but doesn’t provide an error message, just takes you back to your basket.
(2) why are the delivery/collection options arranged in horizontal tabs? It’s a payment process and should be a vertical progression through options. It’s not immediately obvious where the delivery options are because of this layout.
(3) the screen is too busy during the order placement process. Try implementing a visible slide from one stage of the order placement process to the next, maybe collapse sections once they’re complete. Whole experience is a little disorientating.

Deceitful app - do not trust what the app shows

This app shows stock when there is actually sold out. I was about to order for click and collect and drive from Aberdeen to Peterhead (the app claimed the stock was available) to get the product. Just to be make sure, I phoned the Peterhead Argos to confirm stock availability and was informed that the last product was SOLD the previous day and somehow the app was still showing stock availability the day I wanted to purchase. It should not be that hard to update if a product is out of stock. There is also NO WAY to know WHEN stock will be available at any of the stores (the app just says it is out of stock). I have been looking for an exercise mat for a week now to see if any of the Aberdeen stores have replenished their stock and NO LUCK! Most exercise equipments are also not in stock for a week now and even when you phone to Argos to enquire they simply don’t know!
Terrible app and customer service. I already deleted the app...

Do you test this?

While this app gets regular updates, a very serious flaw has been allowed to persist for many weeks now. It’s happened more than once to me, Argos staff are apparently well aware of this and I have also read of it in other reviews. There are circumstances in which, after payment is processed, you are crashed out of your order with a message like “Oops something went wrong”. Even if you successfully get beyond the app, much of the Argos experience is worse than it needs to be in these difficult times of Covid-19, such as having to drive past still closed spacious warehouses to run the gauntlet of shoppers (but mainly too-close staff) at Sainsbury’s stores, where the Argos pick-up is usually at the back of the shop. Same-day delivery seems a better choice but may need to be weighed-up against competitors’ free tracked delivery options. That, of course, if you aren’t crashed out of your order after you’ve spent time making your choice!

Getting nowhere all day...

No notification to collect an order from a week ago... Couldn’t speak to anyone on the phone or on the Argos chat as a 28 minute wait that never got shorter then 28 minutes... Cancelled order and tried to reorder from a closer store. Then had problems paying online. The service was down... All day? Ended up having to set up Apple Pay, which went straight through. Let’s hope my order is actually ready for collection tomorrow and I don’t have to go through this again next week.

Scam App do not use!

Argos is currently taking money from customers without goods available. The app crashes when you try to make orders. When you call them the first thing that it says is “don’t worry you’ll get your money back in 8 days just re order for now” I ordered a chair £200 so for me to order it twice would of meant Argos having £400 of my money gaining interest in their account and not mine.
Absolutely disgraceful. I would love to meet the person in charge of this company because they have no idea what they’re doing. I would remove this app until it works if they have no intention of fixing it.
Apple should consider removing this app as it’s not fit for purpose, judging by the 5 stars it’s received id also question if all those reviews are legitimate. You’d think they had invented an app that cures cancer but in reality it’s a shopping app that takes your money, crashes, says don’t worry pay twice and we will refund you in 8 days for the first one? Erm hello? 5 star app? I don’t think so.

Worst service ever

I’m still surprised as to how this app as recurved a 4 star rating.. for one I’ve tried to order a product for my grandmother for the past month. For delivery the screen stays white, I’ve then decided yesterday after a whole month to just purchase and collect in store... tried that money was taken but I got given a error message. Checked my bank, money has being taken from my account. Now to the best bit, trying to contact Argos about this... WOW. For a multimillion company the contact service is atrocious, Almost 2 hours on the phone service and still waiting for a chat advisor (2. Hours 15 mins later).. I mean honestly?

Disgraceful

I’m an NHS keyworker, this weekend i decided to order a new wardrobe as i’m decorating my room. The last thing i needed was added stress. I tried to order a wardrobe from the app and it wouldn’t let me as it kept showing a blank white screen. I then went online and placed an order, when i’d entered my bank details the system crashed and i didn’t receive an order number or an email, i checked my bank account and the money had been taken. I was furious when i saw this, i stayed on the live chat option for 2 hours and was never put through i then decided to call the number and it was just an automated message telling me that i should be refunded in 5 days. It’s just not good enough Argos, you’ve ruined my weekend and now i’m going to be worried sick about whether or not i will be refunded this is the LAST thing i needed during this time as i still have to work full time at the hospital. It’s just absolutely shocking and disgraceful
EDIT: i received the money back in my account in 2 days later. I just tried to buy it again and the same thing has happened. You have taken my money again and it’s come up as an error! I will never shop with you again.

Leaves pending money in your bank, no order arrives and then gives you money back!

This app is literally useless. Twice I’ve tried to place an order for delivery, I go through the whole payment process, it tells me the payment was successful, then suddenly it says there was a problem with my order and takes me back to the checkout page to pay again, so I put my details in again and the same thing happens over and over! So now I’m left with the money pending to come out of my bank for 2 orders which are the same because it made me do it twice! No confirmation email, no order number, just straight back to the checkout page. So there is NO order being delivered to me yet the money is still pending to come out of my bank. Worst app I’ve ever used to order from!

Terrible App if you want a delivery or to see your orders

So this is an app to purchase things from Argos. It would be nice if it would let you do that! Select a product, go to the basket, select delivery (same day - woo hoo!), then progress to checkout.....to a blank white screen. No ability to proceed. No error message. Nothing. Okay, so let’s collect instead. This time the checkout screen does work, well after the app decides to show a red progress bar that sometimes finishes loading. Don’t bother reserving the item, because you won’t find it in the reservations area. That’s another blank screen! Of and if you place the order, you won’t be able to see it here because there isn’t a My Orders area on the app. You have to log into your account on a browser to see My Orders.
Please forget Wishlists syncing via cloud services and other fancy stuff - just get this purchasing app to do that and do proper order management. It’s not rocket science!

Online stock availability could be better

Lots of great products and a good look to the app but in the next update why not add a filter for the products that are not in stock in our local area. Hate going on to try and find something and it says either “Limited stock” or “in stock but not available for delivery to my area” so frustrating. Plus if we add it to our wish list then we should get notifications when it is back in stock to give the customers that have been looking for it for a while the chance of buying.

Too Many Issues

Been trying for days to order/reserve items that apparently are in stock and then suddenly they aren’t. The mobile app is totally out of sync with the on line site or vice versa. The website/apps have never been perfect but I’ve never seen them this bad. A lot of potential customers must be being driven away to shop elsewhere at Currys or John Lewis etc. This coupled with inaccurate product description makes buying in this manner an absolute minefield. I tried the online chat to try and sort through the issues and although I spoke to a jolly nice chap, he would have been better employed supporting a column of air 16 miles high.

Most of the app works but the fast pay is rubish

For looking up items the app is fine although the sections don't always make sence. A simple index like in the magazine would save having to follow various paths in the app only to find the home storage item you want is not under home>storage.
Also the fast pay screen use to take ages to load, over 10min but you just put the phone down and do something else. Recently it has started coming up page not found after a few minutes. I'm poor quality app with an odd way of organising products that does not seem to match the magazine. But if you just want to reserve stuff it gets the job done.

I have bought many items over the last month and all but one item they had in stock. The Argos App is really easy to use and the best bit is you can get your orders on the same day which is cheaper than a bus fair into town. The people that deliver the orders have always been very polite, professional and friendly. They have never been late. Fast track is a great system to use and would highly recommend giving it a go at least. One suggestion would be to have an Argos loyalty card like they do in most gig show now ( just a thought). Keep up the good work!!!😃👍👍

New toys are great, but consistent experience first!

For a company with such potential, they let the guy with the talent write the app updates! Why not let them loose on an Instagram account - oh no that’s locked?! Facebook Page - nope?! - are they connected to the app - nope?! Does it allow notifications - ummm nope?! but it does have it AR - ummm yes?
As for the app, forget the AR, build a consistent experience for your customers before doing shiny stuff and whizz bang type stuff. How can the Argos Card be so good and this so bad.
Overall, I sincerely hope the Sainsbury’s investment starts to make Argos a consistent brand because at the moment it’s so busy looking at the smaller details it’s getting left behind on the bigger picture - in quick changing times this app needs a good working over before going Oooooh!! about AR.

Useless

The app I believe miss leads you. I added 11 items into my bag and continued to check out. When I put through my payment the screen said error: invalid session ID. I automatically thought that my payment never went trough so I came out of check out and saw that my items are still in the bag. I used a gift card also my Argos store card to make the payment. I went into My Argos Card application and saw that the money was actually taken out the account which was extremely frustrating. When I called customer services the lady informed me that the money was taken but the order was not processed and then refunded me. Be careful when placing an order to make sure money is not taken when your order is not processed. If I was to leave the order to another time to complete god knows how much interest I was going to be charged by the time I realised what happened.

Fed up of waiting for them item to be delivered

Order my item on Wednesday and paid for them in my card to be delivered but they never came Thursday morning or Thursday night or Friday morning or Friday night then not even sat morning or Saturday night I’m fed up with call or live chatting changing my shift sit in wait for things that never arrive I have had to take time off work to go and collect them today Sunday so I have the present just goes to show do it yourself don’t rely on anyone no happy

What more can you say?....

Well actually knowing what the author of the version notes says already, probably quite a lot! What a fantastic series of version notes, I actually look forward to bugs occurring just so I can read the updated notes when it’s squashed (or caught and thrown outside or whatever you do with your bugs) crazy humanitarians! What with all their PCness and animal (big) rights.
Hmmm ok that’s the tangent done, keep up the great work and give that person a pay rise! But don’t let them change job!!
