Just the job

You can save your wines in a nice format on this app and I like the way cellar values are shown for all selections. The more you put into this app the more you get out of it. If you are into wine it's a great download and the upgrade is well worth the small price.

A truly good wine app for every level

The information on styles and grape varieties is excellent, educational and highly informative. It also has a well designed section for photographing, rating and making notes on your wines. You can search your wines easily and add them to your cellar. Food pairing is also comprehensively covered.

This is an excellent app. I use to help pair wine with food. However, there is so much info in the app it is really good as a learning tool about wine, how to choose wine and the wine growing regions etc.

I recently contacted the developers about an unusual wine variety that I have via the built in email facility. I got a very speedy really helpful reply, so I think four and a half stars.

Wonderful app

What a joy to find an app like this. It's full of fascinating grape varieties, regional details and food matching. Best of all it has introduced me to some great wines I would never have tried like Arneis, Marsanne and Touriga Nacional. It has also put me straight on what wines to look for from different countries and regions. All round a great wine app.

Great App

A great app to increase your knowledge of wine.

Not completely comprehensive. I noticed certain areas missing which are currently rising in status in the wine world; I contacted the developers who replied that their next update would hopefully cover these areas. Can't get fairer than that. Definitely worth the purchase price.

Simply the best

Used a lot of wine apps as I work in the restaurant industry. This is by far the best both on iPad and iPhone. I'm sure more grape varieties and more features will be added to make this app even better than it already is!

BEST food & wine pairing app

Not superficial or limited like other apps - i've checked them all and this is the best, except for Simon Tam on Asian cuisine. The focus is on the essence common to food and wine, with carefully considered content; this app is not intended to recommend vineyards or vintage or where to buy. It provides a sufficiently wide (but not over detailed) base of information and stimulates lateral thinking when pairing. Upgrade suggestions, to include: interactive pairing options to food base, cooking style and sauce/garnishing/etc; and correspondingly an expansion on ingredient qualities to support interactive pairing.

I have had this app for a while and it has been great for improving my knowledge of wine. It is clear, easy to search and has some real little gems of information. The only slight criticism that i have is that it is totally missing South Africa at the moment, however when i sent an email to the developers asking about the omission i got a very quick rely that said it would be address in an update in a month or so. Overall very impressed.

Simply brilliant.

If you are a novice wine aficionado, this app helps you select wine by creating a profile based on your responses to a quick quiz. From that point, wine can be chosen based on your taste, food type & 6 key categories. Simple, great GUI & the Twitter updates for seasonal celebrations are inspired. A must-have App for personal & party wine selections.

Great app to quickly browse through the wines, grapes, regions and pairings. Definitely will get used to brush up some knowledge and learn far more. Would love a search function to look for old world regions rather than trying to find a grape, and perhaps a small map showing the exact locations in the country?

Knowing what to expect from a wine before you buy it is a huge advantage. What I like about this app is that it guides you through all the styles and gives you a clear idea what to expect. Notes on wine regions are also covered and the section on pairing with food is simple, practical and well informed.
