I just signed up yesterday and immediately searched for hotels in my own town and to my surprise it didn't show any ,not 1 ,it did however give me plenty of places everywhere else outside of town,i just have that strange gut feeling that this app is cherry picking accommodation to show me that favours hotels it has some sort of business agreement with which is such a shame because im now deleting this app because i dont trust trivago,i dont trust that they conduct their business in an impartial manner

Needed 5 rooms for 10 adults sadly the app won’t let you set more than 4 rooms for 8 adults no good for me. Deleted will try other apps.

Trivago refuses to end support for Putin
I’ve asked trivago to stop taking bookings for Russian hotels so as to deny tax revue to Putins extermination campaign in Ukraine. They haven’t replied but have sent me an email recommending several Moscow hotels. Decent people and decent companies are boycotting Russia until it ends the bombing of maternity hospitals and refugee escape routes. It is a shame that Trivago sees only an opportunity for a quick profit. Do not support facism, boycott Russia, boycott trivago.

Struggling to trust
Having used Trivago for many years i am quickly struggling to find trust in some of there providers . Twice i have turned up to hotels with no booking, despite having providers confirmation after payment. The 1st was with Crystal travel, the 2nd was this weekend with Roomdi, having booked for 4 adults in london was told no room was booked and had to pay 3 times more at a different hotel due to been last minute. Stick with Hotels.com app or booking.com app till Trivago sort out there providers!!!

I just needed a B&B for a friends birthday, Trivago made it east to navigate with great choices for what I needed. I got the the same room I had looked at booking directly with the hotel- but cheaper!
I would definitely recommend checking here first.

Find the web site difficult to use eg am trying to book a holiday but the website will not allow me to change dates.

App kept changing the default input dates to next month
The trivago app changed the booking dates to the wrong dates. I only notice after booking a non refundable booking. Turned up to the hotel and ended up paying double! Extremely disappointed with trivago. Will be posting this review to my social media as well to help identify the bug to help others avoid this issue.

The Advertising on the Television doesn’t lie if you book your Hotel via Trivago because I always remember to do just that, and I will gladly give you a little bit of advice and that is to try and make your booking a long time prior to the actual date because I have discovered that the Hotel’s generally find the best rooms for you, and that joined with the best deals that Trivago can find you are a Winner.

I stayed at this hotel over the weekend, we struggled to find it due to very bad signage.
When we eventually arrived, the staff were brilliant, very efficient. Rooms excellent, Prefer kettle as opposed to pod machine.
Evening meal excellent, service and food was great.
Breakfast was great on Saturday but Sunday was another story . Couldn’t get a table because no one was clearing them. 10 minutes later we had to go and find someone to clear, there was at least 13 tables available just not cleared. Was told that there was only 5 staff in total. Eventually got a table, after 30 mins had to chase them to bring my cup of tea.
Shame. As everything else was great

Europa hotel Belfast
Stayed in Europa hotel Belfast on 4th Aug til 5th and will never stay in this hotel again ! Stayed in the 4* rated superior room which I would b generous to give it a 2* and with 17 faults from curtains hanging off rails cigarette burns on furniture and that’s just for starters , this Hastings hotel needs seriously looked at .

When will companies such as yours get together and provide the facility to search for hotel rooms with wheelchair accessible bathrooms. Ideally with photos. Simple photos are all that is required.

Used to love this app but since the upgrade it’s terrible. No map feature, filters don’t work and it doesn’t show the lowest price by default.

Dishonest/unprofessional
Even though the rate of room per night are showed in local currency but the payments are made in USD. This causes extra charges & not fixed exchange rate. Will not book on this app ever again because of poor transparency of cash dealings.

The deals are outdated by the time you have filtered and tapped on the view deal. It will take you to the actual deal and it’s three times as much.
I think trivago has a long way to go to be able to properly be a hotel comparison app.

Worst travel compare app out there
Time and time again the search brings up what looks to be a good deal. There is absolutely no coma risen to the deals that are shown and what you are able to book. Usually Trivago redirects you to other websites acting like a portal, not once have I been able to book a good deal. There are plenty of other comparison apps available, I'd try one of those first or even go directly to where you'd like to stay. Happy booking
