Beautiful and practical

This is a truly stunning app. It looks amazing with (almost) live satellite imagery of weather overlaid across the planet, provides accurate forecast information and can be used as your bedside alarm. And, after I pointed out a recent iOS16 glitch, was updated in a couple of days. Thoroughly recommend.

Let me switch off night time

Half the world is not visible , can I switch off night time mode and improve the app by 50% ? Conscientious dev team, added a star, one to go.
Still can’t see any map detail for half the globe. I know it’s night time there but I’m not looking through a telescope. 50% useful.

I know it's impossible to have Living Earth as a wallpaper like on macOS but how did any of you guys thought of making it as a widget is beyond me.

Amazing but Outdated

I have yet to find a more accurate or better looking weather app. However, I feel it’s badly in need of a watchOS app (even if just to have a Complication option) and / or widgets. The fact that, at the point of writing, the last update was 1 year ago is concerning.
Bring those in and it’s 5 stars all the way from my perspective.

Stopped working

I bought this app a good few years ago and it was great with all the features and was generally pretty accurate.
But in the last year it has been endless bugs and within the last 6 months it never loads the weather saying no forecast available, or doesn’t load my location.
Such a shame, as it used to be great but now it is literally useless!

Misinformation

Love it

Bought this app when it first came out and haven’t used another. Have spent hours scrolling around the world and seeing what’s going on. The clouds have made seahorses over the Maldives and foxes under Japan. Just look at the river Nile at night!!!
Best purchase for use of any app I own, like 9 years and counting!

Notification badge?

I have a red button or badge showing 5 notifications. I can neither find out what the notifications are for, as there seems to be no notifications option within the app, nor any way of clearing them. Additionally the ‘app support’ link in the App Store takes to to a page which is not phone friendly and doesn’t provide any contact link. Hence my comments in a review to draw your attention to the matter.

Bugs

Purchased the app a few months ago. It pretty good but reported bugs have gone un-acknowledged from the developer.
Looking at the last updates it would appear this app is no longer supported.
Graphical errors if the app is left to run for a few hours as an iPad screensaver.
Reply to the developer: Here we are MONTHS after I contacted you numerous times (still no reply) and the graphics of the app are still broken after it runs for a hour or so. Sort it out if you are still going to sell the app to others.
Even after the latest Feb 2021 update the graphical bugs still exist.

Over 9 years

Over 9 years on my iPhone and continue to be application what did not vanished from Apple shop and have sensible updates without any stupid adverts . Day by day weather forecast good enough, friendly interface. Thanks

Now shows erroneous weather for som locations

For the last year the weather for my hometown shows erroneously low temperatures. Typically low by 7 to 10 degrees Celsius.
As it has not been corrected I assume there is no monitoring by the developer of the correctness of the outpuT

Used to be great

Had this app for years and found it to be very accurate; however that changed in the last few months. It’s got extremely buggy and inaccurate. It’s told me the temperature is below 0°C when it’s actually plus 13. It even gets the day and time wrong, sometimes behind, sometimes ahead. Just now is 1315 but it’s giving forecasts for 1900. Previously on Tuesdays it’s shown the previous Saturday’s “forecast”. Other times it will just tell you no forecast available.
It’s been updated several times since these issues started but it’s still just as rubbish.
Really disappointing performance from what was once a brilliant app. Save your money unless/until they fix it.

Great to look at, no good for forecasts!

First off, I love this app. I love seeing the clouds over my country & the temps etc.
However, I cannot understand how the forecasts are worked out.
For example, the app will suggest that the chance of rain for the day is 60%, but when you look at the hourly forecast, the highest % is sometimes only 40%... I just don’t understand why the numbers differ so much.
Tonight, for example, it suggests 50% chance of rain. It’s 10pm and the only remaining hourly breakdown suggests 0% of rain... where on earth has 50% come from???
So, it’s great to look at, but useless for any kind of forecast.

Gone bad

Used to love this app but recently it’s gone Mad. It shows the current temperature as -11 when it’s plus 14. Even sent me a message to say temperature has gone below zero! It’s been like this for a few months now. I’ve been using it for years but now thinking of deleting.

Used to be good

Very inaccurate weather these days. Currently torrential rain where I am and it says light rain. Temperature is often quite a few degrees out compared to other apps/met office.

It shows red numbers on my home screen which shows the planet, however gives no info what the numbers relate too. So its a complete waste of both the developers and our the users time having it. And there is no how to section.

Family sharing no longer works. When my wife opens the app a box comes up saying she must now buy the app. We nothing have family sharing on and have been using the app for many years so what has happened?

The Weather Forecaster”s app

What a brilliant app this is! I am planning a trip around the world and I can pre set all the stops so I have the local weather and time at each place.
Also, the ability to check and track severe “named” storm fronts, all this at the touch of a button.

Gloater!

Please help me. I live in Javea/Xabia, Spain. I love this App and used to reach for it first thing in the morning to compare my conditions with those experienced by family and friends worldwide. They were always worse off. I admit schadenfreude is not my best trait but several weeks ago, despite there not being a cloud within a thousand miles, my location said ‘mostly cloudy’ and has remained that way regardless of the conditions outside my widow.
Someone please fix this stuck record so I can can go back to being intolerably gloaty again. I will then restore the missing star in the rating above.

Currently-167 degrees?!!!

We’ve had this app for quite some time now with no issues, however, over the last few months it has been displaying totally inaccurate temperatures! Today it says it is -122 degrees and feels like -167?!

We are lucky enough to be able to regularly stay at our extended family home in a very rural part of Southern France. The accuracy of the weather forecast for our tiny village is not only of interest throughout the year but allows for planning for various local activities during our stays. No other weather app offers us this detail for our relatively isolated area - in my view it is tremendously impressive.

Great and accurate app

I downloaded this app when we came on holiday to Mexico to keep an eye on any tropical storms as it was hurricane season. Used it to decide what days to do trips whilst there too. Great app and very informative

This is just a fab, worldwide information weather time app and its display puts into perspective, the world we live on.
Have been using it for a few years now and it has never let me down. I am not bombarded with adverts or requests to upgrade so well done to the app maker!!!

Good for weather but Alarm no longer works

Great for weather. However used to use for my morning alarm which is no longer possible as doesn’t use alarm tone or volume selected when setting and for some reason it now defaults to the first alarm tone on list at a really low volume?

Fun but could be more informative

The earth animation is great, but the app could certainly have more weather information, particularly as you seem to get your data from Wunderground. I’d love to see you adopt the animated windstream arrows from their now defunct Storm app. On a global scale this would give you an amazing view of current weather patterns. Your current wind layer is useless imo.

Wrong days showing, useless app

When checking the weather on a Monday the following day is shown as a Thursday then Friday and so on. I have emailed a description of this problem to the support email contact twice now and have not received any response nor has this problem been corrected. They obviously do not support their product. The weather day is inaccurate so do not waste your money on this app.

Fabulous app

One of the loveliest as well as useful apps available. My family work in different countries so this provides times, temperatures, weather and a beautiful view of our world and the weather systems affecting us all.

Location Services

On both my iPhone and iPad the drop down menu for my location simply no longer works so I have been unable to see weather for the remainder of the day. If I tap on my other cities the drop down menu works but that is of little use to me at my location. Apparently it is due to the location’s nearby weather station not transmitting data.

Gets better and better

Lots of good features and fine details. Easy to switch locations and see an overview of the immediate days. Like all weather apps, you need to check today’s forecast and not rely on longer range predictions

Simply Amazing

I’ve been using app for some years now and it’s my personal favourite weather app we have on the App Store. It’s really cool how we can watch the Earth rotate and the weather change close to real time. The graphics are also beautiful and the app is really easy to navigate and use. Personally, I highly recommend this and I’m super looking forward to future updates :)

Where are the clouds? They've disappeared....!!!

I've been using this app for years, and absolutely love it. I'm particularly smitten by its capability to show me the general weather conditions, and more importantly, cloud cover formations above any part of the globe within seconds of activating it. I delight in showing Luddites how far technology has taken us, to the point where we can stare at a pretty realistic and weather condition accurate image of our own planet, on an iPhone in our hands!
Let's be clear, this is a 5 STAR app.
However, I've accessed it today and the clouds are gone. All gone! I've waited patiently for about 30 minutes for them to appear....but no. The clouds are gone.
I'm sure it might be a glitch....but this app is useless to me without cloud cover, hence, 3 stars right now. Put the clouds back and it's 5 stars!!
Bring back the clouds please :-)
