Peekaboo Forest

My daughter loves the Peekaboo's & this is the latest we've downloaded. Simple but effective, a real help to us as it keeps her occupied. Been a fan since she was about 11 months, she's 16 months now. Keep them coming Peekaboo! Thanks.

Wonderful

My son is 17 months old and this is his favourite app so far. It really engages him. It's wonderful to have a toddler app with such beautiful drawings (Charley Harper's illustrations are always a pleasure to look at) and something adults and toddlers can appreciate together.

Great

I'm not too familiar with others in this series but me and my 2 year old daughter loved it the graphics are pretty and the only bad thing is how short it is. Would agree that it probably looks better on the iPad with the bigger screen.

For the iPad not iPhone

Ok as a toy but very different to the others in the series - arty and not as much fun. Some of the animals are very small indeed and don't show up well on an iPhone.

Too ambitious?

There are aspects of this app I really like - the changing seasons is a great idea, and unlike Peekaboo Wild the game gives more idea of the scale of animals and what they get up to in their forest habitat.
On the other hand this sometimes means animals are rendered very small and you need to be looking out for where they're concealed. And the graphics seem to have been created to please an illustration afficionado, not a toddler. I think they're gorgeous, my kids prefer the chunky primary colours of previous Peekaboo Apps.
Finally, the ending is very abrupt! None of the happy animals-together goodnight scenes which rounded previous apps off so well!
This is an ambitious attempt to bring a particular kind of pitcture book to the iPhone and it's a tweak or two away from being really good. But it's pitched a year or so older than the other two Peekaboo Apps so bear that in mind.

Waste of money

Bought it on the stength if Peekaboo Barn and Peekaboo Wild, nowhere near as good! Waste of money, 59p would've been more appropriate. The graphics are pretty dire and my two year old is bored of it after playing with it once

Not good

Not as good as peekaboo barn or wild. They worked so well cus they were simple. You need a big objects covering the animal it needs to be more obvious for a child to keep focus
