Maybe I’m being an idiot but I downloaded this to record tracks off my iTunes whilst rapping over them but this app doesn’t read m4p’s (iTunes files) so it is completely useless

Really good but new version wont let me email my recording
I love this app, but since the upgrade it wont let email my recording which is really annoying as I use the app to create music rounds for quizzes. This is how I send the music round to colleagues who are running the quiz. Now I cant.

iPhone version superb
Y’know, when we move from between our PC’s to our Laptops and iPad and iPhone, I think our stupid heads’ expect the same functionality, at the same speeds, and bug-free, we also lose sight of the amount of Apple iOS changes that occur, and the amount flack they receive for rendering our Apple products temporarily useless on occasion - and not just a few occasions either, and anyone who knows anything at all about coding knows that Apps like this are written for the product in its current state - most updates shouldn’t, bug that largely depends on what they do and the resources required to do it.
So, considering I’m writing this from the iPhone 5s I keep purely for throwing idea into GarageBand before I forget them - this App reminds me of Cool Edit 2 before Adobe bought the rights, renamed it and destroyed it.
Subscriptions are at stake when this App is down, so firstly I’m checking how recently Apple has updated the iOS, and is there a connection, but ultimately, WavePad is always up and running again extremely quickly - allowing for mandatory in-house release candidate alpha tests, the customer is the best way to identify hiccups, we can’t have it both ways - it’s either fast with potential bugs, or it’s a 3 month, 6 month wait thinking of every worst scenario - all I know is that this is the best App out there for this job - although the Help file is dated, and a bit more note resolution would be nice - or a text window for direct data entry on cursor position.
Even so, I can’t justify my gripes with it, it’s still a WIP.
Nice job, nicely done, I don’t give 5 stars though, to anyone, that suggests it’s as good as it can get, it’s at the top, the end of the road, nowhere left to go.

Quite good, but pls fix the 00:00 ! Bad reviews are dated.
Did a load of recordings with an ‘actor’ and so was disappointed to later see all these recordings said they were 46 bytes size ! And duration from 00:00 to... 00:00 ! But no the recordings were actually fine.
This of course is every audio person’s nightmare, that you do the work and it fails to record...except the app recorded fine, it’s just the readout that’s fubar. It’s a fault caused by an update in the last 2 years because older recordings don’t have this issue.
Some terrible recent reviews, it’s almost as if these are for a different product entirely? Does the fact my original app dates back a few years make it better somehow? I dunno, for me this is not bad at all i just upgraded to get the export filetype options to get stuff out to GB.
Lastly, i no longer expect apps to be free, except for trying-out.

Disappointing
Since changing the front end in this app I have had about 4 or 5 failed recordings.
I like the PC and Max version of WavePad but this app is not reliable enough for me now.

After a bit you have to pay
I loved it but then after a certain amount of time I had to pay for the one I was using. Terrible after a while, do not download this stupid app. It just wants you to get it then it makes you pay for everything, I’m warning you, it’s not free like it seems.

Completely broken on the iPad
Made the mistake of upgrading this recently now it does not play or record any more - completely useless don't touch it till fixed or rolled back to a working version. How it got through QA is beyond me. Sent devs a tech support request - no answer.

Lack of export options
I’m sure there used to be a way of saving your audio file to Dropbox but all you have is email and ftp. I’d like to be able to airdrop the file to my other hardware but it is a pain only being able to email or ftp.
This makes the app quite mediocre.

Not good
I just bought this and I already regret it. It only imports files from the music library and the app support is just a page of videos and FAQ links for the desktop version. There’s no way to contact the developer with specific questions. Why can’t I browse to other locations for importing? I bought it for the noise reduction tools so I could use it to clean up audio on videos then re-import it back into the videos.

Poor design and expensive
So, I'm an audio editor who uses a variety of audio programmes for podcast production. I was looking for something with editing capability and effects. This seemed to be interesting - but I tried the effects a few times fooling about and now it asks me to pay money. I hardly used it - I have no idea if this is adequate for my needs. So I'm not buying it. It's ugly and I've genuinely no idea what it's pro features at like because of a small minded approach. I don't care if you disable export capability - I just need to know your condenser is decent.

I spent £5 on getting the exporting bit and then I stopped using the app so I deleted it. Today I need to cut some music so I go into the app do what I need to do go to email it to my computer IT WANTS ME TO BUY IT AGAIN theres no restore option so really it's a waste of money and absolutely awful. I seriously think I need a refund like this is an actual scam

This could be good.......
You can import songs from your phones library BUT.....once edited you can not put the edited track back in your library with out plugging your phone into iTunes, so it defeats the object of the app as you might as well do it on your computer to start with.

Very disappointed
This app is extremely disappointing because the sound quality is poor and it is very glitchy. It is a shame that the app has such a great name yet the app itself isn't very good and I've seen much better sound recording apps that this one. I definitely would not recommend this for anyone doing podcasts and such.

Excellent so far...
Great that this app offers you to record in multiple formats and qualities.
However, the means of transferring files are limited to email, ftp or via iTunes.
It would be really handy if there were more options, i.e. upload to dropbox, iCloud, etc. Or for the files to be accessible in such a way as to make use of the Airdrop facility on later models of iPad.
Overall, great app, just needs more transfer options.

NOT WORKING anymore
Used to be great! Now:
1) Can't record beyond 1:50 mins (recording cuts)
2) Can't email (app freezes)
3) Can't delete (app freezes)
Oh, and when I tried reinstalling the app it's actually not working AT ALL anymore. Just freezes on opening. Class, well done!

The app was really good and I purchased the extras too but since getting my new phone and using the latest iOS, none of the effects seem to be working. Please fix and release and update soon!

Gone way downhill
When I first got this app about a year ago, I was really impressed with it it. However, the most recent upgrades have massively impacted its usability and reliability. Many of the functions, even the basic ones, just don't work anymore. For instance, when you edit one recording, it seems that it is impossible to then go on and edit another recording: The first recording is held in cache and is not flushed. Another example is the Reverb function: this hangs the entire app. These things really needs sorting out. In the meantime, I'm off to find an equivalent.

Use the free version on my iPad and can't save an edited file.Why is it called an editor if you can't open or save a file to edit it?
Mac version great,but this is a very bad advert for the windows and Mac version.

Can't use the sound for anything!
It's not easy to edit on it. But when you have finally created your masterpiece you can't save it to anything. Best you can do is email it as a wav file. You know, like in the 1980s?

Easy recording
I have found this app easy to use for recording my singing practice files.
However I was unable to upgrade to the full version on my IPad, on going to the website found that this is not possible to download to IOS.

Somehow, the best got better!
This has the best noise reduction I have used on any platform in 15 years and the update fixes some annoyances.
The noise reduction is now available on the iPhone, making it even more powerful.

Needs iPhone update?
This could be a really useful app for the iPhone but just freezes as soon as opened. I first tried iPad version on my iPad air and worked fine. But not on iPhone 4S. Big shame. Developers need to give it a tweek.

Didn't work for me
I'm a fan of the PC version but this app didn't allow me to export my recordings (the instructions made no sense), then rudely wiped them without any warning; hence the low rating.
