Description

eStorage allows you to catalog any items you want to: household items, tools, goods, documents, collections, etc. There’s no limit to how many item categories can be entered. Each new item can be given a name, description, value (useful for insurance), picture and quantity (set to 1 by default).
The bar code reader featured in the app enables you to easily add its ID to an item, and recover the information related to an item (Iphone 3GS/4/5 and new iPad).
The items can be associated with the categories you choose: clothes, computer hardware, files, tools, materials, etc. (you can of course create any category you need).
In order to easily keep track of lent or borrowed items, eStorage gives you the opportunity to register the information (person, date) related to such operations.
To help you easily retrieve your stored items, eStorage enables you to associate them with a storage location: geographic reference, room, piece of furniture, drawer, suitcase, etc.
Storage spaces can be organized into several hierarchical levels, like living room / closet / shelf / box, for example
eStorage comes with powerful search engines allowing you to instantly retrieve any item, information about it, its lent/borrowed status and storage space on the one hand, or all the items stored in one place or belonging to the same category on the other hand.
For users wishing to accurately monitor their item storage levels, eStorage also enables precise quantity management for each item, including the setting of storage shortage alerts to quickly spot items whose quantity is below the predetermined level.
eStorage allows you to export the data (items and storage locations) as a CSV file (which can be imported into most spreadsheet programs) or as PDF files, sent by e-mail. This allows you to view and manipulate the data on your computer.

An excellent app
Keeping track of items and their location can be done on paper, by spreadsheet or by using a database application but all have their drawbacks and can be tedious to set up. This brilliant app allows easy and flexible recording of any item and its location. I use it for my boat. It saves money as I don’t buy things I already have but have forgotten. It prevents waste as I can record expiry dates. It improves safety as I can immediately locate a crucial but rarely used item immediately. It fills a very important niche and I recommend it without any caveats!

Storage & Inventory
I've had this great app for a number of years.
And only just began using it as I've got so much item which I want to keep track of and to know where! I have stored them.
It's a worthy app to download.

Excellent App
Have tried numerous apps to help me manage and locate my building tools and consumables. This app foes the job very intuitively and just works. For a one-off £4 this is excellent. Thank you.

Been in use now for over a year, worth taking time to catalogue everything correctly.
I have more than a thousand items in my workshop time saved in searching for that item I know I have but hardly ever use is easily more than a hundred times the cost of the app

Great app but,
It has great potential but too expensive for what it is!
Transfer data from lite version to full version is poor. It is quite simple to make a app so you just upgrade, and don't have to struggle with csv files. The instructions are a poor and supports solution was to tell me I had not followed the instructions. (Yes I kind of worked that one out)
Sharing across devises is confusing? You need to upload from one device, then upload from another?
For the price you have to pay it should be in the cloud accessible from any devise.
It would be great if short stock could be uploaded to a shopping list,
But it works and perhaps amongst the better apps for storage.
And you can upload several storage points, i.e. Boat, garage, caravan, etc. If they brought up to today's date accessible across devises it would get 5 stars

Extremely Useful App
It's not the prettiest app I have ever seen but it is incredibly useful (if you're into cataloguing your stuff) and it works brilliantly.
All the features most people would want and very well designed so that it is powerful yet easy to get to grips with.
I have not encountered many apps of this type and so I have no real idea how this compares but it has made me want to start recording all my possessions.

eStorage app is excellent
Most of my belongings are boxed up and this app has finally given me a sense of order and control. It is very easy to use. I chose to use all the options and am not disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic
I love this. You can work out how much an item costs for how long it's lasted. You can move items from one location to another. It's brilliant. I like how you can set up different databases to separate consumables from property, for example, or catalogue hobbies - scalextric cars, rocks, coins etc.
The guys that wrote this are genius!
There are a few bits & pieces that could improve it, but it's still the best you can buy IMHO. PS - update - nice improvements - I like how I can jump databases quicker.
PPS - still using it and wouldn't want to be without it

Absolutely brilliant always forgetting where I had put stock of RC parts I know have a data base that not only tells me where it is but all relevant information I need to re stock if only I had found earlier. A must for anyone who has a lot of widgets to keep track off Brilliant. Just be carefull how much you put on have now run into problem with it slow to load and run. But excellent in all other respects

Can't import from lite to paid
Quite featured. Maybe a bit complex for sorting out home stuff. Killer for me was I filled the trial version to 15 items but the paid version only seems able to import the default database from iCloud. So I'll have to re-enter my items maybe into a different simpler app.

Keeps switching on my camera
It's a good app but for some reason it keeps switching to camera or barcode reader. This has only happened since a few months ago. Probably due to an upgrade.
Would be great if you could fix it.

Fantastic App
I have been looking for an app like this for a while. This does the job beautifully.
I need an app to make a record of all the items that I have to store away in the Loft of our house. The ability to photo the item and categorise it quickly is invaluable.
I also needed a way of doing a costed inventory of household items for insurance purposes. You can generate a PDF catalogue with photos quickly and value it all.

Excellent, does everything I need it to. Perfect for keeping track of all my stuff. Downloaded this after using another app, when I found that I couldn't move items from one box to another, I found that I had to delete an item and the re-add it. With this application moving stuff around is simple. Only slight downside is that it's not totally intuative, by which I mean, it took a little bit of working out, but once I had sussed it, I was very happy.

I still think this app is excellent and updates quite often , I can't find any faults with this app an is worth every penny , I just wish there was a pc,laptop software I could buy to put it on my laptop and use it on there :D but very happy overall (y)

Nice app
I'm a painter and decorator with 2 van, a work garage and a garage at home. This app helps me keep up to date with where my vans are, how much paint I have remain in the store etc. easy to use and works great..... However, I do wish it was better at syncing between the iPhone and iPad. It can be done now but it's a bit of a pain.

I spent ages looking for an iPhone app that would allow me to use an iPhone for stocktaking. I wasted a lot of time on other apps - I wish I'd found this first, it's brilliant!

iStorage Review
Superb app and perfect for a disorganised person like me with a huge accumulation of tools and various leisure equipment items liberally stashed around my house and garage. My only wish would be for some kind of sychronisation capability with other devices such as iPad and iPod Touch as it would be handy to formulate and maintain the inventory on the iPad but also utilise the convenience of having the info on the more pocket friendly Touch - I am not sure if this is a viable option for the future but it is one I would most certainly be willing to pay an additional fee for as the benefits are huge! I have passed info regarding this app on to several (equally disorganised) friends and they are equally as happy with it!
