Description

Has potential
This has the potential to be a really good game but like everybody else is saying- the plant bucks are ridiculous. You would have to spend quite a bit to complete the game fully. I understand money has to be made somewhere but I’m pretty sure I paid 0.99 for the ‘full’ game already (don’t quote me). I think if you used the plant bucks for speeded growth and other non-essential but useful items, it would be better. Even if you were able to earn a very small amount of plant bucks by having an option to watch an ad if you choose. You will still have impatient people who will buy your bucks and those who overspend their coins and need to buy treatments. Most people simply can’t afford the amount of money being asked for and lose interest once they realise they can’t complete the game without. I feel like you’re actually doing yourself out of money here. If I had to spend on bucks just once I’d have probably bought them but it’s too much to keep buying in order to complete the game, so I haven’t at all. Such a shame because it’s fun and has potential. Please fix this. It might even do you a favour and earn you MORE money.

Great game, but....
I love this game and I used to play the PC version a lot.
I just really wish they would change the whole plant bucks thing. There is no way to advance in the game without spending a lot of real life money. And you can only ever get some of the rare plants by buying rare seeds ( which cost plant bucks). At the very least there should be an option to earn plant bucks, by viewing ads for example. Or offer a paid version of the game.
As it is it’s just a waste of time.

I used to play this game on the computer and it was fab, now like the others you have to spend money to progress which you never had to do, so it has left me disappointment as I was so looking forward to progressing on in the game.......also it would be good to see how many plants you had managed to find like the bug collection, very disappointed this time round

Plant bucks
When I was little, I used to love this game but my computer broke and I couldn't find the game. After years I found it in the App Store so I downloaded it and played it however later I realized that you need plant bucks (which cost) to finish the game and to buy special seeds so I deleted it. I guess i will never play it until they update it and get rid of the plant bucks.

I loved this game on the pc. Was delighted to find it for the iPhone. But like the other reviewers say, you DO get to a certain point, then to progress you absolutely have to buy plant bucks. My plants keep dying before they are mature. To solve this I would need the golden soil, which is plant bucks. I'll never be able to complete this since I refuse to pay real money just to get anywhere, and paying real money is literally the only option to get plant bucks.
Like everyone else I would much rather have paid a flat sum for the game in its entirety, rather than be forced to pay for something that doesn't even last if and when you start over. Deleting from my phone now since I have hit the pay wall. Real shame guys. You should really read these reviews and listen to what your customers want, then you might actually make some money.

Sell your kidneys for plant bucks!
Great concept, poor execution. Yet another free game that secretly wants hundreds of pounds from you. Plus the graphics/game play is pretty rudimentary. I just like plants. They are my friends. They talk to me.
I would have liked to carry on playing this game but you can't continue to play without paying, and quite frankly my organs aren't worth that much since I could legally drink. Plus I'm using them right now.
So yea, I removed the game and kept my organs.

Where Did my Seeds Go?
Left this game playing overnight, came back the next day and all the seeds I had in storage disappeared. I loved this game on my PC, but this iPad version doesn't seem very good. I want my money back.

Not pleased with game now
I used to love this game then I decided to put it onto iPad it did not take long to delete it, you can't finish the game unless you buy plant bucks, why oh why not charge for the game and let us enjoy the game as it used to be, will not play it again until I can play without having to spend a fortune on bucks

Very disappointed
I really enjoyed this game when I first began, and eventually invested in enough bucks to fully upgrade my selling area. Spent about a fifth of my bucks before taking a break from the game. I have just returned to find all my bucks gone and all progress lost
There seems to be no way of retrieving my bucks, I wont be investing any more time or money in this game :(

Good at the start
At first I thought it was very interesting but you need the bucks to have rarer plants. I find it good until my plants start to lose their health when they are still growing. If you have the money to buy the bucks then this game would be great for you but if not then be prepared for your rarer species to die. This game would be much better if you didn't need the bucks as much.

Do not get!
I was not happy about bucks when I first downloaded the game however I did not reach the point that many others speak about where you must pay to continue before deleting.
I was unable to figure out how to prune and when I did manage to make a cut I cut the plant at the root thus ruining the plant. The instructions were useless and clearly designed for the computer version. I was unable to put soil in only certain pots and although this is trivial I like having empty pots.
Basically it's rubbish, do not get this app!

Plant bucks...the con
This game is free to install and initially seems great, but then you realise the plant bucks nightmare. It is impossible to play fully unless you spend a ridiculous amount of real money. As many people state, remove them and this would be 5star, or allow a way to convert coins/ bug collections into bucks.
I'd love to play more, but as this complaint has been raised for a long time, I may as well not bother.

Free or Fixed Price.
I loved the game at first. Then I realised I would not be able to complete it without buying the expensive 'bucks'.
I knew there would be a catch to this game being 'free' but, like many others expect a free game to be free from start to finish, not free until you really enjoy it then the company attempting to coax us into spending cash. Nice try though.
I would rather pay a fixed price for the entire game, with no bucks just the cash you make from selling plants, or have it completely free and have a shorter, easier version.
Game deleted. Very disappointed.

Could of been a great game
This could of been a great game, but it is yet another game that makes your buy money in the game to progress... This is like theme park, i refuse to buy the super tickets and more money... 3 months in and I'm still no where in the game. Happy to pay for a good game when downloading the app for the good games! Wish developers would start listen to people's frustration on this.

I loved this game on the pc it kept me entertained for hours! I was thrilled when I spotted it last night on the app store and couldn't wait to play. However how disappointed was I when I realised this was another game where you can't progress without spending money on books. Beware
What is a good game has being ruined by the developers freemium model. You can only play so far before you need to spend money. If you need to start another game, you will need to repurchase everything again. This will work out very expensive. Apple really needs to make developers state approximate costs of playing these freemium games upfront. If the developers offer a full paid version this would be a 5 star review.

Time waster unless you want to pay more
It appears impossible to progress in the game without purchasing more bucks. Unlike other games where paying for upgrades just means you can speed up your progress in this one you simply can't get passed a certain point without doing so. It's a shame really. Disappointing. I would have preferred to pay a small amount for the full game instead of being forced to pay once you've started playing. This does have the potential to be a really addictive game though.

I would love to play this game - but to do so I would need to pay out a lot of money for "in app purchase" bucks that you cannot play without.If you do buy the expensive "in apps" you can only play the game once - because if you try to play it again you have to pay good money out again -this makes it unplayable.I prefer to pay for a game -then i can play it on both of my devices and as many times as I like.Please make a paid version of this game,Please.

Poorly optimized trash
A godawful port attempting to cash in on the microtransaction trend by adding a second currency. Badly copy-pasted instructions, awkward controls and the aforementioned second currency stir together in the melting pot of terrible. Save your time and sanity, don't download.

Don't buy this.. It's a con!
I wish I had read the other reviews around the plant bucks! The concept is cute, but as someone else wrote, there is no way of progressing to the interesting stuff without buying 'plant bucks'. I had wrongly assumed a thousand coins that you get in game would be worth 'a buck', but 'no', it doesn't matter how many coins you get, you won't be able to get the interesting stuff without paying more money. Definitely a diversion from their earlier games, e.g. Fish tycoon, so that they can make more money.

Really like this as it's a bit different. Very virtual families though, I like the collecting part of their games. Shame in this game you are encouraged to spend real money on extras though...

Just one thing.
There's two types of money. You use "coins" to buy a few things, but you need to use "plant bucks" to buy anything that makes the game actually interesting. You have to pay for "plant bucks" but you can earn "coins" in game. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Stop trying to rob us. Can't even play the game unless you're willing to buy "plant bucks". DON'T BUY!! Wasted people.

It is good but its not as good as the computer because it has that special money on the ipod which it dosent have on the coputer version. I will rate it 5 star if the makers get rid of that money and replace it with the ordenary money like on the computer
