That's right the monkeys are back and this time there is a whole new army of bloons to burst. Featuring a whole host of new tower and enemy types, Bloons® TD 4 is the long awaited sequel to Bloons® TD iPhone.
This time the monkeys are serious and are ready to take down the enemy from the land, air and sea. Utilising a new ranking system you can build up your experience and gain access to even more powerful towers and upgrades. The core game itself is great. The problem is that the game isn't for phones above iPhone 4. If you play it on anything with a bigger screen then it just leave big black bars either side and doesn't fill the screen. Secondly in this PAID game there are micro-transactions. I find it dreadful that when you've paid for a game they ask for more money. But overall the core game is good

This is a fun game until you get to the higher rounds, especially on Apocalypse mode, and the game just completely freezes up and the frame rate is around 1 frame every 2-3 seconds. This really needs to be fixed, it's the only thing wrong with this game. Other than that its good

Loved this game on the PC and I was delighted to see that there was an app for my iPhone 5! However, for £1.99, you MUST update it so that it fills the iPhone 5 screen!! This NEEDS to be done! Then I will give 5 stars... The game also crashes sometimes but this is not a massive issue as you can resume where you left off when you re-open the app...
I know TD5 is out but PLEASE UPDATE THIS FOR THE IPHONE 5 SCREEN!!! We have paid £1.99 for this!!

Wat the frak people are giving one star cause it lags its not the apps fault it's the iPod it can process it quick enough after about 100 it will jitter as thousands of balloons are trying to move on your screen at once and also the game is amazing a real challenge and a good strategy game

Well worth the money! Will keep you occupied for days and so bloody addictive! Have completed all tracks on hard! A tip for anyone completing those pesky challenges make sure you start playing the teack levels on hard straight away! Once you complete a track you get gold medal once you get 15 gold medals you unlock all upgrades! Then the fin begins :£

Excellent time killer, plenty of content and extra free content added occasionally. New challenge in last update with the lazy monkeys doesn't function properly though, I start with 5 but they immediately become basic dart super monkeys once placed. Only flaw in an otherwise brilliant app.

After playing this game for an hour or so, I realised how fun and addictive it is. Because the game has a lot in it and a lot of depth to it, it takes some time to get used to or to fully understand what you are doing, but once you get to grips with that, it's one the best tower defence games on the market! Also the MOABS and BFBs just pop and you get no money from them and they don't spawn any other bloons, this is also very annoying as it means it is harder for me to unlock all my towers again. I Am a keen iPhone gamer and I think balloons is the best game that I have played on the iPhone. Totally addictive, totally frustrating, totally engrossing. Never crashes, and you can get all the in game upgrades by getting enough golden kiwis which mean you don't need to pay an extra penny to complete the entire set of mazes.

I have probably spent more hours in this game than any other. It's massively challenging but satisfying when you do each level on hard. I have the extreme pack but I don't use the tower add-on pack as it feels like cheating. The challenges are great and help you learn what the towers can do. I would definitely recommend this game...it take s time to master but is worth it!

I got stuck there for quite a while on one of them. Can't wait for the new updates. Keep them coming.

My bloons lite didn't work on ios5.0.1 - then an update fixed it, hooray - except that it lost all memory of previous use and I had to start unlocking stuff all over again. THEN - another update - and it doesn't work AGAIN!... so I have bought the full game. Guess what - doesn't work, straight back to home screen. Am running ios5.0.1 on ipod touch. Looking for fix asap please - or refund !!! Great game when it works, so 3 stars as a compromise in hope of a fix.

This is certainly and by far my favourite App around, the new maps that come out and season packs are great and keep it interesting. However since the update yesterday my game refuses to open. As soon as the screen goes black once i tap the icon it just goes straight back to my home screen. I dont know it its just my iphone (3gs) or the update itself but either way i hope this gets sorted!

BloonsTD is an incredibly addictive tower defence game. It has brilliant updated content and cool little towers you can place around the several map that are given to you. This game in my opinion is definatley worth paying for and keeps me addicted for hours and hours on end especially with it ranking system which gives you a purpose for destroying the endless hordes of bloons. Great game, worth the money :)

It a really good app for when your on the move, with constant updates and a bigger variety of towers. I would like to see some more boats and planes on bloons (I would like a AC-130 gunship) which I think would make the game more interesting and maby some military boats. As of 2.5, all Extreme maps produce a White screen, then a full crash upon startup. Despite this, I feel compelled to say that this really is an excellent game, probably the best TD in the App Store (when it works!). Later freeplay rounds would benefit from higher densities of MOABs and BFBs, just because by r100, repeatedly shooting down BFBs every three seconds is hardly difficult. For once in a TD game, though, prices actually work: nothing unbalances the game due to the water-only placement and high prices of certain items. Worth the money easily.

To whom it may concern,
I truly love this game and have spent hours and hours on it. Just finished all the all the maps on hard, as well as all the challenges, so purchased the extreme pack to keep me entertained while my broken leg is mending.
Then joy! A new tower! And a great one! Spent a while playing some of the tracks using only the tack tower until it got too laggy...
Then time to crack on with the newly puchased extreme maps... but no! What's this? A blank screen? Complete white out? Well restarting the app fixed it when my balloons and towers went invisible so I trust it will fix this too...switch it off and on again and all that... Sadly, to no avail.
I entrust these words of woe to you, gentle app-maker, in the hopes of a speedy fix. At your earliest convenience, of course.

This game is great and can't wait for td5 or maybe td4 will just be constantly updated.
I also have an idea for the gameplay. I think there should be a big boss every 30 or 40 rounds to keep the challenge building because I think it gets a bit boring after round 80 and I don't need to buy anything because it just gets. Very laggy especially with the double speed on. One last thing, I think there should be a triple speed or faster way to progress through the high rounds that take ages.

This game is just the best. Every time I play it I never become bored and when a level beats me it just gives me the desire to play again and again. I am surprised it isn't in the top 25 paid apps then again sleep talk recorder is and I think that is a pointless and stupid app. The only thing stopping people from buying this game is probably the price but this app contains so many levels and a continuos release of updates just adds to the fun. A few changes I would recommend is having a full upgrade option on a tower to upgrade to the top tower instantly, and also maybe somehow release a multiplayer option; I don't know how it would work but I assume they could think of something. Other than that this app is the best

Me and my brother used to play this around our Grandma & Grandad's for hours on end. But when we found out that we could get it on our iPods, we bought it as soon as we could. Brilliant game, definitely recommendable, and 5 stars all round. Thank you Digital Goldfish & and Ninja Kiwi for such a great game. : )

One of the best games I have! Lots of tower choices and modes:) Really worth the price. Buy it now. Only problems are, having multiple dartling guns (have to target them all in same place). Also I would suggest using iPod version for iPad version as you save £2.99 and quality is not compromised much.

This app cought me flabbergasted... It reminds me of rubber dingy rapids (dont worry if you havnt seen 4 lions) << sick film... Anyways back to the review.
The new update with challenges is good and exciting. I love this App because it is different and colorful. The towers are sick because they eat mangy Dahl and rice. Also the layout is sexy because the movement of pages makes the rocks crumble< just like the expression like how the cookie crumbles

Very cool little game worth the money nice graphics smooth animation. All in all nice little package. But the updates are a little far apart and with not much in them more upgrades would be nice ad some very unique map types would be nice and I do meen very different. But nice app keep up the updates.
P.s and for the love of god make an option were the next round will start automatically. Look at the game "the creeps!" that has a good pause/auto next round feature

This is far and away the best tower defence game on the AppStore: It's regularly updated, with both easy and challenging levels for noobs and experts alike, and the amount of content and the amount of time I've spent on it is unmatched by any other app. You can spend hours at a time on it, or just pick it up and play for five minutes whilst waiting for the bus, and the artstyle looks gorgeous on any screen. I have never experienced a single crash or lag, and I've had it since it first came on the AppStore. All in all it's a must buy for any tower defence enthusiast, especially at the cheap price of £1.79. If you still aren't sure, try the online version on your pc (it's still the full version and completely free), and I guarantee you'll love it to bits.

This is a great game and an easy way to kill time. The only draw back with the new update is the gattling tower, I find that I'm constantly changing the direction of fire accidentally, maybe if the you had to select the tower first you wouldn't keep changing the direction accidentally. Can get a little frustrating at time.

It's fixed! Well, fixed enough. I get some glitchy text over each level icon and sometimes it will freeze or crash but I'm just happy I can play it. I find it crashes when I move the battling gun, which is accidental a lot of the time, this can get a bit annoying but oh well....

This game is brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone. A note to the creators a cool addition would be little monkeys that patrol the roads and can be upgraded to have different weapons. This would be a cool addition to what is already a brilliant game!

5 Stars!!!.... This game is addictive, fun, brilliant, great, fantastic, amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing, fantastique, génial, pheonomenal, overall great!
Bloons TD4 is really good. It never gets boring as there are lots of levels containing lots of fun and brilliance.
The upgrades of the towers are cool especially Super Monkey as you can upgrade it to Sun God which sounds and is ponage.
It also gets you thinking, money wise, whether you should save up for a big upgrade like Sun God, or save up for billions of planes.
I would recommend this game to anyone, and I will continue to play it and most of all enjoy it. I intend to not delete it, especially as it is £1.79!!!

I remember the days when I used to play this at school with all my friends, the computers would barely be able to run the game when you got to the higher levels but it runs perfectly on an ipod Touch, the graphics are nice and clean as well but most of all, it has got to be one of the most addictiing games I own!

Great game to kill time and balloons. I love this game but I'd like to be able to play for the next medal, instead of gaining a silver medal then having the option to freeplay quit or retry I'd like to be able to click play for gold instead of having to go back to the main menu just to go back to level I was just on.

Great, addictive game which I keep returning to.
Yes it lags when you get past level 100, but that's on freeplay section and you've already acquired your "medal". Still a great game, which both my 11 son and I both play.
Looking for more maps ... any chance of upgrades?

GET IT!!! The only thing i find annoying is it gets really slow at round 100 (really slow on hard mode round 100) otherwise its really worth the price i've had it for 1 day and i've played on it for like 6 hours!!! and in the next update can you be able to go up a rank while the bloons are coming through because i should be like rank 50 now and im 25, and if you go on pause while in it at the start of the round it says 0 more bloons to go up a rank. PLEASE put move up a rank while bloons coming through in the next update!

I've played the online flash version to death. In a way this is better because it has all the premium content which you have to pay for online included in the £1.80 price which makes it very worth it. Sure it lags at later levels but so does the online version its something that can't be helped, but does it ruin the game? No. Not by any means.
Couldn't recommend this more to any tower defense fan.

This game may seem quite pricey but it is great fun. There are plently of different levels and difficulty settings, plus a huge amount of different interesting items to unlock. Its not the sort of game that you can finish in 10 minutes, it is a long lasting challenge.
Better than the online version!!!

Its a great game if u like the online version, so try it online before u buy this. Also just 1 very small problem, could you please move the pause and play buttons on the first map as they get in the way for me as i wud like to put a tower there.
