Slow initial start up

Love the simplified version for mobile. Has just the right amount of features.
However, I can’t love this app because the initial load (assuming it’s not open in the background) is so, so painfully slow.
iPhone 7 and iPad Pro 10.5”.

A useful app for getting material to/from PC/iPhone/iPad but there should be the ability to transfer photos from OneNote to the iOS camera roll. Sure you can copy a photo to the clipboard, import it into another app, then transfer the photo from the app to camera roll. This is just so clumsy, come on Microsoft fix this glaring omission and make ‘save to camera roll’ a one click operation.

Half the time I try and use this it’s totally unresponsive.
May be iOS 11 related (I’m on 11.0.2) but avoid until MS fix this. It’s broken.
Nags for rating, logs me out for no reason.

Great app for note taking and compatible with my Apple Pencil, however would be greatly improved if handwriting recognition was added - in some screens it shows my handwriting as actual text (e.g. immersive reader), so the functionalities in there, but there’s no way to actually convert or save my writing as text. Please add this feature!
Also the app glitches sometimes when dragging.

The app does not sync seamlessly across phone, laptop and tab. There is always a lag . I would rate dropbox as a benchmark for best syncing across.

Brilliant app for keeping all my lecture notes together and synced across all my devices.
Only thing I think can be improved is adding support for connecting Bluetooth styluses e.g. Bamboo Sketch, since palm rejection is slightly crap without it.
Please add the ruler feature which is available on Windows!

I’ve been having problems synchronising across devices for more than a month now. This is very frustrating and rendering OneNote close to useless as I can no longer keep a unified Notebook (which I use to manage tasks and projects). Microsoft have been aware of the problem for a while but still haven’t nailed it. When will it be fixed?

Most of it is nice and useful however it is not obvious where to change the languge proof reading bit coz it always corrects mine to spanish when i type in english. Also it would be perfect to add a protracter and ruler since many people do school work on ipad or technology devices

I'm not sure why but I can't use this app, it downloads fine and opens but when I try to create a new book it won't let me click the create button and because I can't create a book I can't do anything else.

Hey Can I just say that this is the worst app in history I am really really really furious! I showed this to my great-uncle’s cat and he agreed that it is extremely unacceptable.Half the time it doesn’t work saying it’s “read only” like that is the biggest lie I have ever heard. As you can tell this app made me have my hair in a tie so I just wanted to say to the creator of OneNote are you happy that you have caused me and many others to have heart failure gosh such a disappointment !

Sync eventually fails

Love the app- the ability to organise and lay out notes in just the way I want is excellent.
However eventually it stopped syncing and continually demanded I sign in- which didn’t help.
Microsoft’s help says, back in 2016 and 2017, that they are aware of the issue and working on it and suggests that you delete all credentials (in the iOS settings app) and sign-in again.
Usually, if I can sign-in at all, this works for a couple of days until the sync issue returns.
I am now planning to move back into an app that isn’t as well integrated into the Office world, but at least syncs properly.

Useful for college notes or meeting notes. Using the Apple Pencil could be improved slightly. Sometimes there’s a slight glitch where it will draw a straight line to the point of initial contact after moving the page with finger. Other than that very good.

But recently I’ve been having a major problem with the fact that OneNote is putting lots of coloured bars down the side of my notes. This looks ugly and I can’t find a way to remove them!

I use OneNote every day and really love it. I love that you can take notes with the Apple Pencil and set different page backgrounds. Some things that might be improved are:
1. The page background doesn’t align with text.
2. You can’t set a default page background
3. You can lasso select part of a drawing but cannot copy it
4. Ink to shape is unreliable. E.g. sometimes it sees that you are drawing a straight line only when you put an arrow head on but even this doesn’t work reliably.

I have been using GoodNotes as a note taking app but after playing around with OneNote I’ve seen some advantages over GoodNotes.
One thing that does bother me however, and means I’m still currently using GooNotes as my main note taking app, is the weird occasional flashing of my handwritten text. As my notes are mainly handwritten, this ruins the experience and, as I can’t see a reason for it to be happen (or be a feature?), I urge the devs to fix this! Thank you.

Using on IPad Pro 11 with pencil. Since latest update I have an intermittent issue where if I start writing a straight line appears. This continues for about three attempts to start writing and then things are ok again. Ink to shape is off.
