Stop pushing videos
Pinterest is the only social media I have and the reason that is is because it’s full of inspo and intent. I enjoyed looking at pics and not having short form content pushed onto me wherever I turned. Now, when I search, videos are pushed to the top and there’s no option to view “images only”. It’s a shame Pinterest can’t stay in its lane and know what people use it for - there are other apps with their purposes, so remember yours as a digital inspo board…people don’t pin videos irl

I used to love Pinterest and use it all the time but its become actually unusable from how many ads there are. Good but not Great
Edit:
After a couple of recent updates; the app seems to be very fickle at the moment with email links going to nul domain message. This happened before with another update fixing it. I’ll try download it again but updates that cause issues are the opposite of improvements, since downloading it’s pretty much the same it seems to break very easily and images previously save on boards aren’t loading. Coming in and out the app seems to crash it it’s a mess! I like Pinterest, and have been an off an on user for a while. I’ve recently got back into using it, after a while of it just sitting there. I like how I can get new recommendations from pins I’ve saved; also editable if you don’t want to see certain types of post you can amend it not to recommend this product or item or whatever the thing is.
There are a couple of issues though. First: coming in and out of the app, for any length of time, causes the feed to change, even if background app refresh is off. It can be especially annoying when you see a post you like but it disappears before your eyes never to be seen again. Second: when in a post, especially one when there’s scrolling; it’s very sensitive to finger presses and will open up links, left right and centre; with the nearest breath or touch.

TOO MANY ADS RUINING THE ONE GOOD APP LEFT
I have had Pinterest for years. It’s always been the most safest fun app to browse for hours with no issues. But now I go to use Pinterest, whenever I search for anything the first 10 posts are ads with only 2 genuine pins!! (Just tested as I’m writing this review)
Sometimes I will be scrolling and accidentally click it and it takes me to a site I have no interest in. Other times I go to save a “pin” to a folder only to realise it was a ad. Overall whatever I’m searching for becomes lost in the sea of them. More often than not, the ads are expensive companies too! It’s genuinely becoming an app I find less and less inclined to use which is hard when I’ve loved it for so many years. I feel I can’t search much of anything anymore because the bombardment of ads. I’m surprised this isnt flagged more in the reviews. Please do not ruin this app any further. You’re going to lose all of your user base over this longstanding issue. Scrap the ads, the AI and the violation issues.

Stuck with the same few posts on the home page which are just repeated several times as you scroll down but in a different order. Far too many adverts now as well. Misleading ads ruin the experience
The adverts in this app are incredibly frustrating. They are mixed in with the normal pins so closely that you constantly end up accidentally clicking on them while scrolling. It feels deliberate. I just want to browse images and ideas, not be tricked into opening adverts every few seconds.

Ads are too much, you load the app and first 15+ are mostly ads. I get they are part of life and the app, but recently the ad quality a) not relevant to what I view/interests, b) too many and clumped together (used to be better spaced with real pins) and c) are incredibly tacky looking, not even nice ads or brands, more Temu looking ads. Where’s the aesthetic gone? Pinterest by its definition is a giant moose board app and these ads are not a good look. I’d pay for a completely ad free version at this point.

I love Pinterest, there is is one big issue
I have used Pinterest for probably the last five years of my life and I love it so much. It makes me more creative and inspires me to try new and different ideas, concepts and things. However, the app is practically unusable at this point; I never find what I search because all that appears is irrelevant adverts trying to get me to but from Amazon and Shein which, from my perspective, goes against the whole purpose and ethics of the app. Please come up with a solution or you are likely to lose many avid users

obscene number of ads which are strategically placed to not look like ads in order to farm accidental clicks, some of which are disgusting, quite frankly disturbing and borderline illegal. had to stop saving pins a long time ago because when they're seemingly randomly removed by the app's AI moderation, a warn is placed on my account threatening deletion. to top it all off, there's absolutely no way to contact a real person for support, especially not without surrendering all of your personal information first. this app has served me well over the years but as of now i've uninstalled it and deleted my account. extremely disappointed, beyond disgusted and everyone i know will be hearing about it

I basically saw my friend on this thing called Shuff where you have to use Pinterest to make like these wallpaper things and so I tried to do it but it wasn’t working so I went on Pinterest. I tried to login from there to see if it works but then they’re saying oh my account has been suspended due to some stuff which is kind of stupid because I’ve never used Pinterest a day in my life and now this is why I don’t like Pinterest for this cause it’s just detecting or doing something to my account when I haven’t use Pinterest a day in my life and now I rate this whole one star in fact zero stars I bet Pinterest will see this and I want them to because I’m actually angry at this. i absolutely love love love pinterest so much. it’s my favourite app and use it every day. i have got so much amazing inspo from there for different stuff. i literally don’t know what id do without it tbh😂.
but i’m so sad that i’ve come across an issue. i wanted to post a video that i had made of multiple different photos (not of me) and i used my own sound (so i got music that i had loaded myself and did not take from anyone’s video at all) then i soon as i posted it, in my inbox there was a message from pinterest saying “there is no sound on your video because it may contain an audio from someone else. we’ve sent an email for more information” uhh what?? they removed the sound from my video and the video was still on there just without sound. as i said i did not take the audio from any other video i downloaded the audio. btw i made it on capcut!! i did not take any sound off pinterest. so i reposted it again to see if pinterest just made a mistake but no the same has happened and im disappointed that i can’t post any video with music in the background without a message coming up.
also another thing please turn off the notification when it says “someone commented on a pin you saved” i really NEED to know. please send notifications when someone has commented on my pin or replied to me on a comment more!!
i recommend pinterest soooo muchhhh. but just bare in mind that problem might happen. but ofc i still love pinterest and it’s still my fave app. don’t let this tiny problem put you off the whole app but it’s just something to bare in mind if you want to post your own videos 🤍

My Pinterest review
I serious I love using Pinterest but i believe Pinterest should bring back the Watch tab because it made discovering video content simple inspiring and genuinely useful in a way that felt different from other platforms. Having a dedicated place to scroll through Idea Pins tutorials DIYs recipes and creative tips helped users find ideas without needing to search and without the pressure or chaos of other short video apps and it gave video creators a clear space to showcase thoughtful high quality content that fits Pinterest’s core purpose of planning saving and creating. While I understand it may not have competed directly with TikTok or Reels that is exactly why it worked. It was calmer more intentional and idea focused and instead of removing it entirely bringing it back with improvements like categories better discovery tools or fewer ads would strengthen Pinterest’s identity and give users a feature many of us genuinely miss and would actively use again.

‘Update’?
Pinterest used to be fine and I had no problems with it but somehow now when I use it, I try to download a post with slides, I can’t. When I press on it, it’d only give me one of the slides and doesn’t let me scroll the slides. It’s very problematic and frustrating especially if I’m trying to save matching profile pictures, I have to find the other part when the other part is right in front of my face.
Not only that the search image changed as well, making it way harder for me to search for a similar image or so, the part where you can cut which part of the post you want to search isn’t even possible to do anymore, so what even is the point of having the search tool if you can’t even let people chose what to search and what to not search from a post.
It’s so frustrating to the part I come on here to see if I didn’t update it or anything and welp, me leaving a review says it all. I updated all of the app and I can do nothing about all of this. I don’t even usually leave reviews, this just shows how irritating this is, especially when I always go to Pinterest for anything. If this is happening to everyone and it’s the ‘better’ update, Pinterest, people will not be happy with it.

Ads, AI and that “lingo”!
I’ve put 3 stars because I actually use Pinterest daily but my honest thought is only 1 star. I was scrolling the other day and stopped on a pin and noticed that out of the 5 images on screen 4 of them were ads! I often use Pinterest to look for art from other artists for my own inspiration but almost everything I see is AI generated. And what the heck is that lingo on the updates page?! “This is so you-coded” (it wasn’t) “You’d vibe with this” (I liked maybe two ideas out of the 20 on the page) “You’re giving curator vibes” (I’m what?) and this morning I got a notification that “this inspo is tea!” (No, what’s in my cup is tea.) No wonder Pinterest is going downhill, there’s a bunch of time travelling teens from Y2K wearing snapbacks backwards and loads of bling passing a doobie round the office. And please just let me click on a board! If I want “more ideas” that’s what the home page is for. The boards are where I go for MY ideas NOT YOURS!

AI is ruining it
I used to love Pinterest so much but I noticed recently that images created with AI are completely ruining the experience for me. If I’m using it for inspiration for interior design, I am flooded with fake images of inexistent spaces. It’s discouraging. I can’t use as a reference, a place that doesn’t exist or something thats not doable. And it also forces me to scan the images to discern if they are AI or not even if it’s just because of a simple preference that I DONT WANT ANY AI GENERATED IMAGES IN MY MOODBOARD. It’s just an impossible task. When I’m searching for cool restaurants in a part of the world I’ll visit, I get images of places that literally don’t exist. So Pinterest is no longer a good idea for travel planning which used to be my go to. When it comes to fashion, the same issue. Images of clothes that don’t exist, fake brands, Pinterest for shopping also unreliable. It’s gonna start happening with everything. People who used it for wedding inspiration will go somewhere else because it’s just useless to have ai generated images of what you could do on your wedding. It creates unrealistic expectations so some sensitive people want to avoid this and would love to only have real images as references for future work, or inspiration for something we want to create in real life. Honestly it’s so annoying. The internet is being ruined, filled with irrelevant imaginary content. It would be great if Pinterest could filter this, otherwise it’ll end up being a spam cemetery like my old Facebook profile.

great app, but updates lately have ruined it a little bit
I love Pinterest, it’s my favourite social media app, but lately it’s becoming less and less fun. It used to be about saving pins and creating cute boards, but now there are so many ads, and their latest update (where instead of viewing the boards as you curated them, you just see more ideas) is really not fun. If I wanted to see more ideas for my boards, I’d use one of two of the ways that Pinterest already provided for that purpose - either on the homepage where you can click on different boards along the top and see more ideas, or on the boards themselves where you can click a button under board tools to see more ideas. When I click on a board, I want to see it as I made it, with the cute header image, and all my pins underneath, not just more ideas (which i already had access to before the update). Pinterest needs to please fix this (and the excessive ads) and then the app would be perfect!

Getting worse by the day
I love pinterest, its one of my most used apps, but over the years the ads on Pinterest have gotten crazy, where most of my feed is ads or sponsored posts. Now I could somewhat deal womith that, but lately theres been a huge surge in my pins (not ones i created just ones i saved) being constantly deactivated or deleted. I cant even see which pins are taken down, it just says adult content (which is insane and i only assume it must be fashion inspo pins) or copyright infringement (why am i getting a warning for posts i didnt create). Or what I find very annoying id loads of the pins ive created are marked as AI modified, even though they are literally photos straight from my camera roll. I know many others are having similar issues, with peoples accounts randomly being deactivated and feeds being full of ads. I assume these issues are stemming from corporate greed and using AI to run their platform. Its made the app so annoying to use, and as a 17 year old its been my go to app for everything since I was 8. Disappointed

Dear Pinterest. Long time user here. I’ve always loved Pinterest for the inspiration it brings. But that inspiration is draining away due to the sheer amount of ads on the platform. When I click on an image, I’d like to see more like it, not links to products (surely the “shop this look” action was for this purpose?). On the main pages, there are 6 ads for every 4 pins. I understand that money comes from advertising however something has gone seriously wrong along the way. Also, there should be an option to turn off specific ads permanently, I keep getting bombarded with maternity wear ads as I occasionally pin something child related. I am suffering from secondary infertility and these ads are like a dagger in my heart, and blocking them just seems to mute them for a month. Please, think how to serve your users, and not just of the bottom line. Best wishes, and hopes for a better future x

Ruined
Pinterest has been my favourite app since it came out but it just keeps getting more and more frustrating. Tonight I realised I couldn’t swipe right or left between pins and had to search to see if it was just my phone glitching, but if this is an updated feature it makes absolutely no sense and makes me not want to use the app. And that’s not to mention the amount of ads and now you can’t see the person whose pin it is. I also miss the ‘popular’ feed from way back because sometimes I don’t just want a regurgitation of the pins I already have and I just want to see what’s going on with everyone else and maybe see something new. And lastly, I always thought this was a me problem but maybe not now, I hate that when I’ve been swiping through some pins and then press to go back to the feed, it’s stuck where I first clicked into a pin and started swiping when it used to keep up with where I was at. I really hope some things go back to the way they were because I really love Pinterest and I don’t want to stop using it.

Issues over the last few months making it difficult to use.
I used to love Pinterest, I have used it for many years and found it very useful and easy to use but it is now difficult to use. I have checked online and it is not me doing things incorrectly or my devices that are faulty or not up to date as I have checked all my devices and from my research other people are experiencing exactly the same issues.
Firstly, when I try to pin I only get a small selection of my boards to choose from. If the board I want to pin it to isn’t displayed I have to pin it to the first one and then visit Pinterest and transfer it ti the correct board. Very time consuming and unnecessary.
Secondly, and this is making Pinterest almost unusable, many of my pins now have no link making it impossible to revisit the site where I got the pin from. “ Copy link” does not work, when I copy it into my browser it just links back to Pinterest. Also, I am noticing an increasing number of pins on my home feed that have no links. When I click on them it’s just the picture of the pin and no way to follow or save. This proves that there is something wrong. What’s the point of sending me pins that may be of interest to me when there is no link to the sites? This NEVER used to happen.
Please can you look at fixing these issues. Thank you.

Really upset
I love this app it’s just I’m REALLY upset about some things . I worked very hard on a collage and I am VERY disappointed that the Pinterest DELETED it. I was putting the last thing I needed and boom my whole app closes and when I go on I’m very dissatisfied to find that my collage was not there . My phone did not turn of , die or turn off but the app itself just closed and like I said I am very very very unhappy about this . Worst part is I was using that as a form of abstract art and thought it looked so good that I was going to use it as my Home Screen .if there is ANY way I could get that collage back please someone help. I was almost in tears because of how long it took me . My second thing is about how FAKE almost all the pictures of holiday places and restaurants etc I know it is mainly the company’s fault that they are falsely advertising but it’s really frustrating to find something that is accurate to its description and pictures\videos.

Issues i have conquerd and why i like/dislike (mainly dislike) it!
Hello, i am writing this because i knwo lots of people like this app, but personally i don’t think it’s the number 1 best app to find things on. First of all, I can’t even sign in because it keeps saying the same thing. People like it, but to be honest, i hate it. If i knew what it was like on there it would be different, but i don’t. Please can you make fixes and glitches go. As a kind person and a young girl who likes art, i don’t recommend this app at all. If you ever get it, be ware of the things you might have to conqure during your time signing in onto pinterest. My best friend said it was good but i don’t know if it’s just me but i can’t sign in and that really annoys me. I rate this app a 2 star (that is just my opinion). Some people agree with me and that’s up to them but personally i think you should! If you don’t, that’s fine but i would really appreciate it if you tried it out and see if it does the same thing for you. It’s really outraged me to see this happen to me. If it doesn’t to you, consider you self lucky. I hope you read this and think to yourself what have I done, i need to make everyone happy. I know this is a lot but i would like it (doesn’t mean you have to) but please could you like this and reply to me if you have the same issue!

Brilliant app for ideas but there are minor problems
Pinterest is a fantastic app for discovering ideas and inspiration, with a sleek interface and endless creative possibilities. However, lately, I’ve been running into a frustrating issue where the content in my feed doesn’t match what I’ve saved or interacted with. Even after I specifically choose pins based on my interests, the recommendations seem off, showing posts that are irrelevant or unrelated. It’s disappointing when the app’s algorithm doesn’t quite reflect my preferences. While Pinterest is still a valuable tool for curating ideas, this inconsistency can be annoying and takes away from the overall experience. Despite these issues, I still find Pinterest useful and hope they’ll refine the recommendations to better align with user choices in future updates

New Update Terrible
The latest update has *ruined* the user experience. A menu bar at the top shortening the screen space, and an incredibly irritating second pop-up menu banner which slides onto the screen at the bottom any time you take you finger off the screen for more than a second. Together this greatly reduces the screen space for photos — the actual POINT of Pinterest. And the constant menu movement is horribly irritating. (Plus, have you gotten rid of the shortcut to tap the top to zip up to the beginning? That only seems to work now on the main feed…) Please *please* put these things back the way they were before!! At least have the new menu banners as something you can toggle (hidden/visible) to have options rather than them being forced on you, and/or have a menu icon to click for when you actually WANT to see the options available.
Plus, there is no point giving a link and asking for feedback on updates when it takes you to a highly complex help centre which doesn’t have any clear pathway for straightforwardly giving feedback 😒

I love this app and I am very disappointed
I have been using Pinterest since the beginning of time and I love everything about it, I add at least 100 pins to each of my boards every day! However, I have noticed a growing epidemic of AI art and products infiltrating Pinterest and I am extremely worried about the implications of this. Pinterest is supposed to be a hub of creatives showcasing their extensive skills and sharing their handmade art together, and allowing AI to take over this website is harming this ideology, as well as the artists that Pinterest relies on to stay relevant. For an app focused on creativity, Pinterest does not seem to value its artists- though they are the backbone of this website- and frequently allow uncredited, copied and AI art onto the site. Yes, I may be biased because I am completely against the use of AI, but I strongly believe that Pinterest is the last place that AI should be. If you have any respect for the artistic integrity that is the foundation of your site, you would at least make it harder for artificial intelligence to infiltrate your website, or add some regulations so artists could be protected. Not every site needs to showcase some sort of AI, just because it is trending, and quite frankly if the amount of AI continues to increase I will be forced to, with a heavy heart, stop using this app. As an artist and a human being, I am begging you to cease the use of AI generated artwork and products on your website.

A good app but they make odd choices.
I’ve been using this app for over four years now, and I genuinely love it. It’s a great way to pass the time, and I’m not afraid to admit it has become a part of daily routine, however in the past year it’s changed rapidly which is causing a lot of odd things to happen. If you scroll through r/pinterest on Reddit, you'll notice that recent updates have been getting increasingly strange. People are receiving violations for pins they've saved to their boards, even though they didn't create the pins themselves, they just liked and saved them. The frustrating part is that many of these pins flagged for “violating community guidelines” don't seem to break any rules. For example, I once got a violation notice for saving a pin with a recipe to make cookie dough in a mug.
Another problem I personally have been facing is that I can no longer see specific peoples profiles. I have been following my partner for nearly a year now and he’s been following me but all of a sudden, since the last update, I can no longer view his profile, I contacted support but even they were stumped but I’m still waiting on a further response, so not much can be said about it at present.

Love the app, censorship is weird
I’ve been using Pinterest for years and I love it, and I’m always going to love it. I love how easy it is to save things and make new boards and organise existing boards and make new sections, everything is very user friendly.
However very recently a lot of my pins (ones I have saved, not ones I have made) have been getting reported and their distribution has been limited (no longer appearing on the front page and under some searches) or they’ve ended up getting removed. What worries me about this is I might have a pin with someone just holding a gay flag or a screenshot of some people on tumblr discussing what it is like to be queer, and these pins get flagged for ‘hateful activities’ and removed from the home page. I also have pinned screenshots of PG rated cartoons flagged for ‘graphic violence’.
Idk if they’re doing this with an ai thats just overzealous, but the result is a site-wide censorship on LGBTQ+ visibility and discussion which is immensely messed up. Some of the feminist pins I’ve saved have also been limited which is also worrying. I really hope this gets fixed but if it doesn’t I will likely look at alternative sites.

Update idea / feedback
Pinterest has to be one of my all time favourite apps ever to go on, listening to music while making boards and just scrolling enjoying the pretty pictures has to be one of my favourite things to do, like a hobby you really like doing.
I think one of the best updates Pinterest could ever do is if you could put sections in a section on the boards. I’ll explain so you can maybe understand more if you don’t, basically imagine you are just making a board on Pinterest and you have it dedicated to something that you like and all the sections are different. Like you make a board dedicated to yourself say and you name it like “me core” or something like that and all you sections are like “people” and “lookalikes” but what ruins it would be you can’t put a section in the section naming said people and lookalikes. This would be a look easier for people to use and I would be very pleased if you took this idea into consideration. Thank you.

AI content and ads.
Pinterest used to be a brilliant resource for artists to share their work as inspiration for others. It was perfect for finding unique and human made reference images from photographers of all kinds who willingly shared their work too. I used to love, LOVE, just scrolling through the app because it was so easy to find so much beauty that had been shared by creative people. That’s what I used the app for, for years. It is a wasteland now. There are still so many artists that share on Pinterest of course, but whatever kind of useless algorithm they use has allowed the REAL HUMAN MADE ART to be completely overshadowed by AI generated rubbish. Often times, I’ll find something I think looks good but a closer look shows it is fake ai generated mess. I hate it. I do not open Pinterest to weed through all the ai image waste, I open it to see human art. Pinterest needs to do something about this, change the algorithm or ban/ severely limit the use of ai, fast. It is destroying itself.
The ads too, I understand Pinterest needs to make money at the end of the day, but the amount of ads are ridiculous. It is greedy and insulting to have almost as many ads forced in my face as there are regular posts. I do not use the app to look at ads and I’m sick of it. They are everywhere. With the way Pinterest is, I genuinely think they would have a good shot at going for a !donation! based system with ads sprinkled in to earn money. People pay for what they like but they would need to sort out the app first. The quality of Pinterest now is genuinely just pitiful and downright embarrassing for them considering the quality a few years ago. It’s so obvious that the people that made the decisions that have led to how it is today are just money hungry and don’t take user experience into consideration.

Amazing! Please read
LETS START FROM THE VERY BEGINNING FROM WHEN I FIRST GOT PINTEREST. So when I first downloaded Pinterest there was loads of different options of things to look at from plants - to food - to crocheting - to fitness and even hacks for games. There longer I’ve had Pinterest the more it’s changed my options around to things I’ve clicked on and searched which is great! But which is even better, it adds new things here and there which can help me spark my interest in different things and new hobbies. Now, every time I need inspiration, help with something, or try to find something to do when I’m bored.. I go onto Pinterest and start searching and it never fails me! The only thing I’m disappointed about is that they got rid of photo comments, this is when you can send a photo (maybe of something you’ve finished on a video or attempted something) in the comments to let everyone know what it can end up looking like which really helped me but now you can’t do that. You can also message your friends which is great! And I love making boards of a collection of things in a group so that if I want to come back to a post that someone has made then I can go back to look at that board. For example: I love crocheting so I have a board called “𝒸𝓇ℴ𝒸𝒽ℯ𝓉𝒾𝓃ℊ！🧶” and it’s just FILLED with loads of plushies I can come back to and make with crochet. And you don’t just make 1, you can make LOADS of boards. Overall I LOVE Pinterest and definitely recommend it!!! This review maybe different to other people but this is just my opinion and what I think is accurate! Hope this rewiew helps!!❤️❤️

i love pinterest but i have some suggestions
i would like to start off by saying i have never written a review before but i think pinterest deserves one!! it is one of my absolute favourite apps ever because you can save pins (images/videos/ideas) to a board or another pin and if you search or save something pinterest registers it and makes sure that your feed comes up with more pins like that - suggests more things you may like thatare simillar. you can also create your own pins for others to save which is great however i have not done so yet. it is a brilliant app for ANYTHING. for example, writing a book and need ideas? go to pinterest. need ideas for your hair/makeup? pinterest. fav celeb? find pics and vids on pinterest. outfit ideas? pinterest. need drawing ideas? PINTEREST!! and so on, i could honestly go on forever.
however i do have some things that would make pinterest EVEN better, such as, if when you save a pin and it asks which board you'd like to pin it to that you can pin boards to the top. also if you could just save lots of different images from your board or feed at the same time instead of having to spend loads of time screenshoting and cropping every single pin because this has taken up many many hours of my life. another thing is, i have an ipad that you can use split screen, so you can have two apps open at once however pinterest isnt compatible with lots of the other apps, so i cannot open pinterest with certain apps like procreate, which is very annoying because i like to get my ideas of what to draw and inspiration off pinterest but i cant have pinterest and procreate open at the same time. also, on my iphone, when i go on the feed on pinterest it comes up with lots of different boards you have and you can click on the top bit to get suggestions to do with that specific board (sorry if that doesnt make sense) but unfortunately it doesnt cme up with all your boards, which i think it should. aswell, on my ipad it doesnt come up AT ALL which is very very annoying because i love that feature.

Good app.
I really like this app. It’s quite easy to use really! Just sign up with google, apple, or just email; your in! All of your info is safe and you can start scrolling. There is also an introduction so that your feed is full of things you’ll actually see/watch/do/like!
An actual review will have a few complaints though. I was scrolling right, and then the screen turned black. I was really confused because this app is something I use all the time since I don’t have TikTok or Instagram. (I’m on mobile) I had to refresh the app and it was brand new? I’m really confused and the thing is that it happens regularly! It happens every time I use the app in fact!
Next complaint. (This has only happened twice) I opened the app right, and then I saw my feed, it turned black again. So because it happened regularly I just refreshed my page. But to my surprise I had been logged out! I was so scared that I could be hacked or even worse! But I logged in perfectly??
I must say, this app is splendid but there are loads of bugs and glitches in the app. Thanks for reading!

Bad bugs
I love Pinterest, since Instagram has begun focussing on their short form video content i’ve seen myself move to Pinterest for classic photo content. However, never have I used such an established application in the world of social media have so many bugs. Unfortunately these bugs often make me close the app and not open it again for a few days, these bugs are so frustrating. Besides some obvious UX issues that make ease of use difficult and annoying, deleting a pin from one of your boards is one of the hardest things to do without encountering a bug, almost every time without fail, attempting to delete a pin results in the app seizing to respond and requiring a restart. Another common bug is on the front page, it’s a similar issue to deleting a pin. Scrolling works just fine but interacting with the posts such as clicking on them is undoable. This really is a shame as the concept of Pinterest is great and I really enjoy using it. Hope to see some fixes soon.

Love it but new update absolute worst.
Pinterest is an amazing app i’ve been using it for awhile now i create boards and such. Its so so creative but the new update is a no. Apparently people under 16 their account is private, you cant even message anyone, no one can follow you or view your board or profile. It’s so ridiculous mostly everyone can be independent by the age of 13 i’d understand the privacy of under 13 but whoa you have to be 16 now. This update shouldnt have existed at all i cant create or message boards with my friends now one of my friend had to create a new account because of this maybe me too. At first i thought this was a glitch maybe it will be fixed but now its meant to stay like this? All my followers disappeared I worked so hard for that! Im sure most people are disappointed about this I honestly think of deactivating this app instead now your update is making me hate this app you know? Pinterest was only fun because i can hangout with other people. I am currently 15 years old I have to wait a year to publish my account no way im waiting that long this may not be a big deal for you but for me it is and maybe for others. I hope you fix this which you probably wont. This update is utterly ridiculous.

Used to be so good but now...💀
Let me preface this by saying if you want an app to just organise some pictures or make vision boards, this is the app for you. But, if you want an app where you can actually interact w others and comment on peoples post and be able to just interact with other people peacefully without a billion ridiculous privacy settings blocking you from that, like me, dont. Pinterest keeps updating the most stupid and irrelevant things that are just handicapping us instead of helping, for example, no account over the age of 18 can see an account under the age of 18 now???? what the hell was that update for???? im a very active user on Pinterest so the fact I cant even send a picture or follow my friend or access my following anymore because my friend might've put their account at 18+ is so frustrating. And I want to make a new account and put it at 18+ just because of how much i've struggled with this useless update but i've done too much on this one that I cant. Its so annoying, when I comment a question or something on some persons post I cant even see who replies with the answer cause their account 'iS oVeR EiGhTeEn YeArS oLd'. Like this is social media??? Why cant I comment on someones post just because my account is set at 15 years old and theirs is set at 18. Pinterest your app used to be SO good before all these stupid privacy settings ruined the entire experience. Accept that sometimes maybe a 14 year old is gonna comment on a post that was made by a 19 year old or something, and get rid all these idiotic updates.

Over all great app
First of all, Pinterest is an amazing app. Similar to other social and influencer’s apps like TikTok, Instagram and many more but different. I love how you can view things for sale on the app, but there is a slight problem. For instance, if you live in Japan and are viewing clothes that a company is selling in America, below the picture it would say “$13” or something close to that. But if you click to visit the company’s website it would now be in Yen. It isn’t really a problem but if you could, please fix it. I also enjoy that you can personalise watch you want to view on Pinterest. For example, there is different choices of what you would like to see on your For you page when you first sign up. You also add your age (which is on private) so you can view the appropriate posts. I recommend Pinterest for someone who enjoys socialising with people and sharing videos and photos. Though i am still figuring out how to post a clip, it's quite fun seeing what people think about your life, by wether they like, comment or follow. Pinterest is also good for introverts who might enjoy cute cats, skin care routines or many other things. I hope you enjoy Pinterest as much as i do!

Get rid of the new aromatic private account update please
I’m 15 and my account was fine but recently I was trying to share my profile to my friend and she wasn’t able to find it even when I sent her a direct link. I then discovered it was because my age is set to the real one and it automatically hides me from EVERYONE. I can’t even see my own followers! Please get rid of the automatic private account for under 18s and please lower it to 13 or something as I know I am responsible and Pinterest has no dangers. I can’t even collab anymore either. I had to make a new account where I set my age as older just so we could collab but I have so many nice Pinterest boards on my main account and I can’t even find them to save the same things CAUSE I CAN’T GO ON MY PROFILE FROM OTHER ACCOUNTS. Please take off this stupid setting as it’s a pain to everyone including some of my other friends who have it set to their real age. I speak for everyone when I ask to change the age for automatic privacy. What danger is there even for a 15 year old on Pinterest to have a public platform? Other social media apps which are actually more dangerous like TikTok and twitter allow public account for ages since 13 and I think Pinterest should do the same. What danger is there on Pinterest in someone seeing my account? Especially since it’s just my close friends? Please either lower the age for automatic private accounts or just take it off. I genuinely cannot stress enough for Pinterest to take off this update.

I can’t message anymore, Help?
I love Pinterest and I have used it for years with no problems, but about a month ago I updated the app and suddenly things are going wrong. First of all, it always says that I have lots of notifications but I click on the tab and there is nothing. It’s not like people just don’t interact (explaining the lack of notifications) because I comment on lots of posts, and I always used to get quite a lot of notifications about likes or replies, so it’s really strange that I haven’t had any in the last month. But the most important issue is that I can’t message anyone. Not only have all my past messages disappeared, the whole messages tab is completely gone. At first I thought this was a privacy thing but I looked through all the settings and I couldn’t fix it. My friend told me that they tried to send me something but they couldn’t send anything to me, meanwhile when I try and send pins, there isn’t even an option to send them within Pinterest. I’ve updated the app at least three times, hoping it would be fixed, but nothing has changed. I would appreciate it if this could be sorted as I mainly use the app to send pins to my friends and I can’t do that anymore

ITS AMAZING BUT!
I love Pinterest so so much! you can find so many things you like/enjoy what to watch, you can make businesses, DM/make new friends and talk about what you enjoy! ^^ but three problems! now I don’t know if this is just because my quality is bad but when I post a video like the first 20 seconds of it its so blurry! is that just my problem or pinterest!? and another! The DM bit is not working, even if you have permission to dm this person is says to fail conversation, and its not just me. its many others! three, if I get a notification from pinterest and I check it out it comes up with nothing like I never got a message which is very annoying as since it could be like a question etc. so can you please fix this I would really appreciate it! ^^ thank you so much! SUCH A LIFESAVING APP!
Okay so Pinterest is one of the apps i go on most of the time and it’s such a useful app, If your looking for something e.g: aesthetic room decor on Google you won’t find the exact same results as you would find on Pinterest. You can communicate to people and have many options if you don’t want to continue the conversation with them! If your debating on whether you should get Pinterest or not, you 100% should. You can post funny, cute, sad, relatable pictures or videos onto the app and get payed by the app itself. If your a small content or business creator, I recommend trying Pinterest. The app itself gives of this type of amazing, calming vibe & the community is just GREAT. The people are really respectful and honest. If you are underage I think it’s good that they put a warning for deleting accounts underage as content on here may be inappropriate!

I love Pinterest so much! It helps me look at bedroom inspiration as I would like to redecorate my bedroom. There are quite a few useful ‘hair style ideas’ ‘how to make ____’ idea pins that I always click on to get my interest. Creating boards is brilliant because I can save my ideas and actually get to doing them. I one day looked at a ‘Messy bun tutorial’ idea pin and I use that hairstyle every day. Pinterest is the only app that is like fun and productive at the same time. Recommend it for people who want to learn. One thing I do have to say is about photo comments, I know you removed them probably because of inappropriate behaviour and public guidelines, but I really liked it, especially on photo editing hacks people can’t show the results of that in the comments. Overall, I love Pinterest so much but please consider putting photo comments back on. Tysm 🤍

Why did y’all get rid of photo comments?
I actually love this app. I use it for so many different things, like a sense of community, memes, tumblr posts, and also inspiration for various mediums of creativity. I just drew a photo posted of someone and, when I went to post the picture of my drawing I realised that the photo option was gone. I went to google this, as I figured it was a little bug that could be fixed by a quick workaround but no, pinterest has just taken away this feature. I kinda thought the point of this app was for inspiration, as so much of the app is diys, recipes and crafts. one of its best features was posting pictures of people’s takes on these ideas and pictures, and, to be frank, I’m quite annoyed that its gone. im sort of reconsidering having this app at all, even though I have an average of like 8 hours or something ridiculous on pinterest a week, as I will find it difficult to use without the option of sharing my try- this could be a dealbreaker and I would love for it to come back. I also havent seen it explained *why* it was taken away? like what is the actual reason? im genuinely interested. thank you for reading.

Was 5 star until…
I love this app so much! There’s so much to look at and explore without getting involved in any accidents, toxicity or drama thats common in other social media platforms. The community is so diverse, people are just nice to each other and reading comments is just a blast!
But that’s where a problem for me lies now, because for some reason there are no more comments that are accompanied with pictures anymore. I don’t know if its just me but there’s been a surprisingly less amount of comments with with that picture feature and I see some people complaining about it in random pins. For me, comments and commenting on pins I liked, really elevated my enjoyment on the app and now I feel like a part of that has been taken away now without that feature.
Please add it back! Pinterest will never be the same without it!

I love Pinterest 🤗! I started using it when my friend would always send me funny videos and cute animal videos, but I wouldn’t be able to watch them, so I decided to get it and make an account. I didn’t know what to do at first and I asked my friend lots of questions but soon- I got it (remember this was on my IPad). After a few weeks, I downloaded it on my phone 📱, but it wouldn’t work. It would stay on the loading screen, no matter how many times I reset my phone, deleted then reinstalled.. it wouldn’t work.
I think this is probably just my Wifi as it does work on different internet connections, but this has really frustrated me in the past. I’m sure it is just my wifi, so please don’t reconsider getting this app because I have been glued to this before for hours!
This is a great app! 😊 Save yourself the thought 💭!!!

A must have app
Pinterest is a really good app and I throughly enjoy, and still haven’t come across any major bugs which I am delighted about. I love the idea and creativity of it and have just discovered that you can comment on things which made me laugh since it took me months to figure out. It is incredible although I thought it was stereotyping a lot at first. When you first download Pinterest, you get a thing like “say what you like so we can show you something you will like etc.” For “girls” or shows room decor, anime, baking and so forth And for “boys” it was sports, games and, again, I think you get the idea. Apart from the random pointless gendering towards the start of my path throughout this app (it might be changed now, I don’t know), I have throughly enjoyed my experience and think it is an amazing app. A solid four stars, keep up the good work and enjoy your day!

Noisy Ads!
UPDATE - why do you continue to update with more annoying things. It’s like you saw my review below and thought ‘let’s annoy her more’. Now it’s noisy video ads. I’m scrolling through and suddenly there is this blast of just NOISE from a pointless ad!!! Why?????
My friend and I used to joke (with a huge element of truth), that Pinterest was our salvation...our meditation room. When we were stressed, or needed to unwind, we'd go to Pinterest. I've given up lots of my favourite relaxation channels lately; magazines, TV, radio, Facebook....all for the same reason....TOO MANY ADS!!!! I am SO fed up with ads...I can't stand their overuse and I've made it my mission to not purchase things that over advertise. So I am livid now with the amount of ads on Pinterest now. It used to be the odd one or two, but I am now finding roughly every 6th image is an ad. I am constantly selecting the 'I just don't like ads' option, but this seems to prompt more. I really hate this and Pinterest is no longer a pleasure. If there is an option to pay to get rid of them, please let me know...I will consider paying so I can enjoy the service again. But please....enough!!!! You really do cheapen yourself by resorting to the amount of ads you show!

Pinterest is honestly a great app and I love using it because I’m able to find out ideas of things I want to do and really I just get to see the outside world and so much more and I love using Pinterest because I am able to pay in a lot of things and it also makes me remember things that I need to remember but recently Pinterest has been glitching in a way where I can’t open the app anymore and on my phone it’s coming up as null. I had the app deleted because I was losing storage but this morning I open my phone and Pinterest was there and it didn’t have the Pinterest logo but it had like this white and black logo and I’m not able to press on it so I tried to delete it and come back to the App Store to re-download it but it said open and it said that it was already downloaded so I switched off my phone several times and switched it back on but it’s still sad that it was there. I really need the app right now because I’m going to a party and I need to make up look and Pinterest is normally what I rely on but I currently can’t use Pinterest because it’s coming up as none of my settings it says that it’s there and so does the App Store but my phone isn’t showing it and I can’t press on it every single time I press on it it comes up as a back blank screen and it goes straight back to my homepage on my phone and I just don’t know what to do right now so yeah, if anybody else is having these problems with Pinterest please tell me but I am just really hoping that the app developers will be able to tell me what’s the problem or if it’s just my phone

This is the best app ever and you can search for ideas and crafts and such cute dogs 😛 🐶I personally use this every and instead of using google for ideas Pinterest has a wide and wonderful selection of what people have posted for example Easter is coming up and I wanted to make a card and used Pinterest I am so surprised that it hasn’t ended because it’s amazing and I use so much!!!!!!!!!! You can find so many ideas and it picks up what you have been looking at and gives you a wide selection selection on what you’ve been looking at it adapts to what you like seeing. Want to make ads, run a business well Pinterest has that, manage a business account or just casual browsing on there post photos or videos ALLL OF WHAT I SAID WITH THE BUSINESS AND STUFF IS ALL FOR FREE NO PAY I love IT SOOOOOOO MUCH I really love my whole family uses it and when you sign in all you have to have to sign in is have a google account

A few problems?
I haven’t been on Pinterest in a while, but I can say that I very much enjoy the photos and ideas it recommends. As anyone would, I do feel a bit creeped out at how quickly it changes my ‘preferences’ just because I used it for work or saved an image I would otherwise ignore.
But here’s the problem: It is really, really time consuming to save each pin to a certain board. I’ve tried playing around with it a bit, but every time I tap on the ‘save’ logo I see a pop up telling me it has been saved to quick saves. There is actually another square on that that says change, but if I try tapping it it just saves it to quick saves again a few times and then alerts me there has been an error. Does anyone know what is going on? A part of an update?
Even though this is happening (and I don’t know if anyone else has this problem) I would still recommend this app to everyone, no matter your interests! I’m all for the motivational quotes, and the artwork I see is truly stunning! Also, who doesn’t enjoy some dead memes? Way easier to navigate than the site, honestly.

Great app just some minor problems
I love Pinterest it’s actually one of my favourite apps so many good ideas and it personalises the content to your previous searches and previous things you have saved. I have found lots of good ideas on this app and it is actually really helpful, however there are a couple of minor problems.
Such as the fact that Pinterest disabled my account when I had done absolutely nothing wrong and said I had gone against their spam policies when I wasn’t even on the app very long. But, they sent me and email which explained why they had disabled it but as I had done nothing wrong there was a link that you could explain why you believe they were wrong and they reviewed my account again within 12 hours, this time is probably different for other people but I just thought it was quite a good time for that. They then sent another email saying that they agreed that they wrongly disabled it and they reactivated my account. I think the only improvement that they could make is making sure they double check accounts before they disable them. But overall it’s a very good app and is really enjoyable.

Sorry for short un-detailed review!
So, I haven’t had Pinterest for long. For the amount of time I’ve used it, which is around 6 months at least, I have had no problems whatsoever and the app has been running smoothly and been easy to use,,, until today. Unfortunately I’m having a large problem to where I cannot even open the app without it crashing me out instantly. I don’t know if this has just been me but I have downloaded the app on two devices and it has worked on neither. They are not connected.
So far that is the only complaint I have as I enjoy using this app and again, have had no other issues with it, but I may have more in the future.
I apologise for how un-detailed this may be, but as if writing this I am extremely drowsy and again, have no other issues. Sorry if whoever is unable to fix this issue, it may just be my devices but I have no idea, but thank you for reading anyways. I’m also sorry for any mistakes in this writing.

I love you but not the latest user-interface
Pinterest has been my favourite app for years! I use it for recipes, photography, planning events, you name it! However, I found the latest design (for the app) unpleasant to my eyes. Not to be rude or egocentric. I just really love you guys and wanted to leave an honest review from a regular user and you never know if other people feel the same way. The rounded containers and the black edges catch my eye’s attention and gives me a sense of disorganisation. You know when you have a notebook and a pen in a table and the pen is not aligned with the notebook? Is that sort of feeling. It doesn’t necessarily means it is disorganised but it is the sense that it gives temporarily. I’ll continue using you regardless, and I do recommend you to my friends and family if they are looking for inspiration, recipes or other because I know they won’t regret it! Hope you take this review well.

It’s really good but it is way too slow.
I have used this app for like 3 years now and I don’t use it. I used to love this app like a year ago but now I just don’t like it as much. It just takes ages to load anything and I have a really good internet speed so it is definitely Pinterest. It has changed so much now. I think that Instagram is way easier and I can also do a lot more on there than Pinterest. I will probably delete my account due to how slow it is and how much I have not used it in the last year. You might as well get an Instagram account and make it private because you can actually follow people such as Ariana grandé and Billie eilish. Also pretty much everybody has Instagram. I just think that Pinterest is really outdated and not so popular due to not many known users on there. I also hate how you have to keep blocking ppl that you don’t want to follow u. Can’t you just decide for urself and make ur account private or public. GET WITH THE TIMES PINTEREST!?
I kinda hate Pinterest now so.

What’s up with the ads?! Please go back to how it was
I love Pinterest, hours could easily go by without realising as I browsed the app, finding useful tips and beautiful pictures. It’s always been a fantastic and resourceful tool as is. When you first removed the ‘like’ button, it was a bit frustrating as it was useful but I soon got used to its absence. Then you said you will be getting rid of the explore page which is again frustrating because sometimes when you don’t know what to browse, you can select from the available categories and get inspired. But now worst of all, there are a ridiculous amount of ads that I’m not interesting in seeing and when I say ridiculous amount, I mean every 4th image is an ad. Why are you changing Pinterest?? It was a beautiful and smooth system, now I’m just getting frustrated with what’s being shown and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way. Please make it go back to how it was originally. I’m all for change as long as it’s good and so far especially with this ad nonsense it hasn’t been. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!!

What have you done?
Oh dear, Pinterest. What have you done? I used to spend hours scrolling through Pinterest. It was my favourite app on my phone. Now I barely bother to look at it. My feed consists of adverts and pins that I’m no longer interested in.
I used to love that I could browse through different categories - where’s that gone? How can I find inspiration when there’s nowhere to look? I loved looking at the humour section and used to chuckle away all evening but since the adverts were introduce there was nothing worth seeing. The same with the quotations section. I always used to find something that resonated with me and then suddenly it was full of banal rubbish with hardly a decent quote in sight.
Pinterest used to help me find trends for my business too - you could see how many times an item was pinned or liked (don’t even get me started on how the ‘like’ button disappeared. Sack the person who implemented that) but even that’s gone now.
Come on Team Pinterest, get your act together. It was a great app. You need to make it great again

Been using for years, so why now?
I’ve been using printerest for a few years and I’ve NEVER had any problems with it. Apart from recently I have a few, there is a new ‘ideas for you’ box when you search for things. Im fine with it but not when it comes up thinking I want to search for ‘dirty images’ or ‘smut 18+’ or ‘stoner problems’ I noticed a partern that it comes up with things referring to the pins you click on. I honestly don’t ever remember on clicking things like that at ALL. Even if I ran across something (what is againts the TOS) I reported it. So now I’m not the biggest fan for the ideas for you update. Another thing, I updated around 30 minuets ago and it told me to put in my age and said I’m not allowed to use it if I’m UNDER 13. I just turned 14 this month so I TRUEFULY answered with 14. Next it tells me I’m NOT allowed to use it because I’m under age. Please do something about this.
Otherwise I love Pinterest.
